In this paper, high-purity zinc selenide (ZnSe) prepared by the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) method was used as the raw material, and iron ion-doped zinc selenide polycrystals were successfully fabricated through the thermal diffusion method at 1100 °C for 30 h. The results showed that iron ions (Fe2+) successfully penetrated into the zinc selenide crystals, but the concentration of iron ions inside the crystals was relatively low, and the crystals exhibited numerous defects. To address this issue, we performed secondary sintering and annealing on the samples under high-temperature and high-pressure (HPHT) conditions, with the annealing temperature range set at 900–1200 °C. The results demonstrated that, under the synergistic effects of high temperature and high pressure, the lattice spacing in the crystals significantly decreased, defects were reduced, the distribution of iron ions became more uniform, and the concentration of iron ions in the central region increased. Additionally, the density and hardness of the samples were significantly improved. The method of secondary sintering under high-temperature and high-pressure provides a novel approach for the preparation of iron ion-doped zinc selenide polycrystalline ceramics, contributing to the enhancement of ceramic properties. It has been demonstrated that music can be an effective tool for shaping the future of college students. This study aimed to investigate the effects of college students' participation in group music activities on their pro-social behavior, and for the first time introduced the psychological variables of "positive social connections" and "perceived peer support". The results of this study show the following: (1) Group music activity participation is positively associated with pro-social behavior. (2) Positive social connections serve as a mediator between college student group music activity participation and college students' pro-social behavior. (3) Perceived peer support serves as a mediator between college student group music activity participation and college students' pro-social behavior. (4) Positive social connections and perceived peer support interlock to shape the relationship between group music activity participation and pro-social behavior. This study explores the intrinsic factors of college students' participation in group music activities to promote their pro-social behavior from the dual perspectives of music psychology and behavioral psychology, provides empirical support for educational practice, emphasizes the importance of group music activities in promoting the development of college students' pro-social behavior, and provides insights into new perspectives for college students' overall healthy development. Aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) are emerging as one of the outstanding candidates for energy storage systems on account of their excellent safety, lower price, and higher volumetric energy density. Nevertheless, their advancement is troubled by the deficiency of appropriate cathode materials. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are being developed to be attractive materials for electrodes based on their stability, good crystallinity, and flexibility in structural design. Herein, an anthraquinone-based COF (TfDa-COF) and an anthracene-based COF (TpDa-COF) were synthesized and used for aqueous ZIB cathodes to investigate the essential relationship between the active functional group and electrochemical properties. Experimental results combined with theoretical calculations show that introducing the anthraquinone carbonyl active site into TfDa-COF is beneficial to enhance the capacity (accounts for 95.2% of the total battery capacity) and reversibility of ZIBs compared with TpDa-COF, based on the high reversibility of the anthraquinone carbonyl active site and the structural stability of TfDa-COF, which displays a good specific capacity (96.6 mA h g−1 at 0.1 A g−1) and exceptional stability over 10 000 cycles (98% capacity retention). Outcomes in patients receiving invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) are currently unclear. The present study aimed to explore the prognostic factors of the mortality rate on day 28 in patients treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) and undergoing IMV. The IMV Mortality Prediction Score (IMPRES) of 129 patients in the ICU receiving IMV after emergency (or selective) endotracheal intubation from March 2018 to August 2020 was calculated. The patients were divided into survival (n=73) and death groups (n=56) on day 28. The predictive factors of independent and combined mortality rates were determined using a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and the area under the ROC curve (AUC). The AUC of the IMPRES for predicting patient death on day 28 was 0.785 (95% confidence interval (CI): 0.704-0.864, P<0.01). When the IMPRES cut-off was 4.50, the Youden index was at its maximum (0.487) with a sensitivity of 85.7% and a specificity of 63.0%. The AUC of the ventilator use time (days) at 12.5 days cut-off was 0.653 (95% CI: 0.56-0.746, P<0.01), the Youden index was 0.235 with a sensitivity of 52.1% and a specificity of 71.4%. The AUC of the IMPRES combined with the duration of ventilator use was 0.856 (95% CI: 0.789-0.922, P<0.001), the Youden index was 0.635 with a sensitivity of 84.9% and a specificity of 78.6%. The IMPRES was observed to be the main factor influencing the mortality rate of patients receiving IMV at the ICU on day 28, and the IMPRES combined with the duration of ventilator use had a significant predictive value for the 28-day mortality rates of these patients. Owing to various chemical structures and different basicity of amines, a fluorescent probe that could distinguish aromatic and aliphatic amines is highly desirable for practical applications. Herein, an olefin‐based, fluorescent COF (COF−Py−AN) with unique π‐electron deficient groups was synthesized, which was a functionalized platform to realize sensing of π electron‐rich aromatic amines. COF−Py−AN displayed fluorescence quenching in the presence of aromatic amines like aniline, with excellent selectivity against a variety of aromatic molecules, and the detection limit of COF−Py−AN toward aniline was as low as 1.29 μM. More importantly, COF−Py−AN could realize discriminating between aromatic and aliphatic amines. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations showed that the photoinduced electron transfer mechanism contributes to fluorescence sensing. Background: This study aims to investigate the relevance of platelet aggregation markers, specifically arachidonic acid (AA) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP), in relation to the prognosis of sepsis patients., Methods: A cohort of 40 sepsis patients was included and stratified, based on their 28-day post-treatment prognosis, into two groups: a survival group (n = 31) and a severe sepsis group (n = 9. Then, their various clinical parameters, including patient demographics, platelet counts (PLT), inflammatory markers, and platelet aggregation rates (PAR) induced by AA and ADP between the two groups, were compared. Long-term health implications of sepsis were assessed using the Acute Physiologic Assessment and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) score, and logistic regression analysis was conducted to evaluate the prognostic significance of PAR in sepsis patients., Results: Patients with severe sepsis exhibited significantly elevated levels of procalcitonin (PCT), platelet adhesion rates, and PAR induced by ADP (P < 0.05), but having lower PLT (P < 0.05), compared to those in the survival group. Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that PAR induced by ADP was a protective factor in predicting prognosis in sepsis patients (P < 0.01)., Conclusions: Activation of platelets in sepsis intensifies inflammatory response. Patients with sepsis whose ADP-induced PAR was < 60% displayed significant impairment in platelet aggregation function, and had higher mortality rate.
