Abstract Background This study aimed to identify the differentially expressed proteins in the vitreous humor (VH) of eyes with and without pathologic myopia (PM), providing insights into the molecular pathogenesis. Methods A cross-sectional, observational study was conducted. VH samples were collected from patients undergoing vitrectomy for idiopathic epiretinal membrane (ERM), macular hole (MH), or myopic retinoschisis (MRS). Label-free quantitative proteomic analysis identified differential protein expression, with validation using ELISA. Results The proteomic profiling revealed significantly higher expressions of tubulin alpha 1a (TUBA1A) and eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha 1 (EEF1A1) in PM groups (MH-PM, MRS-PM) compared to controls (MH, ERM). Conversely, xylosyltransferase 1 (XYLT1), versican core protein (VCAN), and testican-2 (SPOCK2) expressions were lower in PM. ELISA validation confirmed these findings. Conclusions Our study provides novel insights into the molecular mechanisms of PM. The differentially expressed proteins EEF1A1, TUBA1A, XYLT1, VCAN, and SPOCK2 may play crucial roles in chorioretinal cell apoptosis, scleral extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis, and scleral remodeling in PM. These proteins represent potential new targets for therapeutic intervention in PM, highlighting the importance of further investigations to elucidate their functions and underlying mechanisms in disease pathogenesis.

The timing of autism spectrum disorder detection in research and clinical practice is characterised by substantial heterogeneity ranging from infancy to school age. In this study, we examined the age of diagnosis and its associated individual and socio-familial factors in Chinese children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. A sample of 1235 autism spectrum disorder children from 132 rehabilitation organisations in Shenzhen was investigated in 2021. We found a mean age of diagnosis of 31.4 ± 12.7 months and a median of 30.0 months. Although 71.7% of the children received their diagnosis between 25 and 36 months of age, and 13.3% were diagnosed early (?24 months), 15.1% did not have their symptoms detected until preschool or later years (>36 months). The diagnosis was likely delayed (>36 months) if the children were older, were less severe and presented with no intellectual impairment. The odds of delayed autism spectrum disorder diagnosis were more than 9 times higher among migrant autism spectrum disorder children than those with local household registrations. The study underscores the importance of identifying culturally sensitive socio-economic determinants in autism spectrum disorder detection in addition to clinical factors, as the former are likely to affect the quality of life of many autism spectrum disorder children and their families.

Abstract Background Increasing evidence suggests that leptin is involved in the pathology of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In this study, our objective was to investigate the levels of leptin in the blood of children with ASD and to examine the overall profile of adipokine markers in ASD through meta-analysis. Methods Leptin concentrations were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit, while adipokine profiling, including leptin, was performed via meta-analysis. Original reports that included measurements of peripheral adipokines in ASD patients and healthy controls (HCs) were collected from databases such as Web of Science, PubMed, and Cochrane Library. These studies were collected from September 2022 to September 2023 and followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Standardized mean differences were calculated using a random effects model for the meta-analysis. Additionally, we performed meta-regression and explored heterogeneity among studies. Abstract Objectives This study was designed to explore and validate the value of different machine learning models based on ultrasound image-omics features in the preoperative diagnosis of lymph node metastasis in pancreatic cancer (PC). Methods This research involved 189 individuals diagnosed with PC confirmed by surgical pathology (training cohort: n = 151; test cohort: n = 38), including 50 cases of lymph node metastasis. Image-omics features were extracted from ultrasound images. After dimensionality reduction and screening, eight machine learning algorithms, including logistic regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), K-nearest neighbors (KNN), random forest (RF), extra trees (ET), extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM), and multilayer perceptron (MLP), were used to establish image-omics models to predict lymph node metastasis in PC. The best omics prediction model was selected through ROC curve analysis. Machine learning models were used to analyze clinical features and determine variables to establish a clinical model. A combined model was constructed by combining ultrasound image-omics and clinical features. Decision curve analysis (DCA) and a nomogram were used to evaluate the clinical application value of the model. Results A total of 1561 image-omics features were extracted from ultrasound images. 15 valuable image-omics features were determined by regularization, dimension reduction, and algorithm selection. In the image-omics model, the LR model showed higher prediction efficiency and robustness, with an area under the ROC curve (AUC) of 0.773 in the training set and an AUC of 0.850 in the test set. The clinical model constructed by the boundary of lesions in ultrasound images and the clinical feature CA199 (AUC = 0.875). The combined model had the best prediction performance, with an AUC of 0.872 in the training set and 0.918 in the test set. The combined model showed better clinical benefit according to DCA, and the nomogram score provided clinical prediction solutions. Conclusion The combined model established with clinical features has good diagnostic ability and can be used to predict lymph node metastasis in patients with PC. It is expected to provide an effective noninvasive method for clinical decision-making, thereby improving the diagnosis and treatment of PC.

