Background: 5-Hydroxymethylcytosine-enriched gene profiles and regions show tissue-specific and tumor specific. There is a potential value to explore cell-free DNA 5-hydroxymethylcytosine feature biomarkers for early gastric cancer detection. Methods: A matched case‒control study design with 50 gastric cancer patients and 50 controls was performed to sequence the different 5-hydroxymethylcytosine modification features of cell free DNA. Significantly differential 5-hydroxymethylcytosine modification genes were identified to construct a gastric cancer diagnostic model. Data set from GEO was used as an external testing set to test the robustness of the diagnostic model. Results: Accounting for more than 90% of 5-hydroxymethylcytosine peaks were distributed in the gene body in both the gastric cancer and control groups. The diagnostic model was developed based on five different 5-hydroxymethylcytosine modification genes, FBXL7, PDE3A, TPO, SNTG2 and STXBP5. The model could effectively distinguish gastric cancer patients from controls in the training (AUC = 0.95, sensitivity = 88.6%, specificity = 94.3%), validation (AUC = 0.87, sensitivity = 73.3%, specificity = 93.3%) and testing (AUC = 0.90, sensitivity = 81.9%, specificity = 90.2%) sets. The risk scores of the controls from the model were significantly lower than those of gastric cancer patients in both our own data (P < 0.001) and GEO external testing data (P < 0.001), and no significant difference between different TNM stage patients (P = 0.09 and 0.66). Furthermore, there was no significant difference between the healthy control and benign gastric disease patients in the testing set from GEO (P = 0.10). Conclusions: The characteristics of 5-hydroxymethylcytosine in cell free DNA are specific to gastric cancer patients, and the diagnostic model constructed by five genes' 5-hydroxymethylcytosine features could effectively identify gastric cancer patients. On‐chip metasurfaces integrated atop optical waveguides have demonstrated the capability of efficiently radiating guided‐waves into arbitrarily prescribed spatial modes by properly tailoring the phase distribution in the metasurface interface. To date, most on‐chip holographic metasurfaces, typically relying on path multiplexing or wavelength multiplexing to multiply the produced images, encounter certain limitations in further enhancing the image storage capacity due to the limited degrees of freedom available for on‐chip devices. This work introduces an on‐chip metasurface composed of polarization‐sensitive cross meta‐atoms allowing independent control of the propagation phase of diffracted waves from waveguided TE and TM modes. Meanwhile, incorporating the guided‐wave generated in‐plane detour phases into the metasurface yields another two degrees of freedom. Thus, four independent holographic images can be readily switched by simply selecting the excitation modes and waveguide ports. As a proof‐of‐concept, a dual‐port four‐channel multiplexed metasurface, whose optical functionalities are validated by performing full‐wave simulations, is successfully realized. Moreover, the application to the creation of 3D holograms is also extended. Acoustic black hole (ABH) with extraordinary properties of wave manipulation and energy focalization has been drawing growing attention in mechanical metamaterial, and the development of topological phenomena provides a novel way for investigation of ABH characteristics. This paper explores the physical mechanism of dispersion curves of three metabeams with embedded periodic ABHs and studies the topological phenomena of the compound metabeam for energy localization. First, the mass-spring models are employed according to lattice dynamics method to clarify the formation mechanism of bandgaps and the effect of the parameters on dispersion relation. Meanwhile, the diatomic mass-spring model provides an analytical framework to investigate the band inversion and the displacement distribution of topological states. Furthermore, numerical analyses are carried out to investigate the band structures, eigenmodes, transmission, and the achievement of topological interface state by proposed compound metabeam. The adjustment of structural parameters, changing the mass and stiffness of the mass-spring model, can broaden the bandgap in low frequency for better vibration attenuation performance. Besides, the modal formation in low frequency is explained by masses vibration distribution. The correctness of the method is verified by comparing the transmission numerically with previous experiments. M-type hexagonal ferrites have received widespread attention for their excellent magnetic properties, but studying the intricate interplay between their composition, process and magnetic properties has long been a puzzling task. The advent of machine learning offers a promising example for accelerating the discovery of connections between them. In this work, we trained five machine learning regression models (SVR, DTR, AdaBoost, GBDT and MLP) using data collected from the literature and found that the SVR model performed well on the dataset. In order to verify the feasibility of the SVR model, we predicted the magnetic properties of Ba 1-x La x Fe 12-y Mn y O 19 (0.1≤x=y≤0.6), and then prepared and tested them. The results showed a good agreement between the prediction and the experiment, which proved the reliability of the designed model. Moreover, we elucidate the occupancy trend of Mn3+ ions by first principles calculation and Raman spectroscopy verification. This work strongly suggests that machine learning has the potential to explore the relationship between composition, process and properties, which opens the door for the tailoring the properties of M-type hexagonal ferrites. Purpose: Current treatments for osteosarcoma (OS) have a poor prognosis, particularly for patients with metastasis and recurrence, underscoring an urgent need for new targeted therapies to improve survival. Targeted alpha-particle therapy selectively delivers cytotoxic payloads to tumors with radiolabeled molecules that recognize tumor-associated antigens. We have recently demonstrated the potential of an FDA approved, humanized anti-GD2 antibody, hu3F8, as a targeted delivery vector for radiopharmaceutical imaging of OS. The current study aims to advance this system for alpha-particle therapy of OS. Methods: The hu3F8 antibody was radiolabeled with actinium-225, and the safety and therapeutic efficacy of the [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-hu3F8 were evaluated in both orthotopic murine xenografts of OS and spontaneously occurring OS in canines. Results: Significant antitumor activity was proven in both cases, leading to improved overall survival. In the murine xenograft's case, tumor growth was delayed by 16–18 days compared to the untreated cohort as demonstrated by bioluminescence imaging. The results were further validated with magnetic resonance imaging at 33 days after treatment, and microcomputed tomography and planar microradiography post-mortem. Histological evaluations revealed radiation-induced renal toxicity, manifested as epithelial cell karyomegaly and suggestive polyploidy in the kidneys, suggesting rapid recovery of renal function after radiation damage. Treatment of the two canine patients delayed the progression of metastatic spread, with an overall survival time of 211 and 437 days and survival beyond documented metastasis of 111 and 84 days, respectively. The membrane-type structure that can achieve excellent sound insulation characteristics under lightweight conditions is widely concerned, but it generally involves a small mass block attached to a thin membrane. Although this kind of design can obtain better acoustic insulation performance, the mass block will cause installation and manufacturing issues in industrial applications. This