Abstract

The object of research is the technological process of grain contact drying in a grain dryer with a spiral-screw transporting working organ. The aim of the study is to reduce the energy intensity of grain contact drying with the justification of constructive and regime parameters of the grain dryer. To achieve this aim, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: to develop a perspective constructive and technological scheme of a grain dryer of a contact type with a spiral-screw transporting working organ that ensures the energy intensity reduction of drying; to carry out theoretical studies of grain contact drying in a grain dryer with a spiral-screw transporting working organ; to make a prototype of a grain dryer and investigate experimentally the optimal values of constructive and regime parameters. Methods of research and equipment. As the main methods, the methods of physical modeling, multifactorial experiment and process optimization were applied. The developed grain dryer provides for reduction of the presented expenses by 60%. As the result of the research it was established that the maximum productivity is reached at 10 min-1 and is 250 kg/h. Scope of application: the farms of the agroindustrial complex of Russia. Abstract

In most present-day tokamaks, the majority of the heating power comes from sources such as neutral-beam injection (NBI) and other types of auxiliary heating which allow for the transfer of energy to the plasma by a small population of externally introduced fast particles. The behavior of the fast ions is important for the overall plasma dynamics, and understanding their influence is vital for the success of any future magnetic confinement devices. In the TUMAN-3M tokamak, it has been noted that the loss of fast particles during NBI can lead to dramatic changes in the rotation velocity profiles, as they are responsible for the negative radial electric field on the periphery. Abstract

Red wine, an alcoholic beverage is composed of a spectrum of complex compounds such as water, alcohol, glycerol, organic acid, carbohydrates, polyphenols, and minerals as well as volatile compounds. Major factors that affect the levels of phenolic compounds in red wines are the variety of grapes and the storage of the wines. Among the constituents of red wine, phenolic compounds play a crucial role in attributes including color and mouthfeel and confer beneficial properties on health. Most importantly, phenolic compounds such as flavanols, flavonols, flavanones, flavones, tannins, anthocyanins, hydroxycinnamic acids, hydroxybenzoic acids, and resveratrol can prevent the development of cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes, inflammation, and some other chronic diseases. Abstract

We are currently witnessing the process of active differentiation among Russian universities. This is drive by two key reasons: growing crisis factors in Russia's socio-economic sphere and the implementation of state programmes to improve universities' competitiveness on a global and a regional scale. The differentiation of universities leads to an overhaul of their strategies, changes to their educational programs and a diversification of their income through various activities on the education and research markets. The development of entrepreneurial education is one of the trends in changes at Russian universities. The paper presents the results of an analysis of Russian universities, which are delivering entrepreneurial education programmes. These universities were analysed across the following sets of indicators: the presence of 'entrepreneurial content' in educational programmes, key strategic documents, the share of university income derived from different types of entrepreneurial activities. All information was gathered through open sources - namely, the universities' websites. Our analysis identified statistically significant correlations between several indicators. Firstly, there is a negative correlation between the proportion of income from paid educational services and science and research activities. Secondly, there is a smaller proportion of graduate entrepreneurial programmes at universities that have a higher overall income, and a higher share of income from scientific activities. Thirdly, the presence of innovation and business-focused content in universities' strategy documents has almost no relationship to universities' actual entrepreneurial activities. Thus, our research showed that the strategic positioning of universities as entrepreneurially focussed is not supported by their actual activities to develop business education and leverage entrepreneurial potential to attract resources to the university. We concluded that the process of differentiating Russian universities and forming a group of entrepreneurial universities is at the seminal stage. Its invigoration requires a modernisation of key institutions (corporate culture, norms and values), the establishment of a special environment and the actualisation of a set of rules to sustain the longevity of entrepreneurial universities. 40. Behaviour of Ion-modified Cladding Tubes from E110 Alloy in High-temperature Water Steam.

