The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has become an important hub for technological innovation and economic development in China. With the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technology talents, it is essential to develop educational cooperation within the GBA to develop a talent pool that can meet the changing needs in the region. This paper focuses on the development of dynamic demand for AI talents and proposes a strategic planning framework for educational cooperation in the GBA. We use the research idea of common attributes and key chain clustering-factor association selection-analysis of the driving force and subordination among factors-the key characteristics of AI talents. Using collinear analysis of citations and grounded theory methods, an operational definition of the influencing factors of AI talent literacy characteristics is constructed. Using the Interpretative Structural Modeling(ISM) and MICMAC (Matrice d’Impacts Croises-Multipication Applique A Classement), analyze and identify the driving force and subordination of the influencing factors of key traits of talents, and present the combined effect of multi-level factors of key traits of talents. Combined with the educational differences and complementary advantages in the GBA, five strategies and seven implementation suggestions for the GBA's AI talent education cooperation plan are formulated to establish a collaborative ecosystem that promotes the growth and integration of AI in the GBA.

Abstract Background Tourniquets provide better tissue visibility during arthroscopic surgery. However, multiple postoperative adverse events associated with ischemia may be caused by excessive inflation pressure and duration. We aimed to evaluate the degree of tourniquet-induced ischemia using a noninvasive continuous real-time monitoring method and the relationship between changes in tissue oxygen saturation (StO2) and blood biochemical markers of ischemic injuries in patients undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. Methods This was a prospective observational study using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Data were collected from 29 consecutive patients who underwent arthroscopic procedures. Twenty-five patients underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, and four underwent meniscal repair. We investigated tourniquet‐induced changes in StO2, monitored using NIRS, and blood biochemical markers of ischemic injuries. Results A significant decrease in the mean StO2 from the baseline was observed during tourniquet inflation in the operative legs. The average decrease in the mean StO2 was 58%. A comparison of mean StO2 between the nonoperative and operative legs before tourniquet deflation showed that mean values of StO2 in the operative legs were significantly lower than those in the nonoperative legs. No significant clinical relationships were observed between changes in StO2 and blood biochemical markers of ischemic injuries (creatine kinase) (p = 0.04, r = 0.38) or tourniquet duration (p = 0.05, r = 0.366). Conclusions Our results demonstrated that StO2 could be used to evaluate tissue perfusion in real time but did not support the hypothesis that StO2 is a useful method for predicting the degree of tourniquet-induced injury during arthroscopic knee surgery.

With the continuous increase in the number of buildings, the phenomenon of excessively high energy consumption becomes more and more serious. It is particularly important to reduce the energy consumption during the operation of the whole life cycle of the building. Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology is based on the relevant parameters of construction projects, and uses digital information simulation to establish building information models. It is one of the technical means of building energy consumption analysis and energy saving management, that can be explained as the main reason for stakeholders to guide energy and efficiency changes of the driving factor in buildings. We start co-occurrence statistics and type analysis based on the co-occurrence context analysis, construct the co-occurrence information that affects the values and barriers combination of BIM implementation for smart building energy and efficiency, and chose the expert database of the Green Construction and Intelligent Building Branch (GCIBB) of China Construction Association, that obtained 104 samples through modified snowball sampling, using exploratory factor analysis with factor load linear functions, and combined factor variance contribution rate weights. We created index function of the values and barriers combination of BIM implementation in smart building energy and efficiency, and classified and calculated the comprehensive score of each factor according to the ranking evaluation index, and mapped its practical significance. The results show that the 18 combined evaluation indicators proposed in this paper are suitable for evaluating the three elements of benefit, efficiency and quality of smart buildings, and can achieve continuous optimization of building energy consumption. The constructed multi-factor combination evaluation model, the extracted common factor variance cumulative contribution rate is greater than 80%.