paper presents a multilayer honeycomb membrane-type acoustic metamaterial with an interlayer structure. Similar to the mass block, the interlayer structure makes less sound energy transmitted by varying the eigenmode characteristics of the membrane. Considering the integrated design of the interlayer structure, the issues of installation and manufacturing are solved and the sound transmission loss is enhanced on the fixed overall dimension and small additional mass. The results indicate that the design of interlayer structures can break the bottleneck of ultrathin and lightweight requirements. Meanwhile, the symmetry of interlayer position can lead to the shift in transmission loss valley to a higher frequency, achieving high sound insulation in a wide frequency range. Acute interstitial nephritis (AIN) is a significant contributor to acute kidney injury and can be attributed to a variety of factors, including but not limited to allergens or drugs, infections, autoimmune or systemic diseases, and idiopathic forms of the disease. In some cases, AIN requires a therapeutic action according to a single specific etiology by handling the offending agent and applying an immunosuppressant. Although AIN can be diagnosed through renal biopsy, it is not able to pinpoint the precise cause when multiple causes are suspected to be present simultaneously. Such situations arise when a patient suffering from infection develops AIN during antibiotic therapy, the exact causative factor of which becomes a challenge for the clinicians to determine. This is attributed to the different approaches employed in different etiologies, wherein clinicians are required to maintain the current antibiotic therapy or augment the dose in cases of infection as AIN etiology, without resorting to immunosuppressant therapy as the primary objective is infection killing. In contrast, antibiotics as an etiology for AIN require an alternative drug from the antibiotics group, along with an immunosuppressant. In the interim, delaying the identification of the precise cause may result in interstitial fibrosis and chronic kidney disease. This narrative review highlights certain findings that can be typical of infection-associated ATIN compared with antibiotic-associated ATIN based on clinical history and physical examination, clinical presentation of different antibiotic drug classes, histopathological features, classical and novel biomarkers, serum and urine cytokines and chemokines, cellular biomarkers, and genetic biomarkers. Although these findings cannot provide conclusive and clear recommendations that can be useful in the clinical practice, they can entice researchers to conduct original research on these features to discover clear recommendations. TAX1BP1, a multifunctional autophagy adaptor, plays critical roles in different autophagy processes. As an autophagy receptor, TAX1BP1 can interact with RB1CC1, NAP1, and mammalian ATG8 family proteins to drive selective autophagy for relevant substrates. However, the mechanistic bases underpinning the specific interactions of TAX1BP1 with RB1CC1 and mammalian ATG8 family proteins remain elusive. Here, we find that there are two distinct binding sites between TAX1BP1 and RB1CC1. In addition to the previously reported TAX1BP1 SKICH (skeletal muscle and kidney enriched inositol phosphatase (SKIP) carboxyl homology)/RB1CC1 coiled-coil interaction, the first coiled-coil domain of TAX1BP1 can directly bind to the extreme C-terminal coiled-coil and Claw region of RB1CC1. We determine the crystal structure of the TAX1BP1 SKICH/RB1CC1 coiled-coil complex and unravel the detailed binding mechanism of TAX1BP1 SKICH with RB1CC1. Moreover, we demonstrate that RB1CC1 and NAP1 are competitive in binding to the TAX1BP1 SKICH domain, but the presence of NAP1's FIP200-interacting region (FIR) motif can stabilize the ternary TAX1BP1/NAP1/RB1CC1 complex formation. Finally, we elucidate the molecular mechanism governing the selective interactions of TAX1BP1 with ATG8 family members by solving the structure of GABARAP in complex with the non-canonical LIR (LC3-interacting region) motif of TAX1BP1, which unveils a unique binding mode between LIR and ATG8 family protein. Collectively, our findings provide mechanistic insights into the interactions of TAX1BP1 with RB1CC1 and mammalian ATG8 family proteins and are valuable for further understanding the working mode and function of TAX1BP1 in autophagy. Leaf blast is recognized as one of the most devastating diseases affecting rice production in the world, seriously threatening rice yield. Therefore, early detection of leaf blast is extremely important to limit the spread and propagation of the disease. In this study, a leaf blast-specific spectral vegetation index RBVI = 9.78 R 816 − R 724 − 2.08( ρ 736 / R 724 ) was designed to qualitatively detect the level of leaf blast disease in the canopy of a field and to improve the accuracy of early detection of leaf blast by remote sensing by unmanned aerial vehicle. Stacking integrated learning, AdaBoost, and SVM were used to compare and analyze the performance of the RBVI and traditional vegetation index for early detection of leaf blast. The results showed that the stacking model constructed based on the RBVI spectral index had the highest detection accuracy (OA: 95.9%, Kappa: 93.8%). Compared to stacking, the detection accuracy of the SVM and AdaBoost models constructed based on the RBVI is slightly degraded. Compared with conventional SVIs, the RBVI had higher accuracy in its ability to qualitatively detect leaf blast in the field. The leaf blast-specific spectral index RBVI proposed in this study can more effectively improve the accuracy of UAV remote sensing for early detection of rice leaf blast in the field and make up for the shortcomings of UAV hyperspectral detection, which is susceptible to interference by environmental factors. Objective Renal fibrosis is a final common pathological hallmark in the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Non-invasive evaluation of renal fibrosis by mapping renal stiffness obtained by shear wave elastography (SWE) may facilitate the clinical therapeutic regimen for CKD patients. Methods A cohort of 162 patients diagnosed with CKD, who underwent renal biopsy, was prospectively and consecutively recruited between April 2019 and December 2021. The assessment of renal cortex stiffness was performed using SWE imaging. The patients were classified into different groups based on pathological renal fibrosis (mild group: n  = 74; moderate-to-severe group: n  = 88). Binary logistic regression model and generalized additive model were conducted to investigate the association of renal elasticity with renal fibrosis. Results Compared with the mildly impaired group, the moderate-to-severe group showed a significant decline in renal elasticity (P  <  .001). In the fully adjusted model, each 10 kPa drop in renal elasticity was associated with a 3.5-fold increment in the risk of moderate-to-severe renal fibrosis (fully adjusted odds ratio, 4.54; 95% CI, 2.41-8.57). Particularly, participants in the lowest elasticity group (≤29.92 kPa) had a 20-fold increased chance of moderate-to-severe renal fibrosis than those in the group with highest elasticity (≥37.93 kPa). An inverse linear association was observed between renal elasticity increment and moderate-to-severe renal fibrosis risk. Conclusion There is a negative linear association between increased renal elasticity and moderate-to-severe renal fibrosis risk among CKD patients. Patients with diminished renal stiffness have a higher risk of moderate-to-severe renal fibrosis. During the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian, a rift was formed by post‐collisional extension after ocean closure or an island arc‐related basin formed by Paleo‐Asian Ocean (PAO) subduction in the Xi Ujimqin