The convolutional neural network achieves excellent semantic segmentation results in artificially annotated datasets with complex scenes. However, semantic segmentation methods still suffer from several problems such as low use rate of the features, high computational complexity, and being far from practical real-time application, which bring about challenges for the image semantic segmentation. Two factors are very critical to semantic segmentation task: global context and multilevel semantics. However, generating these two factors will always lead to high complexity. In order to solve this, we propose a novel structure, dual attention fusion module (DAFM), by eliminating structural redundancy. Unlike most of the existing algorithms, we combine the attention mechanism with the depth pyramid pool module (DPPM) to extract accurate dense features for pixel labeling rather than complex expansion convolution. Specifically, we introduce a DPPM to execute the spatial pyramid structure in output and combine the global pool method. The DAFM is introduced in each decoder layer. Finally, the low-level features and high-level features are fused to obtain semantic segmentation result. The experiments and visualization results on Cityscapes and CamVid datasets show that, in real-time semantic segmentation, we have achieved a satisfactory balance between accuracy and speed, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. In particular, on a single 1080ti GPU computer, ResNet-18 produces 75.53% MIoU at 70 FPS on Cityscapes and 73.96% MIoU at 109 FPS on CamVid.

[Objectives] This study was conducted to investigate the effects of slow-release nitrogen fertilizer on dry matter accumulation and translocation of summer maze. [Methods] With Zhoudan 9 as the test variety, six different treatment were set up: blank control (CK1), slow-release urea 75 kg/hm² (C1), slow- release urea 150 kg/hm² (C2), slow-release urea 225 kg/hm² (C3), slow-release urea 300 kg/hm² (C4) and ordinary urea 300 kg/hm² (CK2), to study the change law of dry matter accumulation and translocation in summer maize. [Results] Treatment slow-release urea 225 kg/hm² (C4) showed summer maize yield, dry matter translocation between organs, grain contribution rate and proportion of gain dry matter in the full ripe stage higher than other treatments. Considering the weight loss and cost factors, slow-release urea 225 kg/hm² (C3) could be recommended a the fertilizing amount for summer maize. [Conclusions] This study provides theoretical reference for rational selection of fertilizers for reducing fertilizer application and increasing fertilizer efficiency, and for production of summer maize in Shajiang black soil region. NITROGEN fertilizers , *BLACK cotton soil , *CORN , *POTASSIUM fertilizers , *FERTILIZERS , *INDUCTIVE effect - Abstract
Objectives] This study was conducted to verify the field application effect of slow-release nitrogen fertilizer on summer maize in Shajiang black soil area by simultaneous sowing and fertilization, and explore the application scope and nitrogen metabolism mechanism, so as to lay a foundation for fertilizer reduction and efficiency improvement. [Methods] With maize variety Beiqing 340 and sulfur-coated urea as experimental materials, five nitrogen application levels were set, namely, control (CO), slow-release nitrogen 70 kg/hm² (C70), slow-release nitrogen 140 kg/hm² (C140), slow-release nitrogen 210 kg/hm² (C210) and slow-release nitrogen 280 kg/hmc (C280). The phosphorus and potassium fertilizers were all in accordance with the unified standard. [Results] With the application rate of slow-release nitrogen increasing, the nitrogen accumulation in organs increased first and then decreased after tasseling stage of maize. In order to reduce the fertilizing amount and increase efficiency, 210 kg/hm² of slow-release nitrogen fertilizer was the best fertilizing amount for summer maize in Shajiang black soil area. [Conclusions] This study provides reference for fertilizer reduction, efficiency improvement and sustainable development of summer maize in Shajiang black soil area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Mean Shift is a kind of clustering algorithm, which is mostly used for target tracking, image segmentation, etc. In order to solve the problem that image information is not effectively utilized because of unclear traffic video images and random jitter between image sequences, this paper has studied how to achieve stability of traffic video images and proposed an improved Mean Shift algorithm about how to conduct object centroid registration in compensation for the deviations in space localization and, on this basis, how to select kernel window width to eliminate the errors in scale positioning. This algorithm gets the tracking effect and computation analysis of improved Mean Shift from the perspective of applications, removes or relieves the impact motion has on imaging, improves the quality of the video image information obtained, automatically adjusts the size of window according to the scale changes of moving object in the image, and effectively enhances the stability and real time of object tracking. Besides, in the postprocessing stage, the superpixel based on the Mean Shift algorithm is applied to further optimize the segmentation result; it is a popular mode-seeking clustering algorithm, which makes Mean Shift method ideal on low-dimensional applications such as image segmentation. Finally, we show promising results for remote sensing image segmentation.

In recent years, the convolutional neural network (CNN) has made remarkable achievements in semantic segmentation. The method of semantic segmentation has a desirable application prospect. Nowadays, the methods mostly use an encoder-decoder architecture as a way of generating pixel by pixel segmentation prediction. The encoder is for extracting feature maps and decoder for recovering feature map resolution. An improved semantic segmentation method on the basis of the encoder-decoder architecture is proposed. We can get better segmentation accuracy on several hard classes and reduce the computational complexity significantly. This is possible by modifying the backbone and some refining techniques. Finally, after some processing, the framework has achieved good performance in many datasets. In comparison with the traditional architecture, our architecture does not need additional decoding layer and further reuses the encoder weight, thus reducing the complete quantity of parameters needed for processing. In this paper, a modified focal loss function is also put forward, as a replacement for the cross-entropy function to achieve a better treatment of the imbalance problem of the training data. In addition, more context information is added to the decode module as a way of improving the segmentation results. Experiments prove that the presented method can get better segmentation results. As an integral part of a smart city, multimedia information plays an important role. Semantic segmentation is an important basic technology for building a smart city.

[Objective] In this study, the aim was to explore the annual dosage and allocation proportion of nitrogenous fertilizer for Zhoumai 22 in the condition of wheat-maize integration. [Method] The rules of growth and yield variation of Zhoumai 22 under different dosages of nitrogenous fertilizer and different distribution ratios were studied. [Result] With the increase of nitrogenous fertilizer application and distribution rate from maize to wheat, the physiological indexes of Zhoumai 22 population showed an increasing trend, while the yield presented the variation trend of increasing firstly and decreasing then. [Conclusion] Annual amount of nitrogenous fertilizer of 600 kg/hm2 and the distribution ratio of 5:5 in the condition of wheat-maize integration was beneficial to the high yield of the whole year's crops and Zhoumai 22.
