To observe the curative effect of joint administration of acupuncture, western and herbal medicines and bamboo-jar-cupping in the treatment of locomotor dysfunction in patients with apoplexy (acute phase) of wind-phlegm blocking meridian-collateral type in acute stroke patients, and its influence on some relevant laboratory indexes.A total of 100 cases of acute stroke patients of wind-phlegm blocking meridian-collateral type were recruited, and equally and randomly divided into control group and treatment group according to the random number table. The patients of both groups received treatment of conventional western medicines (for anti-platelet aggregation, blood-lipid regulation, arterial plaque-stabilization, cerebral cell protection and blood pressure-lowering), Chinese herbal medicines (for promoting blood circulation to dredge the meridian-collaterals), and acupuncture of Neiguan (PC6), Chize (LU5), Zusanli (ST36), Binao (LI14) and Sanyinjiao (SP6); and in addition, the patients of the treatment group also treated by cupping with bamboo-jar (kept for 10 min). The treatment was conducted once a day for 2 weeks. After the treatment, the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA), Barthel Index (BI), and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score were used to assess the state of neurofunction, locomotor function, daily living ability, and TCM symptoms. The contents of serum C-reactive protein, D-dimer and blood homocysteine were detected using radical immunodiffusion, immunoturbidimetry, and enzymic methods, respectively.After the treatment, of the 50 and 50 cases in the control and treatment groups, 5 and 6 were cured, 7 and 18 experienced marked improvement, 23 and 20 were effective, and 15 and 6 ineffective, with the effective rate being significantly higher in the treatment group (88.0%) than in the control group (70.0%,Joint administration of acupuncture, western and Chinese herbal medicines and cupping can promote the recovery of nerve function, improve locomotor function, activities of daily living and quality of life, and reduce inflammatory state in acute stroke patients with wind-phlegm blocking collaterals.

Determination of the synergetic region with both coalbed methane (CBM) enrichment and higher permeability and its distribution is fundamentally crucial to optimize well design and pattern arrangement for CBM recovery from coal. To address this issue, a predictive model was developed based on fuzzy theory by taking into account the main geological factors that affect the gas enrichment and permeability in coal reservoirs. Following the statistical analysis on a number of geological parameters, Euclid approach degree (a comprehensive evaluation coefficient) and fuzzy matter-elements were determined and integrated into the model. The information entropy method was used to evaluate the effect weight of each geologic factor on overall object of the synergetic gas-enrichment and higher-permeability region. The model was applied to the coal seam No. 3 of a developing coal block in the south of Qinshui basin as an example. The results show that the geological factors such as coal rank, gas saturation, coping thickness, transitional coal structure, and volatile content determine the distributions of the synergetic gas-enrichment and higher-permeability region with higher weight coefficients over 9%. Compared with these key factors, the factors such as coal thickness, gas content, methane concentration, ash content, principal stress difference, fracture density, porosity, and burial depth have only the weight coefficients of

Southern Qinshui basin is the only area where coal-bed methane (CBM) in anthracitic reservoir is developed in large scale, making the research on development geology an urgent task. The results of tracking geological research on developing engineering of coal-bed methane show that 1) geological structure, tectonic stress field, and coal reservoir pressure control regional changes in productivity; 2) high productivity wells in research area distribute in the secondary anticline core synclinorium while low productivity wells mainly distribute in secondary anticline core of anticlinorium or normal fault zone; 3) primary reservoir pressure has a remarkable effect on coal-bed methane well production; and 4) tectonic stress fields determine development of folds and closure of fractures and control gas content and permeability of coal. The coal reservoir structure is the basic factor affecting productivity of coal-bed methane wells while gas content and permeability are direct geological factors controlling coalbed methane well production. In addition, factors of desorption, diffusion, and seepage network related to reservoir structure determine the development difficulty.

The application of high performance liquid chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC/TOF-MS) for the qualitation and quantitation of 11 synthetic antioxidants and preservatives in edible vegetable oil samples is reported here. The qualitation by HPLC/TOF-MS is accomplished with the accurate mass of the deprotonated molecules [M−H]−, along with the accurate mass of their main fragment ion. In order to obtain sufficient sensitivity for quantitation purposes (using deprotonated molecule), segment programme of fragmentor voltage is designed in negative ion mode. The mass accuracy typically obtained is routinely better than 5 ppm. The 11 compounds behave linearly in the 0.05–5.0 mg/kg concentration range, with correlation coefficient >0.997. A novel and quick ultra performance liquid chromatography-photo diode array detector method has been developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of ten synthetic preservatives in foodstuff. An Acquity BEH C18 column (50 × 2.1 mm i.d., 1.7 μm particle size) was used. The mobile phase consisted of a mixture of acetonitrile and 20 mM potassium dihydrogen phosphate/phosphoric acid (pH 4.29) buffer at the gradient elution program. The ten compounds behaved linearly in the 0.100–20.0 μg mL−1 concentration range, with correlation coefficient >0.999. The precision inter- and intra-day of the ten synthetic preservatives at three concentration levels were 0.11–5.75% (RSD). Piezoelectric materials have an ability to efficiently transform mechanical energy to electric energy and vice versa, which makes them useful as structural dampers. The objective of this work is to investigate the damping capabilities of a piezoceramic shunted by different types of passive electrical circuits. The material properties of the shunted piezoceramic are modeled and the analytical results show that the shunted piezoceramic exhibits different damping potentials depending on the piezoelectric properties of the material and the shunt circuits. An experimental set-up of a cantilever beam with surface bonded piezoceramics is proposed to investigate the damping characteristics of the shunted piezoceramic. An analytical model is developed to describe the influence of the shunted piezoceramic on the dynamic response of the beam. The damping performances of the piezoceramic shunted by different circuits are compared respectively and the experimental results show approximate agreement with the numerical simulations of the model.

Image denoising usually needs to estimate noise variance. In order to avoid estimating the noise variance and remove the white Gaussian noise from image, a denoising method based on adaptive sparse representation was proposed. It trains the initialized dictionary based on training samples constructed from noised image. The training process is finished by an iteration algorithm which alternates between adaptive sparse representation and dictionary update. Based on the trained dictionary, noise reduction is conducted through adaptive sparse representation of the noised image. Compared with adaptive Wiener filtering and adaptive denoising based on Basis Pursuit, the proposed method could remain more image details and have better performance. With the proposed method, laser electronic speckle interference image could be enhanced and its interference fringe became clearer.
