Yeast communities during spontaneous fermentation of red and white pitaya were characterised and compared to provide a reference for the isolation of pitaya yeast strains. Using Illumina MiSeq high-throughput sequencing technology, we investigated the composition and diversities of yeast communities during five stages of spontaneous fermentation (1, 3, 5, 7, and 15 d), and the results showed 584,055 and 699,120 valid sequences from red and white pitaya, respectively. The sequences were classified into 86 and 42 operational taxonomic units, then assigned to 69 species in 49 genera (red pitaya) and 37 species in 32 genera (white pitaya). Taxonomic composition and diversity analysis results showed high yeast diversity during the early stage of spontaneous fermentation (RF1) for red pitaya, and during the middle stage (WF5) for white pitaya fermentation. The dominant yeast species was unclassified_o_Saccharomycetales in red pitaya, and Clavispora opuntiae in white pitaya, and these species showed opposite trends during red and white pitaya fermentation. One-way ANOVA showed highly significant differences in unclassified_o_Saccharomycetales (p = 0.01) in red pitaya, and in Clavispora opuntiae (p = 0.001) in white pitaya across the five spontaneous fermentation stages. In addition, phylogenetic analysis revealed that unclassified_o_Saccharomycetales and Clavispora opuntiae were positioned farthest from other yeast species. OBJECTIVE: Previous trials demonstrated the effectiveness of exercise in improving pain and functional impairment in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). However, a bibliometric analysis of top-cited papers on exercise treatment for KOA has not yet been conducted. The aim of the present study was to critically analyze the bibliometric characteristics of the most frequently cited articles on exercise treatment for KOA. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Publications about exercise treatment for KOA from 2000 to 2021 were searched from the Web of Science database. Two authors independently collected 100 top-cited articles, and a consensus was reached to form the final list. The title, journal, author, year of publication, country and institution of origin, total citations, citations in 2021, main topics, research nature, and level of evidence were extracted, and the publication trends in exercise treatment for KOA were evaluated. RESULTS: A total of 1,258 papers were retrieved from the database. According to the final list, clinical research accounted for 81% of the studies, but no statistical difference in the number of citations was found among the four types of articles (p=0.194). Seventy articles had a level of evidence of Ib, and no statistical differences in citations were found per level of evidence (p=0.767). Most of the top-cited articles were published between 2005-2014, and Dr Messier was the prominent writer in this field. CONCLUSIONS: This bibliometric study is the first to identify the most cited papers in exercise treatment for KOA research. We report an unusual pressure-induced superconducting state that coexists with an antiferromagnetic ordering of Eu2+ moments and shows a large upper critical field comparable to the Pauli paramagnetic limit in EuTe2. In concomitant with the emergence of superconductivity with Tc ≈ 3–5 K above Pc ≈ 6 GPa, the antiferromagnetic transition temperature TN(P) experiences a quicker rise with the slope increased dramatically from dTN/dP = 0.85(14) K/GPa for P ≤ Pc to 3.7(2) K/GPa for P ≥ Pc. Moreover, the superconducting state can survive in the spin-flop state with a net ferromagnetic component of the Eu2+ sublattice under moderate magnetic fields μ0H ≥ 2 T. Our findings establish the pressurized EuTe2 as a rare magnetic superconductor possessing an intimated interplay between magnetism and superconductivity. Here, the authors report pressure-induced superconductivity with concomitant enhancement of antiferromagnetic transition in layered EuTe2. The superconductivity is distinctly characterized by the high upper critical fields exceeding the Pauli limit among binary tellurides, a prerequisite of the coexistence of ferromagnetism with superconductivity. We fabricate CrP4 single crystal under high pressure and high temperature at 5 GPa and 1373 K. The comprehensive physical properties including electronic transport, magnetic properties, specific heat, Hall, thermal Seebeck and thermal conductivity are reported here. The resistivity shows a good metallic conductivity and T2.7 law relation in the low temperature, which indicates a weak correlation of electrons. It is interesting to note that CrP4 shows large magnetoresistance (MR) of 500% under T = 2 K and B = 9 T, and the MR does not reach saturation until 9 T. The mechanism of large MR in CrP4 is interpreted as the Fermi surface anisotropy. The Hall measurement shows that there is only one single type of carriers in CrP4 with holes. CrP4 exhibits paramagnetic