One communication medium that is well-known for its outstanding and reliable performance is fiber optic. A social example of its application is the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network. The goal of this study is to evaluate the signal quality of the customer base method and the branching method, two FTTH-building techniques based on the PT.PLN Icon Plus standards, in order to identify the most practical approach for use in the Air Hitam 2 cluster. Two scenarios were used in this study at the Fiber Access Terminal (FAT) with 1:16 and 1:8 splitters. The fiber optic cable path design findings demonstrate that the branching approach is a wise decision, utilizing optical fiber cables for a total of 9 Km, with the greatest cable distance being 2.5 Km from the Optical Line Terminal (OLT) to the end FAT. According to theory, in the 1:16 splitter situation and the 1:8 splitter scenario, the optical power received by the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) is -19.13 dBm and -16.03 dBm, respectively, with an OLT transmit power of 3 dBm. For these cases, the simulation results are -17.98 dBm and -20.27 dBm. Additionally, the budget value for the rising time reaches 0.253 ns. The bit error rate values in the 1:16 and 1:8 splitter scenarios are 3.157 × 10-10, and 1.63507 × 10-28, respectively, while the Q factor values are 6.18233 and 11.014, respectively. Based on theory and simulation, these findings suggest that the branching strategy can deliver good performance.

As technology advances, AI in schooling becomes more commonly used in learning assistance and academic purposes. This review study examines improving pre-service teachers' AI literacy in the modern classroom. The study starts with an overview of AI literacy in the way of pre-service teacher development. It then explores AI tailored learning based on individual differences and interests, instant feedback, and interactive interaction. Key results imply that its implications may help pre-service teachers' AI literacy by improving their understandings and necessary skills of AI principles, problem-solving abilities, and attitude toward technology integration in education. The study also addresses ethical concerns, technical limitations, and the necessity for ongoing professional development. This paper helps teachers, curriculum developers, and policymakers effectively integrate data-driven interventions into pre-service teacher preparation. The Pre-service teachers must learn AI literacy to manipulate the changing learning environment as well as pedagogical practices for effective classroom. The need for continued research and collaboration to improve AI inclusion in pre-service teacher preparation for AI literacy are now should be continuing.

The problems faced in school textbooks and student worksheets are common problems globally and there are no daily problems that are in accordance with the surrounding environment and current problems so that they do not train students' scientific literacy skills. This research focuses on validity and readability of developing an integrated e-book that incorporates Jolotundo temple local wisdom into Biodiversity material to enhance high school students' Science Literacy skills. The study addresses the challenge of limited teaching materials due to the shortage of teachers capable of preparing suitable content for 21st-century learning, which emphasizes Science Literacy. The Research and Development (R&D) method was employed using the ADDIE framework, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data was collected through validation by two biology lecturers, material experts, and media experts, as well as a readability test. The e-book received high validation scores: 3.65 for presentation, 3.66 for content appropriateness, and 3.72 for language appropriateness. The readability test indicated a level 10, aligning with the cognitive level of grade X high school students, and was categorized as very positive and appropriate. In conclusion, the integrated e-book is highly feasible and valid for enhancing science literacy skills in grade X high school students, making it an effective tool for 21st-century learning.

Stunting is the result of chronic malnutrition due to the lack of micronutrient-based methyl donors required for epigenetic programming during the first 1000 days of life. Methylation studies using bisulfite conversion from blood DNA are invasive and may not be practical for large-scale epidemiological investigation or nutrition intervention programs. Buccal epithelial methylation may reflect early germline methylation. Therefore, buccal cells can serve as convenient sample sources to collect biomarkers associated with the risk of stunting. This study aims to describe the feasibility of nanopore adaptive sampling in detecting DNA methylation from children’s buccal DNA. We used adaptive sampling of Oxford Nanopore Technology on barcoded samples to describe differential methylation associated with malnutrition. Overall, the level of 5-methylcytosine (5mC) was lower in stunted children than in normal children. We also found differentially methylated regions at the MIR6724 and RNA45SN1 gene loci on chromosome 21, which was higher in stunted children than in normal children. We described and detected differential DNA methylation in the locus previously not known to be associated with stunting. Interestingly, this locus on chromosome 21 has been implicated in the stunted phenotype of Down syndrome.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of auxin types and their concentrations on rooting of the rootstock cuttings and BA on grafting. First, IBA, NAA or IBA+NAA, each at 0, 1000, 2000, and 3000 ppm were used as treatments to study rooting of Piper colubrinum. In the second experiment, BA (0 and 50 ppm) was applied to P. nigrum scion clones of Natar-1 and Petaling-2, before being grafted to the rootstocks. Results showed, that all types of auxins (IBA, NAA or IBA+NAA) induced rooting and shoot growth, and the increase of auxin concentrations led to the increase of rooting. However, their effectiveness was different. NAA and IBA+NAA were superior to IBA, and at 2000 ppm, IBA+NAA resulted in the best plant growth, as indicated by higher values of both rooting and shoot growth parameters. Compared to control, BA treatment on scions resulted in higher grafting success (80% vs. 93%) for Natar-1, and (73% vs.100%) for Petaling-2 clones. BA treatment on scions also induced more calluses in the graft union and better shoot growth. To our knowledge, this is the first report on the use of BA to increase success of grafting between P. nigrum and P. colubrinum.