Abstract The safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines in the elderly, a high-risk group for severe COVID-19 infection, have not been fully understood. To clarify these issues, this prospective study followed up 157 elderly and 73 young participants for 16 months and compared the safety, immunogenicity, and efficacy of two doses of the inactivated vaccine BBIBP-CorV followed by a booster dose of the recombinant protein vaccine ZF2001. The results showed that this vaccination protocol was safe and tolerable in the elderly. After administering two doses of the BBIBP-CorV, the positivity rates and titers of neutralizing and anti-RBD antibodies in the elderly were significantly lower than those in the young individuals. After the ZF2001 booster dose, the antibody-positive rates in the elderly were comparable to those in the young; however, the antibody titers remained lower. Gender, age, and underlying diseases were independently associated with vaccine immunogenicity in elderly individuals. The pseudovirus neutralization assay showed that, compared with those after receiving two doses of BBIBP-CorV priming, some participants obtained immunological protection against BA.5 and BF.7 after receiving the ZF2001 booster. Breakthrough infection symptoms last longer in the infected elderly and pre-infection antibody titers were negatively associated with the severity of post-infection symptoms. The antibody levels in the elderly increased significantly after breakthrough infection but were still lower than those in the young. Our data suggest that multiple booster vaccinations at short intervals to maintain high antibody levels may be an effective strategy for protecting the elderly against COVID-19.

IntroductionPhytohormones play a crucial role in regulating the abscission of plant organs and tissues.MethodsIn this study, the ultrastructure of the sepals of Korla fragrant pears was observed using a transmission electron microscope, and high-performance liquid and gas chromatography were used to analyze the dynamic changes of phytohormones in the abscission zone during the calyx abscission process of Korla fragrant pears, and mass spectrometry imaging was applied to ascertain the spatial distribution of phytohormones.ResultsThe results revealed that the mitochondria in the abscission zone of the decalyx fruits were regularly distributed around the cell wall, and the chloroplasts were moderately present. In contrast, in the persistent calyx fruit, the corresponding parts of the abscission zone showed a scattered distribution of mitochondria within the cells, and there was a higher number of chloroplasts, which also contained starch granules inside. Mass spectrometry imaging revealed that ABA was enriched in the abscission zone of the decalyx fruit, and their ionic signal intensities were significantly stronger than those of the persistent calyx fruit. However, the ionic signal intensities of Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and Gibberellin A3 (GA3) of the persistent calyx fruit were significantly stronger than those in the abscission zone of the decalyx fruit and were concentrated in the persistent calyx fruit. 1-Aminocyclopropanecarboxylic Acid (ACC) did not show distinct regional distribution in both the decalyx and persistent calyx fruits. Furthermore, before the formation of the abscission zone, the levels of IAA, GA3, and zeatin (ZT) in the abscission zone of the decalyx fruits were significantly lower than those in the persistent calyx fruits by 37.9%, 57.7%, and 33.0%, respectively, while the levels of abscisic acid (ABA) and ethylene (ETH) were significantly higher by 21.9% and 25.0%, respectively. During the formation of the abscission zone, the levels of IAA, GA3, and ZT in the abscission zone of the decalyx fruits were significantly lower than those in the persistent calyx fruits by 41.7%, 71.7%, and 24.6%, respectively, while the levels of ABA and ETH were significantly higher by 15.2% and 80.0%, respectively. After the formation of the abscission zone, the levels of IAA and GA3 in the abscission zone of the decalyx fruits were lower than those in the persistent calyx fruits by 20.8% and 47.8%, respectively, while the levels of ABA and ETH were higher by 271.8% and 26.9%, respectively. In summary, during the calyx abscission process of Korla fragrant pears, IAA and GA3 in the abscission zone inhibited abscission, while ABA and ETH promoted calyx abscission. These research findings enrich the understanding of the regulatory mechanism of plant hormones on calyx abscission and provide a theoretical basis for the study of exogenous plant growth regulators for regulating calyx abscission in Korla fragrant pear.

