The article features the dimensions applied by ancient figure casters. It summarizes the findings of eye molding forms for spearheads and axe blades from the Ob-Irtysh interfluve. The initial reference point for marking the negative tip of the spearhead was the toe length, which determined the bushing length as 2 to 1. After removing the contours of the bushing, the master marked the maximum width of the toe on the negative of the casting mold. The conditional points were in the middle of the spearhead length. The central rib (stiffening rib) corresponded to the length of the toe, and the endings of the parallel lateral ribs (teeth) fell on the maximum expansion of the toe. The upper edge of the eye and the upper line of the belt were marked at a distance equal to the outer diameter of the bushing towards the blade. The reconstructed system of relations between the whole and its parts could be defined as the dimensional standard observed by the master. The hook under the toe gave it the necessary structural strength. It prevented the toe from sinking, and the fracture did not load along the line of connection between the toe and the bushing. The new dimensional standard occurred as the position of the fork in the spearhead design changed. The Seima-Turbino axes also had a 2 to 1 ratio. Initially, the edge of the eye was marked at a distance equal to half the length of the vent of the bushing. Then, the eye was designed in the vent direction. In Samus-Kizhirovo moldings, the eye was modeled not in the direction of the vent of the bushing, but in the opposite one, i.e., to the blade. The single-eye design was original, and the two-eye products appeared as a result of its modification that made it possible to spearheads and axes with solid eyes.

Recently, aircraft engine manufacturers have shown increased interest in developing hybrid powerplants, which are a combination of gas turbine engines (GTE) with electric motor-generators. The use of the hybrid powerplant makes it possible to increase the fuel efficiency of an airplane, as well as to create new configurations with improved aerodynamic and thrust characteristics. The fuel efficiency improvement is achieved as a result of optimizing the powerplant operation mode to meet the cruising flight requirements, compensating insufficient power during the takeoff and go-around procedures by activating battery-powered electric motors. The creation of new configurations with improved performance can be ensured due to the synergetic effect of the propeller-airframe interaction. Successful flight tests of the hybrid powerplant prototypes in light aircraft configurations allow us to rely on their possible application in the future regarding the projects of new propeller-driven aircraft. The potential benefits of using new powerplants on local airlines can lead to both fuel savings and carbon emission reduction. Short-term maintaining a safe flight mode is also practical in case of one engine failure when using multiple power sources. The power, generated by an electric generator connected to the running engine, can be used both for the electric motor drive of the tip propellers and for rotating the thrust producer of the failed engine. The paper presents the study results of the critical engine failure effect on the aerodynamic performance of the light transport aircraft model obtained as under available electrical transmission as under non-available one between a running and a failed engine. Experimental studies were carried out in a low-speed wind tunnel T-102 TsAGI. The simulation of the electric transmission operation was carried out by setting the operation mode of two power-plant simulators corresponding to the half value of the load factor of one engine propeller Bo in the take-off mode.

Along with ordinary utilitarian things, Seymа-Turbinо casters made technically advanced products devoid of pragmatic functions. Miniature copies of full-size prestigious products were found in graves and shrines. Probably, communities of metalworkers treated these miniature tools as material symbols of their group identification. Numerous finds made in Petrovka, Sintashta, and Seymа-Turbino archeological sites mean that these metal miniatures were in high demand. Low-rank metal workers might have been buried with miniature samples of less technologically advanced tools. Full-size sophisticated tools, as well as their miniature copies in children's graves, could symbolize individual status. Miniature artistic castings that served as pommels on massive curved knives marked the prestigious status of this type of weapon and symbolically equated it with the Tools of the Creation. The figurines that adorned the Seyma-Turbino weapon not only emphasized its impressive size, but also gave the owners of these perfect products a higher social status. The miniature sculpture, which adorned only some of the Seyma-Turbino metal products, individualized serial samples. Thus, the microtechnics reflected not only the new possibilities of Seyma-Turbino metalworking, but also the regulatory requirements for the design of prestigious metal products. The renewal of the material ambiance was caused by the spread of serial products, the so-called quick things. It reflected the need to strengthen the connection between the owner and the possession, which was inherent to individual single-piece production

