This study aimed to estimate the incidence rate and clinical characteristics of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the Chinese population, specially comparing the North and South regions.

AIM: To observe the distribution of cone in the macular of healthy adult in different ages using adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscope(AO-SLO)system, and analyze its relationship with age.METHODS: A total of 100 healthy examinees(200 eyes)in our hospital from June to July 2023 were selected, and they were divided into four groups according to their age, with 25 cases(50 eyes)in each group, including 18-30 years in group A, 31-40 years in group B, 41-50 years in group C, 51-65 years in group D. AO-SLO was performed in both eyes and cone density was measured.RESULTS: The density of cone in the foveal eccentricity of 3° and 2.4°×2.4° in each group was different(Pnasal>inferior>superior sides from high to low. The mean cone density in the macular area of both eyes was 14 144.38±1 082.40, 13 241.24±535.32, 12 930.29±727.73, and 10 907.50±490.86 cell/mm2, respectively(P

Echovirus 11 (E11) has gained attention owing to its association with severe neonatal infections. From 2018 to 2023, a surge in severe neonatal cases and fatalities linked to a novel variant of genotype D5 was documented in China, France, and Italy. However, the prevention and control of E11 variants have been hampered by limited background data on the virus circulation and genetic variance. Therefore, the present study investigated the circulating dynamics of E11 and the genetic variation and molecular evolution of genotype D5 through the collection of strains from the national acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) and hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) surveillance system in China during 2000–2022 and genetic sequences published in the GenBank database. The results of this study revealed a prevalent dynamic of E11 circulation, with D5 being the predominant genotype worldwide. Further phylogenetic analysis of genotype D5 indicated that it could be subdivided into three important geographic clusters (D5-CHN1: 2014–2019, D5-CHN2: 2016–2022, and D5-EUR: 2022–2023). Additionally, variant-specific (144) amino acid mutation sites and positive-selection pressure sites (132, 262) were identified in the VP1 region. Cluster-specific recombination patterns were also identified, with CVB5, E6, and CVB4 as the major recombinant viruses. These findings provide a preliminary landscape of E11 circulation worldwide and basic scientific data for further study of the pathogenicity of E11 variants.

The set of guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid nodules and differentiated thyroid cancer (the second edition) was published in 2023 in China. Based on the first (2012) edition, the current set was revised jointly by nearly 100 experts in endocrinology, thyroid surgery, oncology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound medicine, and pathology from seven national societies for one year. The new version of the guideline is still divided into two parts, namely, thyroid nodules and differentiated thyroid cancer. The writing mode of asking clinical questions, explaining and giving recommendations is adopted, and a total of 117 recommendations are provided. This article aims to compare the variations in the differentiation of benign and malignant thyroid nodules and surgical treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer between the new and old versions from the perspective of surgery. The author's own understanding and experiences are also discussed.

Oculomotor nerve palsy is a nerve condition that affects patient’s vision and quality of life. This article summarizes the nursing experience of a patient with mild oculomotor nerve paralysis treated with plum-blossom needle tapping therapy. Based on the differentiation of symptoms and signs in Traditional Chinese Medicine, plum-blossom needle technique therapy, as well as daily life support, dietary care, medication, and emotional nursing interventions, can effectively improve symptoms such as ptosis, strabismus, and limited eye movement in the patient. One-pot synthesis of polymerized methyl imidazole silver bromide (CH3C6H5AgBr)6 Compound 1 was carried out by the reaction of methylimidazole, 1,2-dibromoethane, and Ag2O in tetrahydrofuran at 60°C for 2 h. Compound 1 was characterized by elemental analysis, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal cell parameters of Compound 1 are as follows: a = 8.916(4) Å, b = 17.655(9) Å, c = 9.024(4) Å, α = 90°, β = 103.621(7)°, γ = 90°, V = 1380.6(12) Å3, and Z = 4. The silver atoms in Compound 1 are pentacoordinated with three bromine atoms, one silver atom, and one nitrogen atom of methyl imidazole, and polymeric methyl imidazole silver bromide was formed based on this structure. The catalytic effects under optimized conditions were investigated in this study, and the results showed that Compound 1 possesses a strong catalytic effect on the oxidation of 2-methylnaphthalene with a conversion rate of 77.15% by using hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant at 80°C for 3 h. The catalytic mechanism was explored simultaneously.