In arid areas, biodegradable film has recently had the potential to replace polyethylene (PE) film to address plastic pollution. However, the positive effect of biodegradable film on soil moisture and salt control is weaker than that of PE film. Magnetized irrigation water technology is expected to compensate for this limitation. This study comprised a field experiment in 20212023 to study how two types of biodegradable film (M1, black; M2, transparent) and six magnetization intensity on irrigation water (T0, 0 Gs; T1, 1000 Gs; T2, 2000 Gs; T3, 3000 Gs; T4, 4000 Gs; T5, 5000 Gs) affect the degradation rate of biodegradable film, soil watersalt distribution, growth, and quality of processing tomatoes. The traditional PE film mulching and non-magnetized irrigation were used as the control group (MPET0). The results demonstrated that magnetized water irrigation slowed down the degradation rate of biodegradable film. In addition, the magnetized irrigation water can redistributed the soil water-salt patterns under the biodegradable film, improving the soil water content and salt leaching efficiency, with better results in M1 than in M2. Moreover, magnetized water irrigation promoted the growth of tomato leaf area under the biodegradable film, enhancing photochemical efficiency and potential activity of PSII, thereby improving fruit yield, quality, and water use efficiency of tomato. Principal component analysis showed that the comprehensive score of M1T3 treatment was the highest throughout the three years. Furthermore, M1T3 treatment has the highest processing tomato economic benefits during 2021–2023 (24634986 CNY hm2 more than MPET0). Therefore, the use of 3000 Gs magnetized irrigation water combined with black biodegradable film is conducive to improving soil water and salt conditions, reducing residual film pollution, and improving the yield and quality of processing tomatoes, thus ensuring the sustainable development of oasis agriculture.

Resveratrol, a naturally occurring polyphenolic compound, has captivated the scientific community with its promising therapeutic potential across a spectrum of diseases. This review explores the complex role of resveratrol in modulating ferroptosis, a newly identified form of programmed cell death, and its potential implications for managing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders, cancer, and other conditions. Ferroptosis is intricately linked to the pathogenesis of diverse diseases, with resveratrol exerting multifaceted effects on this process. It mitigates ferroptosis by modulating lipid peroxidation, iron accumulation, and engaging with specific cellular receptors, thereby manifesting profound therapeutic benefits in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions, as well as oncological settings. Moreover, resveratrol’s capacity to either suppress or induce ferroptosis through the modulation of signaling pathways, including Sirt1 and Nrf2, unveils novel therapeutic avenues. Despite resveratrol’s limited bioavailability, advancements in molecular modification and drug delivery optimization have amplified its clinical utility. Future investigations are poised to unravel the comprehensive mechanisms underpinning resveratrol’s action and expand its therapeutic repertoire. We hope this review could furnish a detailed and novel insight into the exploration of resveratrol in the regulation of ferroptosis and its therapeutic prospects.