In-flight engine failure has always been a hazardous situation in case of a single-engine aircraft associated with losing altitude and making a landing within the available gliding range. In the event of a multi-engine aircraft, this situation improves markedly due to the potential flight continuation. The necessary conditions to continue a flight are available excess thrust, satisfactory aerodynamic performance, and a fixed-wing control. If the half of engine thrust is lost, which adversely affects a rate of climb, the most critical flight modes are the take-off and go-around procedures performed at low altitudes using the engine asymmetric thrust. Ensuring flight safety in these modes requires extensive experimental studies in wind tunnels to simulate the basic flight envelope with an inoperative engine. The aim of studies is the effect of a critical engine failure on the aerodynamiccharacteristics of an aircraft model as well as ensuring the required efficiency of the flight controls to dampen the yaw and roll moments that arise during an asymmetric thrust flight. The complexity of solving the problem is determined by the necessity of recovering from the substantial yaw, roll moments and by a significant decrease in the wing lifting efficiency along with an increase in a drag force which limits a climb rate and aircraft control. This article presents an analysis of the effect of critical engine failure on the aerodynamic characteristics of a light twin-engine transport aircraft model in the wing take-off and landing configurations. The aircraft aerodynamic configuration is made according to the classic pattern with the high-mounted tapered wing and deck-type empennage. The high lift devices comprise a double-slot hinged flap with a fixed deflector. The aircraft is equipped with a loading ramp with a relatively short flat rotatable part of the lower fuselage surface. Experimental studies of the longitudinal and lateral characteristics of the model with installed simulators of a power plant were carried out in TsAGI low-speed wind tunnel T-102. The analysis of engine failure effect on the model aerodynamics was executed in changing the load factor within the range B = 0.3…2. The capabilities to dampen the yaw and roll moments, using the primary flight controls (rudder and ailerons), were determined.

In the design of multi-engine aircraft, one of the important issues is the interaction between the propellers and airframe configuration components, especially in take-off and go-around procedure modes. Modern propeller-driven aircraft concepts in the pulling configuration are characterized by a high disk loading and an increased number of propeller blades used to increase cruising speed and reduce excessive noise. The first problem arising due to high disk loading is the direct impact of forces by operating propellers (thrust, normal force) on fixed-wing stability, especially at angles of attack different from a zero value. The second one involves a high-energy level of the propeller slipstream, having a significant indirect impact on the aircraft’s aerodynamics, stability and controllability. This impact is primarily associated with the interaction of propellers slipstream with other aircraft’s configuration elements. The complexity of taking into account the slipstream-wing interaction and other airframe components stipulated the application of experimental methods to study the problems of propellers – airframe interaction while designing propeller-driven aircraft configurations. This article presents an analysis of the experimental studies results of the operating propellers- airframe interaction for a light twin-engine transport aircraft. The aerodynamic aircraft’s configuration is executed using the conventional pattern of a high-wing and the carrier-on deck type empennage. The high-lift wing device is a fixed-vane doubleslotted flap. The wind-tunnel tests of the model in the cruising, takeoff and landing configurations were carried out in TsAGI lowspeed wind-tunnel T-102. Measurement of forces and moments, acting on the model, was performed by means of an external sixcomponent wind-tunnel balance. Measurement of forces and moments, acting on the propeller, was conducted using strain gauge weighers installed inside the engine nacelles of power plant simulators. The simultaneous combined use of external and internal balances allowed researchers to determine the direct and indirect contribution of operating propellers to the model longitudinal aerodynamic characteristics under variation of loading factor B ranging from 0 to 2.

