Summary: We conducted a retrospective, multicentre study to compare consolidation therapy with or without first‐line autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) for peripheral T‐cell lymphoma (PTCL) patients in a real‐world setting. We enrolled 347 PTCL patients who achieved complete response after first‐line treatment. Of these, 257 received consolidation chemotherapy (non‐ASCT group) and 90 received ASCT (ASCT group). Clinical outcomes were comparable between ASCT and non‐ASCT groups. After propensity score matching, the 2‐year cumulative incidence of treatment‐related mortality and relapse remained similar between groups (1.9% vs. 2.0%, p = 0.985; 24.7% vs. 47.1%, p = 0.021). However, significant differences emerged in progression‐free survival and overall survival probabilities. Within the T‐cell lymphoma subgroup, ASCT patients exhibited favourable outcomes compared to non‐ASCT patients: 2‐year progression‐free survival (73.4% vs. 50.8%, p = 0.024) and overall survival (92.1% vs. 73.5%, p = 0.021). Notably, no significant differences were observed for patients with NK/T‐cell lymphoma. Automobile drive motor with flat wire winding has improved the slot fill factor and efficiency. However, under the current environment of drive motors development to high frequency and voltage, the increase in winding AC loss has weakened those advantages. Accurate analysis of AC loss and the design of high‐performance windings have become the key issues and difficulties in the design process of drive motors. Based on the winding AC loss generation mechanism, the authors propose a winding AC loss analysis method, which can effectively separate DC loss, eddy current loss, and circulating current loss. The method is used to analyse winding AC loss of 60 kW flat wire winding permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). In addition, parallel multi‐strand flat wire windings are proposed to reduce the winding AC loss and eliminate the limitation of the magnetic load of the motor on the selection of winding layers. The AC loss of the parallel multi‐strand flat wire windings at different frequencies is calculated, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed winding topology in reducing the winding AC loss. Mutations in isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) are frequently found in low-grade gliomas, secondary glioblastoma, chondrosarcoma, acute myeloid leukemias, and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. However, the molecular mechanisms of how IDH2 mutations induce carcinogenesis remain unclear. Using overlapping PCR, transfection, immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, measurements of enzyme activity, glucose, lactic acid, ATP, and reactive oxygen species (ROS), cell viability, protein degradation assays post-inhibition of the 26S proteasome (bortezomib) or HSP90 (17-AAG), and a homology model, we demonstrated that the properties of ten cancer-associated IDH2 variants (R140G/Q/W and R172S/K/M/W/G/C/P) arising from point mutations are closely related to their structure and stability. Compared with wild-type IDH2, the R172 and R140 point mutations resulted in a decrease in IDH2 activity, ROS, and lactate levels and an increase in glucose and ATP levels under normal and hypoxic conditions, indicating that mutant IDH2 increases cell dependency on mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, and reduces glycolysis under hypoxia. Overexpression of most of IDH2 point mutants showed anti-proliferative effects in the 293T and BV2 cell lines by inhibition of PI3K/AKT signaling and cyclin D1 expression and/or induced the expression of TNF-α and IL-6. Furthermore, bortezomib treatment resulted in dramatic degradation of IDH2 mutants, including R140G, R140Q, R140W, R172S and R172K, whereas it had little impact on the expression of WT and other mutants (R172M, R172W, R172G, R172C and R172P). In addition, targeting HSP90 minimally affected the expression of mutated IDH2 due to a lack of interaction between HSP90 and IDH2. The homology model further revealed that changes in conformation and IDH2 protein stability appeared to be associated with these point mutations. Four mononuclear complexes were synthesized through simple self‐assembly reactions, [Dy(L1)2(NO3)H2O] (1), [Tb(L1)2(NO3)MeOH] (2), [Ho(L1)2(NO3)H2O] ⋅ 5.5H2O (3) (HL1=4‐bromo‐2‐((quinolin‐8‐ylimino)methyl)phenol), and [Dy(L2)2(NO3)H2O] (4) (HL2=2,4‐dibromo‐6‐((quinolin‐8‐ylimino)methyl)phenol). They are characterized by their structures and magnetic properties. The magnetic data show that the Dy clusters all have obvious frequency‐dependent magnetic behavior and slow magnetic relaxation effects. The complex 1 under an external dc field with the anisotropic barrier of 14.41 K and pre‐exponential factor τ0=2.70×10−6 s, the complex 4 under an external dc field with the anisotropic barrier of 64.36 K and pre‐exponential factor τ0=2.38×10−7 s. By applying the hydrophilic ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C4mim]Cl), and inorganic salts (K3PO4), an ionic liquid aqueous two-phase system (ILATPS) was established for the separation of Dendrobium huoshanense polysaccharides (DhPs) and proteins. The effects of inorganic salt concentration, IL quantity, crude DhPs concentration, pH value and temperature were studied to achieve the optimal condition. With the best combination of ILATPS (1.75 g K3PO4, 1.25 g [C4mim]Cl, 10 mg crude DhPs and 5.0 mL ddH2O at pH 7.0 under 25 °C), the extraction efficiency rates for DhPs and proteins were 93.4% and 90.2%, respectively. The processed DhPs retrieved from the lower salt-rich phase comprised mannose, glucose, galactose, arabinose, and galacturonic acid with a molar ratio of 185:71:1.5:1:1 and the molecular weight was 2.14 × 105 Da. A three-dimensional hydrodynamic-ecological lake model combined with field measurements and sampling was applied to investigate the impacts of floating photovoltaic (PV) systems on hydrodynamics and water quality in a shallow tropical reservoir in Singapore. The model was validated using field data and subsequently applied to predict temperature and water quality changes for a hypothetical 42 ha placement of floating photovoltaic panels, covering about 30% of the water surface and capable of generating up to 50 MW of energy. The impact of the panel placement was studied numerically. The area of the reservoir where panels are placed experiences both light limiting and reduced wind stress conditions. The model indicated an average water temperature increase of 0.3 °C beneath the panels, consistent with the field observation from a 1 ha demonstration installation. Comparisons of model results between the uncovered and covered areas reveal greater stability of the water column (increase in Richardson number from 2.3 to 3.3) and reduction in mixing energy (from 9 × 10–7 to 7 × 10–7 W/kg) under the PV panels. Furthermore, the model predicted that chlorophyll a, total organic carbon and dissolved oxygen concentrations would decline