Objective To explore the expression and function of DEP domain containing 1 (DEPDC1) in uterine corpus endometrial cancer(UCEC). Methods The Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) databases were used to analyze the expression of DEPDC1 mRNA in normal endometrial tissues and UCEC tissues, the relationship with patient clinicopathological parameters and prognosis. Immuno-histochemistry (IHC), Western blot and RT-qPCR were used to detect the expression of DEPDC1 in UCEC cell lines and tissue. The CCK-8 assay, colony formation assay, and tumor xenograft were used to investigate the effect of DEPDC1 on cancer proliferation. Results DEPDC1 mRNA was up-regulated in UCEC (P＜0.001) and was correlated with the clinical stages (P＜0.001), tissue differentiation (P＜0.05) and histological type(P＜0.001) of UCEC. Compared with the DEPDC1 mRNA low expression patients, the patients with high expression of DEPDC1 showed lower disease-specific survival(DSS) and progress-free interval (PFI) (P＜0.01). The IHC, Western blot, and RT-qPCR showed that DEPDC1 was up-regulated both in UCEC tissue and cell lines. Down regulation of DEPDC1 inhibited the colony formation, invasion and tumor sphere formation, cell proliferation rate, and tumourigenesis in vivo. Conclusions DEPDC1 is up-regulated in UCEC that is correlated with the malignant progression and poor prognosis of UCEC.

This study was undertaken in order to improve the stability, water solubility and gastrointestinal release of phytosterols (PS). Zein-PS nanoparticles were prepared by the anti-solvent method. Single factor experiments and orthogonal array design methods were adopted to optimize the preparation conditions based on the stability and encapsulation efficiency of zein-PS nanoparticles. The structure and functional properties of the prepared samples were characterized by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and simulated gastrointestinal digestion. The results showed that the optimal preparation conditions were determined as follows: zein/PS ratio of 15:1 (m/m), hydration time of 2 h, hydration temperature of 55 ℃, and ultrasonic treatment time of 20 min. The encapsulation efficiency of the nanoparticles prepared using the optimal conditions was 84.97%, particle size (479.76 ± 0.38) nm, and zeta potential (−22.79 ± 0.015) mV, suggesting small particle size and high stability. The nanoparticles with a zein/PS ratio of 15:1 had better re-solubility and water solubility. SEM revealed the formation of a compact network structure on the surface of the nanoparticles and FTIR spectra showed that it changed at 3 313.16 and 1 523.51 cm-1, indicating the presence of hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interaction between zein and PS. Compared with PS, the release rates of the nanoparticles in simulated gastrointestinal fluids were reduced by 49.03% and 28.11%, respectively, showing a good sustained-release effect. In addition, after storage for 30 days, the change in the particle size of the nanoparticles was smaller at 4 ℃ than at 25 ℃, and the encapsulation efficiency remained above 70%. Therefore, zein-PS composite nanoparticles have good stability and sustained release property, which has potential application prospects in the food industry.

The moral education of college soccer Civics is integrated into the educational concept of physical education from the perspective of moral education. In order to promote the deep integration of multimedia and curriculum Civics teaching, this paper proposes a new hash algorithm framework from the perspective of the approximation relationship and local linear structure. The local linear structure of the original data space is found utilizing sparse coding, multimedia is used to promote the effective penetration of curriculum Civics in various subject courses, and multimedia technology is applied to the teaching practice of the experimental group of college soccer courses. The results show that 69.57% of students who often watch soccer matches, 60.87% of students who often browse the content of public platforms are interested in soccer, 82.61% of students use media tools to communicate with others, while only 12.48% of students are interested in learning soccer by using traditional means of teaching. This shows that multimedia teaching tools in college courses are better than traditional ones. The practical path of infiltrating the Civics element into teaching fully plays the role of modern information technology.

In order to prolong the shelf life of milk fan, casein-chitosan edible films incorporated with antimicrobial peptide BCp12 were prepared. One-factor-at-a-time method combined with orthogonal array design was used to determine the optimum preparation process based on elongation at break and tensile strength. The antimicrobial activity of the composite film was evaluated, and its formation mechanism was explored by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and molecular docking. Finally, the composite film was applied to the preservation of milk fan. The results showed that the optimum preparation conditions were casein/chitosan mass ratio 1:1.5, BCp12 concentration 1 mg/mL, glycerin concentration 1.5% (m/m), and drying temperature 55 ℃. SEM showed good compatibility of the composite film and FT-IR analysis revealed that the film exhibited an absorption peak at 1 545.67 cm–1 attributed to the stretching vibration of C–O. Molecular docking showed that the hydrogen bond interaction between BCp12 and casein and chitosan occurred through the active sites of residues Y4 and –NH2. Compared with the control group, the change of peroxide value of milk fan treated with the antimicrobial film was slower and the shelf life was prolonged by 60 days during storage at 4 ℃, indicating the film could inhibit the growth of spoilage bacteria. The results of this study provide a technical reference for the development and application of chitosan-casein composite films incorporated with BCp12.