Abstract We report the results of a search for a new vector boson ( $$ A'$$ A ′ ) decaying into two dark matter particles $$\chi _1 \chi _2$$ χ 1 χ 2 of different mass. The heavier $$\chi _2$$ χ 2 particle subsequently decays to $$\chi _1$$ χ 1 and an off-shell Dark Photon $$ A'^* \rightarrow e^+e^-$$ A ′ ∗ → e + e - . For a sufficiently large mass splitting, this model can explain in terms of new physics the recently confirmed discrepancy observed in the muon anomalous magnetic moment at Fermilab. Remarkably, it also predicts the observed yield of thermal dark matter relic abundance. A detailed Monte-Carlo simulation was used to determine the signal yield and detection efficiency for this channel in the NA64 setup. The results were obtained re-analyzing the previous NA64 searches for an invisible decay $$A'\rightarrow \chi \overline{\chi }$$ A ′ → χ χ ¯ and axion-like or pseudo-scalar particles $$a \rightarrow \gamma \gamma $$ a → γ γ . With this method, we exclude a significant portion of the parameter space justifying the muon g-2 anomaly and being compatible with the observed dark matter relic density for $$A'$$ A ′ masses from 2 $$m_e$$ m e up to 390 MeV and mixing parameter $$\varepsilon $$ ε between $$3\times 10^{-5}$$ 3 × 10 - 5 and $$2\times 10^{-2}$$ 2 × 10 - 2 .

A bronze knife from the burial site near Rostovka village was found in a grave under the skull bones that belonged to a nine–ten-year-old child. Sopka-2/4B Krotovo necropolis has two burials, in which daggers were found under the bones of a child and a man. This ritual might have been associated with the belief that wearing a knife around one’s neck behind one’s back could make the owner invulnerable. Necklaces and belts are known to have a similar magic function. The SeimaTurbino tradition of belt weapons still remains understudied: in fact, no belt weapon has been described for this culture so far, as the belts might have been made of wool. Various weaving techniques are based on the materials of the Sinthashta and Petrovka sites. The newly-discovered images on the Seima-Turbino knives add new information to the known ceremonial practice.

Abstract We report on a measurement of Spin Density Matrix Elements (SDMEs) in hard exclusive $$\omega $$ ω meson muoproduction on the proton at COMPASS using 160 GeV/c polarised $$ \mu ^{+}$$ μ + and $$ \mu ^{-}$$ μ - beams impinging on a liquid hydrogen target. Abstract Results of a study of the $$K^+ \rightarrow \pi ^{0} e^{+} \nu \gamma $$ K + → π 0 e + ν γ decay at OKA setup are presented. More than 32,000 events of this decay are observed. The differential spectra over the photon energy and the photon–electron opening angle in kaon rest frame are presented. The branching ratios, normalized to that of $$K_{e3}$$ K e 3 decay are calculated for different cuts on $$E^*_\gamma $$ E γ ∗ and $$cos\Theta ^{*}_{e\gamma }$$ c o s Θ e γ ∗ . In particular, the branching ratio for $$E^{*}_{\gamma }>30$$ E γ ∗ > 30 MeV and $$\Theta ^{*}_{e \gamma }>20^{\circ }$$ Θ e γ ∗ > 20 ∘ is measured R = $$\frac{Br(K^+ \rightarrow \pi ^{0} e^{+} \nu _{e} \gamma ) }{Br(K^+ \rightarrow \pi ^{0} e^{+} \nu _{e})} $$ B r ( K + → π 0 e + ν e γ ) B r ( K + → π 0 e + ν e ) = = (0.587±0.010(stat.)±0.015(syst.)) $$\times 10^{-2}$$ × 10 - 2 , which is in a good agreement with ChPT $$O(p^{4})$$ O ( p 4 ) calculations.

