Abstract Background Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) is a clinically critical pathogen that causes severe infection. Due to improper antibiotic administration, the prevalence of CRKP infection has been increasing considerably. In recent years, the utilization of matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) has enabled the identification of bacterial isolates at the families and species level. Moreover, machine learning (ML) classifiers based on MALDI-TOF MS have been recently considered a novel method to detect clinical antimicrobial-resistant pathogens. Methods A total of 2683 isolates (369 CRKP cases and 2314 carbapenem-susceptible Klebsiella pneumoniae [CSKP]) collected in the clinical laboratories of Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH) were included in this study, and 80% of data was split into the training data set that were submitted for the ML model. The remaining 20% of data was used as the independent data set for external validation. In this study, we established an artificial neural network (ANN) model to analyze all potential peaks on mass spectrum simultaneously. Results Our artificial neural network model for detecting CRKP isolates showed the best performance of area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC = 0.91) and of area under precision–recall curve (AUPRC = 0.90). Furthermore, we proposed the top 15 potential biomarkers in probable CRKP isolates at 2480, 4967, 12,362, 12,506, 12,855, 14,790, 15,730, 16,176, 16,218, 16,758, 16,919, 17,091, 18,142, 18,998, and 19,095 Da. Conclusions Compared with the prior MALDI-TOF and machine learning studies of CRKP, the amount of data in our study was more sufficient and allowing us to conduct external validation. With better generalization abilities, our artificial neural network model can serve as a reliable screening tool for CRKP isolates in clinical practice. Integrating our model into the current workflow of clinical laboratories can assist the rapid identification of CRKP before the completion of traditional antimicrobial susceptibility testing. The combination of MADLI-TOF MS and machine learning techniques can support physicians in selecting suitable antibiotics, which has the potential to enhance the patients’ outcomes and lower the prevalence of antimicrobial resistance.

Abstract Background Histomonas meleagridis is an anaerobic, intercellular parasite, which infects gallinaceous birds such as turkeys and chickens. In recent years, the reemergence of Histomoniasis has caused serious economic losses as drugs to treat the disease have been banned. At present, H. meleagridis research focuses on virulence, gene expression analysis, and the innate immunity of the host. However, there are no studies on the differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs) associated with the host inflammatory and immune responses induced by H. meleagridis. In this research, high-throughput sequencing was used to analyze the expression profile of cecum miRNA at 10 and 15 days post-infection (DPI) in chickens infected with Chinese JSYZ-F strain H. meleagridis. Results Compared with the controls, 94 and 127 DEMs were found in cecum of infected chickens at 10 DPI (CE vs CC) and 15 DPI (CEH vs CCH), respectively, of which 60 DEMs were shared at two-time points. Gene Ontology (GO) functional enrichment analysis of the target genes of DEMs indicated that 881 and 1027 GO terms were significantly enriched at 10 and 15 DPI, respectively. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG, www.kegg.jp/kegg/kegg1.html ) pathway enrichment analysis of the target genes of DEMs demonstrated that 5 and 3 KEGG pathways were significantly enriched at 10 and 15 DPI, respectively. For previous uses, the Kanehisa laboratory have happily provided permission. The integrated analysis of miRNA–gene network revealed that the DEMs played important roles in the host inflammatory and immune responses to H. meleagridis infection by dynamically regulating expression levels of inflammation and immune-related cytokines. Conclusion This article not only suggested that host miRNA expression was dynamically altered by H. meleagridis and host but also revealed differences in the regulation of T cell involved in host responses to different times H. meleagridis infection.