BackgroundThe integration of telehealth-supported programs in chronic disease management has become increasingly common. However, its effectiveness for individuals with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) remains unclear. ObjectiveThis study aimed to assess the effectiveness of telehealth-supported exercise or physical activity programs for individuals with KOA. MethodsA comprehensive literature search encompassing Embase, MEDLINE, CENTRAL, Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, PEDro, GreyNet, and medRxiv from inception to September 2023 was conducted to identify randomized controlled trials comparing telehealth-supported exercise or physical activity programs to a control condition for KOA. Data were extracted and qualitatively synthesized across eligible studies, and a meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the effects. The study was reported according to PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) 2020. Abstract The report of near-ambient superconductivity in nitrogen-doped lutetium hydrides (Lu-N-H) has generated a great interest. However, conflicting results raised doubts regarding superconductivity. Here, we combine high-throughput crystal structure predictions with a fast predictor of superconducting critical temperature (T c) based on electron localization function to shed light on the properties of Lu-N-H at 1 GPa. None of the predicted structures supports high-temperature superconductivity and the inclusion of nitrogen in the crystal structure predictions leads to more insulating structures than metallic ones in quantity. Despite the lack of near-ambient superconductivity, we consider alternative metastable templates and study their T c and dynamical stability including quantum anharmonic effects. Lu4H11N exhibits a T c of 100 K at only 20 GPa, a large increase compared to 30 K of its parent LuH3. Interestingly, it has a similar X-ray pattern to the experimental one. The LaH10-like LuH10 and CaH6-like LuH6 become high-temperature superconductors at 175 GPa and 100 GPa, with T c of 286 K and 246 K, respectively. Our findings suggest that high-temperature superconductivity is not possible in stable phases at near-ambient pressure. However, at a slightly enhanced pressure of 20 GPa, high-T c superconductivity emerges in Lu-H-N, and metastable room-temperature superconducting templates persist at high pressures.

The development of domestic oilfield is directly related to the national energy security. The domestic oilfield development and production resulted in the generation of large amount of wastewater. The efficient treatment and resource utilization of oilfield wastewater is the key to the green and low-carbon development of China’s petroleum industry. At present，coagulation has become an indispensable technology during oilfield wastewater treatment because of its maturity，economic efficiency and practicability. In this paper，the status and progress of coagulation process in oilfield wastewater treatment were reviewed. The commonly used coagulation process in oilfield wastewater treatment were emphatically introduced. The typical coagulants used in oilfield wastewater treatment were also illustrated. Furthermore，the removal performances and characteristics of novel composite coagulants were specified. On this basis，the processes for enhancing the coagulation performance were introduced. In addition，combining with the practical engineering application，the problems within the coagulation process and the development direction were evaluated emphatically. It was hoped to provide references for the research，development and application of coagulation in oilfield wastewater treatment.

Abstract The primary challenge in the field of high-temperature superconductivity in hydrides is to achieve a superconducting state at ambient pressure rather than the extreme pressures that have been required in experiments so far. Here, we propose a family of compounds, of composition Mg2XH6 with X = Rh, Ir, Pd, or Pt, that achieves this goal. These materials were identified by scrutinizing more than a million compounds using a machine-learning accelerated high-throughput workflow. We predict that their superconducting transition temperatures are in the range of 45–80 K, or even above 100 K with appropriate electron doping of the Pt compound. These results indicate that, although very rare, high-temperature superconductivity in hydrides is achievable at room pressure.

The urgent need to reduce agricultural water consumption and tackle water scarcity has made developing water-saving technologies in agriculture a top priority. However, However, introducing these technologies does not automatically guarantee a reduction in overall water consumption within the sector. The rebound effect plays a significant role in limiting the effectiveness of water conservation policies. A comprehensive understanding of irrigation's water rebound effect (WRE) is essential for successfully conserving agricultural water resources, especially in arid regions. This study focuses on Xinjiang and empirically analyzes the rebound effect following the implementation of water-saving measures. The findings indicate that from 2001 to 2020, water consumption remained a concern despite advancements in irrigation technology, leading to a 40.86 % reduction in the irrigation quota (a decrease of 5567.12 m³/ha). The cultivated land area, irrigation area, water-saving irrigation area, agricultural output value, agricultural water consumption, and agricultural water use productivity in Xinjiang have increased by 2.86 × 106 ha, 1.40 × 106 ha, 1.70 × 106 ha, 81.61 × 109 CNY, 6.28 × 109 m3 and 1.57 CNY/m3, respectively, with growth rates of 83.54 %, 41.27 %, 134.24 %, 217.87, 7.80 % and 192.83 %, respectively. Despite the reduced water allocation per hectare for irrigation, the anticipated decline in total water consumption did not occur, revealing a significant rebound effect, with variations ranging from 64.84 % to 1972.51 %. This indicates that a single water-saving measure may not ensure long-term water conservation. A deeper analysis of this rebound effect can help formulate more effective water management strategies. Strategies should encompass promoting ongoing advancements in water-saving technologies, imposing restrictions on expanding the cultivated land in certain areas, decreasing the cultivation of high-yield and high-water-demand crops, curbing the extension of irrigation coverage, enhancing the establishment of agricultural water pricing mechanisms, integrating smart irrigation technologies and data-driven water resource management, enhancing the utilization of saline-alkaline water, and driving policy innovation. The findings can help enhance agricultural water use efficiency, supporting agricultural production and regional economic development. This not only aids in improving agricultural water management in Xinjiang but also provides valuable insights for other arid and semi-arid regions. These insights can aid in creating more efficient water resource management strategies, reducing the negative impacts of the WRE, and advancing global agricultural sustainability and innovation in water management.