This paper proposes dual functional microwave sensor for displacement and angular detection of liquid material based on electric coupled (ELC) resonator. The proposed resonator uses a two-port band stop filter operating at a resonant frequency of 2.72 GHz. Polystyrene-mm pipe channels are used to accommodate water samples placed in the sensing area of the sensor in the center of the ELC resonator. Displacement and angular detection were observed based on the shift in the resonant frequency of the resonator. Based on the measurement results, the proposed sensor has a sensitivity for displacement detection of 31.5 MHz/cm with a distance range of d =1 – 4 cm while for angular detection it is 0.33 MHz/o with a rotation angle of 0 – 90° for polystyrene-mm pipe channel filled with water content. This paper makes a significant contribution by proposed a dual functional microwave sensor for displacement and angular detection that can be recommended for the automotive, robotics and aerospace industries.

الملخص: أهداف البحث: حب الشباب الشائع مشكلة شائعة، مع معدل حدوث مرتفع نسبيا بين الآسيويين. بالمناسبة، تم إثبات الخصائص المحتملة المضادة للميكروبات والمضادة للالتهابات لقشور الموز في دراسات سابقة؛ ومع ذلك، لم يتم دراستها في حالة حب الشباب. هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة التأثيرات الوقائية لمستخلص قشر الموز (موسى بالبسيانا) بسبب حب الشباب. طريقة البحث: تم تقسيم ثلاثين جرذا إلى خمس مجموعات (عدد = 6 فئران في كل مجموعة): مجموعة حب الشباب، مجموعة حب الشباب الشائع المعالجة بـ 0.15 ٪ قشر الموز (موسى بالبيسيانا) ، مجموعة حب الشباب الشائع المعالجة بنسبة 0.30 ٪ قشر الموز (موسى بالبيسيانا)، مجموعة حب الشباب الشائع المعالجة 0.60 ٪ قشر الموز (موسى بالبيسيانا)، وحب الشباب الشائع المجموعة التي تم إعطاؤها الكليندامايسين كدواء قياسي. قمنا بتقييم حجم العقيدات وعدد البكتيريا وعلم الأنسجة ومستويات السيتوكين (انترليوكن-1، وانتر فيرون جاما، وعامل نخر العظم-ألفا، انترليوكن-8). تم استخدام المقايسات المناعية المرتبطة بالإنزيم لقياس مستويات السيتوكين. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، أجرينا دراسات الالتحام الجزيئي لتحديد التفاعلات بين المواد الكيميائية النباتية (تريغونيلين، الفانيلين، حمض الفيروليك، حمض الأيزوفانيليك، الروتين، والسالسولينول) عبر مسارات المستقبل الشبيه بالتول-2 والعامل النووي – كابا ب. النتائج: أدت جميع جرعات قشر الموز (موسى بالبيسيانا) إلى تثبيط نمو البكتيريا وإنتاج السيتوكينات المنشطة للالتهابات مقارنة بمجموعة حب الشباب، بالإضافة إلى علاج التهاب الأنسجة. تم قمع حجم العقدة بشكل معنوي بأعلى جرعتين من قشر الموز (موسى بالبيسيانا) مقارنة بمجموعة حب الشباب. ومع ذلك، يظل تأثيره الدوائي أدنى من تأثير الكليندامايسين. أظهرت دراسات الالتحام أن المركب النباتي ذو الطاقة التفاعلية الأكثر سلبية مع المستقبل الشبيه بالتول-2 والعامل النووي – كابا ب كان روتيني. الاستنتاجات: تشير هذه النتائج إلى أن مستخلص قشر الموز (موسى بالبيسيانا) يعمل كعامل مضاد للالتهابات ضد حب الشباب الشائع، عن طريق قمع تكوينات العقيدات، وتثبيط نمو البكتيريا، وتقليل إنتاج السيتوكينات المسببة للالتهابات. Abstract: Objective: Acne vulgaris (AV) is a common problem with a relatively high incidence rate among Asian people. The potential antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties of banana peels have been demonstrated in previous studies but have not been studied in cases of AV. Therefore, this study was aimed at investigating the protective effects of banana (Musa balbisiana) peel extract (MBPE) against AV. Methods: Thirty rats were divided into five groups (n = 6 rats per group): an AV group, AV group treated with 0.15% MBPE, AV group administered 0.30% MBPE, AV group administered 0.60% MBPE, and AV group administered clindamycin (the standard drug treatment). We assessed nodule size, bacterial count, histopathology, and cytokine levels (IL-1α, IFN-γ, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, and IL-8). Enzyme linked immunoassays were used to measure the cytokine levels. In addition, we performed molecular docking studies to determine the interactions between phytochemicals (trigonelline, vanillin, ferulic acid, isovanillic acid, rutin, and salsolinol) via the Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) pathways. Results: All MBPE treatment groups, compared with the AV group, showed suppression of both bacterial growth and proinflammatory cytokine production, as well as resolved tissue inflammation. The nodule size was significantly suppressed in the groups receiving the two highest doses of MBPE, compared with the AV group. However, the pharmacological action of MBPE remained inferior to that of clindamycin. Docking studies demonstrated that rutin was the phytocompound with the most negative interaction energy with TLR2 or NF-κB. Conclusions: Our results indicated that MBPE has anti-inflammatory effects against AV, by suppressing nodule formation, inhibiting bacterial growth, and decreasing proinflammatory cytokine production.