IntroductionHistomonas meleagridis can cause histomonosis in poultry. Due to the prohibition of effective drugs, the prevention and treatment of the disease requires new strategies. Questions about its pathogenic mechanisms and virulence factors remain puzzling.MethodsTo address these issues, a tandem mass tag (TMT) comparative proteomic analysis of a virulent strain and its attenuated strain of Chinese chicken-origin was performed.ResultsA total of 3,494 proteins were identified in the experiment, of which 745 proteins were differentially expressed (fold change ≥1.2 or ≤0.83 and p < 0.05), with 192 up-regulated proteins and 553 down-regulated proteins in the virulent strain relative to the attenuated strain.DiscussionSurface protein BspA like, digestive cysteine proteinase, actin, and GH family 25 lysozyme were noted among the proteins up regulated in virulent strains, and these several proteins may be directly related to the pathogenic capacity of the histomonad. Ferredoxin, 60S ribosomal protein L6, 40S ribosomal protein S3, and NADP-dependent malic enzyme which associated with biosynthesis and metabolism were also noted, which have the potential to be new drug targets. The up-regulation of alpha-amylase, ras-like protein 1, ras-like protein 2, and involucrin in attenuated strains helps to understand how it is adapted to the long-term in vitro culture environment. The above results provide some candidate protein-coding genes for further functional verification, which will help to understand the molecular mechanism of pathogenicity and attenuation of H. meleagridis more comprehensively.

This study presents a voltage restoration control (VRC) based on battery energy storage system (BESS), which can be used for both supporting power source and voltage compensation. Voltage restoration is an important task for the power control of microgrid during utility disturbances. One of the disturbances is caused by short circuit on power line of the microgrid, which may lead to voltage sag and even blackout of the microgrid system. To tackle this problem, the recurrent wavelet petri fuzzy neural network (RWPFNN) controller is proposed in this study for the VRC of BESS to provide fast control response to mitigate the transient impact. Moreover, to examine the compliance with the requirements of low voltage ride through (LVRT) of the photovoltaic (PV) plant and investigate the performance of the proposed VRC, the microgrid built in Cimei Island in Penghu Archipelago, Taiwan, is investigated. Furthermore, the PV system, the wind turbine generator (WTG) system and the BESS are connected to the same point of common coupling (PCC) with separated step-up transformers in the microgrid. In addition, the diesel generators provide the main power sources and form the isolated microgrid system. Through the hardware in the loop (HIL) mechanism, which is built using OPAL-RT real-time simulator, with two floating-point digital signal processors (DSPs), the effectiveness of proposed intelligent controllers can be verified and demonstrated.

Biometrics has become an important research issue in recent years, and the use of deep learning neural networks has made it possible to develop more reliable and efficient recognition systems. Palms have been identified as one of the most promising candidates among various biometrics due to their unique features and easy accessibility. However, traditional palm recognition methods involve 3D point clouds, which can be complex and difficult to work with. To mitigate this challenge, this paper proposes two methods which are Multi-View Projection (MVP) and Light Inverted Residual Block (LIRB).The MVP simulates different angles that observers use to observe palms in reality. It transforms 3D point clouds into multiple 2D images and effectively reduces the loss of mapping 3D data to 2D data. Therefore, the MVP can greatly reduce the complexity of the system. In experiments, MVP demonstrated remarkable performance on various famous models, such as VGG or MobileNetv2, with a particular improvement in the performance of smaller models. To further improve the performance of small models, this paper applies LIRB to build a lightweight 2D CNN called Tiny-MobileNet (TMBNet).The TMBNet has only a few convolutional layers but outperforms the 3D baselines PointNet and PointNet++ in FLOPs and accuracy. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively mitigate the challenges of recognizing palms through 3D point clouds of palms. The proposed method not only reduces the complexity of the system but also extends the use of lightweight CNN. These findings have significant implications for developing biometrics and could lead to improvements in various fields, such as access control and security control.

AIM: To explore the effect of artificial tears combined with recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor(rbFGF)on ocular surface function and inflammatory factors in patients with cataract complicated with xerophthalmia.METHODS: A total of 118 cataract patients(118 eyes)with dry eyes treated in our hospital from February 2019 to February 2020 were randomly divided into control group(n=59)and observation group(n=59). The control group was treated with artificial tears before operation and the observation group was treated with artificial tears combined with rbFGF before operation. The clinical symptom score, ocular surface function index [ocular surface disease index(OSDI)questionnaire score, break up time(BUT), schirmer Ⅰ test(SⅠt), fluorescein stain test(FL)], inflammatory factors in tears [interleukin-6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α)] and oxidative stress indexes [malondialdehyde(MDA), lipid peroxide(LPO), superoxide dismutase(SOD), total antioxidant capacity(TAC)] were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The random walking model was used to evaluate the ocular surface function and the level of inflammatory factors in tears of the two groups.RESULTS: Before treatment, there was no significant difference in clinical symptom score, OSDI, BUT, SⅠt, FL, IL-6, TNF-α, MDA, SOD, LPO and TAC between the two groups. Thirty days after treatment, the clinical symptom score, OSDI, FL, TNF-α, IL-6, MDA and LPO levels in two groups were significantly decreased, while the levels of BUT, SⅠt, SOD and TAC were significantly increased. The improvement of clinical symptom score, ocular surface function, inflammatory factors and oxidative stress in the observation group were significantly better than that in the control group.CONCLUSION: Preoperative intervention with artificial tears combined with rbFGF can significantly improve the ocular surface function of cataract patients with xerophthalmia, reduce the level of inflammatory factors in tears, improve the symptoms of xerophthalmia, and provide reference for the clinical treatment of cataract with xerophthalmia.