AimsThe health management of end-stage renal disease patients is a complicated process, and mobile health management technology provides a new choice for the health management of end-stage renal disease patients. The scope of clinical studies on mobile health management for patients with end-stage renal disease was reviewed, and found that about mobile health management problems existing in the literature were identified to provide ideas for subsequent mobile health management research.MethodsThe databases Web of Science, PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, Wan Fang Data, BMJ, and VIP were systematically searched for studies on Mobile health management among end-stage renal disease in adult and adolescent patients or children undergoing kidney replacement therapy. The search covered the period from the inception of the databases to June 20, 2023. Two independent reviewers conducted the literature screening process. Following eligibility screening, a total of 38 papers were included for data extraction and descriptive analysis.ResultsA total of 38 studies from 14 countries were finally included. The majority of which were interventional trials. The platforms used in these studies included remote monitoring systems, apps, websites, mobile phones or tablets, and social platforms. These platforms provided patients with a wide range of services, including disease management, behavioral intervention, social support, and follow-up care. Most studies focused on patient clinical indicators, patient experience, quality of life, and healthcare costs.ConclusionOur findings that mobile health management has been widely used in disease management of end-stage renal disease patients, with rich management content and many evaluation indicators. Future studies should strengthen the evaluation of patients’ mental health, quality of life, and healthcare costs. Additionally, developing a clinical decision support system would enable mobile health management to play a more effective role in end-stage renal disease patients.

The discovery of MPTP, an industrial chemical and contaminant of illicit narcotics, which causes parkinsonism in humans, non-human primates and rodents, has led to environmental pollutants exposure being convicted as key candidate in Parkinson’s disease (PD) pathogenesis. Though MPTP-induced mitochondrial dysfunction and neuroinflammation are mainly responsible for the causative issue of MPTP neurotoxicity, the underlying mechanism involved remains unclear. Here, we reveal a novel signaling mechanism of CDK5-USP30-MAVS regulating MPTP/MPP+ induced PD. MPP+ (the toxic metabolite of MPTP) treatment not only led to the increased protein levels of USP30 but also to mitophagy inhibition, mitochondrial dysfunction, and MAVS-mediated inflammation in BV2 microglial cells. Both mitophagy stimulation (Urolithin A administration) and USP30 knockdown relieved MAVS-mediated inflammation via restoring mitophagy and mitochondrial function in MPP+-induced cell model. Notably, MPTP/MPP+-induced CDK5 activation regulated USP30 phosphorylation at serine 216 to stabilize USP30. Moreover, CDK5-USP30 pathway promoted MAVS-mediated inflammation in MPTP/MPP+-induced PD model. Inhibition of CDK5 not only had a protective effect on MPP+-induced cell model of PD via suppressing the upregulation of USP30 and the activation of MAVS inflammation pathway in vitro, but also prevented neurodegeneration in vivo and alleviated movement impairment in MPTP mouse model of PD. Overall, our study reveal that CDK5 blocks mitophagy through phosphorylating USP30 and activates MAVS inflammation pathway in MPTP/MPP+-induced PD model, which suggests that CDK5-USP30-MAVS signaling pathway represents a valuable treatment strategy for PD induced by environmental neurotoxic pollutants in relation to MPTP.