Abstract

A series corrosion tests was carried out on 10 mm long samples of fuel tubes made of the E110opt alloy in a steam at the temperature of 800 °C for 5000 s. The samples were studied in the initial state, after ion polishing, alloying of the surface layer with Fe, Fe+Mo, Fe+Y, Cr, Mg and Al atoms by ion mixing. It is shown that the ion polishing of samples by argon ions, using the chosen regime, reduces the overweight in the high-temperature oxidation (HTO) under the 800/5000 regime from 2.090 to 1.730 mg/cm², respectively. A series of works on modifying the surface by ion polishing and subsequent alloying with Fe, Fe+Mo, Fe+Y, Cr, Mg and Al atoms by ion mixing was carried out on the installation ILUR-03. It is shown that under the HTO conditions, the best results were obtained in case of alloying with Fe atoms as applied to the 800/5000 oxidation regime. At that, the overweight decreased from 2.090 to 1.900 mg/cm². It is shown that the highest resistance under the HTO conditions was obtained for the FeCrNi coating: under the 800/5000 regime, the overweight decreased from 2.090 to 1.720 mg/cm²; under the 800/7500 regime - from 3.250 to 2.450 mg/cm²; and under the 1000/5000 regime - from 5.340 to 5.140 mg/cm². Abstract

The results of experiments of parts of cladding tubes from sponge based zirconium E110 alloy near-surface layers doping by means of ion-plasma technologies are presented in this paper. Alloying of material by method of pre-deposited Fe, Y, Mo, Al, Mg, Cr films ion mixing is performed on installation ILUR-03 by means of radial Ar+ ion beam 3-4 keV average energy. State of modified material layer and oxides, grown on the modified samples in argon-water steam mixture at 1200 °C studied by scanning electron and ion microscopy methods, X-ray analysis and secondary ion mass spectroscopy. Abstract

The Ulba Metallurgical Plant Joint Stock Company (ULBA) is one of the world's leading producers of uranium dioxide fuel pellets for commercial power plants as well as a major supplier of beryllium, tantalum, and niobium products. ULBA is incorporated into the National Atomic Company Kazatomprom. ULBA's Uranium Production Division has been fabricating and handling uranium materials for over 50 years with its primary products being: natural uranium oxides; low enriched uranium dioxide powder; and fuel pellets for WWER and RBMK reactors. Kazakhstan supports nuclear nonproliferation and has signed Nuclear Nonproliferation and Peaceful Use of Nuclear Power Agreements with Russia, the United States and European Community. Under this framework, ULBA successfully implemented the project to transport, store, and down blend BN-350 reactor fuel into low enriched uranium. Today, ULBA continues its support of nuclear nonproliferation by improving its capabilities and capacity for down blending high enriched uranium in various forms to low enriched uranium. Abstract

The paper presents the results of analysis of entrepreneurial curricula delivered at Russian universities. The analysis yielded the following results. Te proportion of credits aimed at developing hard skills significantly outweighs the proportion of soft skill-focused credits. The share of credits for forming hard and soft skills at both undergraduate and graduate levels is roughly the same. There are large differences between state and private universities as regards the proportion of credits aimed at forming hard skills: this proportion is higher at state universities than private ones. The analysis also confirmed a significant difference in the proportion of credits for hard skills disciplines for generalist entrepreneurial curricula and specialist programmes: it is higher in general curricula and lower in specialized ones. At the same time, these curricula are not noticeably different as regards the proportion of credits focused on forming soft skills. Our research showed that Russian universities have a low potential for influencing and supporting innovative entrepreneurship through their activities. One of the major persisting challenges for Russian universities as regards entrepreneurial education is the delivery of learning outcomes sought after on the market. Another problem is linked to a critically low share of courses aimed at developing soft skills in curricula for future entrepreneurs. We found that the presence of a rather high proportion of private education providers in the Russian higher education system has not prompted the development of entrepreneurial curricula. Their role in producing an active economic class of entrepreneurs and fostering self-employment is clearly insufficient.
