To mitigate environmental damage from mineral aggregate extraction, bio-based materials have garnered research interest as potential replacements for natural mineral aggregates. This work utilized waste wood as filler to prepare lightweight foam concrete with thermal insulation, low-temperature and corrosion resistance properties. The feasibility of using wood aggregate-based foam concrete (WFC) was explored in terms of dry density, softening coefficient, compressive strength, thermal conductivity, chloride ion permeability, freezing resistance, and sulfate attack resistance. Results showed that simultaneous addition of waste wood aggregate (WA) and foam effectively reduced WFC bulk weight and thermal conductivity while enhancing water resistance. However, the porous morphology of WA and foam caused the reduction of mechanical properties. In terms of durability, the addition of WA can increase the energy absorption capacity when WFC is subjected to expansion stress, reduce the damage to the structure, and have an inhibiting effect on the cracking of WFC caused by sulfate attack and freeze-thaw cycles. Nevertheless, WA's high water absorption loosened the matrix in WFC's interfacial transition zone (ITZ), increasing harmful pores and negatively affecting durability. In addition, in order to predict the mechanical properties of WFC and the resistance to sulfate attack, this study established a function model for the relationship between the compressive strength (Maintenance specimens of the same age and Specimen of sulfate attack) and the WA dosage. In conclusion, The use of waste wood for the preparation of WFC is more advantageous and sustainable than conventional foam concrete for the insulation of precast walls and coastal structures.

Recycled aggregate concrete is a promising low carbon material, which need further analysis on the durability. To investigate the influence of sulfate erosion on recycled concrete made with high-belite sulfoaluminate cement (HBCSA), this study utilized compressive strength and microhardness test to evaluate the effect of sulfate on ITZ. Then by using backscattered electron imaging, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrometry, the mechanism for the microstructural changes that occurred before and after sulfate erosion is revealed. Results showed that after 60 days of sulfate erosion, both aggregate-new mortar and new–old mortar interfaces display reduced microhardness and widened transition zones. Specifically, in the C30 group post-erosion, the microhardness values for the aggregate-new mortar interface ranged from 50.3 to 66.9 MPa, while the new–old mortar interface exhibited a range of 47–77 MPa. Besides, the new–old mortar interface exhibit marginally superior sulfate resistance to the aggregate–new mortar interface at the same concrete strength grade. Moreover, sulfate resistance improvs across all interfaces with increasing strength class. For instance, in the aggregate-new mortar interface, the maximum microhardness post-erosion for C40 showed a 51.6 % increase compared to C30. Through microstructure analysis, it is found that after sulfate erosion, the aggregate–new mortar and new–old mortar interfaces of HBCSA recycled concrete are both enriched with abundant ettringite and gypsum, which causes considerable swelling erosive product formation and even cracking. The less formed cracks in new–old mortar interfaces results in the better sulfate resistance. The finding is helpful for the future research on the high sulfate resistant recycled aggregate concrete.

