Bentonite has been purified by suspension method and sodiumed with sodium carbonate, and then modified with polyaniline. Finally, characterized by the polarizing microscope, the X-ray diffractometer(XRD) and Fourier infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), in order to determine the optimal preparation technology of polyaniline/bentonite. And the optimal preparation of PAn/MMT is used to research the adsorption dynamics analysis on phenol. The result shows that the sodium ion enters into the bentonite interlayer through ion exchange; When the dosage of bentonite is 5 g, the dosage of FeCl3·6H2O is 2.7 g, the dosage of aniline is 46.5 g, and the dosage of DBSA is 3.26 g, its layer spacing of modified bentonite is 2.823nm, increaseing 1.600nm than the first, so the hydrophobicity and separation effects of the modified bentonite get greatly improvement. And the dosage of PAn/MMT is 0.1 g and the initial concentration of phenol、P-nitrophenol、o-cresol is 10 mg/L, their adsorption rates reach to 51.50%, 80.56%, 62.93%, more high than the sodium bentonite under the same conditinns. It indicates that the modified bentonite is more suitable for the adsorption of benzene homologs.

To study on the mechanical property for haunch-reinforced seismic connection, the simplified calculation model of haunch connection is introduced. The force analysis of beam with haunch connection is carried through to research value influence on mechanical property of haunch connection; Combining American design specification with Chinese design specification, the design procedure for welded haunch connection is shown, and the differences in design between two countries are summarized. At last, it is studied through beam-column joints case analysis that the influence of the different node parameter on the mechanical property of haunch connection. The results can be got that with the increase of thevalue, the beam moment at column face becomes smaller, which will be better to protect the beam form brittle fracture. But if is larger than one,beam web shear in the haunch region will increase. In the design the reasonable value should be close to one but less than two. When haunch height is invariant, with the increase of haunch length,became smaller; the value and the top and bottom beam flange groove weld stress reduce gradually; The required minimum section area of haunch flange became larger; The axial force of haunch flange and haunch web shear increase gradually. The reasonable haunch length should be as close to the middle of the (0.5 to0.6) times of height beam as possible. Esophageal cancer is mainly divided into squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. Epidemiologically, the former contributes to 90% of worldwide esophageal cancer cases, while adenocarcinoma contributes to two-thirds of cases in developed countries. Although other rare types and collision with multiple histological types of tumors do occur in the esophagus, it is very rare for a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) to collide with an epithelial malignant tumor. To date, only three cases have been reported in the literature. The current study reported a 69-year-old male patient with squamous cell carcinoma and GIST in the middle esophagus. There was no merging of tissue components between these tumors. This study together with a literature review indicates that esophageal collision tumors have been increasingly reported in recent years. Histology and immunohistochemistry are needed to make a differential diagnosis. The exact oncogenic mechanism or the interaction of two independent neoplasms still remains to be determined, and further investigation, such as electron microscopy and genetic analysis, may help to elucidate the pathogenesis of the colliding tumors.

In this paper, five sensitivity factors affecting the eco-environment of Shanghai City, i.e., rivers and lakes, historical relics and forest parks, geological disasters, soil pollution, and land use, were selected, and their weights were determined by analytic hierarchy process. Combining with GIS spatial analysis technique, the sensitivities of these factors were classified into four grades, i.e., highly sensitive, moderately sensitive, low sensitive, and insensitive, and the spatial distribution of the ecological sensitivity of Shanghai City was figured out. There existed a significant spatial differentiation in the ecological sensitivity of the City, and the insensitive, low sensitive, moderately sensitive, and highly sensitive areas occupied 37.07%, 5.94%, 38.16%, and 18.83%, respectively. Some suggestions on the City's zoning protection and construction were proposed. This study could provide scientific references for the City's environmental protection and economic development.

Hexagonal β-NaYF4 co-doped with Yb3+ and Er3+ is directly synthesized under mild conditions using a hydrothermal method. The variation of the ratio of Ln3+ to F− and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) causes the shape of the microcrystal to change from microplate to microcolumn. The NaYF4 powder is mixed with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) to create an up-converter for thin film amorphous silicon solar cells so as to evaluate the effectiveness of the synthesized material as an up-converter. In order to overcome the difficulty in measuring the effectiveness of up-conversion material, a new method of using near infrared illumination to measure the short circuit current densities of solar cells both with and without up-converters is developed. An up-converter with pure hexagonal NaYF4:Yb3+/Er3+ microcrystal produces a high current output. Emission intensity data obtained by photoluminescence suggest that pure hexagonal NaYF4:Yb3+/Er3+ microcrystals are more efficient than nanocrystals when used as up-converting phosphors.

Background Early diagnosis and appropriate antibiotic treatment can significantly reduce mortality of nosocomial bacterial meningitis. However, it is a challenge for clinicians to make an accurate and rapid diagnosis of bacterial meningitis. This study aimed at determining whether combined biomarkers can provide a useful tool for the diagnosis of bacterial meningitis. Methods A retrospective study was carried out. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of decoy receptor 3 (DcR3) and soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (sTREM-1) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results The patients with bacterial meningitis had significantly elevated levels of the above mentioned biomarkers. The two biomarkers were all risk factors with bacterial meningitis. The biomarkers were constructed into a “bioscore”. The discriminative performance of the bioscore was better than that of each biomarker, with an area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) of 0.842 (95% confidence intervals (CI) 0.770–0.914; p< 0.001). Conclusions Combined measurement of CSF DcR3 and sTREM-1 concentrations improved the prediction of nosocomial bacterial meningitis. The combined strategy is of interest and the validation of that improvement needs further studies.