The ETO-family transcriptional corepressors, including ETO, ETO2, and MTGR1, are all involved in leukemia-causing chromosomal translocations. In every case, an ETO-family corepressor acquires a DNA-binding domain (DBD) to form a typical transcription factor—the DBD binds to DNA, while the ETO moiety manifests transcriptional activity. A directly comparative study of these “homologous” fusion transcription factors may clarify their similarities and differences in regulating transcription and leukemogenesis. Here, we performed a side-by-side comparison between AML1-ETO and ETO2-GLIS2, the most common fusion proteins in M2-and M7-subtypes of acute myeloid leukemia, respectively, by inducible expression of them in U937 leukemia cells. We found that, although AML1-ETO and ETO2-GLIS2 can use their own DBDs to bind DNA, they share a large proportion of genome-wide binding regions dependent on other cooperative transcription factors, including the ETS-, bZIP- and bHLH-family proteins. AML1-ETO acts as either transcriptional repressor or activator, whereas ETO2-GLIS2 mainly acts as activator. The repressor-versus-activator functions of AML1-ETO might be determined by the abundance of cooperative transcription factors/cofactors on the target genes. Importantly, AML1-ETO and ETO2-GLIS2 differentially regulate key transcription factors in myeloid differentiation including PU.1 and C/EBPβ. Consequently, AML1-ETO inhibits, but ETO2-GLIS2 facilitates, myeloid differentiation of U937 cells. This function of ETO2-GLIS2 is reminiscent of a similar effect of MLL-AF9 as previously reported. Taken together, this directly comparative study between AML1-ETO and ETO2-GLIS2 in the same cellular context provides insights into context-dependent transcription regulatory mechanisms that may underlie how these seemingly “homologous” fusion transcription factors exert distinct functions to drive different subtypes of leukemia.

AIM: To study the subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT)and its influencing factors in children with different degree of myopia.METHODS: This is prospective cohort study. Eighty-nine eyes of 45 school-age children aged 5-14 years old were studied, and according to the equivalent sphericity(SE)into different refractive groups. Mild, moderate and high myopia groups had 27, 42 and 20 eyes respectively, apply the enhanced depth scanning mode(EDI-OCT)of an optical coherence tomography(OCT)scanner to measure SFCT to compare choroid thickness differences among myopia groups, to find out the change rule of SFCT between myopia groups, and Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the related influencing factors.RESULTS:SFCT of mild myopia, moderate myopia and high myopia respectively were(253.22±43.56)μm,(223.19±54.93)μm,(185.90±50.99)μm, SFCT differences between different refractive groups were statistically significant(Pr=0.430, -0.499, 0.425, all PPCONCLUSION: The degree of myopia in children was deepened and SFCT became thinner. The degree of myopia in children is related to the family history of myopia.