This study used recycled aggregate (RA) and mineral additions to design large-pore sandy recycled concrete (LPSRC) using a design porosity (DP) of 25 %, 20 %, and 15 %. Thus, the related effects of recycled coarse aggregate (RCA), recycled fine aggregate (RFA) and fly ash (FA) on the compressive strength, frost resistance (using slow and fast freezing methods), and sulfate attack properties of LPSRC were systematically studied. Moreover, to reduce the error between the design and theoretical porosity values, the bulk density ratio adjustment method was employed to design the theoretical porosity. The results of binarization analysis demonstrated that the deviation of the actual porosity caused by the sidewall effect was ∼2 %, which should be considered during DP design and performance evaluation. The compressive strength of the LPSRC after 56 curing days increased by 35.9 % on average as the DP was reduced from 25 % to 15 %. In a freeze–thaw cycle test, the slow freezing method was more accurate for evaluating the frost resistance of the LPSRC. Under the same conditions, the mass loss rate of the LPSRC calculated using the slow and fast freezing methods was 3.2 % and 7.62 %, respectively. This distinction is pivotal for establishing reliable frost resistance criteria for LPSRC in cold-weather applications, complementing previous research in the field. In terms of sulfate deterioration resistance, compressive strength corrosion factors decreased with increasing DP. Additionally, damage was mainly concentrated at the contact interface between RCA and the cement matrix, while the aggregate itself showed relatively little damage, suggesting RCA application has a positive effect on improving preparation of the LPSRC. Specifically, as DP increased from 15 % to 25 %, the average reduction in the compressive strength corrosion factors for LPSRC after 30 and 60 times of dry–wet cycle were 9.64 % and 8.37 %, respectively, illustrating a clear correlation between higher DP and reduced sulfate resistance. This study contributed to the LPSRC design and production using RCA, RCF and FA, that positively impacts to the sustainable development of the construction industry and helps to evaluate the effectiveness of RA in macroporous concrete. Moreover, the strategic implementation of design porosity has been shown to optimize the structural integrity and performance of the concrete, achieving a balance between strength and workability, which is crucial for the concrete's durability and its ability to adapt to various environmental conditions.

Peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) frequently occur due to various factors, including mechanical trauma such as accidents or tool-related incidents, as well as complications arising from diseases like tumor resection. These injuries frequently result in persistent numbness, impaired motor and sensory functions, neuropathic pain, or even paralysis, which can impose a significant financial burden on patients due to outcomes that often fall short of expectations. The most frequently employed clinical treatment for PNIs involves either direct sutures of the severed ends or bridging the proximal and distal stumps using autologous nerve grafts. However, autologous nerve transplantation may result in sensory and motor functional loss at the donor site, as well as neuroma formation and scarring. Transplantation of Schwann cells/Schwann cell-like cells has emerged as a promising cellular therapy to reconstruct the microenvironment and facilitate peripheral nerve regeneration. In this review, we summarize the role of Schwann cells and recent advances in Schwann cell therapy in peripheral nerve regeneration. We summarize current techniques used in cell therapy, including cell injection, 3D-printed scaffolds for cell delivery, cell encapsulation techniques, as well as the cell types employed in experiments, experimental models, and research findings. At the end of the paper, we summarize the challenges and advantages of various cells (including ESCs, iPSCs, and BMSCs) in clinical cell therapy. Our goal is to provide the theoretical and experimental basis for future treatments targeting peripheral nerves, highlighting the potential of cell therapy and tissue engineering as invaluable resources for promoting nerve regeneration.

This article presents a LiDAR system that utilizes a Fizeau interferometer and photomultiplier tube array to detect the water Rayleigh–Brillouin spectrum, utilized to obtain underwater temperature and salinity synchronizing measurements based on the Brillouin spectral linewidth and shift. Temperature and salinity measurements were conducted in the laboratory to verify the efficiency of the system. The results demonstrate that the LiDAR system can accurately obtain the Rayleigh–Brillouin spectral backscattering profiles of water. Following linear fitting and reconstruction, the retrieved temperature accuracy is ±0.13 °C and salinity accuracy is ±0.16‰. By effectively leveraging the multiparameter information contained in the Rayleigh–Brillouin spectrum, the system achieved precise temperature and salinity measurements. This study provides a reference for marine remote sensing applications