This paper presents the design and development of a mini-compact Wilkinson Power Divider (WPD) operating at 9.3 GHz, with a wide bandwidth of 200 MHz, for the Man-Pack Surveillance Radar (MPSR) application. The design of the WPD was carried out using Advanced Design System (ADS) software with a microstrip feeding technique. The substrate material used in this design was Duroid Roger 5880, which has a thickness (h) of 1.575 mm, dielectric constant (εr) of 2.20, and loss tangent (tan δ) of 0.0009. A WPD was designed, developed, and measured. The simulation results obtained included return loss (S11) -37.50 dB, (S22) -26.59 dB, (S33) -26.09 dB, insertion loss (S21) -3.61 dB and (S31) - 2.55 dB, and isolation (S32) -12.89 dB. Overall, the simulation result parameters worked at a frequency of 9.3 GHz. Furthermore, when the WPD measurement produces a measured return loss of (S11) -28.69 dB, (S22) -28.5 dB, (S33) -29.95 dB, insertion loss (S21) -6.61 dB, and (S31) -7.55 dB, and isolation (S32) -21.89 dB. The dimensions resulting from the realization were 20.5 mm x 20 mm.

Abstract Background Pompe disease is a rare glycogen storage disorder caused by deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme acid alpha-glucosidase (GAA), leading to glycogen deposition in multiple tissues. Infantile-onset Pompe disease (IOPD) patients present within the first year of life with profound hypotonia and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Treatment with enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) has significantly improved survival for this otherwise lethal disorder. This study aims to describe the clinical and molecular spectrum of Malaysian IOPD patients, and to analyze their long term treatment outcomes. Methods Seventeen patients diagnosed with IOPD between 2000 and 2020 were included in this retrospective cohort study. Clinical and biochemical data were collated and analyzed using descriptive statistics. GAA enzyme levels were performed on dried blood spots. Molecular analysis of the GAA gene was performed by polymerase chain reaction and Sanger sequencing. Structural modelling was used to predict the effect of the novel mutations on enzyme structure. Results Our cohort had a median age of presentation of 3 months and median age of diagnosis of 6 months. Presenting features were hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (100%), respiratory insufficiency (94%), hypotonia (88%), failure to thrive (82%), feeding difficulties (76%), and hepatomegaly (76%). Fourteen different mutations in the GAA gene were identified, with three novel mutations, c.1552-14_1552-1del, exons 2–3 deletion and exons 6–10 deletion. The most common mutation identified was c.1935C > A p.(D645E), with an allele frequency of 33%. Sixteen patients received ERT at the median age of 7 months. Overall survival was 29%. Mean age of death was 17.5 months. Our longest surviving patient has atypical IOPD and is currently 20 years old. Conclusions This is the first study to analyze the genotype and phenotype of Malaysian IOPD patients, and has identified the c.1935C > A p.(D645E) as the most common mutation. The three novel mutations reported in this study expands the mutation spectrum for IOPD. Our low survival rate underscores the importance of early diagnosis and treatment in achieving better treatment outcomes.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has been implementing a booster vaccine program since January 12th, 2022, with priority for the elderly and vulnerable groups as well as those who got the second C-19 vaccine longer than 6 months. The implementation of this program raised many pros and cons among public which were expressed either positively or negatively through social media. Therefore, sentiment analysis is needed to examine these phenomenons. This study aims to determine the positive and negative response from public by employing K-Nearest Neighbor method. A total of 2,000 commentary data were collected to be in turn classified based on positive and negative sentiments. There are 500 comments used as training data and divided equally to positive and negative class, each consists of 250 data. Using the value of K = 9, the results show a positive sentiment of 43% while a negative sentiment of 57%. Based on the validity test using 10-fold cross validation, an accuracy of 82.60% was obtained, a recall value was 82.60% with a precision of 83.89%.

Health cadres play a vital role as community educators and frontline workers in the stunting handling program. Maternal knowledge regarding adequate nutrition for toddlers from pregnancy to birth is a crucial factor in preventing stunting, as it influences the mother's choices in terms of food ingredients and diversity. Pandeglang Regency is among the 100 priority cities/regencies in stunting reduction efforts. This activity aims to provide training to enhance the knowledge and capacity of Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) cadres in stunting, anthropometry, and nutrition. The trained cadres will be able to actively contribute to stunting prevention programs in the targeted stunting locus area of the Pandeglang Regency. The training methods include classroom training, Posyandu simulations, advocacy, and licensing. The exercise focuses on three stunting locus villages: Kedeumaneh, Kadeubelang, and Medong. Knowledge improvement was evaluated through pre-test and post-test assessments, followed by simulations conducted at each Posyandu location. The results indicated that 30 cadre respondents demonstrated increased knowledge after the training (p-value = 0.044). Furthermore, the simulation results revealed that the cadres were able to accurately perform anthropometric measurements.