by up to 30%, 15% and 50%, respectively, under the photovoltaic panels. Total nitrogen and total phosphorus, averaged over the water column, increased by 10% and 30%, respectively, under the panels. Cherry tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) belongs to the respiratory leap type of fruit, post-harvest respiratory metabolism exuberant, easy to lead to nutrient loss, tissue destruction, and then rotting and deterioration, seriously affecting its commercial value. Therefore, research on post-harvest preservation technology of cherry tomatoes is crucial for related industries. Spontaneous modified atmosphere film packaging technology can extend the storage period of fruits and vegetables by adjusting the gas concentration of the storage environment, so that the fruits and vegetables can be maintained at a level suitable for their storage. In this study, the respiration model of cherry tomatoes at different temperatures was established by measuring the respiration rate of cherry tomatoes at different temperatures. It was found that the respiration rate of cherry tomatoes increased with increasing temperature and gradually decreased with increasing storage time. T-test results showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental values and the predicted values. The chemical kinetic model and its equilibrium equation were used to determine the parameters of modified atmosphere packaging of cherry tomatoes. PEG/PVDF membranes and SPEEK/PEG/PVDF blend membranes were prepared with sulfonated polyether ether ketone (SPEEK), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) according to the parameters of modified atmosphere membranes to keep cherry tomatoes fresh. The results showed that there was a significant effect of package method on the preservation parameters of cherry tomatoes, the SPEEK/PEG/PVDF membrane treatment group significantly reduced the weight loss rate of cherry tomatoes and maintained the lower film permeability and higher sound fruit rate, hardness, titratable acid (TA) content, VC content and total soluble solids (TSS) content of cherry tomatoes. Metal-organic frameworks (MOF)-polymer hybrid hydrogel solves the processable forming of MOF powder and energy consumption of uranium extraction. However, the hybrid hydrogel by conventional synthesis methods inevitably lead to MOF agglomeration, poor filler-polymer interfacial compatibility and slowly adsorption. Herein, we designed that ZIF-67 was implanted into the carboxymethyl cellulose/polyacrylamide (CMC/PAM) by network-repairing strategy. The carboxyl and amino groups on the surface of CMC/PAM drive the uniform growth of ZIF-67 inside the CMC/PAM, which form an array of oriented and penetrating microchannels through coordination bonds. Our strategy eliminate the ZIF-67 agglomeration, increase the interfacial compatibility between MOF and polymer. The method also improve the free and fast diffusion of uranium in CMC/PAM/ZIF-67 hydrogel. According to the experimental, these enhancements synergistically enabled the CMC/PAM/ZIF-67 have a maximum adsorption capacity of 952 mg g−1. The adsorption process of CMC/PAM/ZIF-67 fits well with pseudo-second-order model and Langmuir isotherm. Meanwhile, the CMC/PAM/ZIF-67 maintain a high removal rate (87.3 %) and chemical stability even during ten adsorption-desorption cycles. Background: The tumor microenvironment (TME) is critical in the progression and metastasis of skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM). Differences in tumor-infiltrating immune cells (TICs) and their gene expression have been linked to cancer prognosis. Given that immunotherapy can be effective against SKCM, we aimed to identify key genes that regulate the immunological state of the TME in SKCM. Methods: Data from 471 SKCM patients in the The Cancer Genome Atlas were analyzed using ESTIMATE algorithms to generate an ImmuneScore, StromalScore, and EstimateScore for each patient. Patients were classified into low- or high-score groups based on median values, then compared in order to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Then a protein–protein interaction (PPI) network was developed, and a prognostic model was created using uni- and multivariate Cox regression as well as the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO). Key DEGs were identified using the web-based tool GEPIA. Profiles of TIC subpopulations in each patient were analyzed using CIBORSORT, and possible correlations between key DEG expression and TICs were explored. Levels of CCL8 were determined in SKCM and normal skin tissue using immunohistochemistry. Results: Two scores correlated positively with the prognosis of SKCM patients. Comparison of the low- and high-score groups revealed 1684 up-regulated and 18 down-regulated DEGs, all of which were enriched in immune-related functions. The prognostic model identified CCL8 as a key gene, which CIBERSORT found to correlate with M1 macrophages. Immunohistochemistry revealed strong expression in SKCM tissue, but failed to detect the protein in normal skin tissue. There is a consensus that central compartment lymph node dissection or modified radical lateral neck dissection should be performed in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) patients with lymph node metastases. Prophylactic central lymph node dissection (PCLND) in patients with clinically node-negative (cN0) PTMC to reduce locoregional recurrence (LRR) rate and improve prognosis remains controversial. The present study aimed to analyze the effect of PCLND on LRR and postoperative complications of PTMC in cN0 patients. We reviewed a cohort of patients with cN0 PTMC who underwent surgery between January 1997 and October 2019. The patients were divided into the PCLND and no lymph node dissection (NLND) groups. Kaplan–Meier curves were constructed to estimate 15-year locoregional recurrence-free survival rate of the two groups, and the difference was compared by the log-rank test. Three Cox regression models were performed to evaluate the correlation between PCLND and LRR. All patients underwent thyroidectomy, and 25 patients developed LRR; of whom, 23 underwent PCLND at initial surgery and 2 went without lymph node dissection. Cox regression analysis showed that PCLND had no effect on LRR. Postoperative hematoma and permanent recurrent laryngeal nerve injury did not occur in the NLND group, and their incidences were 0.5% and 0.3% in the PCLND group, respectively. Alloy nanoparticle-based nanozymes exhibit unique catalytic properties resulting from their tailored atomic coordination numbers and geometric parameters. The development of ultrafine alloy nanozymes is effective for improving their catalytic activities and promoting multifunction. However, it remains a challenge because of the aggregation of alloy nanoparticles resulting from the high surface free energy. This paper reports a strategy for stabilizing ultrafine and uniform CuPd alloy nanoparticles (2.18 ± 0.53 nm) in MIL-101 as a biosensor platform. The