Based on the blockchain + software defined network(SDN) technology, we explore and research a new smart energy networks IoT architecture model of distributed trust to solve the “stuck neck” problems such as bandwidth constraints and trust obstruction of the current centralized network architecture of smart energy networks. In order to achieve efficient data flow and sharing and co-governance. Based on the MTP-Argon2 hash function algorithm in the Itsuku PoW technical solution, we add computing power optimization and correction multi-objective optimization operations, and use the network control right separation technology of the FS-Open Security SDN model to establish local database access policies and storage credentials. The traditional hardware devices are separated from the centralized network architecture of the smart energy network into a hybrid network architecture model of distributed trust. The results show that the distributed trust hybrid network architecture model achieves low latency and circumvents network bandwidth limitations, reflecting the energy efficiency gain and security stability of the model, as well as network load robustness.

The collaborative development of conventional buses and urban metro has become an important research topic for the priority development of urban public transport. The topic of collaborative optimization of feeder bus route design and operation is studied in this study. The objective function is to minimize the total travel time of passengers and the operation cost of feeder buses. The improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to solve the collaborative optimization model, and the effectiveness of the model and algorithm is verified through the case study. The research shows that it is feasible in model construction and algorithm to carry out collaborative optimization of feeder bus route design and operation. Compared with the multiple-to-one (M to 1) mode, the multiple-to-multiple (M to M) mode can better satisfy the needs of passengers from different places of departure and destinations to achieve a more reasonable and realistic goal. The case study is based on two metro stations and 16 feeder bus stops on Fuzhou Metro line 2 to obtain two bus routes and a corresponding operation scheme. Under the same topology road network, the operation time of the improved PSO algorithm is much shorter than the DFS algorithm, the total cost error of the feeder bus is 0.04%, and the departure frequency error is 4.6%, which is within the reasonable error range. Therefore, the collaborative optimization model proposed in this study is feasible and effective in optimizing the feeder bus routes and operation.

BackgroundAcute pulmonary embolism (APE) is associated with peak incidence and mortality rate in winter. The present study sought to characterize the clinical and hemodynamic features of cold weather on APE patients.MethodsAll enrolled 224 APE patients underwent clinical and hemodynamic evaluation and baseline parameters were collected. Recruited patients were grouped by weather pattern on admission into cold and warm weather group. The correlation and prognostic values among cold weather and other variables were analyzed.ResultsCompared to warm weather group, patients in cold weather group present with more severe cardiac function, with adverse WHO-functional class (P = 0.032) and higher NT-proBNP concentration [1,853.0 (398.0, 5,237.0) pg/ml vs. 847.5 (56.8, 3,090.5) pg/ml, P = 0.001]. The cold weather group also displayed much critical hemodynamic status and heavier thrombosis load, with higher mPAP (29.1 ± 11.2mmHg vs. 25.6 ± 14.2mmHg, P = 0.045), higher PVR [3.3 (1.7, 6.0) wood units vs. 1.8 (0.9, 3.8) wood units, P < 0.001], higher Miller index (21.4 ± 5.9 vs. 19.1 ± 8.0, P = 0.024), and higher D-dimer levels [2,172.0 (854.5, 3,072.5) mg/L vs. 1,094.5 (210.5, 2,914.5) mg/L, P = 0.008]. Besides, cold weather showed well correlation with the above variables. Survival analysis showed APE patients in cold weather had significantly higher clinical worsening event rate (P = 0.010) and could be an independent predictor of adverse clinical outcome in the multivariate analysis (HR 2.629; 95% CI 1.127, 6.135; P = 0.025).ConclusionAPE patients in cold weather were associated with thrombus overload, cardiac dysfunction, hemodynamic collapse and higher clinical worsening event rate. Cold weather proves to be an independent predictor of adverse clinical outcome.