Abstract Recently, the ATOMKI experiment has reported new evidence for the excess of $$e^+e^-$$ e + e - events with a mass $$\sim $$ ∼ 17 MeV in the nuclear transitions of $$^4$$ 4 He, that they previously observed in measurements with $$^8$$ 8 Be. These observations could be explained by the existence of a new vector $$X17$$ X 17 boson. So far, the search for the decay $$X17 \rightarrow e^+ e^-$$ X 17 → e + e - with the NA64 experiment at the CERN SPS gave negative results. Here, we present a new technique that could be implemented in NA64 aiming to improve the sensitivity and to cover the remaining $$X17$$ X 17 parameter space. If a signal-like event is detected, an unambiguous observation is achieved by reconstructing the invariant mass of the $$X17$$ X 17 decay with the proposed method. To reach this goal an optimization of the $$X17$$ X 17 production target, as well as an efficient and accurate reconstruction of two close decay tracks, is required. A dedicated analysis of the available experimental data making use of the trackers information is presented. This method provides independent confirmation of the NA64 published results [1], validating the tracking procedure. The detailed Monte Carlo study of the proposed setup and the background estimate show that the goal of the proposed search is feasible.

The use of Fowler flaps and slotted slats in sweptwing aircraft is the standard solution to increase wing lift at take off and landing. In the literature this solution is known as a classical option of high-lift system of commercial subsonic aircraft. The results of numerical and experimental studies of some solutions intended to increase the efficiency of classical high-lift devices are presented. The concept of the trailing-edge devices called "the adaptive flap" is considered as a way to improve flap efficiency. The adaptive concept is characterized by the integration of spoiler downward deflection to the Fowler flap function. Integration of the spoiler with a movable flap provided an increase of lift in the linear region due to flaps deflected to a higher angle. The steeper upwash angle at a leading-edge device may be the reason of an early stall of the main wing. To protect the leading edge a slotted Kruger flap with streamline form has been used. Preliminary design of classical and improved high-lift systems included the determination of aerodynamic shapes and the optimized position for the high-lift devices. Aerodynamic analysis and design were carried out using 2D RANS Navier-Stokes method. A comparison of computed results has shown visible aerodynamic advantages of an improved high-lift system for maximum lift coefficient and refining the behavior of stall characteristics at high angles of attack. The results of wind tunnel tests of aircraft model with adaptive flap showed its effectiveness.

Quantitative and qualitative depletion of water resources in Ukraine because of the increase in climate aridity make the problem of integrated surface and ground water management more urgent. The integrated management is based on the water balance of the territories, which automatically takes into account natural and artificial features of water use. The paper presents the results of a long term research aimed at resolving the problems of scientific support of integrated water resources management in Ukraine in the context of climate change. The plans for integrated water management are developed according to the administrative principle allowing optimization of the structure of water consumption and the assessment of available water resources capacity to meet water demand of the required quality without environmental risk for aquatic ecosystems and population. The surface and ground water in Ukraine have spatially homogeneous hydrochemical spectrum, which characterizes the concentration anions and cations in water and the nature of their change at different water exchange rates. Studies of hydrochemical spectrum have shown that its basic parameters are much higher for groundwater than for surface water. The results of the study on the spatial changes in the chemical composition of surface waters in the Dnipro river basin testify to the distinct homogeneity of their hydrochemical spectrum, which gives the reason to limit in practice observations of changes in the chemical composition of water to local points. As the experimental data are accumulated and the geospatial analysis of hydrochemical spectrum is made, the number of such points can be reduced ten times without significant negative impact on the reliability of the final results. It is possible to draw up a water balance with the use of correlation functions, the observance of which will guarantee the rational water resources use, based on their actual available volume and restrictions on the total water inflow, filtration losses, surface runoff (discharges). The water balance in the graphical representation is described by a linear function, which cuts the average of the sum of expendable elements on the ordinate axis over the entire observation period. The tangent of the slope of the graph represents the coefficient of water supply. The scope of this methodological approach's application is limited only by the availability of raw data. There are sufficient data from precipitation observations, water abstraction from all sources in volumes comparable to precipitation and more. It is also desirable to have observations of groundwater level fluctuations and air moisture deficit. The experimental research confirmed a high positive impact on the water resources formation made by forests, shelterbelts and meadows. In the humid zone it is possible to separate natural landscapes of wetlands and floodplains (60% of the territory), in the southern part - transitional landscapes that replace artificial agrolandscapes (40% of the territory). In arid climate conditions, the types of landscapes differ in the area of irrigated lands and the density of shelterbelts. Agrolandscapes are complex natural-technical systems. In most cases, when investigating their impact on the processes of formation and use of water, it is possible to operate a finite number of interconnected parts (subsystems). The purpose of such separation on subsystems is to obtain typical areas for which spatial structure of agricultural landscapes can be experimentally evaluated and the nature of its relationship with the factors of surface water resources formation can be determined. According to the assessment of water balance of rural territories, their water resources potential is equal to the sum of atmospheric precipitation and the volumes of water entering the balance space due to its withdraw for economic needs from surface and ground water bodies. When drawing up water balance for a hydrological year, water resources do not include precipitation, which is almost completely converted to river flow. The available volume of water for use should include the volume of water, the removal of which from natural or artificial circulation will not lead to negative environmental impacts or increase the cost of economic activity and restoration of fresh water bodies. The volume of water available for use is also limited by its qualitative indicators, which in turn are determined by its chemical composition (spectrum).