The burning or accumulation of a large number of corn cobs in the countryside not only pollutes the environment but also takes up land, and it is of great significance to use agricultural solid waste to prepare green ecological construction materials for liveable villages. Therefore, in this study, the agricultural solid waste-corn cob is used as coarse aggregate, the recycled sand as fine aggregate, and industrial solid waste-mineral powder is used as cementitious material to prepare a green low carbon recycled concrete (LCRC). Regarding the alkali exciter concentrations, fine aggregate type and pre-wetting degree of aggregate as key variables, the time-varying laws of mechanical property, thermal insulation property, drying shrinkage property and CO2 emission of LCRC were studied. The results show that LCRC with a higher concentration of alkali exciter has better mechanical and thermal insulation properties, but poorer shrinkage properties. The mechanical property and shrinkage property of LCRC by manufactured sand are more excellent but poor insulation property. 80% pre-wetted LCRC has better mechanical and shrinkage properties, but lower thermal insulation property. The 28 days compressive strength and flexural strength of LCRC can reach up to 11.6 and 1.6 MPa. The bending compression ratio and 90 days shrinkage of LCRC are between 0.07 and 0.18 and 625.9∼977.7 × 10−6, which are comparable to or even better than normal concrete. The thermal conductivity of LCRC ranges from 0.108 to 0.300 W/(m·K) and can be used as a preparation insulation material. Meanwhile, LCRC can reduce carbon emissions by up to 31% than ordinary cement.

In this study, the heat-moisture treatment was used to decrease the glycemic index (GI) value of glutinous rice flour, and then relevant indexes were compared with those of other treatments. Based on the influence of moisture content, temperature and treatment time on amylose content and digestion characteristics of glutinous rice flour, the single factor ranges were determined, and then the Box-Behnken design was used to optimize the heat-moisture treatment process with amylose content (which is significantly negative correlation with GI value) as a crucial index. Finally, the in vitro digestion characteristics and GI value of glutinous rice flour obtained by optimal heat-moisture treatment process (HMT), by ordinary process (WR), and only by enzymatic hydrolysis process (ER) respectively were compared to investigate the influence on GI value and other relevant indexes. The optimum heat-moisture conditions were: The treatment time was 2.3 h, the temperature was 116 ℃, and the moisture content was 20%. Under the optimum heat-moisture treatment conditions, the amylose content was 3.62%±0.01%, and it was confirmed that the average measured value was consistent with the theoretical value (3.62%), indicating that the model could be used to optimize the heat-moisture treatment process of glutinous rice flour. Compared with WR, the content of rapidly digestible starch and hydrolysis index were decreased significantly, and the contents of slow digestible starch and resistant starch were increased obviously, and GI value decreased by 30.1% in HMT. Taken altogether, the glutinous rice flour prepared by this heat-moisture treatment method had a relatively low GI value, which could provide experimental reference for the further development of low GI glutinous rice flour.

In order to efficiently enrich wheat germ polypeptide, microwave combined with metal ions were used to treat wheat germ, and the effects of microwave power, microwave time, ZnSO4 concentration, MnSO4 concentration, and CaCl2 concentration on wheat germ peptide content and protease activity were investigated. The process parameters were optimized by orthogonal experiment on the basis of single factor. The results showed that under the conditions of microwave power 400 W, microwave time 10 s, ZnSO4 concentration 1.0 mmol/L, MnSO4 concentration 1.6 mmol/L and CaCl2 concentration 1.4 mmol/L, the polypeptide content in wheat germ could reach 228.85 mg/g, and the protease activity increased to 2268.40 U/g. Microwave combined with metal ions can significantly promote the enrichment of peptides in wheat germ.

In this study, the conditions for optimizing the determination of succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase (SSADH, EC 1.2.1.79) activity in germinated Tartary buckwheat were investigated. Based on a single-factor test, the effects of temperature, pH, and succinic semialdehyde (SSA) concentration on the enzyme activity of germinated buckwheat SSADH were investigated by using the response surface method, and optimal conditions were used to study the enzymatic properties of germinated buckwheat SSADH. The results revealed that the optimum conditions for determining SSADH enzyme activity are as follows: temperature—30.8 °C, pH—8.7, and SSA concentration—0.3 mmol/L. Under these conditions, SSADH enzyme activity was measured as 346 ± 9.61 nmol/min. Furthermore, the thermal stability of SSADH was found to be superior at 25 °C, and its pH stability remained comparable at pH levels of 7.6, 8.1, and 8.6 in germinated Tartary buckwheat samples; however, a decline in stability was observed at pH 9.1. Cu2+, Co2+, and Ni2+ exhibited an activating effect on SSADH activity in germinating Tartary buckwheat, with Cu2+ having the greatest influence (p < 0.05), which was 1.21 times higher than that of the control group. Zn2+, Mn2+, and Na+ inhibited SSADH activity in germinating Tartary buckwheat, with Zn2+ showing the strongest inhibitory effect (p < 0.05). On the other hand, the Km and Vmax of SSADH for SSA in germinated Tartary buckwheat were 0.24 mmol/L and 583.24 nmol/min. The Km and Vmax of SSADH for NAD+ in germinated Tartary buckwheat were 0.64 mmol/L and 454.55 nmol/min.