Current water warming and freshwater acidification undoubtedly affect the life of aquatic animals especially ammonotelic teleost by altering their physiological responses. The effect of temperature (28 °C vs 32 °C) and pH (7 vs. 5) on the metabolic compromising strategies of Hoven's carp (Leptobarbus hoevenii) was investigated in this study. Fishes were conditioned to (i) 28 °C + pH 7 (N28°C); (ii) 32 °C + pH 7 (N32°C); (iii) 28 °C + pH 5 (L28°C) and (iv) 32 °C + pH 5 (L32°C) for 20 days followed by osmorespiration assay. Results showed that feeding performance of Hoven's carp was significantly depressed when exposed to low pH conditions (L28°C and L32°C). However, by exposed Hoven's carp to L32°C induced high metabolic oxygen intake and ammonia excretion to about 2x-folds higher compared to the control group. As for energy mobilization, Hoven's carp mobilized liver and muscle protein under L28°C condition. Whereas under high temperature in both pH, Hoven's carp had the tendency to reserve energy in both of liver and muscle. The findings of this study revealed that Hoven's carp is sensitive to lower water pH and high temperature, thereby they remodeled their physiological needs to cope with the environmental changes condition.

ABSTRAK Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan yang membutuhkan kemandirian teknologi radar pantai untuk keperluan pengawasan. Maka, kebutuhan akan RF amplifier yang murah merupakan suatu keharusan. Makalah ini menyajikan simulasi dan realisasi microstrip RF amplifier menggunakan RT/Duroid 5580 dan teknik matching stub pada frekuensi 9,3 GHz. Teknik ini merupakan yang efektif untuk frekuensi tinggi dan mencocokkan impedansi dengan nilai imajiner. Komponen aktif MGF2407A dipilih dengan konfigurasi DC fixed bias. Dari hasil simulasi, RF amplifier yang diusulkan memiliki gain sebesar 10,318 dB, S11 sebesar -26 dB dan S22 sebesar -28 dB dengan kompresi P1dB sebesar 11 dBm. Namun, selama pengukuran, RF amplifier memberikan redaman akibat pengaruh penyolderan, short circuit, dan electro statis discharge. Untuk parameter terukur lainnya memenuhi persyaratan standar. Hal ini menunjukkan realisasi microstrip RF amplifier untuk frekuensi tinggi memiliki tingkat keberhasilan yang rendah. For the independence of coastal radar technology, the need for low cost RF amplifiers is a must.This paper presents simulation and realization of microstrip RF amplifier used RT/Duroid 5580 and matching stub technique worked at 9.3 GHz. This matching technique is effective for high frequency and to match the impedance with imaginer value. The active component of MGF2407A was chosen with DC fixed bias configuration. From simulation, the proposed RF amplifier has gain of 10.318 dB, S11 of -26 dB and S22 of -28 dB with P1dB compression at 11 dBm. However, during the measurement, the RF amplifier provides attenuation due to soldering, short circuit, and electro statis discharge effects. For other measured parameters met the standard requirements. This demonstrates the low success rate of realizing microstrip RF amplifiers for high frequencies. Increasing developments on the application of copper complexes as dyes are due to their dual function in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) as redox mediators and dye sensitizers. The economical (abundance, low cost) and environmentally friendly properties of copper motivate researchers on the use of copper complexes for replacement of ruthenium-based dyes in solar cells. A novel [Cu(I)(2,9-dmp)(phen-dione)]PF6 (A2) bearing polypyridyl ligands, 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione (phen-dione), 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmp) was prepared by metal complexation reaction. The photofunctionality of A2 as a promising photosensitizer in DSSCs was studied. Interestingly, A2 exhibited two absorption peaks, one is detected in the ultraviolet region due to -* transition and the other is a metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) band at 405nm in the visible region. A2 was compared to the same complex with Cu(II) ion as the metal centre which only absorbed light in the ultraviolet region thereby implying limited use of Cu(II) complex in its light harvesting application. The photofunctionality of A2 was studied by employing it as an active material for photoelectric conversion by engaging it with ITO to create a photoanode. Upon light irradiation, an anodic current was observed. In conclusion, introduction of Cu(I), instead of Cu(II), in polypridyls ligands resulted in successful enhancement of photophysical properties of A2, making the photoanode of A2 suitable for light harvesting applications.