steady-state kinetic studies show that CuPd@MIL-101 can serve as a robust peroxidase-like nanozyme with a lower Michaelis constant (Km) than horseradish peroxidase (HRP). H2O2 and glucose were chosen as model targets to develop a sensitive label-free colorimetric method using CuPd@MIL-101. The linear detection of H2O2 in the range of 0.25–700 μM was achieved with a detection limit of 0.043 μM and that of glucose in the linear range of 0.5–400 μM with a detection limit of 0.16 μM. The catalytic activity of CuPd@MIL-101 can remain stable in the dulbecco's modified eagle's medium (DMEM) high-glucose medium and phosphate buffer solution (PBS) for at least five days. Background: MicroRNA‐410 (miR‐410) has been found to be deregulated in neonatal hypoxic‐ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). However, the clinical significance and biological function of miR‐410 remain largely elusive. This study aims to investigate the expression and diagnostic performance of miR‐410 in HIE newborns, and explores the neuroprotective effect of miR‐410 in an oxygen‐glucose deprivation (OGD)‐induced cell injury model. Methods: Expression of miR‐410 was examined using quantitative real‐time PCR, and its diagnostic performance was evaluated using a receiver operating characteristic analysis. We used OGD‐injured PC12 and SH‐SY5Y cells to construct an in vitro HIE model. The effect of miR‐410 on OGD‐induced cell injury was analyzed by assessing cell viability and apoptosis. Enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay was used to evaluate inflammation in cell model. A target gene was assessed according to the luciferase reporter assay. Results: Serum miR‐410 expression was significantly decreased in HIE newborns and OGD‐injured cell model. The reduced miR‐410 expression served as a biomarker for the diagnosis and progression of HIE. The OGD‐induced impaired cell viability, enhanced cell apoptosis, and activated neuroinflammation were abrogated by the overexpression of miR‐140 in both PC12 and SH‐SY5S cells. Regarding the mechanisms underlying the function of miR‐410, phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) was proposed as a direct target of miR‐410. Conclusion: All data revealed that serum downregulated miR‐410 in HIE serves as candidate diagnostic biomarker, and that miR‐410 exerts a neuroprotective role in OGD‐injured cells by improving cell viability and inhibiting cell apoptosis through targeting PTEN. The margins of protected areas are usually considered to have greater forest degradation, and given that most mammals live outside protected areas, researchers and conservation practitioners are increasingly recognizing that nonprotected areas must be incorporated into conservation strategy. However, the strategy used to manage these areas still involves increasing the size of protected areas, while not considering the habitat characteristics and requirements of the species. In this study, during a 3‐year period, camera trap and habitat characteristic surveys were used to estimate composition, diversity, and habitat characteristics of mammals to determine habitat characteristics or increase the size of protected areas what should be considered first for mammals' conservation in a nonprotected area near the Huangshan Mountains in Anhui Province, China. From June 2017 to October 2019, 18 species of mammals were recorded, more than in any other protected area nearby. The linear model analysis results showed that habitat characteristics of mammals were different and showed a significant correlation with their relative abundance. Most species were related to vegetation characteristics, except primates (Macaca thibetana), and rodents (Leopoldamys edwardsi). Therefore, to establish conservation policies for nonprotected areas, habitat characteristics should be of prime concern, followed by increasing the size of protected areas to provide effective refuge areas for species conservation. One new species and one new record species of Sphaerolaimus are described. Sphaerolaimus longispiculatus sp. nov. is characterized by body length 2 213–2 470 µm, amphideal fovea 12%–16% corresponding body diameters in males and 9%–10% corresponding body diameters in females, long slender spicules 2.8–3.8 cloacal body diameters, eight small papilliform precloacal supplements, gubernaculum without apophysis, and tail conico-cylindrical, 2.5–3.7 cloacal/anal body diameters long. Sphaerolaimus gracilis is recorded from the first time in the mangroves wetlands, it can be distinguished from the original desceiption by longer spicules (66–71 µm vs 56 µm) and wider body (a=20.1–21.4 vs 25). What is known and objective: The blood concentration of tacrolimus can be affected by co‐administrated drugs. The objective is to draw more attention to herb‐drug interactions in China, where herbal medicines are commonly used. Case description: The blood concentration of tacrolimus in a girl with refractory nephrotic syndrome decreased nearly a half despite no change in dose. Nebulizer therapy, cyclophosphamide and a compound Chinese herbal medicine were the only additional treatments than usual. What is new and conclusion: The most possible cause of the decrease in tacrolimus concentration was the administration of Radix Astragali among compound Chinese herbal medicine granules. The temperature field of stator strands with a transposed structure is challenging to analyze in large machines. In order to deal with this problem, this article presents a three-dimensional thermal network model of stator transposed strands for hydrogenerator. Take a 250-MW hydrogenerator as an example, and a novel thermal network model is established. In the proposed model, the solving domain is discretized according to the real physical structure, the transposition structure of stator strands is taken into account, and the change of heat sources caused by transposed strands is considered. Next, results of the proposed model are compared with those of the traditional thermal network without considering the transposition structure, and the proposed model can better model the real structure of the stator strands. Then, the effect of a different number of ventilation ducts on temperature distribution is discussed. Besides, the calculation results were compared with the finite-element method, and the proposed method took less time to calculate. Finally, the temperature of the stator was measured by the embedded temperature sensor, and the correctness of the calculation results of the proposed model is verified. • A novel multi-activity graphene oxide platelets was successfully synthesized. • GO-DM-AO exhibits excellent adsorption towards U(VI) at pH = 8. • Adsorption equilibrium time was shortened by 50% than that of GO-DM. • GO-DM-AO displayed superior adsorption at low concentration of U(VI). The introduction of organic groups onto graphene oxide (GO) platelets can supply additional active sites for adsorption of uranium(VI) (U(VI)) to improve the adsorption capacity. However, as