The aim of this study was to clarify the "morphological-trait–body weight" correlation, gonadal development characteristics, and pleopod (main edible part) nutrient composition of the whelk (Volutharpa perryi perryi). Live body mass (BM), soft tissue mass (STM), and eight other morphological traits of the whelk were measured, and path coefficients, correlation indices (R2), and coefficients of determination were then calculated. Gonadal development characteristics were investigated by histological observation. Pleopod nutrient composition was analyzed by standard biochemical assays. The results indicated that (1) shell aperture width (SAW) and body whorl height (BWH) were positively correlated with both live BM and STM (p < 0.01), and shell height (SH) was positively correlated with both live BM and STM (p < 0.01) in male whelks; (2) similar gonadal development characteristics were observed in both female and male whelks; and (3) pleopod nutrient composition was consistent in both female and male whelks, whereas sex-specific variation in pleopod nutrient content was observed in the whelks. Ultrathin III–VI semiconductors have garnered significant attention as potential candidates for electronic applications. Indium selenide (In2Se3) exhibits fascinating ferroelectric properties and phase-dependent bandgap (1.3–2.8 eV), making it promising for applications in micro- and nanoelectronics field. However, the challenges of synthesizing large-sized, uniformly structured In2Se3 films with the desired phase and ensuring their stability remain significant. In this study, we demonstrate a method for preparing two-dimensional (2D) In2Se3 films by an atomic displacement reaction of In2O3 in a selenium (Se) atmosphere. The phase structure of In2Se3 films could be controlled from the γ to β phase by adjusting the reaction temperature, and the as-grown In2Se3 films show good crystallinity and uniformity. Furthermore, we establish that h-BN, acting as the dual-sided encapsulation layers, effectively segregates the In2Se3 films from atmospheric oxygen. This prevents deselenization and oxidation reactions, leading to a marked improvement in the stability of the In2Se3 films. The research results will lay the foundation for the application of In2Se3 in high-power, highly integrated micronanodevices, spanning across various areas including storage arrays, field-effect transistors, sensors, optoelectronics, and photovoltaics. Space charge formation in low-density polyethylene (LDPE) filled with zeolites and clays has been investigated by the thermally stimulated current method. The presence of fillers affects the dielectric properties due to additional dielectric relaxation phenomena, which depend on the structure of the inorganic filler. Pores or cages existing in the zeolite frame enable their compensated ions to move away from their neutral position under electric field to form dipoles of very low activation energy and high attempt-to-escape frequency. The activation energy is related to the pore sizes of zeolites. However, kaolin-based clay which has movable cations on its surfaces form an interfacial dipole between the LDPE and clay. A |Maxwell-Wagner' interfacial relaxation behavior was observed in the clay-filled LDPE system. The activation energy of interfacial relaxation of the clay-filled LDPE system is higher than that of dipole relaxation of the zeolite-filled LDPE.