area. Nevertheless, the closure time of the PAO is still under debate. Thus, to identify the origin of the PAO, the geochemistry and U‐Pb age of zircons were analyzed for the extra‐large deep marine, polymict clastic boulders and sandstones in the Shoushangou Formation within the basin. The analyses revealed magmatic activity and tectonic evolution. The conglomerates include megaclasts of granite (298.8 ± 9.1 Ma) and granodiorite porphyry (297.1 ± 3.1 Ma), which were deposited by muddy debris flow. Results of this study demonstrated that the boulders of granitoids have the geochemistry of typical I‐type granite, characterized by low Zr + Nb + Ce + Y and low Ga/Al values. The granitoid boulders were formed in island arc setting, indicating the presence of arc magmatism in the area that is composed of the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian subduction‐related granitoid in southern Xi Ujimqin. Multiple diagrams for determining sedimentary provenance using major and trace elements indicate that Shoushangou sediments originated from continental island arc‐related felsic rocks. Detrital zircon U‐Pb age cluster of 330‐280 Ma was obtained, indicating input from granite, ophiolite, Xilin Gol complex, and Carboniferous sources to the south. The basin was geographically developed behind the arc during the Early Permian period because the outcropped intrusive rocks in the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian form a volcanic arc. The comprehensive analyses of source areas suggest that Shoushangou sediments developed in a backarc basin in response to the northward subduction of the PAO. The backarc basin and intrusive rocks, in addition to previously published Late Carboniferous to Early Permian magmatic rocks of arc unit in Xilin Gol, confirm the presence of an Early Permian trench‐arc‐basin system in the region, represented by the Baolidao arc and Xi Ujimqin backarc basin. This study highlights the importance and potential of combined geochemical and geochronological studies of conglomerates and sandstone for reconstructing the geodynamic setting of a basin. A micro-perforated plate (MPP) as a typical acoustic absorber has ideal sound absorption performance at mid-frequency. A novel metastructure with a MPP and multiple sub-cavities (MPP-MSC) is proposed to broaden the sound absorption frequency range based on Helmholtz resonance, and its sound absorption performance is studied theoretically, numerically, and experimentally. Then, the genetic algorithm is adopted to extend the effective sound absorption band by 120 Hz and reduce the structure thickness to less than 61 mm, which is about 40% thinner than the existing structures. Additionally, a perforated plate with extended tubes (PPET) and porous sound absorptive material (PSAM) are introduced into the metastructure to enhance sound absorption performance in the ultra-low and mid-frequency range. Therefore, the composite sound absorber (PP-MPP-MSC) composed of PPET, PSAM, and MPP with superior sound absorption performance is proposed. Specifically, the effective acoustic absorption frequency of the structure can be broadened to 200–1800 Hz with a maximum thickness of 61 mm. It is worth noting that the design and fabrication of PP-MPP-MSC are relatively accessible, and effective sound absorption performance can be achieved in a certain frequency range, which presents the guiding role for current noise reduction applications. Purpose: More than 90% of patients with diabetes worldwide are type 2 diabetes (T2D), which is caused by insulin resistance or impaired producing insulin by pancreatic β cells. T2D and its complications, mainly large cardiovascular (LCV) and kidney (Ne) complications, are the major cause of death in diabetes patients. Recently, the dysregulation of peripheral T cell immune homeostasis was found in most T2D patients. However, the characteristics of T-cell receptors (TCR) remain largely unexplored in T2D patients. Patients and methods: Here we investigated the TCR repertoire using high-throughput sequencing in peripheral blood collected from T2D patient with (8 LCV and 7 Ne) or without complications. Results: Our analysis of TCR repertoires in peripheral blood samples showed that TCR profiles in T2D patients with complications tended to be single and specific compared to controls, according to the characteristics of TCR repertoire in V-J combination number, diversity, principal component analysis (PCA) and differential genes. And we identified some differentially expressed V-J gene segments and amino acid clonotypes, which had the potential to contribute to distinguishing T2D patient with or without complications. As the progression of the disease, we found that the profiling of TCR repertoire was also differential between T2D patients with LVD and Ne complications base on this pilot analysis. Conclusion: This study demonstrated the protentional unique property of TCR repertoire in peripheral blood of T2D patient with and without complications, or T2D patients with LVD and Ne complications, which provided the possibility for future improvements in immune-related diagnosis and therapy for T2D complications. SUMMARY: Salt glands are the unique epidermal structures present in recretohalophytes, plants that actively excrete excess Na+ by salt secretory structures to avoid salt damage. Here, we describe a transmembrane protein that localizes to the plasma membrane of the recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor. As virus‐induced gene silencing of the corresponding gene LbRSG in L. bicolor decreased the number of salt glands, we named the gene Reduced Salt Gland. We detected LbRSG transcripts in salt glands by in situ hybridization and transient transformation. Overexpression and silencing of LbRSG in L. bicolor pointed to a positive role in salt gland development and salt secretion by interacting with Lb3G16832. Heterologous LbRSG expression in Arabidopsis enhanced salt tolerance during germination and the seedling stage by alleviating NaCl‐induced ion stress and osmotic stress after replacing or deleting the (highly) negatively charged region of extramembranous loop. After screened by immunoprecipitation‐mass spectrometry and verified using yeast two‐hybrid, PGK1 and BGLU18 were proposed to interact with LbRSG to strengthen salt tolerance. Therefore, we identified (highly) negatively charged regions in the extramembrane loop that may play an essential role in salt tolerance, offering hints about LbRSG function and its potential to confer salt resistance. Significance Statement: LbRSG (Reduced Salt Gland) was characterized as a transmembrane protein participating in salt gland development and salt resistance of recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor by interacting with Lb3G16832, and the negatively charged regions in the extramembranous loop were verified to play an essential role in salt tolerance of transgenic Arabidopsis. The contributions of local and remote forcings to the interannual sea level anomalies (SLAs) along the U.S. East Coast (USEC) during the satellite altimetry era from 1993 to 2019 are quantified with analytical models assisted by statistical methods. The local forcings from alongshore wind stress, sea level pressure via inverted barometer (IB) effect, and river discharges together explain 47%, 60.4%, and 66.8% of coastal sea level variance in the South Atlantic Bight (SAB), Mid-Atlantic Bight (MAB), and Gulf of Maine (GOM), respectively, with river discharges having the minimum contribution. Over a longer period of 1960–2019, the contribution of local forcings reduces significantly, with the IB effect having the minimum contribution. The remote forcings associated with open-ocean signals from the east and from the northern boundary at the Scotian coast together with the Gulf Stream (GS) variability explain 45.7%, 28.5%, and 37.7% of coastal sea level variance in the SAB, MAB, and GOM, respectively, playing a role comparable to that of local forcings in the SAB. The open-ocean sea level signals from 35° to 38°N strongly influence coastal SLAs in the SAB. The coastal SLAs in the SAB are also affected by the upstream GS strength (28°–36°N) and basin-scale wind stress curl anomaly, which is linked to the meridional shift in the downstream GS (74°–68°W). Remote forcings from the subpolar North Atlantic and wind stress curl from the Grand Banks to the Scotian coast influence coastal SLAs in the GOM and MAB via the northern boundary of the USEC at the Scotian coast. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rapidly progressive and fatal neurodegenerative disorder, characterized by selective loss of motor neurons (MNs). A number of causative genetic mutations underlie the disease, including mutations in the fused in sarcoma (FUS) gene, which can lead to both juvenile and late-onset ALS. Although ALS results from MN death, there is evidence that dysfunctional glial cells, including oligodendroglia, contribute to neurodegeneration. Here, we used human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) with a R521H or a P525L mutation in FUS and their isogenic controls to generate oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) by inducing SOX10 expression from a TET-On SOX10 cassette. Mutant and control iPSCs differentiated efficiently into OPCs. RNA sequencing identified a myelin sheath-related phenotype in mutant OPCs. Lipidomic studies demonstrated defects in myelin-related lipids, with a reduction of glycerophospholipids in mutant OPCs. Interestingly, FUSR521H OPCs displayed a decrease in the phosphatidylcholine/phosphatidylethanolamine ratio, known to be associated with maintaining membrane integrity. A proximity ligation assay further indicated that mitochondria-associated endoplasmic reticulum membranes (MAM) were diminished in both mutant FUS OPCs. Moreover, both mutant FUS OPCs displayed increased susceptibility to ER stress when exposed to thapsigargin, and exhibited impaired mitochondrial respiration and reduced Ca2+ signaling from ER Ca2+ stores. Taken together, these results demonstrate a pathological role of mutant FUS in OPCs, causing defects in lipid metabolism associated with MAM disruption manifested by impaired mitochondrial metabolism with increased susceptibility to ER stress and with suppressed physiological Ca2+ signaling. As such, further exploration of the role of oligodendrocyte dysfunction in the demise of MNs is crucial and will provide new insights into the complex cellular mechanisms underlying ALS. Background: Several studies have demonstrated that secondary cytoreductive surgery (SCS) for patients with recurrent uterine malignancies may improve the survival. However, the selection criteria for SCS remain to be defined. This study aimed to assess the outcome of SCS and to explore factors that may influence the prognosis. Methods: Data of patients with recurrent uterine malignancies who received SCS in our hospital between January 2005 and January 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were assigned into endometrial carcinoma (EC) group and uterine sarcoma (US) group. Results: 84 cases in total were involved in the study, including 47 cases with recurrent EC and 37 cases with recurrent US. The 5-year survival of cases with recurrent EC and recurrent US was 59.6% and 33.3%, respectively. Recurrent EC cases with a lower tumor grade (G1/G1-G2/G2), size of the largest tumor ≤ 6 cm, single recurrent tumor, a history of adjuvant therapy, as well as recurrent US cases with younger age, a longer disease-free interval (DFI) before SCS (≥ 12 months), no peritoneal dissemination, and a history of complete cytoreduction were associated with a longer survival. The number of recurrent tumors was found as an independent prognostic factor of SCS. In the practice of building energy performance evaluation, two types of rating systems are widely used in building energy performance evaluation: empirical baseline energy use intensity (EUI) for existing buildings and modeled baseline EUI for new buildings. Consequently, the baseline EUIs used by those systems are inconsistent. One example is ASHRAE’s Building EQ In Operation and As Designed. To support the Building EQ, the ASHRAE RP-1771 project attempts to 1) make the baselines in both Building EQ In Operation and As Designed consistent, and 2) reconcile the Building EQ As Design with ASHRAE Standard 90.1 modeled baselines. After reviewing existing building data sources, we created sets of prototypical building energy models for 18 existing commercial building types based on commercial buildings energy consumption survey data. Then, we identified sensitive program design features (PDFs) for all building types. By developing adjustment factors for sensitive PDFs, we could adjust the empirical baseline EUI of Building EQ In Operation to match the modeled baseline EUI of Building EQ As Designed, with relative errors of less than 5%. To support building energy rating for new buildings, we developed a procedure to reconcile the modeled baseline EUIs of Building EQ and ASHRAE Standard 90.1, with relative errors of less than 5%. Herein, the crystal structure, dielectric properties, and gyromagnetic characteristics of Zn–Sn codoped Y3ZnxSnxFe5−2xO12 (x = 0.0–0.5) prepared using a conventional ceramic process were investigated. According to the first‐principles' calculations and complex crystal bonding theory, Zn2+–Sn4+ codoping can increase the relative dielectric constant (εr) by enhancing the average ionicity. The x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman analysis results indicate that an appropriate amount of Zn2+–Sn4+ codoping can help improve the microscopic morphology, maintain the appropriate ratio of divalent iron ions, and reduce the microwave magnetic and electrical losses of YIG ferrites. The optimized microwave properties are as follows. In this work, the elastic wave propagation behavior of the proposed diamond-shaped metastructure is investigated analytically based on the 8 degrees of freedom mass-spring discretized structure and numerically by finite element method (FEM), and an experiment was carried out with the 3D printed specimen. Analytically, the dispersion relation of the metastructure is derived based on Bloch's theorem, and the transmittance of the metastructure with finite periods is investigated. Also, the extreme cases of the lattice structure parameters, such as the stiffness and mass, are investigated to examine different configuration effects. When the inner spring's stiffness tends to infinity or infinitesimal, which is the rigid connection or string connection, it opens a lower boundary of 6.26 Hz with infinitesimal stiffness. Then cases with some specific masses tending to infinity or infinitesimal, representing fixed or missing mass, are discussed, which opens a lower boundary of 19.9 Hz with the largest mass. Also, tuning the FEM model parameters opens lower bandgaps, where a similar trend can be observed from the theoretical and simulation studies. Finally, the frequency response of the finite element solution is validated by conducting a vibration experiment on the 3D printed specimen, and a good agreement can be observed. In the healing of wounds, human-like collagen (hCol) is essential. However, collagen-based composite dressings have poor stability in vivo, which severely limits their current therapeutic potential. Based on the above, we have developed a recombinant fusion protein named hCol-ELP, which consists of hCol and an elastin-like peptide (ELP). Then, we examined the physicochemical and biological properties of hCol-ELP. The results indicated that the stability of the hCol-ELP fusion protein exhibited a more compact and homogeneous lamellar microstructure