High-altitude exposure can negatively impact one’s ability to accurately perceive time. This study focuses on Chinese migrants who have traveled to the Tibetan plateau and explores the effects of high-altitude exposure on their time interval judgment abilities based on three separate studies. In Study 1, it was found that exposure to high altitudes negatively impacted the time interval judgment functions of the migrants compared with a low-altitude control group; they exhibited a prolonged response time (540 ms: p = 0.006, 95% CI (−1.70 −0.32)) and reduced accuracy (1080 ms: p = 0.032, 95% CI (0.06 1.26)) in certain behavioral tasks. In Study 2, the results showed that high-altitude exposure and sleepiness had an interactive effect on time interval judgment (1080 ms) (p < 0.05, 95% CI (−0.83 −0.40)). To further verify our interaction hypothesis, in Study 3, we investigated the time interval judgment of interactions between acute high-altitude exposure and sleepiness level. The results revealed that the adaptation effect disappeared and sleepiness significantly exacerbated the negative effects of high-altitude exposure on time interval judgment (p < 0.001, 95% CI (−0.85 −0.34)). This study is the first to examine the effects of high-altitude exposure on time interval judgment processing functions and the effects of sleep-related factors on individual time interval judgment.

Abstract Background The natural incidence of left displacement of abomasum (LDA) in dairy cows was high. The diagnosis of LDA usually relies on characteristic physical exam findings but that transabdominal ultrasound is a useful technique that has been applied to the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases of dairy cows in equivocal cases. Methods Forty dairy cows with LDA were clinically and ultrasonographically examined to determine the position and the echogenic property of the abomasum. The cows were examined ultrasonographically on the left side, from the 9th intercostal space (ICS) to the 12th ICS as well as the ventral left abdomen before and after reposition surgery. Results The vital signs were within normal range in most of the cows and the ‘pinging’ were clearly heard in 37 cows. The abomasal gas cap was visualized from the 9th to 12th ICS in 37 cows and characterized by reverberation artifacts. The abomasal ingesta appeared as homogeneous hypoechoic fluid with scattered hyperechoic foci and were mainly visible in the median region and ventral region of the 9th to 11th ICS in 35 cows. The pyloric canal was detected from the ventral left abdomen wall in 30 cows and appeared as a loop with hypoechogenic wall and echogenic luminal contents in cross section. Conclusion These typical ultrasonograms, including reverberation artifacts, homogenous hypoechoic structures, are important diagnostic feature in ultrasonography of LDA. Furthermore, the circular acoustic image structure of the pyloric canal is an important characteristic of LDA, so it can be used as an important diagnostic basis of LDA.

Tumor-associated macrophages are key regulators of the complex interplay between tumor and tumor microenvironment. M2 Macrophages, one type of tumor-associated macrophages, are involved in prostate cancer growth and progression. Protein kinase C zeta has been shown to suppress prostate cancer cell growth, invasion, and metastasis as a tumor suppressor; however, its role in chemotaxis and activation of tumor-associated macrophages remains unclear. Here, we investigated the role of protein kinase C zeta of prostate cancer cells in regulation of macrophage chemotaxis and M2 phenotype activation. Immunohistochemistry was performed to analyze the expression of protein kinase C zeta and the number of CD206+ M2 macrophages in human prostate tissue. Macrophage chemotaxis and polarization were examined using Transwell migration assays and a co-culture system. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, western blotting, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to detect M2 markers, protein kinase C zeta, interleukin-4, and interleukin-10 expression. We found the expression of protein kinase C zeta increased in prostate cancer tissues, especially in the early stage, and was negatively associated with tumor grade and the number of CD206+ macrophages. Inhibition of protein kinase C zeta expression in prostate cancer cells promoted chemotaxis of peripheral macrophages and acquisition of M2 phenotypic features. These results were further supported by the finding that silencing of endogenous protein kinase C zeta promoted the expression of prostate cancer cell–derived interleukin-4 and interleukin-10. These results suggest that protein kinase C zeta plays an important role in reducing infiltration of tumor-associated macrophages and activation of a pro-tumor M2 phenotype, which may constitute an important mechanism by which protein kinase C zeta represses cancer progression.