The results of observations of whistlers in obs. Karymshina (Kamchatka) in the period November-December 2008 are presented. This period was characterized by an excess of f0F2 values and a decrease in hF2 compared to the usual level. This effect was most clearly observed in Irkutsk, however, it also manifested itself in Kamchatka, although it was less pronounced. Such an event is explained [4] by both a change in the composition of the thermosphere and the appearance of the western component of the electric field and the electron concentration gradient at the maximum of disturbances. The latter is also associated with a change in the direction of the northern component of the interplanetary magnetic field [4]. Under normal conditions, the refractive index of VLF waves in daytime conditions is higher than at night [7], and the number of whistlers, on the contrary, is higher at night than during the day. On December 18-19, the appearance of whistling atmospherics in the daytime was observed in Kamchatka in the same amount as at night, about 10 1/min. At the same time, in the periods following the maximum changes in the ionosphere characteristics (23, 24, 27, 29, 30 December), there was a sharp increase in the number of whistles in the daytime to ∼50 1/min. It is possible that in this case the source of whistles were atmospheric discharges initiated in a typhoon, which were observed near the conjugate region in the southern hemisphere. The increase in the number of whistlers is associated with a change in the conditions of capture on the force line L = 2.4.

Abstract A precise measurement of the vector and axial-vector form factors difference $$F_V-F_A$$ FV-FA in the $$K^+\rightarrow {\mu ^+}{\nu _{\mu }}{\gamma }$$ K+→μ+νμγ decay is presented. About 95K events of $$K^+\rightarrow {\mu ^+}{\nu _{\mu }}{\gamma }$$ K+→μ+νμγ are selected in the OKA experiment. The result is $$F_V-F_A=0.134\pm 0.021(stat)\pm 0.027(syst)$$ FV-FA=0.134±0.021(stat)±0.027(syst) . Both errors are smaller than in the previous $$F_V-F_A$$ FV-FA measurements.

Abstract A high statistics data sample of the decays of $$K^+$$ K+ mesons to three charged particles was accumulated by the OKA experiment in 2012 and 2013. This allowed to select a clean sample of about 450 events with $$K^{+}\rightarrow \pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}\pi ^{+}\gamma $$ K+→π+π-π+γ decays with the energy of the photon in the kaon rest frame greater than 30 MeV. The measured branching fraction of the $$K^{+}\rightarrow \pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}\pi ^{+}\gamma $$ K+→π+π-π+γ , with $$E_{\gamma }^{*} > 30\ \hbox {MeV}$$ Eγ∗>30MeV is equal to $$(0.71 \pm 0.05) \times 10^{-5}$$ (0.71±0.05)×10-5 . The measured differential branching fraction over photon energy is compared with the prediction of the chiral perturbation theory to $${\mathcal {O}}(p^{4})$$ O(p4) . A search for an up-down asymmetry of the photon with respect to the hadronic system decay plane is also performed.