a result of the existence of stabilizing π-conjugation system, a facile and effective modification method remains a challenge. Therefore, a novel strategy is exploited by nano-sized architectural design of multi-activity GO through post-decoration with amidoxime functionalized diaminomaleonitrile (DM-AO). The post-modification of DM-AO successfully activated the inert sites in GO platelets. Meanwhile, the amidoxime group in DM-AO can improve the adsorption selectivity. Adsorption amount of U(VI) on the as prepared GO-DM-AO reached at 935 mg g−1, which is increased by 209% increment compared with that of pristine GO at the same concentration. The adsorption efficiency of GO-DM-AO is greatly improved, and the time to reach the adsorption equilibrium is half of that of GO. Excitingly, the excellent removal efficiency could still maintained even after 5 cycles of adsorption-desorption. The outstanding adsorption amount, short adsorption equilibrium time, and excellent removal efficiency can provide a theoretical guidance for further immobilization of U(VI) from seawater. This paper presents observations of diurnal cycles of stratification and vertical mixing in Kranji Reservoir, a shallow tropical reservoir with an average depth of 6.7 m located in the northwest corner of Singapore, via field measurements, focusing on a series of three 24-h self-contained autonomous microprofiler (SCAMP) measurements. This data, representing one of the most complete data sets, shows vertical mixing parameters for a tropical shallow reservoir over a diurnal cycle. Responding to diurnal cycles, the observations indicate that the thermal and flow structures are delineated by two distinct thermoclines: a three-layer structure during the daytime and a two-layer structure during the night-time when the two thermoclines merged into one. The daytime structure consisted of a thin surface mixed layer (SML) above the diurnal thermocline, an intermediate hypolimnion layer with the two thermoclines as its boundaries, and an underflow layer below the secondary thermocline. This underflow is shown to primarily arise from a horizontal temperature gradient generated by the daytime wind and stratification, and maintained by night-time differential cooling. The nocturnal structure is comprised of a SML deepened by penetrative cooling and the underflow layer. Analysis of relevant dimensionless numbers, the turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) budget, and FrT–ReT turbulent phase diagram provide a consistent picture of the different mixing mechanisms within each layer. Abstract In recent years, deep neural networks have achieved remarkable successes in many pattern recognition tasks. However, the high computational cost and large memory overhead hinder them from applications on resource-limited devices. To address this problem, many deep network acceleration and compression methods have been proposed. One group of methods adopt decomposition and pruning techniques to accelerate and compress a pre-trained model. Another group designs single compact unit to stack their own networks. These methods are subject to complicated training processes, or lack of generality and extensibility. In this paper, we propose a general framework of architecture distillation, namely LightweightNet, to accelerate and compress convolutional neural networks. Rather than compressing a pre-trained model, we directly construct the lightweight network based on a baseline network architecture. The LightweightNet, designed based on a comprehensive analysis of the network architecture, consists of network parameter compression, network structure acceleration, and non-tensor layer improvement. Specifically, we propose the strategy of low-dimensional features of fully-connected layers for substantial memory saving, and design multiple efficient compact blocks to distill convolutional layers of baseline network with accuracy-sensitive distillation rule for notable time saving. Finally, it can effectively reduce the computational cost and the model size by > 4 × with negligible accuracy loss. Benchmarks on MNIST, CIFAR-10, ImageNet and HCCR (handwritten Chinese character recognition) datasets demonstrate the advantages of the proposed framework in terms of speed, performance, storage and training process. In HCCR, our method even outperforms traditional handcrafted features-based classifiers in terms of speed and storage while maintaining state-of-the-art recognition performance. It is clear that uranium as a "hard" lewis acid can easily form chelating bond with "hard" donor-ligands so that as-papered PA-DFNS has an excellent adsorption capacity (q m = 1106 mg g−1, 298.15 K), which exhibits a 163% increment compared with that of original DNFS under the same condition. In the meantime, the adsorption equilibrium time of PA-DNFS (t = 60 min) was shortened by 33% compared with that of pristine DNFS. Ultra-fine particle processing system (UPPS) was more advantageous in producing microparticles (MPs) than the conventional technologies since it was applicable for a wide range of drugs and the MPs could be manufactured in a successive and controllable way under mild conditions. The MPs based on this technology showed small uniform particle size, proper surface roughness, and dense structure, which were anticipated to benefit tablet compaction. Therefore, ethyl cellulose (EC) was selected as the matrix material to confirm the superiorities of UPPS produced MPs for compaction due to its rigidity and inflexibility. To improve the encapsulation efficiency (EE%) of EC based MPs, hydrophilic/hydrophobic plasticizers and polymers were added, and the effect was mechanistically investigated regarding to the polymer properties and particle size of MPs. The results revealed that the EE% of MPs was significantly improved in the presence of hydrophilic polymers, which was mainly related to the reduced drug leakage as a result of modified polymer properties and decreased particle size of MPs. The forming mechanism of MPs determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) revealed that the MPs were enriched with low molecular weight polymers on the surface due to the unevenly migration driven by the centrifugal force. The topography of MPs determined by atomic force microscopy showed that the MPs had considerable rough surface to the commercial excipient, which benefited for further compaction. In this study, hollow Co, Fe@air@Co and Fe@Co nanoparticles (NPs) have been synthesized respectively by electroless plating Co shell on Fe core and controlling reaction time based on galvanic cell reaction between Co shell and Fe core in hydrochloric acid at room temperature. The electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption properties of these three NPs are also been investigated. The results indicate that the relationship between Fe core and Co shell is critical to the EM wave absorption properties of hollow Co, Fe@air@Co and Fe@Co nanoparticles when blended with 70 wt% in