AIM: To establish a reference range of retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL)thickness by optical coherence tomography(OCT)in Chinese teenagers aged from 13 to 18 years old, and investigate its relationship with age, eye side, gender, and ethnic group.METHODS: A total of 402 eyes from 201 normal Chinese aged from 13 to 18 years old were recruited for this study. Optic disk with 3.4mm diameter circle in different global average, quadrant and part-time bit retinal nerve fiber layer thickness(RNFLT)was measured by RNFL thickness average analysis program. Their RNFLT at different part-time bit, quadrant and global average RNFLT around the disc were measured by OCT with 3.4mm diameter circle, using the RNFL thickness average analysis program. The data was analyzed with SPSS statistical 19.0. The influences of several factors(such as age, eye side, gender, and ethnic group)on RNFLT were also analyzed.RESULTS: The global average RNFLT at 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 years old was 108.32±9.42μm, 109.23±9.67μm, 110.36±11.14μm, 111.27±10.21μm, 109.23±9.67μm, 112.11±8.83μm respectively. RNFLT of right eyes was 109.82±8.93μm and of left eyes was 110.33±9.89μm. All of the male's average RNFLT was 110.14±10.02μm, and all of the female's average RNFLT was 109.96±11.22μm. The average RNFLT of Han nationality was 110.22±9.31μm and of non-Han nationality was 109.87±8.65μm. The average RNFLT of all was 110.02±9.87μm, the RNFLT at the superior, nasal, inferior and temporal quadrant was 146.56 ±18.88μm, 76.49±13.28μm, 136.64±16.29μm, 82.01±12.55μm respectively. There was no significant difference in gender, eye side, and ethnic group(all PCONCLUSION: This study has established a normal standard reference of RNFLT and its related indexes by OCT in Chinese teenagers aged 13-18 years old. Gender, age, eye side, and ethnic group have no effect on their RNFLT, which has significant difference with adult's data. And for the diagnosis and follow-up of diseases involving in RNFL changes, the adult's data can not be used.

The white-back planthopper (WBPH), Sogatella furcifera, is a major rice pest in China and in some other rice-growing countries of Asia. The extensive use of pesticides has resulted in severe resistance of S. furcifera to variety of chemical insecticides. Sulfoxaflor is a new diamide insecticide that acts on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in insects. The aim of this study was to explore the key genes related to the development of resistance to sulfoxaflor in S. furcifera and to verify their functions. Transcriptomes were compared between white-back planthoppers from a susceptible laboratory strain (Sus-Lab) and Sus-Lab screened with the sublethal LC25 dose of sulfoxaflor for six generations (SF-Sel). Two P450 genes (CYP6FD1 and CYP4FD2) and three transcription factors (NlE78sf, C2H2ZF1 and C2H2ZF3) with upregulated expression verified by qRT-PCR were detected in the Sus-Lab and SF-Sel strains. The functions of CYP6FD1 and CYP4FD2 were analyzed by RNA interference, and the relative normalized expressions of CYP6FD1 and CYP4FD2 in the SF-Sel population were lower than under dsGFP treatment after dsRNA injection. Moreover, the mortality rates of SF-Sel population treated with the LC50 concentration of sulfoxaflor after the injecting of dsRNA targeting CYP6FD1 and CYP4FD2 were significantly higher than in the dsGFP group from 72 h to 96 h (p < 0.05), and mortality in the CYP6FD1 knockdown group was clearly higher than that of the CYP4FD2 knockdown group. The interaction between the tertiary structures of CYP6FD1 and CYP4FD2 and sulfoxaflor was also predicted, and CYP6FD1 showed a stronger metabolic ability to process sulfoxaflor. Therefore, overexpression of CYP6FD1 and CYP4FD2 may be one of the primary factors in the development of sulfoxaflor resistance in S. furcifera.

AIM:To observe the effect of platelet-derived growth factor receptor-α antisense oligonucleotide(PDGFR-α ASODN)on the proliferation of rabbit lens epithelial cells N/N1003A in vitro and investigate its mechanism. METHODS: PDGFR-α ASODN was transfected into N/N1003A cells with LipofectamineTM 2000. The proliferations of the transfected cells were analyzed by MTT assay and the expressions of PDGFR-α mRNA were detected by RT-PCR. Phase microscope and transmission electron microscope were used to observe the changes of cell morphology and ultramicrostructure. Flow cytometry was applied to detect the changes of cell cycle and apoptosis rate.RESULTS: After N/N1003A cells were treated by PDGFR-α ASODN, the proliferations of the cells were significantly inhibited(PPPCONCLUSION: PDGFR-α ASODN can silence PDGFR-α gene expression in rabbit lens epithelial cells, inhibit cell proliferation, and induce cell apoptosis, which provides the experimental basis for the application of PDGFR-α ASODN to prevent the formation of posterior capsular opacification.