Elderly, chronic disease, depression, health perception, dependency level, which affect the quality of life of the elderly. Various interventions are needed by the elderly to overcome the decline in mobility related to age. The purpose of this study is to identify the effectiveness of stretching exercise on the quality of life and functional status of the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus. test group design with one intervention group. The total sample in this study was 30 elderly with type 2 diabetes. The sample was taken using a consecutive sampling technique. The intervention given was stretching exercise for 4 weeks. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test statistical test showed that there was a difference between before and after the stretching exercise intervention on the functional status of the elderly, quality of life, general health dimensions, physical health, and social with a p-value (p=0.00), but there is no relationship on the psychological health and environmental dimension. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that stretching exercises can improve physical fitness, muscle mass and joint flexibility which have an impact on functional status and quality of life of the elderly. It is hoped that stretching exercise can be used as one nursing independent treatment to improve the quality of life of and increasing the independence of the elderly through the provision of education and regular physical exercise.

Diuron herbicide has been used in the pineapple plantation in Lampung, Indonesia, for more than 35 years. It has been realized that the use of herbicides with the same mode of action intensively can speed up the evolution of resistant weeds over a long period of time. This study aimed to determine whether Dactyloctenium aegyptium from pineapple plantation has evolved resistance to diuron and to examine whether the resistance correlates with the weed physiological activities. The study was conducted at the University of Lampung, from September 2018 to March 2019. The study consisted of two stages, i.e. Stage 1: Weed resistance test and Stage 2: Physiological activity test on resistant weed. The study used a split-plot design. The main plot was the origins of weeds (exposed and unexposed to diuron) and thhe supplots was the diuron dose. The result showed that D. aegyptium exposed has high-level resistance to diuron. The physiological activities of D. aegyptium which has a high level of diuron resistance exhibited higher carbon assimilation, stomatal conductance, and transpiration rates than the sensitive D. aegyptium.

The study investigates the roles of images and intermodal relationships of both language and images in two English textbooks used in Vietnamese lower secondary schools, namely Tieng Anh and Solutions textbooks to gain insights on the ways to optimise the use of both language and images as resources in teaching and learning activities. Kress and Van Leeuwen’s (1996, 2006) framework on the grammar of visual design is used to analyse the images, looking at the types of image representations and the compositional meanings. The language-image relationships in the books, on the other hand, are analysed using the framework of Intermodal Identification (Unsworth & Cleirigh, 2014). Intermodal identification is built on the notion that language complements the meaning of the image and vice versa. Language identifies image by glossing the image participants which are not encoded in the language elements. Image identifies language in three aspects: intensive to visualise quality such as shape, colour, or texture, possessive to visualise additional participants which are not explicitly addressed in the language and circumstantial to visualise the elements of locations in the language. While image in textbooks has always been considered essential as a source of teaching and learning materials as well as helping students to learn, this study suggests that the role of image is augmented when juxtaposed with the accompanying language. The study implies the need for further investigation, for example in the classroom action research on how language and image resources can be utilised in teaching and learning activities. Also, the result of the study may be replicated to analyse language-image relationship in different samples of textbooks. Identifikasi intermodal dibangun di atas gagasan bahwa bahasa melengkapi makna gambar dan sebaliknya. Bahasa mengidentifikasi gambar dengan mengilapkan peserta gambar yang tidak dikodekan dalam elemen bahasa. Gambar mengidentifikasi bahasa dalam tiga aspek: intensif untuk memvisualisasikan kualitas seperti bentuk, warna, atau tekstur, posesif untuk memvisualisasikan peserta tambahan yang tidak secara eksplisit dibahas dalam bahasa dan sirkumstansial untuk memvisualisasikan elemen lokasi dalam bahasa. Sementara gambar dalam buku teks selalu dianggap penting sebagai sumber bahan ajar dan pembelajaran serta membantu siswa untuk belajar, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran gambar bertambah ketika disandingkan dengan bahasa yang menyertainya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya penelitian lanjutan, misalnya dalam bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas untuk mengetahui bagaimana bahasa dan gambar dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Juga, hasil penelitian ini dapat direplika untuk menganalisis hubungan bahasa-gambar dalam sampel buku teks yang berbeda. Microstrip Antenna is widely developed and used in modern telecommunications equipment because of its advantages. Microstrip antenna is also used in 5G development which is expected to increase communication capacity and also be able to provide very large data rates. The frequency used in 5G is 28, 38, and 78 GHz. However, the 5G network with high frequency has a weakness: transmitted waves are vulnerable to weather because of their dense waveform. Therefore, the multiband is used to support different frequencies in one antenna. Furthermore, antenna reconfiguration is used to set the antenna to work on a different frequency and adjust different radiation patterns depending on the needs without changing the form of the antenna. This paper proposes the dual-band frequency reconfigurable antenna with RT Duroid 5880 as its substrate using PIN diodes placed between the main patch and secondary patch element and simulated on CST software for 28 GHz and 38 GHz with two conditions, ON and OFF. Both simulated and measured results show that the antenna can work well as intended. During the OFF condition, the antenna only works at 38 GHz, while in the ON condition, the antenna works at 28 GHz and 38 GHz, respectively.