Biodegradable film (BF), as a superior substitute for traditional polyethylene film (PF), has experienced a consistent increase in China. However, a significant research gap persists regarding the utilization of BF in assessing farmland carbon balance. This experiment examined the responses of maize growth, yield, irrigation water productivity (IWP), CO2 emissions, and field net carbon sequestration (NCS) to two BF types (BF1, 100-day induction period, and BF2, 80-day induction period), and PF, and three irrigation amounts (I1, I2, I3: 5250, 5625, and 6000 m3 ha–1), by conducting a two-year (2019–2020) field trial in a typical arid and semi-arid region of China. The results indicated that biodegradable film mulching (BFM) negatively affected maize growth, resulting in reduced yield and IWP. Especially under the I1 irrigation level, the biodegradable film reduced maize yield by 6.26%–13.99% and IWP by 6.64–13.85%. Notably, in the I2 irrigation level, BF1 mulching had a comparable impact on maize yield and IWP to that of PF. Additionally, the increase in irrigation amounts exerted a more pronounced promoting effect on maize total biomass than on yield and IWP. Concerning carbon balance, short-term BF application resulted in reduced CO2 emissions (5.74–6.30% under BF1 and 9.27–12.37% under BF2), without any significant impact on NCS in cropland. Taking into account the economic value of maize and farmland ecology, we recommended utilizing irrigation amounts of 5625 m3 ha–1 for BF application in arid areas, while opting for a BF with a longer induction period whenever feasible.

Organizational climate has been shown to be an important factor associated with teachers’ job satisfaction. However, the internal mechanism between them is unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the relationship between kindergarten organizational climate and kindergarten teachers’ job satisfaction was affected by occupational stress and emotional labor. This study employed a questionnaire survey method to gather data from 1,091 kindergarten teachers nationwide. It conducted an analysis of the current status of kindergarten organizational climate and the job satisfaction of kindergarten teachers, elucidating the relationship between the two and the underlying mechanisms. Additionally, a chain mediation model was constructed. The findings indicated that: (1) organizational climate, kindergarten teachers’ occupational stress and emotional labor all significantly predict kindergarten teachers’ job satisfaction directly (2) organizational climate could indirectly influence kindergarten teachers’ job satisfaction through three pathways: the separate mediating effect of occupational stress and emotional labor, and the chain mediating effect on both. The research findings highlight the significance of kindergarten organizational climate, occupational stress, and emotional labor in augmenting the job satisfaction of kindergarten teachers, offering valuable insights for the improvement of kindergarten teacher job satisfaction.

ObjectiveThe pathological classification and imaging manifestation of parotid gland tumors are complex, while accurate preoperative identification plays a crucial role in clinical management and prognosis assessment. This study aims to construct and compare the performance of clinical models, traditional radiomics models, deep learning (DL) models, and deep learning radiomics (DLR) models based on ultrasound (US) images in differentiating between benign parotid gland tumors (BPGTs) and malignant parotid gland tumors (MPGTs).MethodsRetrospective analysis was conducted on 526 patients with confirmed PGTs after surgery, who were randomly divided into a training set and a testing set in the ratio of 7:3. Traditional radiomics and three DL models (DenseNet121, VGG19, ResNet50) were employed to extract handcrafted radiomics (HCR) features and DL features followed by feature fusion. Seven machine learning classifiers including logistic regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), RandomForest, ExtraTrees, XGBoost, LightGBM and multi-layer perceptron (MLP) were combined to construct predictive models. The most optimal model was integrated with clinical and US features to develop a nomogram. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was employed for assessing performance of various models while the clinical utility was assessed by decision curve analysis (DCA).ResultsThe DLR model based on ExtraTrees demonstrated superior performance with AUC values of 0.943 (95% CI: 0.918-0.969) and 0.916 (95% CI: 0.861-0.971) for the training and testing set, respectively. The combined model DLR nomogram (DLRN) further enhanced the performance, resulting in AUC values of 0.960 (95% CI: 0.940- 0.979) and 0.934 (95% CI: 0.876-0.991) for the training and testing sets, respectively. DCA analysis indicated that DLRN provided greater clinical benefits compared to other models.ConclusionDLRN based on US images shows exceptional performance in distinguishing BPGTs and MPGTs, providing more reliable information for personalized diagnosis and treatment plans in clinical practice.
