Inductively coupled plasma-tandem mass spectrometry (ICP-MS/MS) is a relatively new technique, with the first triple quadrupole ICP-MS (ICP-QQQ) being introduced commercially in 2012. However, the technique has quickly been accepted for a wide variety of applications in industries including, but not limited to, manufacturing, contract analysis, government, research, and academia.