The long-term storage of rice will inevitably be involved in the deterioration of edible quality, and aged rice poses a great threat to food safety and human health. The acid value can be employed as a sensitive index for the determination of rice quality and freshness. In this study, near-infrared spectra of three kinds of rice (Chinese Daohuaxiang, southern japonica rice, and late japonica rice) mixed with different proportions of aged rice were collected. The partial least squares regression (PLSR) model with different preprocessing was constructed to identify the aged rice adulteration. Meanwhile, a competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) algorithm was used to extract the optimization model of characteristic variables. The constructed CARS-PLSR model method could not only reduce greatly the number of characteristic variables required by the spectrum but also improve the identification accuracy of three kinds of aged-rice adulteration. As above, this study proposed a rapid, simple, and accurate detection method for aged-rice adulteration, providing new clues and alternatives for the quality control of commercial rice.

Ochratoxin A (OTA) is the most common mycotoxin and can be found in wheat, corn and other grain products. As OTA pollution in these grain products is gaining prominence as a global issue, the demand to develop OTA detection technology has attracted increasing attention. Recently, a variety of label-free fluorescence biosensors based on aptamer have been established. However, the binding mechanisms of some aptasensors are still unclear. Herein, a label-free fluorescent aptasensor employing Thioflavin T (ThT) as donor for OTA detection was constructed based on the G-quadruplex aptamer of the OTA aptamer itself. The key binding region of aptamer was revealed by using molecular docking technology. In the absence of the OTA target, ThT fluorescent dye binds with the OTA aptamer to form an aptamer/ThT complex, and results in the fluorescence intensity being obviously enhanced. In the presence of OTA, the OTA aptamer binds to OTA because of its high affinity and specificity to form an aptamer/OTA complex, and the ThT fluorescent dye is released from the OTA aptamer into the solution. Therefore, the fluorescence intensity is significantly decreased. Molecular docking results revealed that OTA is binding to the pocket-like structure and surrounded by the A29-T3 base pair and C4, T30, G6 and G7 of the aptamer. Meanwhile, this aptasensor shows good selectivity, sensitivity and an excellent recovery rate of the wheat flour spiked experiment.

The beneficial effects of green tea polyphenols (GTPs) on D-galactose (D-Gal)-induced liver aging in male Kunming mice were investigated. For this purpose, 40 adult male Kunming mice were divided into four groups. All animals, except for the normal control and GTPs control, were intraperitoneally injected with D-galactose (D-Gal; 300 mg/kg/day for 5 days a week) for 12 consecutive weeks, and the D-Gal-treated mice were allowed free access to 0.05% GTPs (w/w) diet or normal diet for 12 consecutive weeks. Results showed that GTP administration improved the liver index and decreased transaminases and total bilirubin levels. Furthermore, GTPs significantly increased hepatic glutathione and total antioxidant levels, and the activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione S-transferase (GST). Furthermore, GTPs downregulated 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, advanced glycation end products, and hepatic oxidative stress markers, such as malondialdehyde and nitric oxide. Additionally, GTPs abrogated dysregulation in hepatic Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and its downstream target gene expression [heme oxygenase 1, NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1, and GST] and inhibited tumor necrosis factor-α, transforming growth factor-β, and interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-6 in the liver of treated mice. Finally, GTPs effectively attenuated D-Gal-induced edema, vacuole formation, and inflammatory cell infiltration. In conclusion, GTPs showed antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in D-Gal-induced aging mice, and may be considered a natural alternative to the effects of hepatic aging.

