A novel route for synthesis of MoS2/TiO2/hollow microfibers (HMFs) ternary composite photocatalyst using sol-gel method combined with high temperature calcination under a nitrogen circumstances was reported for the first time. The morphology, structure and optical properties of the novel MoS2/TiO2/HMFs photocatalysts were fully characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), specific surface area (BET) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG). The photocatalytic activities were evaluated by photodegradating Methylene blue (MB) and Rhodamine B (RB) under visible light irradiation. The results showed the MoS2/TiO2/HMFs ternary composite hollow microfibre photocatalysts had a purification of more than 98.7% for MB and RB of simulating wastewater, and acquired the superior synergistic effect of adsorption and catalysis for organic pollutants. That's because the sensitization of MoS2 enlarged the wavelength response range to the visible region of the solar spectrum, the HMFs could beneficially increase adsorption capability for organic pollutants, and the mixed crystalline phase of TiO2 accelerated the decomposition of organic pollutant. A detailed study of involved active species unraveled the mechanism regarding photocatalysis. So, the synergistic photocatalytic effect of HMFs, TiO2 and MoS2 was very important and significant for wastewater treatment or prevention of air pollution.

Organizations deploy security information and event management (SIEM) systems for centralized management of security events. The real-time security monitoring capability of the SIEM depends on the correlation process where events data are matched against the security rules. Most SIEM systems use general purpose languages to define security rules. Creating new rules in general purpose languages require excellent programming skills in the proprietary language and intimate knowledge of events. This paper introduces a high-level domain-specific language (HDSL) which simplifies rule creation for the SIEM system. We formally specify the HDSL with extended Backus–Naur form grammar in another tool for language recognition according to the model driven engineering approach. In our implementation framework, the rules defined in the HDSL are converted in the standard event processing language. For evaluation purpose, the converted security rules are tested on the service real-time data security analytics. The results indicate that the rules are converted accurately and generate alarms when specific attacks are detected. For checking correctness of the HDSL, formal verification is carried out using satisfiability modulo theory and Z3 solver. The results are evaluated under diverse attack scenarios, which reveal that HDSL is functioning correctly. The HDSL enhances the SIEM correlation capabilities by providing a tranquil approach for writing the correlation rules.

In recent years, CMOS-based conventional memory technologies including SRAM, DRAM, and Flash memories have become system performance bottleneck due to the speed gap between memory and logic, where they consume a large portion of power within systems, and not only that, they will soon face technology and economic issues as CMOS scaling approaches the fundamental limit. Emerging Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) technologies such as Magnetic RAM (MRAM) and Resistive RAM (RRAM) are recognized as promising candidatures for next-generation memory systems owing to several appealing properties: non-volatile, high density and scalability, fast speed, universal adaptability and multiple-bit capacity. In addition to be memory storage, NVM also offers many unique applications based on its physical properties. In this dissertation, the author has reviewed two typical NVM technologies, including MRAM and RRAM, and their related applications. The MRAM is thereby selected as a case study to explore security application, i.e., Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) circuit design. A modified MRAM model is established by Verilog-A and the MRAM model, which includes statistical distribution of physical parameters for Monte Carlo simulation that models the process variation of Magnetic Tunnel Junction (MTJ) in MRAM. By utilizing the mismatch variation of MTJ device for Internet of Things (IoT) hardware security application, a MRAM based PUF has been designed. Statistical data are generated using the Cadence Measurement Description Language (MDL) with Spectre simulator to perform mixedlanguage Monte Carlo simulation. A dual-mode MRAM architecture, including MRAM arrays and sense amplifier (SA), has also been studied and explored to implement functions of both memory and PUF. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are deregulated in many types of cancer including breast cancer (BC). miR-320a dysregulation has been associated with different malignancies although its prognostic significance remains unclear. Here, we examined the role of miR-320a in BC and explored the underlying mechanisms. Our results showed that miR-320a was significantly downregulated in BC cell lines and tissues, and its ectopic expression inhibited cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in vitro and tumor growth in a mouse xenograft model. We identified Rab11a as a direct target of miR-320a and showed that its expression was upregulated in tumor samples and inversely correlated with the expression of miR-320a. In BC cells, the downregulation of Rab11a through miR-320a was concomitant with the inactivation of Akt. Overexpression of Rab11a abrogated miR-320a-induced inhibition of BC growth and invasion. These results suggest that miR-320a may act as a tumor suppressor in BC through a mechanism involving the modulation of Rab11a expression and the activation of the Akt signaling pathway. miR-320a may therefore serve as a biomarker for BC, and the modulation of its expression may represent a novel therapeutic strategy in BC treatment.

As the price of carbon credit gradually reflects the economic value caused by the scarcity of atmospheric environmental capacity, the cost structure in manufacturing enterprises’ products will be changed greatly. As an indispensable element of components, carbon credit will become an important cost component of production similar to traditional items as material & labor cost, etc. Therefore, manufacturing enterprises should reasonably set up its environmental management and cost accounting departments and coordinate the work among related departments; design the information carriers, accounting procedures and analysis indexes for carbon credit cost; strengthen the internal control of its accounting and to set up its accountability center.