Background: Pregnant women in urban poor societies are vulnerable groups. Due to low financial capacity, there are obstacles to accessing delivery in an institution for poor women in urban areas. The study analyses factors associated with the delivery place among pregnant women in urban poor society in Indonesia. Materials and Methods: The study analyzed secondary data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS). A total of 1,562 samples were childbearing-age women (15–49 years) who gave birth in an urban poor society in Indonesia in the last 5 years. The study examined some variables, such as delivery place, age, education, employment, marital status, parity, insurance, knowledge of pregnancy danger, antenatal care (ANC), the autonomy of health, and family finance autonomy. The study employed binary logistic regression in the final stage. Results: The results show that age is associated with the place of delivery. The higher the education, the higher the possibility for delivery in an institution. Being employed and having partners are protective factors for women in institution delivery. The likelihood of giving birth in a medical facility decreases as more children are born alive. In addition, having health insurance, thorough ANC visits, knowledge of pregnancy danger symptoms, and health autonomy are protective factors for pregnant women having deliveries in medical facilities. On the contrary, pregnant women who rely solely on family financing have a higher chance of delivering in a medical facility. Conclusion: The study concluded that 10 variables were associated with pregnant women's delivery in Indonesia's urban poor society: age, education, employment, marital, parity, insurance, pregnancy danger knowledge, ANC, health autonomy, and family finance autonomy.

Building and maintaining a relationship with the supervisor is crucial for a doctoral student to guarantee stable progress. One of the important aspects is owing to both written and spoken communication, for example, in email and direct conversations. This study examines sample communication activitie of three Indonesian doctoral students and their supervisors to unfold the construction of shared values between them. An appraisal system analyses the linguistic mechanism of engagement, attitude, and graduation systems through which power and relationship are built between first-year doctoral students and their supervisors.

The infestation of Anisakis spp. in Chub mackerel (Scomber japonicus) may have significant health and socioeconomic implications. Understanding the spatio-seasonal occurrence of Anisakis spp. in its host, S. japonicus, is crucial ecologically and for effective management. This research aimed to develop a predictive map (spatial-seasonal patterns) for Anisakis’s infestation in S. japonicus using the maximum entropy (MaxEnt) algorithm. Anisakis spp. and S. japonicus occurrences were obtained through a comprehensive Bibliographic analysis of the Scopus database (2017-2022) and the Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS) database to collect the necessary data. Environmental predictors were sourced from the Global Marine Environment Data. The resulting model demonstrated a reliable performance, as indicated by an Area Under Curve (AUC) value on the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) chart exceeding 0.8. The findings of this study revealed that the infestation of Anisakis spp. in S. japonicus is projected to be more prevalent during the fourth quarter of each year. Furthermore, the environmental factors influencing the infestation were identified as diffuse attenuation, water depth, and distance from the coast. These research outcomes can be a foundational reference for developing an effective control system for inspecting fresh or frozen fish within the quarantine department. By utilizing the spatial-seasonal patterns and environmental predictors identified in this study, authorities can implement targeted measures to prevent and mitigate the infestation of Anisakis spp. in S. japonicus, safeguarding public health and maintaining the quality of fish products.

One part of forensic anthropology involves investigating skeletal remains to identify corpses, and many of these remains were found incomplete, burned, broken, or destroyed, making investigation challenging. This study aims to use the pelvis and femur to identify the gender of skeletal remains. The pelvis and femur have previously been proven to be accurate indicators of a corpse's gender. The identification process is done through the measurement of the subpubic angle of the pelvis and the angle taken straight down from the top of the femur to the patella and then straight up. The two measurements were combined using the principal component analysis (PCA) method into two attributes on the x and y axes. These attributes were later used as data for the machine learning model design. The design process consisted of an Artificial Neutral Network (ANN) design model and Support Vector Machine (SVM) design model combined into a hybrid machine learning system. The ANN and SVM hybrid machine learning were tested with acquired data. The result of the test using the confusion matrix showed 83.33% accuracy, which is categorized as "good classification" based on Area Under the Curve (AUC).

Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) is a plant that can be used as a natural insecticide. Tobacco extracts can be made as alternative nanoinsecticides to be used as Aedes aegypti control. This study aims to obtain information on the toxicity of tobacco nanoinsecticides and obtain the LD50 of tobacco nanoinsecticides in mice. The research was conducted at the Center for Disease Vector and Reservoir Research and Development (B2P2VRP) with a pure experimental method. The results showed that the particle size ranged from 26.9; 53.7 and 89nm. The results of the metal content test with an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) showed the presence of Ag content in the nanoinsecticide solution made. Spectrophotometry measurements showed a peak at a wavelength of 420 nm and functional group bonds were formed. The characteristic SEM photo shows the particle morphology in the form of round-face crystals. The results of the toxicity test using the OECD 423 LD50 method at 2500mg/kg BB showed that tobacco nanoinsecticides were in the slightly toxic category. Administration of tobacco nanoinsecticides causes toxic symptoms in the form of decreased cardiac activity, convulsions, and decreased movement activity, while from the histopathological test results, the number of kidney injuries is in the range of 10 to 25%.

