Modernity is not only the basic theoretical horizon of Chinese and Western Marxism, but also their theoretical object. The understanding of modernity has resulted in the respective characteristic Chinese and Western Marxist theories of modernity. These two schools share three epistemological aspects in common: Marxist intellectual origins; the same analytical framework for understanding modernity; and the same understanding of the basic characteristics of modernity. However, they differ greatly from each other in terms of their social backgrounds, basic attitudes towards modernity, and roles in reality. Their common features reveal similarities between all nation-states in world history and the universality of Marxism under specific historical conditions. Their differences reflect the particularities of Chinese and Western paths to modernization, and the diversity of Marxism in the present era. These two Marxist theories of modernity are destined to come into dialogue and be fused into a new Marxist theory of modernity for the 21st century.

The notable increase in retraction papers has attracted considerable attention from diverse stakeholders. Various sources are now offering information related to research integrity, including concerns voiced on social media, disclosed lists of paper mills, and retraction notices accessible through journal websites. However, despite the availability of such resources, there remains a lack of a unified platform to consolidate this information, thereby hindering efficient searching and cross-referencing. Thus, it is imperative to develop a comprehensive platform for retracted papers and related concerns. This article aims to introduce “Amend,” a platform designed to integrate information on research integrity from diverse sources.

Using the method of ultrasonic dispersion and the mechanical ball grinding the graphene mixing in titanium aluminum substrate, pressed by cold pressing molding and vacuum hot-pressing sintering technology of titanium aluminium alloy self-lubricating composites reinforced preparation of graphene. Using scanning electron microscopy（SEM）and transmission electron microscopy（TEM） and energy spectrum analysis（EDS）on microstructure and mechanical properties of the self-lubricating composites were studied. The results showed that graphene in the uniform distribution of titanium alloy substrate and graphene not interface reaction of titanium aluminium alloy, composite material density is better. When the amount of graphene is 0.3 wt%,self-lubricating composite material yield strength increase from 469 MPa to 555 MPa. The hardness of the self-lubricating composite was 11% higher than that of matrix, up to 468 HV; with the increase of the content of graphene composite material hardness and yield strength increases gradually, while graphene content is 0.7 wt %, reached the maximum hardness and yield strength of the composite material.

In this contribution, we want to detect the document type profiles of the three prestigious journals Nature, Science, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States (PNAS) with regard to two levels: journal and country.

The microstructure of TiAl3 composites with addition of different weight contents of solid lubricant (LiF, NaF, CaF2, and 38% CaF2-62% BaF2) were observed by scanning electron microscopy. Hardness, bend strength, and fracture toughness tests were carried out on an electron omnipotence testing machine. The friction and wear tests were performed using a high-temperature pin-on-disc tribometer at different friction conditions such as different loads, different sliding speeds, and different working temperatures. The results show that TiAl3 composites with 38% CaF2-62% BaF2 solid lubricant exhibit higher bending strength and fracture toughness than composites with other solid lubricants. In addition, the wear rate of TiAl3 composites with 38% CaF2-62% BaF2 solid lubricant is lowest in all composites. It is attributed to 38% CaF2-62% BaF2 solid lubricant forming a compact film on the wear surface of TiAl3 composites. The compact-film-forming mechanism is attributed to fluoride particles forced out of the reservoirs due to its high thermal expansion coefficient.

Abstract Background Recent evidence from rodent ovaries has demonstrated expression of fractalkine and the existence of fractalkine receptor, and showed that there is a significant increase in steroidogenesis in response to fractalkine, yet the role of fractalkine and CX3CR1 in the human ovary is still unknown. This study aimed to determine the expression levels of fractalkine and CX3CR1 in the human ovary and to investigate their roles in sexual hormone biosynthesis by human luteinising granulosa cells. This is the first detailed report of fractalkine and CX3CR1 expression and function in the human ovary. Methods Fractalkine and CX3CR1 expression levels were measured by immunohistochemistry using ovarian tissue from pathological specimens from five individuals. Granulosa cells were obtained from patients during IVF treatment. They were cultured and treated with increasing doses of hCG with or without fractalkine. Media were collected to detect estradiol and progesterone by chemiluminescence. StAR, 3-βHSD and CYP11A expression were determined in granulosa cells treated with or without fractalkine by real-time RT-PCR. Results Fractalkine and CX3CR1 were expressed in the human ovary and in luteinising granulosa cells. However, fractalkine expression was stronger in luteinising granulosa cells. Treatment with fractalkine augmented hCG stimulation of progesterone production in a dose-dependent manner with concomitant increases in transcript levels for key steroidogenic enzymes (StAR, 3-βHSD and CYP11A) but had no effect on estradiol biosynthesis(P < 0.05). Conclusions Fractalkine and CX3CR1 were found to express in human ovary and luteinising granulosa cells. Fractalkine can increase the biosynthesis of progesterone in a dose-dependent manner by enhancing transcript levels of key steroidogenic enzymes.