along with collagen properties, it was found to be significantly superior to the stability of free hCol. The compound hCol-ELP demonstrated a remarkable capacity to induce the proliferation and migration of mouse embryo fibroblast cells (NIH/3T3), as well as enhance collagen synthesis in human skin fibroblasts (HSF) when tested in vitro. In vivo, hCol-ELP demonstrated significant enhancements in healing rate and a reduction in the time required for scab removal, thereby exhibiting a scar-free healing effect. The performance of lateral flow assay (LFA) in diagnosing invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) has not been well demonstrated. To address this, we conducted a meta-analysis assessing the overall accuracy of LFA in diagnosing IPA using bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). Over a systematical search and assessment of bias risk, we calculated the pooled specificity, sensitivity, and area under the receiver operating curve (AUC) to assess the diagnostic performance. Our meta-analysis included 11 studies. The combined total sensitivity and specificity for diagnosing IPA were 0.78 (95% confidence interval (CI): 0.71, 0.83) and 0.87 (95% CI: 0.81, 0.91), respectively. To reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of cohort studies, case-cohort design is a widely used biased-sampling scheme for time-to-event data. In modeling process, we may encounter the situation that actual covariates are not directly observed, but are contaminated with a multiplicative factor which is determined by a smooth unknown function of an observed covariate. In this paper, we study the inference methods for case-cohort data under the additive hazards model with covariate adjustment. We propose to estimate the distorting function by nonparametric regressing the contaminated covariates on the distorting factor. The estimators for the parameters can then be obtained based on the estimated covariates. A series of simulation studies are conducted to assess the finite-sample performance of the proposed estimator. Numerous SLA studies have unveiled the effect of perceived teacher support on students’ learning engagement. However, little is known about how motivation mediates the relationship between perceived teacher support and learning engagement in an online learning environment. To address this gap, this study draws on Self-Determination Theory (SDT) and two SDT-based models to examine the mediating effects of autonomous motivation and controlled motivation on the relationship between perceived teacher support and online learning engagement. Questionnaires were administered among 504 EFL learners in China. Parallel mediation results revealed that autonomous motivation mediated the relationship between perceived teacher support and online learning engagement, while controlled motivation did not. The study validated SDT and two SDT-based models in a Chinese online EFL setting. Background: Pulmonary hypertension (PH), an infrequent disease, is characterized by excessive pulmonary vascular remodeling and proliferation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs). However, its underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. Uncovering its molecular mechanisms will be beneficial to the treatment of PH. Methods: Differently expressed genes (DEGs) in the lung tissues of PH patients were analyzed with a GEO dataset GSE113439. From these DEGs, we focused on TRIM59 which was highly expressed in PH patients. Subsequently, the expression of TRIM59 in the pulmonary arteries of PH patients, lung tissues of PH rat model and PASMCs cultured in a hypoxic condition was verified by quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR), western blot and immunohistochemistry. Furthermore, the role of TRIM59 in PAMSC proliferation and pathological changes in PH rats was assessed via gain-of-function and loss-of-function experiments. In addition, the transcriptional regulation of YAP1/TEAD4 on TRIM59 was confirmed by qPCR, western blot, luciferase reporter assay, ChIP and DNA pull-down. In order to uncover the underlying mechanisms of TRIM59, a protein ubiquitomics and a CoIP- HPLC–MS/MS were companied to identify the direct targets of TRIM59. Results: TRIM59 was highly expressed in the pulmonary arteries of PH patients and lung tissues of PH rats. Over-expression of TRIM59 accelerated the proliferation of PASMCs, while TRIM59 silencing resulted in the opposite results. Moreover, TRIM59 silencing mitigated the injuries in heart and lung and attenuated pulmonary vascular remodeling during PH. In addition, its transcription was positively regulated by YAP1/TEAD4. Then we further explored the underlying mechanisms of TRIM59 and found that TRIM59 overexpression resulted in an altered ubiquitylation of proteins. Accompanied with the results of CoIP- HPLC–MS/MS, 34 proteins were identified as the direct targets of TRIM59. Conclusion: TRIM59 was highly expressed in PH patients and promoted the proliferation of PASMCs and pulmonary vascular remodeling, thus contributing to the pathogenesis of PH. Abstract In this article, we propose a distributed optimization approach to analyzing distributed-stored data based on linear regression with covariates missing at random. To solve distributed statistical learning problems, we construct a communication-efficient surrogate weighted loss function for the global weighted loss function based on inverse probability-weighted and communication-efficient surrogate loss method. Combining the advantages of the surrogate weighted loss function with alternating direction method of multipliers algorithm, a distributed algorithm is developed for the calculation of our proposed estimator. Under some mild assumptions, we establish the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimator. Simulation studies are performed to access the finite-sample performance of our method. Introduction: Blood glucose monitoring was vitally important in diabetic kidney disease (DKD) patients for preventing complications and improving survival rates. The associations between glycemic variability and blood biochemical indicators were underestimated in patients with DKD undergoing hemodialysis. Therefore, we primarily aimed to investigate the glycemic variability and 1-year risk of cardiovascular disease events in diabetic hemodialysis patients. And we secondarily aimed to explore the association between glycemic variability and blood biochemical indicators. Methods: In total, 27 patients were included in the final analysis. Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) was used to evaluate glucose variability for 14 days. Patients were divided into two groups by the cutoff level of time in range (TIR; >70% or ≤70%). The three-point major adverse cardiovascular event (3P MACE) was recorded within 1 year. Results: After 1 year of follow-up, 4 patients in the high-TIR group and 3 patients in the low-TIR group had 3p MACE. Higher low blood glucose index (LBGI) level in diabetic hemodialysis patients increased the risk of 3p MACE outcomes (HR = 2.37, p = 0.018). And the level of albumin was positively associated with LBGI (β = 0.51, p = 0.036). The plasma levels of albumin, glycosylated hemoglobin, and hemoglobin were positively associated with other CGM parameters. The nonstationary roles of regional forcings from alongshore wind stress and sea level pressure (SLP) in driving low‐frequency (interannual‐to‐decadal) sea level variability along the U.S. east coast for the 1959–2020 period are investigated. The role of regional forcings increases with time north of Cape Hatteras particularly during summer when their contributions to the variance of observed summertime coastal sea level anomalies increase by approximately 58%–87% from 1959–1989 to 1990–2020. The enhanced impact of regional forcings in recent decades results from an increase