Baryon-to-meson Transition Distribution Amplitudes (TDAs) encoding valuable new information on hadron structure appear as building blocks in the collinear factorized description for several types of hard exclusive reactions. In this paper, we address the possibility of accessing nucleon-to-pion ($\pi N$) TDAs from $\bar{p}p \to e^+e^- \pi^0$ reaction with the future \={P}ANDA detector at the FAIR facility. At high center of mass energy and high invariant mass squared of the lepton pair $q^2$, the amplitude of the signal channel $\bar{p}p \to e^+e^- \pi^0$ admits a QCD factorized description in terms of $\pi N$ TDAs and nucleon Distribution Amplitudes (DAs) in the forward and backward kinematic regimes. Assuming the validity of this factorized description, we perform feasibility studies for measuring $\bar{p}p \to e^+e^- \pi^0$ with the \={P}ANDA detector. Detailed simulations on signal reconstruction efficiency as well as on rejection of the most severe background channel, i.e. $\bar{p}p \to \pi^+\pi^- \pi^0$ were performed for the center of mass energy squared $s = 5$ GeV$^2$ and $s = 10$ GeV$^2$, in the kinematic regions $3.0 < q^2 < 4.3$ GeV$^2$ and $5 < q^2 < 9$ GeV$^2$, respectively, with a neutral pion scattered in the forward or backward cone $| \cos\theta_{\pi^0}| > 0.5 $ in the proton-antiproton center of mass frame. Results of the simulation show that the particle identification capabilities of the \={P}ANDA detector will allow to achieve a background rejection factor of $5\cdot 10^7$ ($1\cdot 10^7$) at low (high) $q^2$ for $s=5$ GeV$^2$, and of $1\cdot 10^8$ ($6\cdot 10^6$) at low (high) $q^2$ for $s=10$ GeV$^2$, while keeping the signal reconstruction efficiency at around $40\%$. At both energies, a clean lepton signal can be reconstructed with the expected statistics corresponding to $2$ fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity. Nuclear Experiment - Abstract
Behavior of some average characteristics of protons are studied in protons and deuterons induced interactions with carbon nuclei at 4.2 A GeV/c. The emitted particles are divided in two groups depending on their polar angle in the lab. frame using half angle technique. Results of the experimental data are compared with Dubna version of cascade model. Analysis of the results show that the incone protons are leading particles., Comment: 7 pages, 1 caption figure

Physics - Instrumentation and Detectors ,High Energy Physics - Experiment - Abstract
This document describes the technical layout and the expected performance of the Straw Tube Tracker (STT), the main tracking detector of the PANDA target spectrometer. The STT encloses a Micro-Vertex-Detector (MVD) for the inner tracking and is followed in beam direction by a set of GEM-stations. The tasks of the STT are the measurement of the particle momentum from the reconstructed trajectory and the measurement of the specific energy-loss for a particle identification. Dedicated simulations with full analysis studies of certain proton-antiproton reactions, identified as being benchmark tests for the whole PANDA scientific program, have been performed to test the STT layout and performance. The results are presented, and the time lines to construct the STT are described., Comment: accepted for publication on EPJA

Nuclear reactions -- Analysis ,Physics - Abstract
Average multiplicity of light nuclei, produced in different interactions at 4.2 AGeV/c is studied as a function of centrality. A change in multiplicity is observed with increase in the mass of projectile. In [.sup.12]CC interactions an unexpected increase in the multiplicity is seen in the most central events. These measurements are compared with the predictions of Cascade and Fritiof models, which fail to account for the experimentally observed effects. In case of 12CC, it is suggested that the inclusion of nuclear coalescence effect can be an explanation for the deviation of experimental measurements from the models' predictions. Key words: collisions, centrality, coalescence, interactions, fragments. The utilization of antimicrobials is essential to battle bacterial ailment. Yet, because of the expanding abuse of antimicrobial medications that are utilized in the treatment of infectious diseases, resistance by bacteria developed. The objective of the investigation is to detect the in vitro antibacterial impact of bay leaf water concentrates utilizing distinctive extraction strategies. The impact of water concentrates of bay leaf ( Laurus noblis) employing maceration and decoction extraction methods against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were tested by “agar well diffusion” technique. The consequences of the investigation demonstrated insignificant differences between techniques for extractions. The study concludes that the in vitro antibacterial effect might be potentiated against test strains by using different methods for extraction and solvent systems, which might be helpful to defeat antimicrobial resistance.

After assessing the readiness of the Lebanese health sector for digitized solution and getting the necessary data, advices, concerns and feedback, a Lebanese model has been proposed that takes all related opinions into account, in addition to the technical issues that could affect the implementation of the solution. The lack of unique identifier for Lebanese citi-zens is a common problem that is hindering any digital solution. This can be overcome by using the national identity number as a unique identifier, and create a health identifier for those who don’t have an ID.

A human peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC)-based assay was developed to identify antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) with the potential to activate a cellular innate immune response outside of an acceptable level. The development of this assay was initiated when ISIS 353512 targeting the mRNA for human C-reactive protein was tested in a phase I clinical trial in which healthy human volunteers unexpectedly experienced increases in interleukin-6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein. This level of immune stimulation was not anticipated following rodent and non-human primate safety studies in which no evidence of exaggerated proinflammatory effects were observed. The IL-6 increase induced by ISIS 353512 was caused by activation of B-cells. The IL-6 induction was inhibited by chloroquine pretreatment of the PBMC and the nature of the ASOs suggested that the response is mediated by a toll like receptor, in all likelihood TLR9. While assessing the inter PBMC donor variability, two class of responders to ISIS 353512 were identified (discriminator and non-discriminators). The discriminator source of PBMC was shown to produce low level of IL-6 after 24 hours in culture in absence of ASO treatment. The PBMC assay using discriminator donors was shown to be reproducible allowing to assess reliably the immune potential of ASOs via comparison to known benchmark ASO controls that were previously shown to be either safe or inflammatory in clinical trials.

Recent studies examining the internationalisation of SMEs in emerging economies have observed that religion affects international market entry, which suggests that specific cultural aspects, such as religion, have not hitherto received enough attention. Hence, this study examines a theme that has seemingly escaped the research agenda: how does religion affect SMEs’ internationalisation? The study draws empirical evidence from 10 manufacturing SMEs located in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Through an embedded approach to case study research, the study queries the role of religion in the development of intra-Muslim internationalisation and contributes to the scant literature that examines the impact of Islamic values on international business activities. The findings show three dimensions of Islamic entrepreneurship, viz. regional rather than international networking orientation, risk aversion and proactiveness. The research grant received from Qatar University & Marubeni Corporation Grants (M-QJRC-2020–1).

Physics ,QC1-999 - Abstract
The Double Hypernuclei are the only systems that allow to study the hyperon-hyperon interaction because the hyperon-hyperon scattering experiments are at present impossible. Experimental data are still very scarce, due to the difficulty of producing the doubly strange hyperon Ξ−, from which a double hypernucleus is formed. The formation of such a hypernucleus proceeds through a multiple-step process and the measurement of the relevant parameters (e.g. energy separation and decay branching ratios) requires high statistics. The PANDA Collaboration planned to exploit the intense beam of the HESR machine at the future facility FAIR to produce Ξ− hyperons from antiproton annihilation in nuclei. A 12C target will be inserted inside the ring: the sizes of the target and the beam spot overlap play a crucial role to avoid serious damage of beam and detectors. The status of the art of the present data, the design of the optimized target and the tests on the prototype will be presented.