This paper creates a compact design of a 4×4 butler matrix integrated with an array of antenna elements at 38 GHz frequency. The antenna simulation performance is acceptable, approaching the ideal one. The butler matrix can generate four beams through the output port directly. Each input port 1, 2, 3, and 4 has beam direction, which is 42°, -19°, 19°, and -42°, respectively. The phase difference between output ports of the butler matrix is approaching 45° and 135°. Besides, antenna patch simulation has a good performance. The results are still acceptable after combining the butler matrix and four linear array antenna.

A security system is needed to prevent theft or other criminal acts. One of the implementations of a popular security system today is the Smart Lock System. This study discusses the design of an intelligent lock system using QR Code scanning as a locker key at the Library of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Riau. The design of the device system consists of one piece of ESP8266 Node MCU module, one piece of 12V Power Switch Adapter, one piece of AMS 1117 module with 3.3V and 5V output voltages, three pieces of 5V Relays, three pieces of 12V Solenoids. The security system has been improved compared with existing security systems, such as verification for personal data, email notification, and level login to get theft to treat notification. This paper also measured the delay of the device system. Based on measurement results, the average delay obtained is 1.66 seconds.

Introduction: Miscommunication can cause accidents in workplaces due to the ineffective occupational safety and health (OSH) communication. There are many factors of ineffective OSH communication, one of which is the language barriers. Thus, this research aims to unveil the types of language barriers and its relation to the effectivity of OSH communication in Indonesia. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional approach using a structured questionnaire was done in this research. The structured questionnaire survey was done among 102 workers in PT ABC, Indonesia. Spearman rho, a dedicated form of Pearson r, was used to determine the correlation between language barriers and effective OSH communication. Results: All of the types of language barriers except vernacular correlate positively, strongly and significantly to the effectivity of OSH communication (0.50 ≤ r ≤ 0.699, p-value < 0.05). Vernacular correlate positively, moderately, and significantly to the effectivity of OSH communication (r 0.497, p-value < 0.05). Conclusions: Based on the findings, OSH communication should be communicated accurately, clearly, and concisely in the language that everyone can understand.

The extraction of active substances from ant nests can be affected by various extraction methods, whether conventional or sonication. Sample extraction was carried out by maceration and ultrasonic methods with the use of solvents to yield flavonoid compounds. The solvents used were aquadest, 70% ethanol and n-hexane, with a material-to-solvent ratio of 1:50 (w/v). The highest flavonoid content of 14% was obtained by ultrasonic-assisted extraction method, with aquadest as the solvent and at operating conditions of 24 minutes at a temperature of 40oC. Due to their high aquadest solubility and the presence of one or more sulphate ions that are bound to the hydroxyl phenol or sugar, the flavonoids produced are classified as flavonoid sulphate.

Home and the residential environment are one of the risk factors for stunting. The level of knowledge determines residents' behavior, and knowledge is influenced by the exposure to information that a person receives. The purpose of community service activities is counseling about healthy homes and healthy behavior to Baduta mothers (children under two years) in the stunting locus, Langensari village, Pandeglang district. Extension activities were carried out on September 20, 2019, in Langensari village, Saketi District, Pandeglang Regency. Before the activity was carried out, the team carried out advocacy and licensing at the Saketi District Health Center and the Langensari Village Head. The method used in this activity is advocacy and socialization of activities and activities using extension media using posters and brochures. The target of the counseling is the Baduta mother. Participants will be assessed whether there is increased knowledge about healthy homes and healthy behavior before and after counseling (pre-post-test). The result of the educational activity was that the extension participants consisted of 39 Baduta mothers. The difference in the mean score of the pre-post-test was 0.821, and the extension activities could increase the participants' knowledge before and after counseling (p = 0.018).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai jenis auksin terhadap beberapa konsentrasi terhadap pengakaran Piper colubrinum. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lampung dari bulan Mei 2018 sampai Desember 2018. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 ulangan. perlakuan yang mengaplikasikan: kontrol, IBA 1500 ppm, IBA 2000 ppm, NAA 2000 ppm, NAA 750 ppm + IBA 750 ppm, NAA 1000 ppm + IBA 1000 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada variabel jumlah akar primer di buku pada perlakuan NAA 750 ppm + IBA 750 ppm nilai rata-rata meningkat yaitu 21 helai dibandingkan kontrol 2,5 helai. Pada perlakuan NAA 750 ppm + IBA 750 ppm berpengaruh pada peningkatan jumlah akar primer di penampang batang yaitu 14 dibandingkan dengan kontrol 11 helai. Demikian perlakuan NAA 750 ppm + IBA 750 ppm berpengaruh pada peningkatan jumlah akar primer yaitu 34,3 helai dibandingkan dengan kontrol 13,5 helai. Untuk variabel bobot basah akar nilai rata-rata NAA 750 ppm + IBA 750 ppm yaitu 11,8 g, nilai rata-rata ini lebih tinggi dibandingkan semua perlakuan.