paraffin-based samples. Fe@air@Co nanoparticles shows the best EM wave absorption properties with minimum reflection loss of −42.75 dB and effective bandwidth of 4.1 GHz under −10 dB. Colloidal nanocrystal clusters (CNCs), which are composed of many nanocrystal subunits, have attracted intensive attention because they can possess not only the properties of each single subunit but also the collective properties and novel functionalities resulting from the ensembles. However, to date, the successful preparation of metal CNCs has rarely been reported. In this work, a simple one-pot solvothermal method is developed to prepare PtNi-alloyed CNCs with homogeneous distribution of Pt and Ni elements, porous feature, and interconnected steady framework. The PtNi CNCs are composed of many PtNi nanocrystals with size around 7-8 nm. Their growth mechanism is proposed through a systematic study. Thanks to the unique structure, the as-prepared PtNi CNCs show better catalytic performance in methanol oxidation reaction than that of PtNi nanocrystals and Pt/C catalysts. This work is important because it not only provides a new method for the preparation of metal CNCs with desired morphology and properties, but also paves the way for practical applications of metal nanoparticles. This paper examines the randomness of porous structure composed by cubes or spheres and particle size level in flow and heat transfer characteristics using the 3D lattice Boltzmann method. The simulation results show that randomness has significant effects on permeability and the Nusselt number when the number and size of spheres or cubes are fixed. As the particle size level increases, normalized permeability increases, but the Nusselt number decreases. When the particle size level increases to five, permeability and the Nusselt number cease to change. The permeability of random porous media composed of multi-sized particles is calculated by using the lattice Boltzmann method. This paper studies the randomness of porous structure, particle size level and particle shape on flow characteristics. Results show that randomness has significant effects on permeability when the number and size of spheres or cubes are fixed, especially for the cubes. As the particle size level increases, the normalized permeability increases. When the size level increases to five, the permeability does not continue to increase. Furthermore, this paper studies the effect of particle shape on flow characteristics. The results show that the normalized permeability of sphere particle is larger than cube particle. This study examines two important parameters: the convective heat-transfer coefficient and radiative heat-transfer coefficient, which have a significant impact on coil temperature in a furnace. A new three-dimensional model is proposed for convective heat transfer, and the factors affecting the Nusselt number ( Nu) are studied using the orthogonal test method. Finally, the relationship between the Nu number and flow rate is determined. Considering the complex geometric structure of a furnace, this study uses the Monte Carlo method to calculate the angle factor and obtains the radiant heat flux using a radiation network diagram. The calculated values are applied to steel coil temperatures for accurate boundary conditions. The results show that the temperature simulated by using the mathematical model is in good agreement with the experimental data obtained with the thermocouple insert experiment. Flow and heat transfer through a 2D random porous medium are studied by using the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). For the random porous medium, the influence of disordered cylinder arrangement on permeability and Nusselt number are investigated. Results indicate that the permeability and Nusselt number for different cylinder locations are unequal even with the same number and size of cylinders. New correlations for the permeability and coefficient b ′ D en of the Forchheimer equation are proposed for random porous medium composed of Gaussian distributed circular cylinders. Furthermore, a general set of heat transfer correlations is proposed and compared with existing experimental data and empirical correlations. FeCoNiCrAl high entropy alloy powders with flaky shape were prepared by mechanical alloying in a planetary ball milling machine for 70 h. The electromagnetic response behavior and electromagnetic wave absorption property of the powders (70 wt% powders) dispersed in the paraffin matrix were investigated as a function of frequency in the range of 2–18 GHz. We found that the calculated reflection loss (RL) was shown that the minimum RL reached −35.3 dB at 10.35 GHz with a matching layer thickness of 1.5 mm and an effective absorption bandwidth of 2.7 GHz (9.2–11.9 GHz), indicating FeCoNiCrAl high entropy alloy powders have excellent electromagnetic wave absorption properties. Subsoil compaction is an increasing problem in modern agriculture, but is not easily recognized in practice, also because of possible within-field spatial variations. This paper addresses the question of how within-field spatial variations in soil bulk density and other soil characteristics relate to within-field spatial variations in crop yield and potential CO 2 and N 2 O emissions from soil. Four fields (5 to 20 ha each) were selected at the suggestion of crop farmers, and sampled using a random soil sampling design (100 samples per field). Undisturbed soil samples were taken at depth of 5–10, 30–35, and 50–55 cm and soil bulk density and potential CO 2 and N 2 O emissions measured under controlled conditions. At each sampling point, also top soil (0–20 cm) samples were taken for determination of pH, texture, SOM, and (micro)nutrients, and soil penetration resistance measurements and visual assessments of soil structure were made. Wheat yields were recorded with harvesters equipped with GPS and yield recorders. Mean soil bulk density in the sub-soil (30–35 cm) ranged between fields from 1.36 ± 0.08 to 1.60 ± 0.11 g cm−3. Mean wheat yields ranged between fields and years from 7.6 ± 0.6 and 11.3 ± 2.4 Mg ha−1. Semi-variogram analyses showed that crop yields and soil properties were mostly spatially dependent; nugget-to-sill ratios were < 25% with ranges of 137 to 773 m. The ratio of CO 2 emissions to N 2 O emissions was negatively related to soil bulk density, especially following N application. In conclusion, within-field spatial variations in subsoil bulk density were successfully related to spatial variations in crop yield and potential CO 2 and N 2 O emissions. The ratio of CO 2 emissions to N 2 O emissions had a much greater response to spatial variations in soil bulk density than wheat yield. In this paper, the MRT (Multiple Relaxation Time)-D2Q9 model and the MRT-D2Q5 are employed to simulate the flow and heat transfer of laminar confined impinging jet flow. For impinging jet flows, the paper considers the effect of Reynolds numbers and jet-impingement surface distance ratio ( H / W ) on the flow