AIM: To observe the effect of cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with manual small incision cataract surgery under surface anesthesia in the Primary Hospitals.METHODS: Totally, 372 eyes of 358 cataract cases, in our hospital from January 2010 to March 2013, underwent cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with manual small incision cataract surgery under surface anesthesia. Intraoperative pain, postoperative complications and visual acuity were observed.RESULTS: In the process of surgery, patients without pain and being-cooperated were recorded in 342 eyes(91.9%), that occasionally felt slight pain, but within endure and the operation was completed successfully were recorded in 17 eyes(4.6%). There were 13 eyes quit, 8 eyes(2.2%)of them because of the intolerable pain, the other 5 eyes(1.3%)of the ceaseless movement of the eye. The best corrected visual acuity on the 3rd day after operation of 4.0～4.5 were observed in 57 eyes(15.9%), 4.5～4.8 in 213 eyes(59.3%), above 4.8 in 89 eyes(24.8%).CONCLUSION: The cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with manual small incision cataract surgery under surface anesthesia can avoid corresponding complications, reduce the operation time obviously and ensure better quality of operation. It's suitable to carry out the prevention and treatment of blindness at the Primary Hospitals.

OBJECTIVEThe aim of this study was to compare the effects of hypotensive and normotensive resuscitation with a novel combination of fluids via lactate Ringer's solution (LRS), 6% hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 solution (HES), and 7.5% hypertonic saline solution (HSS) at early stage of uncontrolled hemorrhagic shock (UHS) before hemostasis.METHODSNew Zealand white rabbits (n = 32) underwent UHS by transecting the splenic parenchyma, followed by blood withdrawal via the femoral artery to target mean arterial pressure (MAP) of 40-45 mmHg. Animals were distributed randomly into 4 groups (n = 8): in group Sham, sham operation was performed; in group HS, UHS was untreated; in group HS-HR, UHS was treated by hypotensive resuscitation with HSS and LRS+HES (ratio of 2∶1) to MAP of 50-55 mmHg; in group HS-NR, UHS was treated by normotensive resuscitation with HSS and LRS+HES (ratio of 2∶1) to MAP of 75-80 mmHg. Outcomes of hemodynamics, inflammatory and oxidative response, and other metabolic variables were measured and the histopathological studies of heart, lung and kidney were performed at the end of resusucitation.RESULTSHypotensive resuscitation with the novel combination of fluids for UHS rabbits decreased blood loss, maintained better stabilization of hemodynamics, and resulted in relatively higher hematocrit and platelet count, superior outcomes of blood gas, and lower plasma lactate concentration. Besides, hypotensive resuscitation attenuated the inflammatory and oxidative response significantly in UHS rabbits.CONCLUSIONHypotensive resuscitation with the novel combination of fluids via HSS and LRS+HES (ratio of 2∶1) has an effective treatment at early stage of UHS before hemostasis.

The pyrolysis behaviors of Qingdao vacuum residue (QD-VR) and its SARA (saturates, aromatics, reins, and asphaltenes) fractions were evaluated by thermo-gravimetric with mass spectrometer (TG-MS). The pyrolysis kinetics were determined by Friedman, one-parallel and four-parallel distributed activation energy model (DAEM), respectively. The results indicated that the pyrolysis behavior of QD-VR was similar to that of aromatics. For saturates, the release of H2, CH4, CO, and CO2 occurred in 80–400 °C, while the temperature range for QD-VR and other fractions is 200–800 °C. The average activation energy (Ea) via Friedman method was 179.72 kJ/mol and increased with the conversion ratio. One-parallel Gaussian DAEM was more suitable to describe the pyrolysis process of the single SARA fractions, while four-parallel Gaussian DAEM was more suitable to describe the pyrolysis process of heavy oil. Furthermore, comparing the weighted Ea from one-parallel (227.64 kJ/mol) and four-parallel Gaussian DAEM (204.63 kJ/mol), the results suggested that during pyrolysis process of heavy oil, there was an interaction between the SARA fractions, which could reduce the Ea of heavy oil pyrolysis. Specifically, during heavy oil pyrolysis, resins and asphaltenes could increase the Ea of saturates and aromatics, while saturates and aromatics could decrease the Ea of resins and asphaltenes.