behavior observed from the magnetic susceptibility measurement. Though CrP4 exhibits high electrical conductivity, unexpected low thermal conductivity is observed at low temperature, which is due to the zigzag chain of CrP6 octahedra along the c-axis. Artificial sweeteners can bind to the sweet taste receptors T1R2/T1R3 on the cell membrane of taste receptor cells, including intestinal enteroendocrine cells, and induce an increase in intracellular Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i). Acute adaptation or a reduction in receptor signalling was observed after prolonged exposure to a taste stimulus in an animal model. However, at the cell level, it remains unclear whether the expression level of T1R2/T1R3 will be changed by pre-exposure to sweetener molecules, and whether the corresponding change in [Ca2+]i induced by the altered expression of sweet taste receptors varies. In the present work, western blotting and qPCR analysis showed that the expression level of T1R2/T1R3 in NCI-H716 cells was upregulated by sucralose stimulation. In the sucralose-treated cells, the accumulation of intracellular Ca2+ in the sweetener pre-treated cells was significantly enhanced as compared to that in cells without sweetener pre-treatment, although the sweet response differed between acesulfame K and sucralose with the same sweetness. Collectively, the increased expression of T1Rs in sweetener pre-incubated cells enhanced the sweet taste signal response, which implies that long-term administration of artificial sweeteners in beverages or foods could alter the sensitivity of taste receptor cells to sweetener molecules. OBJECTIVE: Current evidence of the maternal, perinatal and neonatal outcomes in twin pregnancies among mothers with advanced age is unclear, especially for mothers with age above 40 years. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A systematic search was conducted using the PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases. Studies that were observational in design or analysed retrospective data were considered for inclusion. The included studies had to be conducted in twin pregnancies and should have documented the effect of maternal age on obstetric and/ or neonatal outcomes. Statistical analysis was performed using STATA software. RESULTS: A total of 20 studies were considered for inclusion. All the studies were based on retrospective data. Compared to mothers aged under 40 years, those with advanced age (≥40 years) had increased risk of caesarean delivery [RR 1.20, 95% CI: 1.05, 1.37], gestational hypertension [RR 2.71, 95% CI: 1.72, 4.27], gestational diabetes mellitus [RR 2.03, 95% CI: 1.28, 3.21], preterm birth [RR 2.47, 95% CI: 1.09, 5.80], neonatal admission to intensive care unit [RR 1.78, 95% CI: 1.21, 2.64] and perinatal and/or neonatal mortality [RR 5.76, 95% CI: 1.11, 29.7]. The risk of gestational diabetes mellitus [RR 1.52, 95% CI: 1.21, 1.90] and having caesarean delivery [RR 1.19, 95% CI: 1.10, 1.28] was higher in mothers with ≥35 years of age, compared to those <35 years. There were no significant differences in the risk of adverse neonatal outcomes among the mothers with age ≥35 years. However, in these mothers, the risk of perinatal/ neonatal mortality [RR 0.82, 95% CI: 0.76, 0.88] was comparatively lower than in mothers under 35 years of age. There appeared no significant risk of advanced maternal age for postpartum haemorrhage, hospitalization during pregnancy and premature rupture of membranes. CONCLUSIONS: The increased risk of maternal, neonatal and perinatal outcomes in mothers with advanced age highlights the need for close follow-up, early detection and management of medical complications in twin pregnancies. We report structural and physical properties of the single crystalline. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results show that adopts the trigonal -type structure. Temperature-dependent electrical resistivity measurements indicate an insulating ground state for with activation energies of 40 meV and 0.64 meV for two distinct regions, respectively. Magnetization measurements show no apparent magnetic phase transition under 400 K. Different from other , Sr, and Ba, and , As, and Sb) compounds with the same structure, heat capacity and reveal that has a first-order transition at and the transition temperature shifts to high temperature upon increasing pressure. The emergence of plenty of new Raman modes below the transition, clearly suggests a change in symmetry accompanying the transition. A new Cr-based superconductor is discovered in cubic nitride , which is isostructural with. A cubic crystal structure of was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The superconducting transition temperature Tc from resistivity measurement is 4.6 K, while magnetization and specific heat measurements confirm its bulk property. The upper critical field of Hc2 is about 12.2 T, exceeding the Pauli paramagnetic limit.
