Although the lung injury caused by cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) has been extensively investigated, the incidence and mortality of lung injury after CPB remain a prominent clinical problem. The poor outcome has been attributed to multifactorial etiology, including the systemic inflammatory response and ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury during CPB. Lung injury after CPB is a complex pathophysiological process and has many clinical manifestations of mild to severe disease. Which is associated with prognosis. To alleviate this lung injury, interventions that address the pathogenesis are particularly important. This review summarizes the pathogenesis, mechanism and treatment options of lung injury after CPB, such as lung protection with intralipid.

Transition metal-based nanomaterials exhibit promising potential as highly active and low-cost electrocatalyst for alkaline water splitting, which can be achieved via elaborating compositional modulation and structural manipulation. This, however, normally involves multiple or even complex synthetic procedures. Herein, we report a simple one-step sulfidation of FeMnZn multi–metal skeletons for the preparation of highly efficient electrocatalysts. The incorporation of Mn and Zn induced hierarchical nano/micro sheet–to–sheet supported on open porous skeleton (FeMnZn/Mn-FeS, FMZS2), which not only facilitates electron/ion transport but also expands the accessible surface. Meanwhile, the Mn is introduced to optimize the adsorption/desorption ability of intermediates on the S sites in FeS. The resultant effect leads to remarkable electrocatalytic performance with good durability. Notably, the optimized FMZS2 delivers a 20 mA cm–2 at low overpotential of 118 mV for HER and a 100 mA cm–2 at overpotential of 390 mV for OER, outperfoming Pt/C and IrO2 catalyst, respectively. Moreover, the assembled alkaline electrolyzer also has good overall water splitting capability, which is better than that of the noble metal ones.

A environment-friendly 3D inorganic heteropoly blue (HPB) Ba2Na2 [HPWV4WVI8O40]·26H2O was directly synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by means of ICP, IR, XPS, X-ray single crystal and X-ray powder diffraction. It was an efficient heterogeneous photo-Fenton-like catalyst to degrade anionic dye methyl orange under visible light irradiation. It removed cationic dyes methylene blue in neutral environment and rhodamine B in acidic condition via flocculation. The removal efficiency of methylene blue and rhodamine B by flocculation was more than 95%. Moreover, it could degrade methyl orange and flocculate rhodamine B at the same time. For MO and MO-RhB solutions, the degradation rates of MO in 60 min were 85.5% and 49.1%, respectively. Furthermore, the possible pathways for the production of active species in the MO degradation reaction were discussed. This is the first HPB constructed with 4e-reduced phosphotungstate, Ba and Na ions, having the properties of photo-Fenton-like catalyst and flocculant.

Based on the MODIS surface reflectance data, five vegetation indices, including norma-lized difference vegetation index (NDVI), simple ratio index (SR), Gitelson green index (GI), enhanced vegetation index (EVI) and soil adjusted vegetation index (SAVI) were constructed as remote sensing variables, coupled with the seven original spectral reflectance bands of MODIS. Stepwise regression and correlation analysis were used to select the variables, and the stepwise regression and Back Propagation (BP) neural network models were constructed based on the measured LAI to retrieve the LAI time series data of Phyllostachys praecox (Lei bamboo) forest during the period from January 2014 to March 2017. The retrieval results were compared with MOD15A2 LAI products during the same period. The results showed that SR was the single variable selected for the stepwise regression model. Two complexes, Cu4(im)4(C4O3H6)2(NO2)4(H2O)4 (1), [(phen)Cu(C2O4)(H2O)] · H2O (2) (im = imidazole, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), were synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, TG and single crystal X-ray diffraction. During the synthesis of compound 1, citric acid lost two of its carboxylato groups and was decomposed into 3-hydroxybutanoic acid, the ions were reduced to ions. In compound 1, a tetranuclear Cu(II) complex was built up of four Cu(II) ions connected by two 3-hydroxybutanoic anions. In the preparation of compound 2, tartaric acid was decomposed into oxalic acid. Compound 2 is constructed by one phen, one oxalic anion and one water molecule coordinated directly to Cu(II).

A new heteropolytungstate, [H 2 bpy] 3 [SiMnW 11 O 39 ]·1.25H 2 O ( 1 ), has been prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It is the first characterized compound containing 1D zigzag chain of transition metal substituted Keggin heteropolytungstate, which is connected through a common oxygen atom.
