The renewal of green home appliances is a crucial measure for households to save energy and reduce emissions. However, how online reviews, especially those relate to energy-saving, affect green home appliance purchase behavior (GHAPB) lacks exploration. In this paper, we investigate over 1 million online reviews on about 3,116 types of air conditioner from JD. By applying word2vec, we divide energy-saving related information in the following three types: norm information, environmental health information and price information, and construct dictionaries for each. Then, the effect value of energy-saving information is quantified from perspectives of breadth, depth and intensity through sentiment analysis. The influence of energy-saving information in online reviews on GHAPB is finally analyzed by linear regression and machine learning models. The results show that all energy-saving information has positive impact on GHAPB, and environmental health information is the most important one. In addition, the attributes of online reviews impose a greater influence on GHAPB, comparing with those of products. The in-depth exploration of energy-saving information in online reviews provides targeted recommendations for the manufacturer and the retailer to promote the adoption of green home appliances. Insufficient drug accumulation at tumor sites is one of the key factors leading to treatment failure in breast cancer (BC), and developing a chemotherapeutic drug delivery system that can improve the immune microenvironment to expand the benefits of immunochemotherapy for BC remains a challenge. To increase the efficacy of BC treatment by extending drug retention at the tumor site, we developed a pH-responsive peptide modified with the PHSCN peptide sequence (Pep1) that self-assembles to form spherical DM/Pep1 nanoparticles after encapsulating doxorubicin (DOX) and metformin (MET). In the acidic tumor microenvironment, spherical nanocarriers transform into aggregates with a high aspect ratio, facilitating DOX and MET release for combined chemotherapy and immunomodulation. In cellular experiments, this construct provided prolonged drug retention in BC cells. In a subcutaneous tumor mouse model, the DM/Pep1 nanoparticles exhibited a superior tumor inhibition effect compared to that of free DOX/MET. The DM/Pep1 nanocomplex upregulated CD4, induced calreticulin (CRT) exposure, downregulated PD-L1, and enhanced the MET-mediated antitumor immune response. Visual feedback, which refers to the provision of energy information through visual interfaces to households, has emerged as a crucial approach for promoting energy conservation and addressing climate change. However, existing experimental studies lack a unified standard framework design for visual feedback, and have significant divergences in its effectiveness. Hence, we first propose a design framework for visual feedback on household electricity consumption, including information, time and display. On this basis, this study provides comprehensive meta -analytic evidence on the effectiveness of visual feedback from 156 articles between 1976 and 2024, and finds that visual feedback has a moderate energy-saving effect. Further considering the interaction of 3D influencing factors, we explore the optimal combination of visual feedback using multilevel meta -regression. The results show that information, time and display are all important factors for visual feedback. When designing informational interventions, it is important to choose effective feedback frequency and feedback media. The optimal strategy of 3D visual feedback combination is "self-comparison + monetary incentives + low frequency + digital media". • LLE combined with GC × GC-TOFMS was a suitable approach to detect furans in brandy. • Totally 21 furans were identified, five of which were detected for the first time. • The heat map showed a positive correlation between furan content and aging time. • The absence of three furans had a significant effect on recombinant furans' aroma. Furan compounds actively contribute to the characteristics of brandy. Herein, we have attempted to identify and quantify the furan compounds present in brandy using three different extraction methods combined with comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography and time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Threshold determination and omission experiments were carried out to verify their organoleptic contribution. Liquid-liquid extraction using dichloromethane was found to be the optimal extraction method. A total of 21 furan compounds were identified, in which 5 were detected in brandy for the first time. Our quantitative results showed a positive correlation between the furan compound content and the aging time. Among them, ethyl 5-oxotetrahydro-2-furancarboxylate exhibited a very high odor activity value (1.64 < OAV < 179.53) and smoky aroma. Omission tests showed that the three furan compounds with an OAV > 1 made a significant difference to brandy. Tumour metastasis is one of the major factors leading to poor prognosis as well as lower survival among cancer patients. A number of studies investigating the inhibition of tumour metastasis have been conducted. It is difficult to achieve satisfactory results with surgery alone for distant metastatic tumours, and chemotherapy can boost the healing rate and prognosis of patients. However, the poor therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy drugs due to their low solubility, lack of tumour targeting, instability in vivo, high toxicity and multidrug resistance hinder their application. Immunotherapy is beneficial to the treatment of metastatic cancers, but it also has disadvantages such as adverse reactions and acquired resistance. Fortunately, delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs with nanocarriers can reduce systemic reactions caused by chemotherapeutic agents and inhibit metastasis. This review discusses the underlying mechanisms of metastasis, therapeutic approaches for antitumour metastasis, the advantages of nanodrug delivery systems and their application in reducing metastasis. Summary: Children diagnosed with sickle cell disease (SCD) are at risk of the development of neurobehavioural problems early in life. Specific impairments in executive function skills, including working memory, have been documented in school‐aged children with SCD. These executive skills are known to strongly contribute to early academic skills and preparedness for entering kindergarten. This study examined working memory and school readiness in preschool children with SCD compared to a healthy control group matched for race, sex and parent education. A total of 84 patients diagnosed with SCD (61.9% haemoglobin [Hb]SS/HbSβ0‐thalassaemia) and 168 controls completed testing. The mean (SD) ages of patients and controls at testing were 4.53 (0.38) and 4.44 (0.65) years respectively. The SCD group performed worse than controls on measures of executive function, working memory and school readiness (p < 0.01; Cohen's D range: 0.32–0.39). Measures of working memory were associated with school readiness after accounting for early adaptive development. Multiple linear regression models among patients diagnosed with SCD revealed that college education of the primary caregiver was positively associated with school readiness (p < 0.001) after controlling for sex, genotype, age and early adaptive development. Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is one of the most common pathogens that cause mastitis in dairy cows. The emergence of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) constitutes a serious public health concern due to its ability to colonize and infect humans and animals. In this study, the prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of S. aureus and MRSA were investigated from bulk tank milk (BTM) in Shandong dairy farms. A total of 418 pooled BTM samples from 418 different dairy farms were collected. The prevalence of S. aureus was 28.9% (121/418), while the MRSA prevalence was 0.7% (3/418). The strains exhibited high percentages of resistance to penicillin (74.4%) and erythromycin (58.7%), and 91.7% of the isolates were found to be resistant to at least one antimicrobial agent. Moreover, 55.4% (67/121) of isolates were multidrug-resistant (MDR). The most predominant virulence genes were sed (13.2%, 16/121) and sec (8.3%, 10/121), which encode Staphylococcal enterotoxins (sed and sec). Multilocus sequence typing (MLST) was employed to identify 18 different sequence types (STs). The predominant STs were ST50 (13.2%, 16/121) and ST398 (12.4%, 15/121), while ST97, ST2779, and ST3191 were observed in MRSA isolates. Staphylococcal protein A gene (spa) typing identified spa types t034 (12.4%, 15/121) and t189 (9.9%, 12/121) most frequently among S. aureus isolates, while t002, t267, and t437 were observed in MRSA isolates. The results of this study indicated that S. aureus isolates had a relatively high prevalence rate in BTM, and these isolates harbored multiple virulence and exhibited multiple antimicrobial resistance. • DOX/IpYR achieved high penetration and long-term retention simultaneously. • DOX/IpYR regulated the expression of immune factors and PD-L1. • DOX/IpYR suppressed tumour growth and metastases. Conventional intratumoural drug delivery systems often struggle to achieve both high permeability and long-term retention. Smaller nanoparticles (NPs) readily diffuse into deep tumour regions, but their rapid clearance results in lower accumulation at tumour sites. Furthermore, although immunostimulatory molecules have been introduced for the immunotherapy of tumours, it is crucial to develop drug nanovehicles with immunomodulatory functions. Here, a novel self-assembled amphiphilic peptide, IpYR, self-assembled into spherical NPs after drug loading, which were transformed into nanofibres (NFs) with a high aspect ratio under the induction of alkaline phosphatase (ALP). This drug-loading system effectively prolonged the residence time of the chemotherapeutic drug in tumour tissues and displayed enhanced aggregation at tumour sites in vivo. Furthermore, the transformable peptide NPs not only inhibited tumour growth but also suppressed tumour metastasis. Importantly, the peptide nanovehicles inhibited the proliferation of Treg cells, downregulated the expression of immunosuppressive factors and PD-L1, and simultaneously stimulated the expression of immunogenic factors, effectively alleviating the immunosuppressive microenvironment. In conclusion, this transformable peptide-based nanodelivery system is a concise and promising nanoplatform for maintaining potent drug enrichment and inhibiting immunosuppression in the tumour microenvironment. In regions prone to heavy snowfall, an accurate estimation of snow redistribution on roofs under the action of wind is vital for structural engineers. The content of unbalanced snow loads of flat roofs caused by snow transport is indispensable in current load codes/standards. Hence, the wind tunnel tests were performed to investigate the redistribution of snow on flat roofs, in which high-density silica sand was used. The characteristics of snow redistribution on flat roofs are discussed, and common features are pointed out. The largest snow depth usually occurs near the windward region, and for a large-span flat roof the peak point could also occur in the rear region of the roof. In addition the locations of peak points after snow redistribution and the influence of wind velocity, wind duration and roof span on transport rates and mass fluxes are analyzed in detail. The transport rate increases as wind velocity or roof span increases but it is not a simple proportional relationship with roof span. Moreover, the transport efficiency of particles declines as wind duration becomes longer. Mass flux of the entire roof, which is the transport rate per unit length, asymptotically decreases with the increasing of roof span. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aimed to investigate the lipid profiles of aqueous humor from polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) patients and identify potential biomarkers to increase the understanding of PCV pathomechanism. An ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry based untargeted lipidomic analysis was performed to acquire lipid profiles of aqueous humor of PCV patients and control subjects. Differentially expressed lipids were identified by univariate and multivariate analyses. A receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC) analysis was conducted to confirm the potential of identified lipids as biomarkers. Sixteen PCV patients and twenty-eight control subjects were enrolled in this study. In total, we identified 33 lipid classes and 639 lipid species in aqueous humor using the LipidSearch software. Of them, 50 differential lipids were obtained by combining univariate and multivariate statistical analyses (VIP>1 and P < 0.05), and 19 potential lipid biomarkers were identified by ROC analysis. In addition, significant alterations were found in several metabolic pathways, including glycerophospholipid, glycerolipid, and glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis. This study is the first to systematically characterize the alterations in lipid profiles in aqueous humor of PCV patients and screen for the potential lipid biomarkers for PCV diagnosis and treatment intervention.