in the Inverted Barometer (IB) effect that act constructively with alongshore wind stress especially during summer, and to a lesser extent for the Gulf of Maine during fall. The summertime North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) is largely responsible for the increased IB effect, owing to the stronger NAO‐associated low SLP anomalies centered around the Mid‐Atlantic Bight in recent decades compared to earlier decades. Using observation and reanalysis data, we investigated the effect of the sea surface temperature anomalies associated with ENSO Modoki from September to October on interannual variations in Antarctic stratospheric ozone from October to November. It was found that the planetary wave anomalies generated by ENSO Modoki in the tropical troposphere propagate to the southern mid- and then high-latitude stratosphere. The planetary wave anomalies have a profound impact on the polar vortex, subsequently affecting the interannual variations in Antarctic stratospheric ozone. Further analysis revealed that the responses of the polar vortex and ozone to ENSO Modoki are mainly modulated by the wave-1 and wave-3 components, and the effect of wave 2 is opposite and offset by those of wave 1 and wave 3. The contribution of the residual waves (after removing waves 1, 2, 3, and the remaining waves) are relatively small. Furthermore, we evaluated the performance of CMIP6 models in simulating the impacts of ENSO Modoki on the southern stratospheric polar vortex and ozone. We selected seven models that include stratospheric processes and stratospheric chemical ozone. We found that all are capable of distinguishing between eastern Pacific ENSO and ENSO Modoki events. However, only GISS-E2-1-G and MPI-ESM-1-2-HAM can simulate the patterns of ozone, circulation, and temperature in the Southern Hemisphere in a manner that closely resembles the reanalysis results. Further analysis indicated that these two models can better simulate the propagation of planetary wave activities in the troposphere forced by ENSO Modoki, whereas the other models produce significantly different results to those obtained from observations. Significance Statement: This study found a significant connection between ENSO Modoki and the interannual variability of Antarctic stratospheric ozone in austral spring and investigated the underlying physical mechanisms in detail. In addition, the performances of CMIP6 models in simulating the impact of ENSO Modoki on the southern stratospheric polar vortex and ozone were evaluated. Abstract Analysis of large volume of data is very complex due to not only the high level of skewness and heteroscedasticity of variance but also the difficulty of data storage. Expectile regression is a common alternative method to analyze heterogeneous data. Distributed storage can reduce effectively the storage burden of a single machine. In this paper, we consider fitting linear expectile regression model to estimate conditional expectile based on large-scale data. We store the data in a distributed manner and construct a gradient-enhanced loss (GEL) function as a proxy for the global loss function. A distributed algorithm is proposed for the optimization of the GEL function. The asymptotic properties of the proposed estimator are established. Simulation studies are conducted to assess the finite-sample performance of our proposed estimator. A periodic mass-spring-truss chain based on a scissor-like structure and inertial amplification is proposed to seek for low-frequency vibration attenuation. The resonant and anti-resonant frequencies of a basic element are obtained analytically to explain the resonance and anti-resonance of the periodic chain. The formation of bandgaps is explored, revealing that the vertical movements of the vertices take the input kinetic energy away from the horizontal movement energy. The cut-off frequencies of three models are derived analytically to compare the effect of the inertia amplification, which can reach more than three times the classical mass-spring chain with a small angle. Also, the effect of stiffness amplification is presented when the spring mounted vertically, unlike the classical inertial amplification systems. Thus, the optimal configuration for low-frequency attenuation is obtained, that is, the spring mounted horizontally and the masses mounted at the upper and lower vertices. The chain with mass on the upper and lower vertices has the lowest cut-off frequency, which is 17.7% lower than that of the classical mass-spring chain. A diatomic chain is studied to find lower and wider bandgaps, where the central frequency is 25% lower than the classical mass-spring diatomic chain. The central frequency and width of the new bandgap can be tunable accordingly. The result shows that small angles or low stiffness ratios result in lower bandgaps. The case-cohort design is used in large cohort study to improve the efficiency and reduce the cost. In modeling process, we meet the situation that some covariates in a regression model are distorted by an unknown function of an observable confounding variable in a multiplicative form. In this paper, we consider fitting covariate-adjusted proportional hazards model for case-cohort studies. We propose to estimate the distorted function by non parametrically regressing the observed covariates on the distorted confounder, and then an estimator for the regression parameter is obtained by using the estimated covariates. Multi-objective fuzzy flexible job-shop scheduling problem (MFFJSSP) is a combination of multi-objective fuzzy scheduling and flexible job shop scheduling, which has higher complexity and is an NP-hard problem. For incompletely automated job shop, MFFJSSP is more important and conforms to the actual production. To solve the MFFJSSP, an effective multi-objective fuzzy scheduling method was proposed. First, a fuzzy number processing method based on fuzzy clustering that is more in line with the actual production was designed to replace the classic triangular fuzzy number. Second, based on the critical path theory, a more efficient method of critical operation block selection and critical operation movement were designed and applied them to the chemotaxis stage of bacterial foraging optimization algorithm to improve the accuracy of optimization and reduce invalid movement. Third, a novel decision tree-based bacterial reproduction method was designed to prevent the algorithm from falling into a local optimal solution. Considering the low-frequency vibration isolation properties of the inertial amplification mechanism (IAM) and the band gap of the periodic structure, this paper is concerned with the dynamic characteristics of the nonlinear inertial amplification mechanism (NIAM), theoretically. This study focused on the influence of nonlinearity on vibration isolation characteristics. Both analytical and numerical methods are adopted. Through the analysis of a basic NIAM element, nonlinear modes and complex phase motions are observed. The bifurcation property shows that complex motions (periodic, quasi-periodic, and chaotic) can be obtained by altering the exciting frequency for some intended goals, especially for vibration reduction. Analysis of the dispersion relation and the vibration transmissibility of the 1D periodic meta-structure composed of multiple NIAMS (NIAMMS) demonstrates its superiority with a decrease of 18.4% in the lower bound of the band gap, compared with a common 1D nonlinear periodic meta-structures. To achieve the CO2 emission control as the urgent task of Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality, the CO2 desorption experiments were performed with a new tri-solvent MEA-EAE(2-(ethylamino)ethanol)-DEEA(N, N-diethylethanolamine) with five solid acid catalysts: blended catalysts of γ-Al2O3/H-ZSM-5 = 2:1, H-Beta (Hβ), H-mordenite, HND-8, and HND-580 