and temperature fields. As for the investigation of heat transfer behaviors on stagnation Nusselt number, it is evident that the effect of H / W is not significant. Determining the sources and factors influencing the spatial variation of heavy metals in the surface sediments of tidal flats is important for controlling and reducing heavy metal pollution. We used principal component analysis and partial least square regression to analyse the distribution characteristics, sources, and factors influencing the spatial variation of nine heavy metals (As, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, V, and Zn) in the surface sediments of tidal flats along four sites located on the northern Jiangsu coast. Our results indicate that the northern three sampling areas had a high heavy metal content, whereas the southern sampling area had a low heavy metal content. The heavy metals Mn and Pb are related to both natural and anthropogenic sources, whereas V and Cr are primarily derivatives of human activities, and As, Co, Cu, Ni, and Zn are primarily a result of natural processes. The spatial variation of Mn and Pb was primarily affected by the total inorganic carbon and clay content (positive affect) as well as the sand and silt content (negative affect). The spatial variation of V and Cr was primarily related to silt, clay, and total phosphorus content (positive influence) as well as sand (negative influence). In addition, the spatial variation of As, Co, Cu, Ni, and Zn was primarily influenced by the total organic carbon and clay content (positive effect) as well as sand and pH (negative effect). The grain size of sediments plays an important role in the spatial variation of heavy metals in the surface sediments of tidal flats, with fine-grained clay materials being related to the enrichment of heavy metals. Air pollution is a hot issue of current research. In recent years, air quality of China shows the significantly declining tendency. To explore temporal-spatial distribution rule of air quality status of China not including Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan, air quality indexes (AQI) of 31 provincial capitals of China in 2014 were taken as research objects. By literature retrieval, data excavation, statistic analysis and logical reasoning, temporal-spatial distribution rule of air quality status from 31 provincial capitals of China and its macroscopic origin were deeply studied. The results showed that; firstly, more than 80% of provincial capitals in China had the phenomenon of air quality exceeding standard to different degrees in 2014; secondly, air quality status of China showed significant spatial difference characteristics( P<0.05); thirdly, rapid development of the three major industries, promotion of urbanization process and growth of urban population were important causes for bad air quality of 31 provincial capitals of China. Abstract: This study proposes a real-time electro-myogram (EMG) pattern recognition approach for the control of multifunction myoelectric hands. In techniques, time and frequency information is extracted by wavelet packet transform (WPT) and the node energy of the WPT coefficients is selected as the feature of the EMG signals. Then a novel feature selection method based on a depth recursive search algorithm is developed so that the high-dimensional features can be reduced by a supervised feature reduction algorithm. Consequently, the support vector machine (SVM) is adopted to give the recognition result. In the experiment, a real-time EMG pattern recognition system is developed to control a virtual hand with EMG signals from antebrachium. Current tillage practices in the important winter wheat–summer maize double cropping system of the North China Plain are under debate because of negative effects on soil quality and crop yield. Therefore, a long-term experiment was conducted from 2001 to 2018 to determine the effects of soil conservation practices on crop yield and soil quality. The treatments were imposed following maize harvest and prior wheat seeding, and were defined as follows: (1) moldboard ploughing (0–20 cm) following maize straw removal (CK); (2) moldboard ploughing (0–20 cm) following maize straw return (CT); (3) rotary tillage following maize straw return (RT); and (4) no tillage with maize straw covering the soil surface (NT). Wheat straw was chopped and spread on the soil in all treatments and maize seeded without prior tillage. Wheat yields were higher in CT than RT and NT treatments (p < 0.05); NT had 18% lower wheat yields than CT. No significant differences were found between treatments in summer maize yields. The soil organic carbon (SOC) content in the surface layer (0–5 cm) was higher in NT and RT compared to CT and CK. However, SOC content in the 10–20 cm and 20–30 cm layers was lower in NT and RT compared to CT and CK. Similarly, available phosphorus in the surface soil was higher in NT and RT than in CT and CK. but the opposite was true for the lower soil layers. SOC stocks (0–30 cm) increased in all treatments, and were initially faster in NT and RT than in CT and CK. However, SOC stocks were higher in CT than in other treatments at the end of the experiment. This finding indicates that no tillage and reduced tillage decreased both wheat yields and soil C sequestration over time; it also indicates that CT was the most robust in terms of crop yields and soil C sequestration. Lanthanide-functionalized porous organic materials have been the promising candidates in the chemical and biological sensing. Considering the superior thermal and solvent stability of covalent organic frameworks (COFs), the development of lanthanide ions-functionalized COFs based sensing platform is meaningful, while remains to be a challenge. In this work, a new imine-linked COF which provides suitable coordination sites for Tb3+ was constructed via the Schiff base reaction between P-phenylenediamine (Pda) and 2,6-Diformylpyridine (Dfp). Benefiting from its high signal-to-noise, the COF@Tb shows excellent ability to determinate ciprofloxacin (CIP) with a detection limit of 3.01 nM. The measurement can maintain good stability in the presence of potential interference or in actual sample. Being washed with ethanol after each measurement, COF@Tb can be recycled for five times. This work provides a novel alternative strategy for efficient construction of lanthanide-grafted COFs and may promote the development of porous organic materials based chemical sensing. • Little to no study on impacts of floating photovoltaic panels on reservoir surfaces. • An experimental study was conducted to collect field data. • A numerical model was developed to model radiation and energy dynamics. • Reversals in the major heat flux components observed. • Water surface energy balance occurs at a higher equilibrium temperature. Shortwave radiation, longwave radiation, photovoltaic (PV) panel, air and near-surface water temperature data were measured for a floating PV system installed in a shallow tropical