A steady growth of aviation transportation (4-5% per year) causes excessive saturation at numerous major airports. As a result, many flights are delayed. One of the ways to deal with this growing problem is to transfer regional propeller aircraft maintenance to suburban airports. It will require both a modernization of local airports and the design of a new generation of regional aircraft with short takeoff and landing (STOL). The aircraft ability to operate from short runways depends not only on wing unit loading and on high-lift capacities but also it is determined by the control surfaces efficiency. The latter often becomes one of the major reasons for limitation of the amount of lift used in STOL configuration. Thus, the successful application of high-lift devices stipulates the necessity for both the efficiency increasing of existing aircraft control surfaces and the development of some alternative form of lateral control not requiring a significant wingspan proportion. The forms of a lateral control, this article considers, include the interceptor, drooped ailerons, ailerons fitted with mini-flap and one of the alternative forms which uses differential flap section deflection. Several mini-flaps with a various chord are also considered to increase the available rudder yawing moment. The efficiency of the above-mentioned control surfaces has been studied in TsAGI low speed wind tunnel on a model of a twin-engine light aircraft with an enhanced level of lifting capacity on take-off and landing configurations. The tests were conducted at a Reynolds number of 1.0×106 and Mach number of 0.15.

At present, there is a great interest in the development of new airfoils for wind turbines and high-lift wings of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The requirements for such airfoils differ from conventional aircraft airfoils, because of structural reasons and extreme operating conditions. So, wind turbine airfoils operate frequently under fully separated flow when stall is used for power regulation at high wind speeds. At the same time design of airfoils for wings UAV poses the problem of availability of high-lift at low Reynolds number. Modern airfoils are to a large extent developed from numerical methods. However, the complex flow conditions such as separation at high angles of attack, laminar separation bubbles and the transition from laminar to turbulent flow are difficult to predict accurately. Hence, testing of airfoils at a two-dimensional condition is an important phase in airfoil design. The development and validation of a 2D testing facility for investigation of single and multi-element airfoils in the wind tunnel Т-102 with open test section are considered in this article. T-102 is a continuous-operation, closed-layout wind tunnel with two reverse channels. The test section has an elliptical cross-section of 4 ×2,33 m and a length of 4 m. Two big flat panels of the L × H=3 ×3,9 m size installed upright on balance frame aligned with the free stream are used for simulating two-dimensional flow in the tunnel test section. The airfoil section in the layout of a rectangular wing is mounted horizontally between flat panels with minimum gaps to ensure 2D flow conditions. The aerodynamic forces and pitch moment acting on the model were measured by wind tunnel balance. To determine boundary corrections for a new test section of wind tunnel, the experimental investigation of three geometrically similar models has been executed. The use of boundary corrections has provided good correlation of the test data of airfoil NACA 6712 with the results obtained from the wind tunnel except for lift and drag coefficient values at high angles of attack.

Abstract Single hadron azimuthal asymmetries of positive and negative hadrons produced in muon semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering off longitudinally polarised deuterons are determined using the 2006 COMPASS data and also combined all deuteron COMPASS data. For each hadron charge, the dependence of the azimuthal asymmetry on the hadron azimuthal angle $$\phi $$ ϕ is obtained by means of a five-parameter fitting function that besides a $$\phi $$ ϕ -independent term includes four modulations predicted by theory: $$\sin \phi $$ sinϕ , $$\sin 2 \phi $$ sin2ϕ , $$\sin 3\phi $$ sin3ϕ and $$\cos \phi $$ cosϕ . The amplitudes of the five terms have been extracted, first, for the hadrons in the whole available kinematic region. In further fits, performed for hadrons from a restricted kinematic region, the $$\phi $$ ϕ -dependence is determined as a function of one of three variables (Bjorken-x, fractional energy of virtual photon taken by the outgoing hadron and hadron transverse momentum), while disregarding the others. Except the $$\phi $$ ϕ -independent term, all the modulation amplitudes are very small, and no clear kinematic dependence could be observed within experimental uncertainties.