The protein Klotho can significantly delay aging, so it has attracted widespread attention. Abnormal downregulation of Klotho has been detected in several aging-related diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, kidney injury, cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), vascular disease, muscular dystrophy and diabetes. Conversely, many exogenous and endogenous factors, several drugs, lifestyle changes and genetic manipulations were reported to exert therapeutic effects through increasing Klotho expression. In recent years, Klotho has been identified as a potential autophagy regulator. How Klotho may contribute to reversing the effects of aging and disease became clearer when it was linked to autophagy, the process in which eukaryotic cells clear away dysfunctional proteins and damaged organelles: the abovementioned diseases involve abnormal autophagy. Interestingly, growing evidence indicates that Klotho plays a dual role as inducer or inhibitor of autophagy in different physiological or pathological conditions through its influence on IGF-1/PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, Beclin 1 expression and activity, as well as aldosterone level, which can help restore autophagy to beneficial levels. The present review examines the role of Klotho in regulating autophagy in Alzheimer’s disease, kidney injury, cancer, COPD, vascular disease, muscular dystrophy and diabetes. Targeting Klotho may provide a new perspective for preventing and treating aging-related diseases.

Although the energy structure has been gradually enriched in recent years, China, as the world’s largest producer and consumer of coal, still accounts for more than 50% of resources. Therefore, in this paper, the high carbon fly ash raw ash (HCFARA) was mechanically activated, and the flotation was treated to obtain decarburized fly ash (DFA) with a loss on ignition of 1.18%, water demand ratio of 101% and strength activity coefficient of 74.5%. With the exception of for water demand ratio, the rest meet the national requirements for the use of Class I fly ash. The foam concrete was prepared by partially replacing cement with decarburized fly ash in different proportions and at different water-to-cement ratios (0.3, 0.4 and 0.5) in order to study its dry density, porosity, compressive strength and thermal conductivity. The results show that the porosity of foam concrete grows with the increase in water-to-cement ratio and fly ash replacement rate. In addition, the dry density and thermal conductivity of the prepared foam concrete can meet the requirements of A05 grade foam concrete (Density less than 500 kg/m3, thermal conductivity less than 0.12 W/(m·k)). The compressive strength can meet the requirements of C0.3 grade foam concrete (Minimum use standard).

The CO2 emissions from the cement industry and the production of waste wood chips are increasing with the rapid growth of the construction industry. In order to develop a green environmental protection building material with low thermal conductivity and up to standard mechanical properties, in this study, pine waste wood chips were mixed into cement-based materials as fine aggregate, and three different kinds of cementitious binders were used, including sulfur aluminate cement (SAC), ordinary Portland cement (OPC), and granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS), to prepare a recycled light cementitious composite material. The mechanical, thermal conductivity, shrinkage, water absorption, and pore structure of a wood chip light cementitious composite material were studied by changing the Ch/B (the mass ratio of wood chip to binder). The results showed that the strength, dry density, and thermal conductivity of the specimens decreased significantly with the increase in the Ch/B, while the shrinkage, water absorption, and pore size increased with the increase in the Ch/B. By comparing three different kinds of cementitious binders, the dry density of the material prepared with OPC was 942 kg/m3, the compressive strength of the material prepared with SAC was 13.5 MPa, and the thermal conductivity of the material prepared with slag was the lowest at 0.15 W/m/K. From the perspective of low-cost and low-carbon emissions, it was determined that the best way to prepare a light cementitious composite with waste wood chips is to use granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) as the cementitious binder.