reservoir. Similar air and water temperature measurements were conducted in open water (ambient condition) for comparison. The data indicate that shortwave radiation is reduced significantly under the PV panels while the longwave radiation increased, and in fact became higher than the shortwave radiation as compared to open water conditions. The air temperature and the water temperature under the PV panels are higher than in open water. A numerical model was developed to predict the PV panel temperature, air and water temperatures beneath the panels and to investigate the heat balance at the reservoir surface, beneath the panels. The modelled air and PV panel temperatures were in good agreement with the field data. The modelled surface water temperature also replicated field measurements showing an increase of about 0.5 °C as compared to the open water temperature. Heat budget analysis showed that the thermal dynamics under the PV panels is mainly controlled by the longwave radiation from the PV panels and reduction in latent heat flux. Metric learning has been widely studied in machine learning due to its capability to improve the performance of various algorithms. Meanwhile, multi-task learning usually leads to better performance by exploiting the shared information across all tasks. In this paper, we propose a novel framework to make metric learning benefit from jointly training all tasks. Based on the assumption that discriminative information is retained in a common subspace for all tasks, our framework can be readily used to extend many current metric learning methods. In particular, we apply our framework on the widely used Large Margin Component Analysis (LMCA) and yield a new model called multi-task LMCA. It performs remarkably well compared to many competitive methods. Besides, this method is able to learn a low-rank metric directly, which effects as feature reduction and enables noise compression and low storage. Abstract: A novel organic–inorganic hybrid compound (C9H14N)2PbCl4 was grown via a solution-cooling process by employing the organic cation-2,4,6-trimethylaniline to control the hybrid compound and the structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction to be monoclinic, P2(1)/c with a =24.350(0)Å, b =25.167(0)Å, c =7.694(0)Å, β =95.77(9)°, and Z =8. The compound adopted an unprecedented structure, which was built with the staircase-like 1-D chains of PbCl4 octahedra sandwiched with the square pyramids of PbCl5. Antibiotics have made great contributions to the improvement of human health and life quality. However, the current abuse of antibiotics not only has a serious impact on the environment, but also endangers people's health. For this reason, the simultaneous identification and accurate determination of as many antibiotics in the environment, food and organisms as possible is critical. Herein, a ratiometric fluorescent sensor array based on Eu3+ and Tb3+ co-doped metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) was fabricated. Benefiting from the sensitization of the organic ligands to Eu3+ and Tb3+, the reaction of MOFs with various antibiotics resulted in different responses to the ratio of fluorescent intensity at 545 nm and 616 nm (F 545 /F 616). After these responses were differentiated by principal component analysis (PCA), totally eight kinds of 25 antibiotics were well distinguished with the existence of interfering substances. The proposed sensor array exhibited high accuracy (98%) for the identification of 48 unknown samples in water and outstanding quantitative ability for the mixture of antibiotics. Finally, the practicability of the sensor array for the analysis of real samples was proved. In this strategy, we have not only provided an efficient way for the comprehensive identification and determination of antibiotics, but also promised new opportunities for the development of ratiometric signal based sensor array. Large amounts of organic carbon (OC) and inorganic carbon (IC) are stored in coastal sediments. These carbon compounds play an important role in coping with global climate change. In this study, the surface sediments of four tidal flat sections in northern Jiangsu were analysed for their OC and IC contents, as well as changes in the physical and chemical properties of the sediments (particle size, pH, salinity (SAL), and N, P, and S contents). A partial least squares regression (PLSR) was conducted to explore the factors affecting OC and IC variations. According to the results, the OC and IC contents exhibited increasing trends when moving from the seaward to landward parts of the sections. The OC variations were large and IC variations were small in all four sections and the vegetation coverage contributes to the carbon content of tidal flat sediments. The PLSR analysis indicates that the main factors influencing OC and IC contents in the tidal flat system were particle size (sand, silt, and clay) and N content, while SAL had the least influence on OC and IC contents. The IC and OC contents are positively coupled, which may indicate that the nearshore vegetation has a greater contribution to OC, affects the coastal hydrodynamic conditions, and enhances the retention of IC. It is a challenge to improve the adsorption performance and service life of graphene oxide (GO) composite by introducing a macromolecular to manipulate the interlayer of GO to form a good water-endurable by intercalation. By virtue of high reactivity of amino group in the cross-linked network formed by poly(acrylamide) (pAM) and N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA), the layer space of GO was manipulated to acquire more efficient uranium adsorption of GO. Furthermore, the amino group can also increase coordinative binding interactions via providing a secondary coordination sphere, which adjusts the electron density of composites to lower the overall charge on U(VI) and provides an additional point allowing hydrogen bond to align U(VI) in a satisfactory coordination style. Herein, a high adsorption capacity and water-endurable of GO-pAM-MBA was constructed by interface manipulation on GO surface. The U-uptake capacity of GO-pAM-MBA was 984.2 mg g−1 (4.14 mmol g−1) in aqueous solutions, which was 1.6 times than that of pristine GO under same environment. The resultant adsorbent achieved a high adsorption amount of 5.42 mg g−1 in real uranium mine wastewater. Furthermore, GO-pAM-MBA displayed good water-endurable even after six cycles. Conductive hydrogels are gaining significant attention as promising candidates for the fabrication materials for flexible electronics. Nevertheless, improving the tensile properties, hysteresis, durability, adhesion, and electrochemical properties of these hydrogels remains challenging. This work reports the development of a novel semi‐interpenetrating network poly(ionic liquid) hydrogel named PATV, via the in situ polymerization of acrylamide, N‐[Tris(hydroxymethyl)methyl] acrylamide, and 1‐vinyl‐3‐butylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate. The