Tiller related traits play important roles in determining yielding potential in wheat. It is of great value to elucidate the genetic basis of tiller number for the genetic improvement of wheat yield. In the present study, a recombinant inbred lines (RILs) mapping population derived from the cross between Kenong 9204 (KN9204) × Jing 411 (J411) (denoted by KJ-RILs) was used for quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis of three tiller related traits. A total of 78 putative additive QTLs for spike number per plant (SNPP), the maximum tiller number (MTN) and ear-bearing tiller rate (EBTR) were detected in eight different environments. Among them, 12 repeatable QTL might be novel QTL that were firstly documented in the present study. The genetic effect analysis of two co-located major stable QTL, i.e., qSnpp-KJ-5D.1 and qMtn-KJ-5D.1, on yield-related traits were characterized. Moreover, the favored alleles of qSnpp-KJ-5D.1 and qMtn-KJ-5D.1 have been undergone selection in wheat breeding programs; its future application potential in the genetic improvement of yield based on molecular breeding technology was evaluated. The candidate genes underlying qMtn-KJ-5D.1 were predicated based on multi-omics data information, and TraesKN5D01HG00080 is likely to be its candidate gene. Overall, our findings will be useful for elucidating the genetic architecture of tiller-related traits and developing novel wheat varieties with high yield.

The active development of nuclear power is an important strategic choice to achieve carbon peak and neutrality goals. It is an essential study to realize the economic operation of nuclear plants on the premise of ensuring the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants. Intelligent monitoring and maintenance technology is an important development tendency that can effectively improve the operation safety and maintenance economy of nuclear power plant. In this article, an intelligent monitoring and maintenance system of AP1000 significant equipment in Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant is developed based on the equipment operation mechanism and failure mode analysis by using advanced pattern recognition technologies including intelligent sensing, big data analysis, multidimensional spatio-temporal correlation condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technologies. It can realize online real-time equipment performance monitoring, automatic trend analysis, automatic health condition evaluation, early anomaly identification and automatic fault diagnosis of equipment in nuclear power plant and promote the transformation of maintenance mode from time-based maintenance to condition-based maintenance. The intelligent monitoring and maintenance system has been applied in various mechanical and electrical equipment of Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant such as reactor coolant pump, main steam turbine, main transformer, heat exchanger and achieved certain technical achievements and economic benefits. The construction of intelligent monitoring system has certain demonstration and popularization.

Objective:The incidence, types, and influencing factors of injuries due to snow-ice disasters are essential for public health preparedness. This study was designed to assess such factors of injuries during the 22-day snowstorm in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, in 2008.Methods:A multistage cluster probability sampling method was applied to select the study population in urban, rural, and mountainous areas. Data including sociodemographic characteristics, frequency, and types of injuries during the snowstorm between January 20 and February 10, 2008, were obtained by face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire and by checking the participants' medical records. Univariate and multivariate regression analyses were used to determine the factors significantly associated with the risk of injuries.Results:A total of 3169 residents of 1416 families took part in this survey. In 581 residents, 602 injuries were identified. Incidences of frostbite, falling injury, and traffic accident–related injury were 12.78%, 5.30%, and 0.50%, respectively. Injury occurred more frequently in women than in men (odds ratio [OR], 1.42; 95% CI, 1.19-1.70). Frostbite occurred more frequently in women than in men (adjusted OR, 1.86; 95% CI, 1.43-2.41) and more frequently in urban areas than in other areas (adjusted OR, 1.65; 95% CI, 1.24-2.20). Travel by bus or car, wearing a scarf, wearing gloves, wearing a raincoat, reducing outdoor activity, and performing regular physical exercise were independent protective factors of frostbite, with an adjusted OR (95% CI) of 0.35 (0.20-0.61), 0.45 (0.33-0.62), 0.35 (0.26-0.48), 0.45 (0.33-0.61), 0.36 (0.27-0.48), and 0.18 (0.13-0.24), respectively. Falling injury occurred more often in mountainous areas than in other areas (adjusted OR, 1.74; 95% CI, 1.27-2.42). Age 45 years or older, working outside more than 15 days, and wearing a raincoat were independent risk factors of falling injury, with an adjusted OR (95% CI) of 2.30 (1.60-3.32), 1.92 (1.36-2.72), and 2.21 (1.56-3.11), respectively. Falling and traffic accident–related injuries were mainly due to slippery roads.Conclusions:Frostbite and falling injury were the major injuries caused by an unprecedented snow-ice disaster. Keeping warm and maintaining regular physical exercise appeared to reduce frostbite risk. Public health intervention also reduced the risk of falling and traffic accident–related injuries.(Disaster Med Public Health Preparedness. 2012;6:363-369)

To describe the daily average concentration of sulfur dioxide (SO2) in Ningbo, and to analysis the health impacts it caused in upper respiratory disease.With outpatients log and air pollutants monitoring data matched in 2011-2013, the distributed lag non-linear models were used to analysis the relative risk of the number of upper respiratory patients associated with SO2, and also excessive risk, and the inferred number of patients due to SO2 pollution.The daily average concentration of SO2 didn't exceed the limit value of second class area. The coefficient of upper respiratory outpatient number and daily average concentration of SO2 matched was 0.44,with the excessive risk was 10% to 18%, the lag of most SO2 concentrations was 4 to 6 days. It could be estimated that about 30% of total upper respiratory outpatients were caused by SO2 pollution.Although the daily average concentration of SO2 didn't exceed the standard in 3 years, the health impacts still be caused with lag effect.
