Decentralized blockchain can realize the storage of medical data. Due to high isolation of blockchain from external environments, medical data in inside blockchain of medical institutions can only be shared within institution itself. To address the requester identity authentication and shared data security in cross-chain medical data sharing, a cross- chain medical data sharing scheme based on elliptic curve signcryption was devised in this article. Relay chain was used to realize interactive sharing of medical data. Cross-chain medical data was hierarchically processed for better effect of cross-chain data exchange. Signcryption process was completed by smart contracts to obtain high execution efficiency. Deletion and modification functions of medical data were deployed in smart contracts to solve the frequent updation problem of medical data.

Key message: A major QTL responsible for self-incompatibility was stably identified in two F2 populations. Through fine mapping and qRT-PCR analysis, ARK3 emerged as the most promising candidate gene, playing a pivotal role in regulating self-incompatibility in Brassica oleracea. Self-incompatibility (SI) is a common phenomenon in Brassica oleracea species, which can maintain genetic diversity but will also limit seed production. Although the S locus has been extensively studied in Arabidopsis and some Brassicaceae crops, map-based cloning of self-incompatibility genes has not been conducted in Brassica oleracea, such as cauliflower and broccoli. In the present study, we identified a major co-localized QTL on chromosome C6 that control SI in two F2 populations derived from intervarietal crosses: broccoli × cauliflower (CL_F2) and cauliflower × Chinese kale (CJ_F2). Subsequently, this QTL was narrowed down to 168.5 Kb through fine mapping using 3,429 F2:3 progenies and 12 available KASP markers. Within this 168.5 Kb region, BolC6t39084H, a homologue of Arabidopsis ARK3, could be a candidate gene that plays a key role in regulating SI in B. oleracea species. This finding can pave the way for an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying SI, and will contribute to the seed production of B. oleracea vegetables. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This review examines the technological bottlenecks, potential solutions, and future development directions in the treatment and resource utilization of semi-coking wastewater (SCOW) in China. By comprehensively investigating the semi-coking industry and analyzing wastewater treatment research hotspots and existing projects, this study systematically explores the current status and challenges of each treatment unit, emphasizing the necessity for innovative wastewater treatment technologies that offer high efficiency, engineering feasibility, environmental friendliness, and effective resource recovery. This review highlights prospects and recommendations, including the development of novel extractants for phenol and ammonia recovery, a deeper understanding of biological enhancement mechanisms, exogenous bio-enhancement materials, and the creation of cost-effective advanced oxidation process (AOP)-based combined processes. Additionally, it underscores the potential for repurposing SCOW as a valuable resource through appropriate treatment, whether recycling for production or other applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study explores the spatiotemporal evolution of urban landscapes in 19 Chinese historic water towns in the northern Zhejiang plain. Utilising historical maps and remote sensing images, we derived 2-D morphological patterns from town ground plans in 1918, 1969, 2000, and 2021 to represent urban landscape fractions (buildings, lands, and waters). Morphology-based landscape metrics reveal three distinct periods of urban landscape dynamics over the past century: stabilisation (1918–1969), accelerated growth (1969–2000), and high-speed growth (2000–2021). Our findings present a diminishing role of rivers in shaping land fragments and urban riverscapes, behind which is the weakening conventional water-human relationship during water towns' modern urbanisation. The results offer insights into shifting water town landscape patterns and regional landscape heterogeneity, prompting further considerations of hydrology-oriented urban design and planning to conserve historic urban landscapes.