Abstract Background Patients who use angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs)/angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) are prone to developing side effects like hypotension and even refractory hypotension during anesthesia use, and whether ACEIs/ARBs should be continued or discontinued in such patients remains debatable. The present systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to clarify the consequences of continuing or withholding these drugs, especially with regards to the incidence of intraoperative hypotension, in patients who continue to use ACEIs/ARBs on the day of their scheduled surgery. Methods Studies with data pertinent to the incidence of intraoperative hypotension during anesthesia use in patients who continued the use of ACEIs/ARBs on the day of their scheduled surgery were considered for inclusion. Results Thirteen studies reporting on the incidences of intraoperative hypotension between patients who continued receiving ACEIs/ARBs and those who did not on the day of their surgical procedure were included. The pooled effects showed that hypotension during anesthesia was more likely to develop in patients who continued to take ACEIs/ARBs when compared to those who did not (RR = 1.41, 95% CI: 1.21–1.64). However, there were no significant differences between these groups of patients with regards to postoperative complications including ST-T abnormalities, myocardial injury, myocardial infarction, stroke, major adverse cardiac events, acute kidney injury, or death (RR = 1.25, 95% CI: 0.76–2.04). The differences remained similar in subgroup analyses and sensitivity analyses. Conclusions No sufficient available evidence to recommend discontinuing ACEIs/ARBs on the day of surgery was found in this literature review and meta-analysis. However, anesthetists should be cautious about the risk for intraoperative hypotension in patients chronically receiving ACEIs/ARBs, and should know how to treat it effectively.

In plants, Rho-related GTPases (Rops) are versatile molecular switches that regulate various biological processes, although their exact roles are not fully understood. Herein, we provide evidence that the ectopic expression of a Rop derived from Capsicum annuum, designated CaRop1, in tobacco plants modulates the response of these plants to Ralstonia solanacearum or aphid attack. The deduced amino acid sequence of CaRop1 harbors a conserved Rho domain and is highly homologous to Rops of other plant species. Transient expression of a CaRop1-GFP fusion protein in Nicotiana benthamiana leaf epidermal cells revealed localization of the GFP signal to the plasma membrane, cytoplasm, and nucleus. Overexpression (OE) of the wild-type CaRop1 or its dominant-negative mutant (DN-CaRop1) conferred substantial resistance to R. solanacearum infection and aphid attack, and this effect was accompanied by enhanced transcriptional expression of the hypersensitive-reaction marker gene HSR201; the jasmonic-acid (JA)-responsive PR1b and LOX1; the insect resistance-associated NtPI-I, NtPI-II, and NtTPI; the ethylene (ET) production-associated NtACS1; and NPK1, a mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase (MAPKKK) that interferes with N-, Bs2-, and Rx-mediated disease resistance. In contrast, OE of the constitutively active mutant of CaRop1(CA-CaRop1) enhanced susceptibility of the transgenic tobacco plants to R. solanacearum infection and aphid attack and downregulated or sustained the expression of HSR201, PR1b, NPK1, NtACS1, NtPI-I, NtPI-II and NtTPI. These results collectively suggest that CaRop1 acts as a signaling switch in the crosstalk between Solanaceaes’s response to R. solanacearum infection and aphid attack possibly via JA/ET-mediated signaling machinery.

In this study, seventeen faceted gem-quality chrysoberyls exhibiting an attractive canary yellow color were investigated using a variety of gemological, spectral, and chemical methods. Microscopic observation revealed the presence of distinct growth lines and inclusions, including CO2 fluids, carbon, and crystals of mineral such as calcite, quartz, sillimanite, and mica, identified by the Raman spectrum. The FTIR spectra showed the characteristic peaks of 2405 and 2160 cm−1 and a 3223 cm−1 peak in all samples, which can be accompanied by the 3112 cm−1 shoulder, 3301, and 3412 and 3432 cm−1 peaks. The UV-Vis spectra showed an Fe-related peak at 440 nm, along with the 650–660 nm band and the absorption band in the blue zone of visible light. Chemical analyses via EDXRF showed a composition poor in V and Cr and rich in Fe. The spectral and chemical results could help explain the origin of the canary yellow color, which originates from the abundant amount of Fe with very little influence from Cr and V.