This paper reviewed the nursing measures based on the idea of "heterozygous treatment" for a patient in the face-down position after vitrectomy. A comprehensive treatment with various methods, including psychological care, position management, complication prevention and Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing techniques, were carried out to improve the postoperative rehabilitation and quality of life of the patient. The major problems of TiO_2 photocatalyst are easy aggregation and deactivation, and obvious difficulty in separation. In order to overcome some of the drawbacks of TiO_2 photocatalyst in suspension, zeolite(NaY) molecular sieves were used to support TiO_2. The preparation conditions of TiO_2/NaY composite photocatalyst were optimized in this research. Moreover, the effect of NaY on crystal type, phase transition temperature and photocatalytic properties was investigated, and the influence of TiO_2/NaY on the degradation of organic waste water was analyzed. The results indicate that the TiO_2/NaY composite photocatalyst exhibits the optimal photocatalytic activity under the conditions of TiO_2 loading of 35%, sintering temperature of 500 °C, roasting time of 2 h and catalyst dosage of 0.08 g(methylene blue solution of 100 mL). When methylene blue solution of an initial concentration of 20 mg/L was treated for 0.5 h with TiO_2/NaY composite photocatalyst, the photocatalytic degradation rate was 95.42%, 22.3% higher than that of TiO_2. High stability, high ultraviolet light transmission and regular microporous and cage structure of NaY is conducive to not only recycle of TiO_2 but also improvement of photocatalytic activity of TiO_2.

The tree height and crown diameter are important measurement attributes in forest resource survey and management. Hence, we propose a passive measurement method of tree height and crown diameter based on monocular camera of a smartphone. First, we use an feature-adaptive Mean-Shift algorithm to segment the image and extract tree's contour. Furthermore, an adaptive feature coordinate system is established to help study the conversion relationship of the coordinate systems. It has been proved that for the image points with the same abscissa pixels, their ordinate pixels have a linear relationship with its actual imaging angles. A depth extraction model is built according to this principle. Then, we obtain the rotation and translation matrix and established tree height and crown diameter models according to the mapping transformation relationship of coordinates. Experimental results reveal significant correlation between calculated and truth values. The RMSE is 0.267 m (rRMS=2.482%) for tree height and 0.209 m (rRMS=5.631%) for crown diameter. The relative errors of tree heights are less than 5.76% (MRE=2.159%); for crown diameter, the relative errors are less than 9.73% (MRE=4.95%). Overall, the accuracy of this method falls within the requirements of the continuous inventory of Chinese national forest resources.

This paper summarized the nursing experience of external treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in treating chalazion in children, including routine care, ear-tip bloodletting, Chinese herbal medicine hot compress, etc. The TCM external treatment, characterized by easy–to-use, obvious efficacy and high patient acceptance, is effect to relieve the inflammatory response caused by chalazion. Pancreatic cancer is a kind of malignant tumor with high mortality rate. Early operation and late chemoradiotherapy are the treatment criteria, but the prognosis is still poor. Berberine, an alkaloid compound present in many herbal plants, is capable of inducing oxidative DNA damage and downregulating homologous recombination repair (HRR) in cancer cells. Poly (ADP ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) is a sensor of DNA damage with key roles in DNA repair. In this study, we demonstrated that berberine and PARP inhibitor olaparib have a synthetic lethal effect on pancreatic cancer cells. The expression level of RAD51 were reduced by berberine. Correspondingly, PARP became hyperactivated in response to berberine treatment. When berberine is combined with olaparib, the expression of Rad51 and Parp are inhibited. The combination of berberine and olaparib synergistically inhibit cell activity and induce cell apoptosis. In addition, the synergistic effect of berberine and olaparib can be reversed by apoptosis inhibitor and necrosis inhibitor. Together, the results indicate that berberine combined with olaparib have a synthetic lethal effect on pancreatic cancer cells.

This paper empirically examines the moderating effect of executive team heterogeneity on the influence of equity incentive on overinvestment behavior by using the data of Chinese A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2014 to 2018. The results show that equity incentive can restrain the overinvestment behavior of enterprises; The greater the age heterogeneity of the senior management team, the weaker the influence of equity incentive on overinvestment will be; The greater the gender heterogeneity of the senior management team, the greater the influence of equity incentive on the overinvestment of enterprises will be. The heterogeneity of executive team education and tenure has no effect on the relationship between equity incentive and overinvestment. The conclusion of this study has some enlightenment on how to construct and optimize the senior management team of listed companies, so that the senior management team can play its role fully and make reasonable and effective investment decisions.

Density functional theory (DFT) calculations for the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) has attracted much more attention than ever before, since the mechanism of methanol dehydrogenation is very important in direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). Herein, methanol adsorption on Pd(111) with different electric field intensity (0.000, 0.0010, 0.0025 and 0.0050 au) were studied with DFT calculations. The results showed that methanol may adsorb on the Pd(1 1 1) either through the methyl or the hydroxyl of methanol in the absence electric field, since the two adsorption configurations share the similar adsorption energy. However, along with the increase of the electric field intensity, the angles formed by C-O bond axis and Pd(1 1 1) became gradually smaller, and it is only 1.9° when the electric field intensity value is 0.0050 au for the methyl case; while it kept at 35±5° for the hydroxyl case. The methanol molecule was not activated in the reported electric field.
