Pipeline transport is widely used in industrial production and daily life. To reduce the waste of resources and economic losses caused by pipeline leaks, leak detection, localization and estimation systems are implemented in liquid pipelines. To minimize leak interpretation errors, leak detection algorithms based on artificial intelligence (AI) and data analysis have been developed. This study proposes a scheme for the detection and localization of multiple sequential leaks, based on the combination of two techniques such as decision trees and support vector machines. The results show that the proposed models have high accuracy, precision, recall and F1 score of 99.9%, 99.7%, respectively, which are better than the traditional classification model. Construction drives the economic development of a country, so it seeks to minimize the environmental impact by implementing sustainable construction practices, being traditional construction an effective, economical and environmentally friendly alternative. Higher education in its teaching process seeks to train professionals in construction with skills and capabilities, where actions, processes and methods respond to the existing and emerging needs of the industry and the population. The Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, generates spaces of pedagogical practices so that civil engineers are trained in values and ancestral knowledge as construction with tapia, using the methodology of learning by doing through practical workshops, creating the necessary competences for the future professional. The pedagogical practice was carried out in Barichara - Santander possessing a wealth of materials, from its territory. With this practice, the appropriation of technical, regulatory and cultural knowledge of the area was achieved, with the transmission of the knowledge of experts in Barichara and the realization of construction processes based on earth such as the construction of walls in walls. One of the learning strategies is active learning that requires students to be able to learn independently. For this to be realized, learning must be integrated with simulation software to enrich the teaching and learning processes. This influence is very important especially in the fields of Industrial process control and this is where the concept of Industry 4.0 appears. The rapid industrial growth has led to the need to create new construction materials from organic wastes and agroindustrial, by-products in order to reduce environmental impacts and raw materials, generating an ecological material. The objective of this article is to determine the physical-mechanical properties of concrete mixtures incorporating sugar cane molasses as an alternative material to retarding and plasticizing agents in dosages of 0% to 1%, in order to determine the optimum dosage of this material to be used as a retarding and plasticizing additive in concrete. The results of mixing the material indicated that at dosages of 0.4% and 1% molasses, results similar to those of a comercial, plasticizer are achieved, In addition, it was identified that the incorporation of molasses causes a substantial improvement in the strength of the concrete. From the results obtained, it is evident that the use of molasses as a plasticizing and retarding agent is a viable alternative considering the physical and mechanical properties of the material. By focusing on citation count and source, researchers have been able to identify journal articles that are considered high impact in scope and relevance, qualifying them as "citation classics" in a field. In this context, this article analyzed the characteristics of publications related to Deep Learning Based Analysis for the characterization and Phenomenological Study of multiphase fluids. The use of guadua has increased in importance as a construction material due to the implementation of sustainable materials in the construction sector. This material provides a good view to passersby of the typical mountainous landscapes of eastern Antioquia in Colombia. Furthermore, bridges are fundamental structures for connecting territories separated by streams, roads, or topographic depressions. The methodology of this research work considers in the first step the bibliographic compilation, the second step the main physical and mechanical properties of the guadua/bamboo, the three-step the analysis of the points and connections, and finally, the last step four the architectural design appropriately a structure that can be used as a Pedestrian Bridge in Antioquia in the most faraway locations. Also, specialized design software was used to obtain the conceptual design of the components and geometrical areas of the bridge and thus consider its use in real conditions. This works aims to present an architectural solution consisting of a bridge with a span of 12 m considering as the main component guadua Angustifolia elements that are interconnected design with metal elements being as support to obtain adequate and ecological structural characteristics contributing to the development of the sustainability in the civil engineering projects. Finally, the results exposed that considering the literature review and research consulted, it is possible to design a bridge with the appropriate structural conditions. It's important to mention that this work was carried out from the architectural and functional point of view of the structure, prioritizing aesthetic and urban aspects, for which it is necessary to carry out structural modeling, obtaining the design parameters from laboratory tests on the guadua species of the zone. In the framework of quality assurance in higher education, it is essential that the specialization programs have a continuous improvement in the teaching-learning process. In this order of ideas, the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander Ocaña sectional approved through Agreement No. 022 of May 27, 2021 the Institutional Policy of Learning Outcomes, which has a plan for the identification, definition, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Learning Outcomes. The main objective of this research is to show a model that contemplates some development phases for the realization and implementation of the learning outcomes of the specialization program in Industrial Automation of the University. The methodology used is descriptive. In the particular case of the program, the curricular committee of the Specialization collects and applies the guidelines proposed in the institutional educational project and identifies the social demands and makes the recognition of the University's Mission to define its Training Objectives, which in turn constitute the starting point to build the Professional and Occupational Profiles of the Specialists in Industrial Automation. This project consists of making T-connections from