Seven years' experience in obtaining hepatic fragments from 104 live related donors (RD) is pooled to perform orthotopic transplantations in patients with terminal stages of chronic and diffuse diseases of the liver. The main principles in the selection of RD are outlined. Surgical techniques and a spectrum of postoperative complications, such as bleeding [n = 1 (0.95%)], herniation [n = 1 (0.95%)], and bile leakage [n = 3 (2.85%)], are described. All RDs operated on were sociomedically rehabilitated entirely.

Abstract A high statistics data sample of the $$K^{+}\rightarrow \mu ^{+}\nu _{\mu }$$ K+→μ+νμ decay was accumulated by the OKA experiment in 2012. The missing mass analysis was performed to search for the decay channel $$K^{+}\rightarrow \mu ^{+}\nu _{H}$$ K+→μ+νH with a hypothetic stable heavy neutrino in the final state. The obtained missing mass spectrum does not show peaks that could be attributed to existence of stable heavy neutrinos in the mass range $$(270< m_{\nu _{H}} < 375)$$ (270

The paper describes the operation features of plasma focus chambers using deuterium–tritium mixture. Handling tritium requires the use of sealed, vacuum-tight plasma focus chambers. In these chambers, there is an accumulation of the impurity gases released from the inside surfaces of the electrodes and the insulator while moving plasma current sheath inside chambers interacting with β-electrons generated due to the decay of tritium. Decay of tritium is also accompanied by the accumulation of helium. Impurities lead to a decreased yield of neutron emission from plasma focus chambers, especially for long term operation. The paper presents an option of absorption type gas generator in the chamber based on porous titanium, which allows to significantly increase the lifetime and shelf life of tritium chambers. It also shows the results of experiments on the comparison of the operation of sealed plasma focus chambers with and without the gas generator.

Abstract Using a novel analysis technique, the gluon polarisation in the nucleon is re-evaluated using the longitudinal double-spin asymmetry measured in the cross section of semi-inclusive single-hadron muoproduction with photon virtuality $$Q^2>1~(\mathrm{GeV}/c)^2$$ Q 2 > 1 ( GeV / c ) 2 . The data were obtained by the COMPASS experiment at CERN using a 160 GeV/c polarised muon beam impinging on a polarised $$^6$$ 6 LiD target. By analysing the full range in hadron transverse momentum $$p_\mathrm{T}$$ p T , the different $$p_\mathrm{T}$$ p T -dependences of the underlying processes are separated using a neural-network approach. In the absence of pQCD calculations at next-to-leading order in the selected kinematic domain, the gluon polarisation $$\Delta g/g$$ Δ g / g is evaluated at leading order in pQCD at a hard scale of $$\mu ^2= \langle Q^2 \rangle = 3 (\mathrm{GeV}/c)^2$$ μ 2 = ⟨ Q 2 ⟩ = 3 ( GeV / c ) 2 . It is determined in three intervals of the nucleon momentum fraction carried by gluons, $$x_\mathrm{g}$$ x g , covering the range $$0.04 \!

Attention is given to relevant issues, associated with the application of process and project approaches to quality management and with international management system standards. The authors present a list of key modern methods, instruments and concepts of quality management in the context of industrial and mineral resources economy. The paper reviews modern trends in the development of quality management, including formation and development of integrated management systems, control over the reproduction of intellectual capital under the conditions of global market and development of innovation economy.