density functional theory calculations reveal that the poly(ionic liquid) in the hydrogel network acts as physical cross–linking points to construct hydrogen‐bond networks. Furthermore, the hydrogen‐bond networks dissipate energy efficiently and quickly, and thus stress concentration and hysteresis are avoided. The prepared hydrogel has a low hysteresis (9%), high tensile properties (900%), fast response (180 ms), high sensitivity (gauge factor = 10.4, pressure sensitivity = 0.14 kPa−1), and wide sensing range (tensile range: 1–600%, compression range: 0.1–20 kPa). A multifunctional sensor designed based on the designed hydrogel enables real‐time, rapid, and stable response‐ability for the detection of human movement, facial expression recognition, pronunciation, pulse, handwriting, and Morse code encryption. Furthermore, the assembled triboelectric nanogenerator displays an excellent energy harvesting capability, thus highlighting its potential application in self‐powered flexible wearable electronic devices. Abstract: We have successfully loaded C60 into a PPV precursor using CS2 and ethanol as mixed solvents and fabricated uniform PPV/C60 composite nanofibers by electrospinning for the first time. C60 was homogeneously distributed in nanofibers. The PL spectra analysis confirmed the formation of a composite and revealed the obvious fluorescent quenching comparing with pure PPV nanofibers. Countable electrospun composite nanofibers on a Au interdigitated electrode showed a fast and highly optoelectric response under 100mW/cm2 light irradiation by a Xe lamp. The results showed that photo induced charge transfer took place at the interface of PPV and C60 and suggested the great potential in the field of micro/nano organic optoelectric devices, especially in micro/nano organic photoswitches. • The near-field radiative thermal rectifier composed of n -type doped silicon, vanadium dioxide, and graphene is comprehensively investigated. • The performance of the near-field radiative thermal rectifier can be significantly affected by the doping concentrations and chemical potential values. • The interaction among the surface modes of emitter and receiver modified by graphene and hyperbolic modes of insulating vanadium dioxide is responsible for significantly improving the performance. • The total thermal rectification factor of the near-field radiative thermal rectifier can be improved to 7.79 by this interaction. We investigate near-field radiative thermal rectifiers (NFRTRs) comprising an asymmetric nanostructure with and without graphene coatings. The asymmetric nanostructure consists of n -type doped silicon (D-Si) and vanadium dioxide (VO 2) plates separated by a vacuum gap. On the basis of the stochastic Maxwell equations and fluctuation-dissipation theorem, we analyse the effect of graphene on the near-field radiative heat transfer (NFRHT) and the performance of the NFRTR. We find that the total thermal rectification factor (TTRF) of an NFRTR composed of n -type D-Si and VO 2 plates can be significantly enhanced by the presence of graphene, depending on the doping concentration of Si, the chemical potential value of the graphene, and the vacuum gap. When both n -type D-Si and VO 2 plates are covered by a layer of graphene, the TTRF of the NFRTR whose n -type D-Si and VO 2 plates are separated by a 10 nm vacuum gap improves from 4.38 to 7.79 for a doping concentration of 1019 cm−3 and a chemical potential of 0.25 eV. We attribute this to the strong interaction among the p- polarized surface modes of graphene-covered n -type D-Si with the doping concentration of 1019 cm−3, p- polarized surface modes of graphene-covered insulating VO 2 , and p- polarized hyperbolic modes (HMs) of insulating VO 2. Electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbing materials have an important application in people's living environment. EMW absorption properties are affected by the morphology of EMW absorbing materials. MoS 2 is two-dimensional layered structure and complex shaped structures can be formed by different stacking between layers. Here, we prepared flower-shaped MoS 2 nanoparticles and flake-shaped MoS 2 nanoparticles by hydrothermal method, and investigated the EMW absorption performance of both samples. Flower-shaped MoS 2 nanoparticles had a larger specific surface area than that of flake-shaped MoS 2 nanoparticles, so that the flower-shaped MoS 2 nanoparticles had a superior EMW absorption performance. It was found that the samples consisting of 30 wt% flower-shaped MoS 2 nanoparticles in the wax matrix based composites exhibited an effective EMW absorption bandwidth of 7.6 GHz (10.32–17.92 GHz) with the thickness of 3.0 mm. The minimum RL value of −39.20 dB was observed at 17.60 GHz for the sample with a thickness of 2.4 mm. Lymphoma-associated venous thromboembolism (VTE) can be a serious complication in lymphoma patients. We designed a nomogram as a guide to estimate the VTE risk in lymphoma patients. We retrospectively analyzed 555 Chinese lymphoma patients who were newly diagnosed at West China Hospital. The nomogram was generated based on multivariate regression coefficients. The multivariate analysis indicated that advanced clinical stage (p <.001*), Hodgkin lymphoma (p =.045*), and prechemotherapy Hb level <115 g/L (p =.01*) were independent risk factors for VTE in lymphoma patients. A calibration plot and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve were used to validate the novel nomogram. The nomogram displayed a good C-index (0.73), and the calibration plot showed excellent agreement between the predicted and actual probabilities. The AUROC of the nomogram was 0.731, demonstrating a strong discriminatory ability. Notably, the predictive value of the nomogram was better than the Khorana risk score. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The harm of electromagnetic waves on human daily life has gradually received attention, and electromagnetic waves absorption materials have been used to address this issue. MXene, as a new type of 2D material, is a very promising electromagnetic wave absorption material. In this study, NiS nanoparticles were grown on the surface of S terminated Ti 3 C 2 T x , and –S group acted as sulfur sources to construct Ti-S-Ni covalent interface directly in NiS/Ti 3 C 2 T x composites. To further regulate the interface structure and electromagnetic properties, -P and -NH 2 groups were also introduced onto the surface of MXene to achieve the N, P co-doping NiS/Ti 3 C 2 T x composites with covalent interface. By investigating the electromagnetic wave absorption performance of the composites, it was found that N and P doping could effectively enhance the electron transfer rate at the interface and optimize the conduction loss, resulting in a significant improvement in performance. The minimum reflection loss was −50.6 dB at a frequency of 15.6 GHz, and the matching thickness was only 1.14 mm with an effective absorption bandwidth of 3.6 GHz.