Kunth guadua angustifolia joints, focusing the research on determining their behavior under tensile stresses, changing the injection with mortar as proposed by NSR-10-chapter G-12, for a mixture of RPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate) and PS (polystyrene) plastic material. This study is proposed to the extent that guadua as an engineering material is used in different types of construction for homes, bridges, support structures, among others. However, in Colombia the available research and information about the admissible tensile strength offered by this element for structural purposes can be considered deficient compared to the benefits offered by said material. Therefore, an investigation is developed with a quantitative approach of an experimental type, in which a dosage of model mixtures for the injection polymeric matrix was carried out; specimens from the department of Norte de Santander were taken; and the tensile stress tests were carried out on the samples, for which acting tensile strengths (ft) between 1.74 MPa and 3.20 MPa were reached, which compared to the modified allowable tensile stress (F't) that under coefficients of Modification of load duration and temperature yielded a value of 16.20 MPa; which indicates a positive result given that the criterion that ft ≤ F't set forth in Regulation NSR-10, chapter G-12 Structures in Guadua is met. This article shows the relation between atmospheric pollution and the quality of rainwater in urbanized centers, as well as the incidence on the behavior of construction materials such as concrete used in building construction. The study includes data collected at the monitoring stations located in the metropolitan area of Medellín, Colombia, which measures the presence of particulate matter PM2.5 and PM10 (µg/m3). Samples of drinking water and rainwater were also studied to determine, if there were important differences between them. Identifying aspects, such as pH, presence of sulfates (SO4-2) and chlorides (Cl-). Additionally, parameters of international and national standards required for the manufacture of concrete mixtures were compared. The results obtained from measurements of air pollution, composition of rainwater and drinking water, resistances of concrete samples and savings of water consumption in buildings, allowed to conclude that there is a direct relationship between air quality and rain water. However, this is not an obstacle to an urban use of this resource in the construction industry, contributing to reduce pressure on water sources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Rainwater harvesting is an alternative to minimize pressure on water resources and optimize water management. This article investigates a case study in a building of the Naranjal Partial Plan, in the city of Medellin, Colombia, which demonstrates the technical, economic and legal feasibility of the implementation of techniques and technologies for rainwater harvesting for non-potable uses, as well as its environmental contribution. The objective was to identify the feasibility of rainwater harvesting in multifamily buildings with a combined system of potable water from conventional aqueducts and rainwater for non-potable use. Among the results achieved are: the contextualization of the methodology of the Pan-American Center for Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences for the pluviometric index of cities in the tropics, the positive adaptation of sustainable water supply networks to technical regulations, and their good performance in terms of costs and budgets for the execution of works. It can be concluded that it is possible to build smaller tanks than those stipulated in the CEPIS methodology according to the daily correlation carried out, which is viable for all strata. This paper presents the design of a proportional integral derivative control strategy applied to the speed control of a direct current motor, this was measured the ability of the system to follow a reference signal of step type. The measurement was made in the frame of the mean square error percentage where the degree of the polynomial with which the disturbance is approximated was varied, giving as a result for m=2 a mean square error percentage of 2.35%, for m=4 a mean square error percentage of 1.23% and finally for m=6 a mean square error percentage of 0.87%. This paper describes the bibliometric analysis of control based on active disturbance rejection. The research was conducted in the Scopus database to identify academic participation on this topic. Based on a theoretical framework that resulted in 1268 articles from 1993 to 2022, networks of co-occurrences, co-authorships and actor countries were mapped, which made explicit the relationships in space and time, highlighting the countries France, the United States and China. The research becomes relevant for academia and civil society by highlighting research in emerging countries with different approaches and the possibility of gaining synergy with knowledge sharing, as well as best practices applied worldwide for the management of information systems in the field of automatic process control. This paper presents the design of a control strategy based on the active rejection of disturbances, applied to the temperature regulation of a crucible furnace for the aluminum smelting process. For this purpose, the generalized proportional integral control was used, which was designed based on the simplified model of the furnace identified by means of the Matlab PIDtuner app. When applying the designed control to the model, follow-up data were taken from the reference signal and analyzed using the percentage of quadratic error measured. This showed that the generalized integral proportional control applied to the system model obtained a mean square error percentage of 0.433%, and with a 50% variation of the model parameters the mean square error percentage was 2.88%. The following paper presents the development of an IoT architecture for autonomous parking systems. The research is performed using a DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodology composed of 4 phases: requirements identification, design characterization, design optimization and design verification. It is implemented in a scaled prototype using Arduino for data acquisition, Android language for user interface development and Java language for control software development. The architecture is composed of three main blocks: User, System and Parking. The results show that the implementation of parking systems is presented as an alternative to optimize mobility by reducing the time required for parking and minimizing vehicular congestion. The prototype allowed concluding that the architecture is functional in a business context if it is to be implemented on a large scale as a massive mobile application.