Poor mechanical properties and durability of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) hinder its application in the construction field. In this study, pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate was used as the internal curing material for prepared RAC with low water-to-binder ratio (W/B), aiming to improve the mechanical properties and durability. The results show that the workability decreases with increasing contents of pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate. The variation in compressive strength of RAC with different contents of pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate is obvious within 28 d. After 28 d, the effect of internal curing of pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate starts to occur, causing a sustained increase in compressive strength. The sealed concrete with 50% and 75% pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate contents presents the highest compressive strength and better internal curing effect. The pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate decreases the relative humidity inside the concrete and effectively inhibits the development of shrinkage in the early stages. The RAC with pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate presents little effect on the drying shrinkage. Additionally, the electric flux of RAC cured for 28 d increases from 561C to 1001C, which presents good resistance to chloride permeation. Microscopic tests indicate that the incorporation of pre-wetted recycled coarse aggregate is beneficial to the improvements of internal structure of RAC.

Due to the large amount of old hardened cement mortar attached to the surface of aggregate and the internal micro-cracks formed by the crushing process, the water absorption, apparent density, and crushing index of recycled coarse aggregate are still far behind those of natural coarse aggregate. Based on the performance requirements of different qualities of recycled coarse aggregate, the performance differences of recycled coarse aggregate before and after physical strengthening were observed. The results showed that the physical strengthening technique can remove old hardened mortar and micro powder attached to the surface of recycled coarse aggregate by mechanical action, which can effectively improve the quality of recycled coarse aggregate. The optimum calcination temperature of the recycled coarse aggregate was 400 °C and the grinding time was 20 min. The contents of the attached mortar in recycled coarse aggregates of Class I, II, and III were 7.9%, 22.8%, and 39.7%, respectively. The quality of recycled coarse aggregate was closely related to the amount of mortar attached to the surface. The higher the mortar content, the higher the water absorption, lower apparent density, and higher crushing index of the recycled coarse aggregate.

Green recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) with high strength and low shrinkage is prepared based on recycled coarse aggregate produced by the particle-shaping and aggregate-strengthening method and green low-carbon new cement. This not only effectively alleviates the shortage of natural resources, but also improves the performance of recycled aggregate concrete, which is of great significance for multi-channel resource utilization of construction waste. In this study, three kinds of recycled coarse aggregates (RCA), including simple crushing recycled coarse aggregate (JD-RCA), one-time particle-shaping recycled coarse aggregate (KL-RCA) and two-time particle-shaping recycled coarse aggregate (EKL-RCA), were prepared from the preparation technology of recycled aggregate, and high belite sulphoaluminate cement with excellent performance was used. The effects of aggregate quality, aggregate replacement ratio, and cementitious material content on mechanical properties and shrinkage properties of green recycled aggregate concrete were studied in comparison with ordinary Portland cement-based recycled aggregate concrete. The testing results show that the particle-shaping method can effectively improve the aggregate quality. The compressive strength and dry shrinkage performance of recycled aggregate concrete made of particle-shaped aggregate are only a little different from those of natural aggregate concrete, and even the performance of recycled aggregate is better than that of natural aggregate concrete under the condition of a low replacement ratio of recycled aggregate. In addition, high belite sulphoaluminate cement-based recycled aggregate concrete (HBRAC) not only has early strength and rapid hardening, but also has excellent drying shrinkage resistance, and its shrinkage rate can be reduced to more than 75% compared with ordinary Portland cement-based recycled aggregate concrete (OPRAC).

In this paper, the properties of sulphoaluminate based recycled concrete, with high workability and low and medium strength, prepared by recycled powder (RP), recycled coarse aggregate (RCA), and high belite sulphoaluminate cement (HBSAC), were systematically studied. Under the condition of a water binder ratio of 0.45, sulphoaluminate based recycled concrete, with different mix proportions, was prepared by replacing sulphoaluminate cement with RP and natural coarse aggregate (NCA) with RCA. The workability, mechanical properties, durability, and hydration products of the prepared concrete were analyzed. The results showed that when RP and RCA were used together, the workability of recycled concrete could fully meet the pumping demand in actual construction. When the mass replacement rate of RP was less than 30% and that of RCA was less than 20%, the strength of recycled concrete could completely reach the design strength grade, while those that did not reach the design strength grade could reach the next grade. The durability performance was also good.