as H2SO4 replacement. A series of sets of experiments were performed in a typical recirculation process by means of both heating directly at 363 K and temperature programming method within 303~358 K to evaluate the key parameters: average desorption rate (ADR), heat duty (HD), and desorption factors (DF). After analyses, the 0.5 + 2 + 2 mol/L MEA-EAE-DEEA with catalyst HND-580 possessed the best CO2 desorption act at relatively low amine regeneration temperatures with minimized HD and the biggest DF among the other catalysts. Comparing with other tri-solvents + catalysts studied, the order of DF was MEA-BEA-DEEA + HND-8 > MEA-EAE-DEEA + HND-580 ≈ MEA-EAE-DEEA + HND-8 > MEA-EAE-AMP + HND-8. This combination has its own advantage of big cyclic capacity and wider operation region of CO2 loading range of lean and rich amine solution (αlean~αrich), which is applicable in an industrial amine scrubbing process of a pilot plant in carbon capture. What Is Known? In elderly inpatients, potential inappropriate medication (PIM) is a prominent prescription challenge. However, there is limited information available regarding PIM in patients with central nervous system (CNS) diseases in China. Objective. To evaluate and improve the rational use of drugs for the treatment of CNS diseases in elderly inpatients. Method. A retrospective, cross-sectional study was conducted among elderly inpatients (≥65 years) admitted to the Ninth People's Hospital of Zhengzhou in China from March 2020 to March 2021. PIM was identified based on the 2019 Beers criteria at admission and discharge. The patients recruited in March 2020 were considered a baseline group, which was used as a comparison to evaluate PIM of CNS disease-related drugs in June 2020, September 2020, December 2020, and March 2021. Results. A total of 1500 patients were included in the evaluation. There was a statistically significant difference in the number of average hospitalization days, drug varieties used, and PIM detection (p < 0.05), as determined by X2 test. A total of 332 cases of PIM were identified, and 226 cases were detected for the interaction with CNS disease dementia. Multifactor logistic regression analysis showed that male, length of stay ≥15 days, and >10 medication types were risk factors for the occurrence of PIM (p < 0.05). After clinical supervision and training based on the High-Risk Drug Replacement Program for the Elderly, the rate of irrational medication under medical advice decreased from 34.67% in March 2020 to 14.0% (p < 0.001) in March 2021. There was certain rationality based on the High-Risk Drug Replacement Program for the Elderly, and the rates of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, 5-hydroxylamine/norepinephrine re-intake inhibitor, rotenone, quetiapine, and proton pump inhibitor use were improved. Background: The early diagnosis of sepsis is hampered by the lack of reliable laboratory measures. There is growing evidence that presepsin and Mid-regional pro-adrenomedullin (MR-proADM) are promising biomarkers in the diagnosis of sepsis. This study was conducted to evaluate and compare the diagnostic value of MR-proADM and presepsin in sepsis patients. Methods: We searched Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, China national knowledge infrastructure, and Wanfang up to 22th July, 2022, for studies evaluating the diagnosis performance of presepsin and MR-proADM in adult sepsis patients. Risk of bias was assessed using quadas-2. Pooled sensitivity and specificity were calculated using bivariate meta-analysis. Meta-regression and subgroup analysis were used to find source of heterogeneity. Results: A total of 40 studies were eventually selected for inclusion in this meta-analysis, including 33 for presepsin and seven for MR-proADM. Presepsin had a sensitivity of 0.86 (0.82–0.90), a specificity of 0.79 (0.71–0.85), and an AUC of 0.90 (0.87–0.92). The sensitivity of MR-proADM was 0.84 (0.78–0.88), specificity was 0.86 (0.79–0.91), and AUC was 0.91 (0.88–0.93). The profile of control group, population, and standard reference may be potential sources of heterogeneity. Conclusions: This meta-analysis demonstrated that presepsin and MR-proADM exhibited high accuracy (AUC ≥ 0.90) in the diagnosis of sepsis in adults, with MR-proADM showing significantly higher accuracy than presepsin. Objective. The imaging photoplethysmography (IPPG), which is applied to heart rate measurement, is susceptible to interference caused by illumination variations during photography. To improve the accuracy, robustness, and real-time performance of IPPG, a new method combined with modified ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) and fast independent component analysis (FastICA) was proposed. Approach. On the modified EEMD, to reduce the error caused by the residual white noise of the algorithm, it was characterized by recurrently updating zero-mean white noise for ensemble averaging based on the standard deviation of the input signal. On the modified FastICA, its constructed nonlinear function was superseded by Huber's approximation function to improve the robustness and running speed. Main results. Comparison experiments were conducted between the MAHNOB-HCI database and own collected data. In the hybrid natural light and computer screen light scenario, the mean absolute error (MAE) of heart rate amounted to 0.93 beats per minute and the correlation coefficient r reached 0.85. In the experiments of MAHNOB-HCI database, the MAE amounted to 6.03 beats per minute and the correlation coefficient r reached 0.75. Furthermore, the modified method decreased the running time by approximately ten times compared to the original algorithms. Significance. The technological advancements made in optics and semiconductors (e.g., cameras and laser diodes) working with infrared have brought interest in optical bioimaging back to the forefront of research investigating in vivo medical imaging techniques. The definition of the near-infrared transparency windows has turned optical imaging into more than just a method for topical imaging applications. Moreover, this has focused attention back to tissue fluorescence, emissions by tissues and organs that occur when excited by external illumination sources. Most endogenous fluorophores emit in the blue to green range of the electromagnetic spectrum and the resulting tissue fluorescence can be employed in studies from cells to tissue metabolism or avoided by shifting to the red if seen as unwanted autofluorescence. With the more recent move to infrared, it was discovered that autofluorescence is not limited to the visible but also strongly affects in vivo imaging in the infrared. In this Tutorial, we give an overview on tissue fluorescence and tissue interactions with excitation light as well as their effect on in vivo imaging. Furthermore, potential sources of tissue fluorescence in the near-infrared are identified and we describe approaches for successful biomedical imaging in the biological windows, taking into consideration infrared autofluorescence and summarizing techniques for avoiding it in in vivo imaging experiments. Liraglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist, has been shown to regulate blood sugar and control body weight, but its ability to treat obesity-related nephropathy has been poorly studied. Therefore, this study was designed to observe the characteristics and potential mechanism of liraglutide against obesity-related kidney disease. Thirty-six C57BL/6J male mice were randomly divided into six groups (n = 6 per group). Obesity-related nephropathy was induced in mice by continuous feeding of high-fat diet (HFD) for 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, liraglutide (0.6 mg/kg) and AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) agonists bortezomib (200 μg/kg) were injected for 12 weeks, respectively. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was employed to detect the levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine in serum, as well as urinary protein in urine. Besides, hematoxylin–eosin staining and periodic acid-Schiff staining were used to observe the pathological changes of kidney tissue; immunohistochemistry, western blot, and real-time quantitative PCR to assess the calmodulin-dependent protein kinase kinase beta (CaMKKβ)/AMPK signaling pathway activation. Liraglutide significantly reduced serum lipid loading, improved kidney function, and relieved kidney histopathological damage and glycogen deposition in the mouse model of obesity-related kidney disease induced by HFD. In addition, liraglutide also significantly inhibited the CaMKKβ/AMPK signaling pathway in kidney tissue of HFD-induced mice. However, bortezomib partially reversed the therapeutic effect of liraglutide on HDF-induced nephropathy in mice. Halophytes complete their life cycles in saline environments. The recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor has evolved a specialized salt secretory structure, the salt gland, which excretes Na+ to avoid salt damage. Typical L. bicolor salt glands consist of 16 cells with four fluorescent foci and four secretory pores. Here, we describe a special type of salt gland at the base of the L. bicolor leaf petiole named bracelet salt glands due to their beaded‐bracelet‐like shape of blue auto‐fluorescence. Bracelet salt glands contain more than 16 cells and more than four secretory pores. Leaf disc secretion measurements and non‐invasive micro‐test techniques indicated that bracelet salt glands secrete more salt than normal salt glands, which helps maintain low Na+ levels at the leaf blade to protect the leaf. Cytokinin treatment induced bracelet salt gland differentiation, and the developed ones showed no further differentiation when traced with a living fluorescence microscopy imager, even though new salt gland development and leaf expansion were observed. Transcriptome revealed a NAC transcription factor gene that participates in bracelet salt gland development, as confirmed by its genome editing and overexpression in L. bicolor. Immersion vaccination is dependent on the response of fish mucosa-associated tissues. Herein, javelin goby Synechogobius hasta was immersed with Vibrio vulnificus bacterin to investigate mucosal and humoral immune responses post-vaccination. The results showed that the specific serum antibody titers gradually increased after vaccination and peaked at day 21, while the mucosal antibody titers in the gill, skin, and intestine showed a faster response, with the peak time at days 3, 5, and 7, respectively. For antigen uptake, a rapid and significant enhancement was detected in the mucosa-associated tissues (gill, skin, and intestine) compared with the blood, spleen, kidney, and liver (P < 0.05). Antigen uptake levels in the gills and skin were peaked at 12 h post-immersion and were significantly higher than other tissues (P < 0.05). The histological results showed that the mucous cell numbers in mucosa-associated tissues increased over time, peaked at day 3 post-immunization, and then decreased to the level of the control groups. Additionally, the mucin components in mucosa-associated tissues shifted from neutral mucopolysaccharide to acidic mucopolysaccharide. Integrations of antibody titers, antigen uptake in mucosa-associated tissues, mucous cell number changes, and mucin characteristic changes provided valuable information for research on mucosal immunity in fish. All present findings suggest a major advantage of immersion vaccines to elicit a high level of local immune response, making immersion vaccines an ideal mode of inoculation that induces protective immunity against a variety of pathogens. This study uses a nonparametric causality-in-quantiles approach to investigate the causal relationship between the gold market and geopolitical risks from 4 January 2000, to 17 November 2017, using high-frequency data. The results indicated that geopolitical risks affect volatility rather than returns in the gold market. We also decompose intraday volatility into continuous and discontinuous jump components and find that geopolitical risks have stronger causality with the jump component under bear and normal market conditions. The results show, moreover, that the effects of geopolitical risks on realized volatility are asymmetric. Lastly, we divide the entire sample into four major geopolitical events (i.e. the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Irap invasion, the Russia-Ukraine crisis, and Paris attacks) and find that the effect of these events on the gold market varied by type and scope. A non-monotone time-delayed lattice equation in discrete periodic habitat is concerned. As a fundamental step, a principle eigenvalue problem is introduced, which viewed as a function on a parameter is proved to be strictly convex, piecewise monotone and positive. With the help of such properties, the existence of pulsating waves is obtained by first constructing super and sub solutions, then using Schauder's fixed-point theorem and finally appealing limiting arguments. The spreading speed and its variational characterization by principle eigenvalue is established by comparison argument. This paper describes a leaching-purifying-precipitation process to recover magnesium from serpentine acid-leaching solution and to synthesize high purity Mg(OH)2 and 4MgCO3·Mg(OH)2·4H2O. Fe, Al, and Cr in the leaching solution were removed using the oxidation precipitation method with active MgO as a precipitant and H2O2 as an oxidant. Ni, Co and Mn were removed by Na2S precipitation to obtain a pure MgSO4 solution. Mg2+ ions were first precipitated with NH3·H2O to synthesize Mg(OH)2, followed by NH4HCO3 precipitation to obtain 4MgCO3·Mg(OH)2·4H2O. A small part of MgSO4 coprecipitates with Mg(OH)2 to form MgSO4·5Mg(OH)2·3H2O. The Mg(OH)2 was aged with a diluted NaOH solution to remove the sulfur; the two-stage precipitation percentage of Mg is 96.3%. Mg(OH)2 has a purity of 98.48% with a sulfur content of 0.28%. This process provides a promising method for the high-efficiency recovery of Mg and the large-scale production of the high purity of Mg(OH)2 from the serpentine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this study, Buton rock asphalt (BRA), nano-aerogel (NA), and an antiaging agent (AA) were selected to modify base asphalt to improve its aging resistance. Based on the preliminary performance test results, the optimum dosage of the three modifiers was determined. The asphalt's rheological properties and microscopic properties were tested under different aging methods. Its high- and low-temperature rheological properties were characterized by dynamic shear rheological tests and bending beam rheological tests. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analyzed changes in the asphalt's functional groups before and after aging. The ultraviolet absorption capacity of the asphalt before and after aging was studied by an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer (UV-VIS). The results showed that the optimal dosing of the modifiers was 2% NA, 10% BRA, 0.3% antioxidant 1010, and 0.4% UV-327. Compared with the base asphalt, the composite modified asphalt with BRA, NA, and AA showed improvement in high- and low-temperature performance. The aging index of both the rheological test and the infrared spectroscopy test showed that the composite modified asphalt had the best resistance to aging. Its resistance to UV radiation was higher than that of the base asphalt, and the BRA/NA modified asphalt. Therefore, the addition of BRA and NA effectively improved the asphalt's high- and low-temperature performance. Addition of the antioxidants 1010 and UV-327 effectively improved its aging resistance.