The high belite sulfoaluminate cement (HBSAC) containing CaSO4, and without CaSO4, based on solid wastes were successfully prepared from petroleum coke desulfurization slag (PCDS), fly ash (FA), carbide slag (CS), and bauxite (BX). The mineral composition of clinkers after different calcination history were investigated by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD)/Quantitative X-ray diffraction (QXRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), so as to determine the calcination temperatures. The difference between residual CaSO4 and dihydrate gypsum (DG) and the optimal content of residual CaSO4 were discussed by studying the properties of HBSAC. The results revealed that the residual CaSO4 in clinker could replace DG to participate in hydration, and showed some advantages in strength and early hydration heat, but meanwhile increased the water requirement of normal consistency and hydration heat at 72 h, and prolonged the setting time. With the increase of residual CaSO4 content in clinker, the lower limit temperature of clinker formation gradually increased, and the crystal size of clinker minerals became finer and the boundary between crystals became more blurred. However, the optimal calcination temperature (1300 °C) of HBSAC clinker did not change. Considering the effect of residual CaSO4 content on the water requirement of normal consistency, setting time, hydration heat, strength, and hydration products, the optimal design content of residual CaSO4 in HBSAC clinker based on solid wastes, such as PCDS and FA, was 15%.

In this study, a variety of industrial solid wastes, including petroleum coke desulfurization slag, fly ash and carbide slag with natural resource bauxite, were used as raw materials to prepare high belite suphoaluminate cement, which contains a certain CaSO4 content without adding natural gypsum to the clinker. The sintering temperature, mineral composition, and the physical and mechanical properties of the cement clinkers were investigated. The techniques adopted included a comprehensive thermal analysis (DSC-TG), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results revealed that it is completely feasible to prepare high belite sulphoaluminate cement with the various industrial solid wastes mentioned above and the utilization rate of the solid wastes is up to 80%. The sintering temperature ranges from 1225 °C to 1350 °C, and the optimal sintering temperature is approximately 1300 °C. The clinkers prepared at 1300 °C set and harden quickly and have a slightly higher water requirement of normal consistency. The mechanical strength is greatly affected by the CaSO4 and 3CaO·3Al2O3·CaSO4 contents and the most reasonable CaSO4 content is 15%.

To explore the optimum condition of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) accumulation in germinated tartary buckwheat, effects of some factors including aeration treatment, physiological indexes, air flow rate, culture temperature, and pH value of cultivating solution under hypoxia on GABA in germinated tartary buckwheat were investigated. The results showed that the dark cultures with distilled water at 30°C, 2 days, and aeration stress with 1.0 L/min air flow rate at 30°C were optimal for GABA accumulation. Antibiotic contamination is becoming a prominent global issue. Therefore, sensitive, specific and simple technology is desirable the demand for antibiotics detection. Biosensors based on split aptamer has gradually attracted extensive attention for antibiotic detection due to its higher sensitivity, lower cost, false positive/negative avoidance and flexibility in sensor design. Although many of the reported split aptamers are antibiotics aptamers, the acquisition and mechanism of splitting is still unknow. In this review, six reported split aptamers in antibiotics are outlined, including Enrofloxacin, Kanamycin, Tetracycline, Tobramycin, Neomycin, Streptomycin, which have contributed to promote interest, awareness and thoughts into this emerging research field. The study introduced the pros and cons of split aptamers, summarized the assembly principle of split aptamer and discussed the intermolecular binding of antibiotic-aptamer complexes. In addition, the recent application of split aptamers in antibiotic detection are introduced. Split aptamers have a promising future in the design and development of biosensors for antibiotic detection in food and other field. The development of the antibiotic split aptamer meets many challenges including mechanism discovery, stability improvement and new biosensor development.