This study was aimed to assess internal and external factors related to youths' consumption behavior towards roasted chicken products. Qualitative interview was conducted with 30 selected respondents aged 15–20, 21–25 and 26 to 30 from a university and two high schools at Serdang, Selangor. An audio recorder was used to gather qualitative data over two months. A thematic content analysis was applied to identify the needed information, comprising of transcription, coding and theme development. Results disclosed that respondents in this study implied physiological attributes (delicious, tastiness, crispy texture, good flavour, brown colour, smoky aroma, own eating preference), personality attributes (availability, good hygiene, health concern), reference groups (friends, family members) and culture (family lifestyle, early life feeding behaviour) as significant factors that drive their purchase of roasted chicken products. This study's results also disclosed that the most prioritized factors were brown colour, health concern, friends and family lifestyle. The results of this study further identify physiological and personality attributes as internal factors, and reference groups and culture as external factors. Hence, this study concluded that internal factors (physiological, personality) and external factors (reference groups, culture) as essential factors in influencing youths' purchase of roasted chicken products. Thus, this study's outcome is beneficial for the vendors to boost their sales as well as promoting better ways of selecting foods to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases amongst the youth in Malaysia.

Abstract Background Elagolix is effective and safe for treating menorrhagia in women with uterine fibroid. However, it is reported to be associated with hypoestrogenism that can be alleviated by adding estradiol/norethindrone acetate. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to determine the effectiveness of elagolix treatment in women with heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroid by comparing: elagolix versus placebo and elagolix versus estradiol/norethindrone acetate. Methodology The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL 2021, Issue 3 of 12), MEDLINE databases (1980 to December week 1, 2020), and trial registries for relevant randomized clinical trials were used. All randomized clinical trials were reviewed and evaluated. Random effects models were used to estimate the dichotomous outcomes and mean differences with 95% confidence intervals. Data for risk of bias, heterogeneity, sensitivity, reporting bias and quality of evidence were assessed. Results Four randomized controlled trials with 1949 premenopausal women from 323 locations were included. Elagolix improved menstrual blood loss of less than 80 ml (RR 4.81, 95% CI 2.45 to 9.45; four trials, 869 participants; moderate quality evidence) or more than 50% reduction from baseline (RR 4.87, 95% CI 2.55 to 9.31; four trials, 869 participants; moderate quality evidence) compared to placebo. There was no difference in menstrual blood loss of less than 80 ml (RR 1.08, 95% CI 1.00 to 1.16; five trials, 1365 participants; moderate quality evidence) or more than 50% reduction from baseline between the elagolix (RR 1.08, 95% CI 1.01 to 1.15; five trials, 1365 participants; high quality evidence) and elagolix with estradiol/norethindrone acetate. In both comparisons, elagolix has reduced the mean percentage change in uterine and fibroid volume, improved symptoms, and health-related quality of life. More patients had hot flush, and bone mineral density loss in the elagolix treatment compared to both placebo and elagolix with estradiol/norethindrone acetate. Conclusions Elagolix appeared to be effective in reducing heavy menstrual bleeding caused by uterine fibroid and combination with estradiol/norethindrone acetate was able to alleviate the hypoestrogenism side effects in premenopausal women. This paper presents the design, simulation, realization and analysis of flexible microstrip patch antenna for S-band applications. The proposed design also adopts the conformal structure by utilizing flexible substrate. Conformal or flexible structure allows the antenna to fit with any specified shape as desired. The antenna patch dimensions is 43 mm × 25 mm without SMA connector. The patch is etched on the flexible dielectric substrate, pyralux FR 9111, with a relative dielectric constant of εr = 3 and the thickness of substrate, h = 0.025 mm. The antenna is designed to resonate at 3.2 GHz. The return loss (RL) of the simulation is -35.80 dB at the center frequency of 3.2 GHz. The fabricated antenna prototype was measured at different bending angles scenarios including 0º, 30º, 60º, and 90º. The measurement of antenna prototype shows that the center frequency is shifted to the higher frequency of 3.29 GHz, compared to the simulation result. Among these scenarios, measurement at bending angle of 90º gives the best performance with RL = - 31.38 dB at 3.29 GHz, the bandwidth is 80 MHz, and the impedance ZA = 48.36 + j2.04 Ω. Despite a slight differences from simulation results, the designed antenna still performs well as expected.

There has been a considerable year-on-year increase in the number of women suffering from breast cancer. Early diagnosis is important for the early survival of victims. This study presents the development of a novel wearable and flexible Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) 2 × 4 antenna design, which operates at a frequency of 5.5–7 GHz for time-domain breast tumor detection. All antennas are located at the cup of the bra, which is divided into four quadrants; each quadrant has two antennas for tumor detection. The parameters S11 and S21 of each antenna are measured in the frequency domain. The measured results of S11 and S21 indicate that the antennas work well with/without the breast phantom model at the assigned frequency. For antenna five, located in the third quadrant (quadrant with tumors), the signal response of the antenna with the breast phantom model has a higher amplitude than that without the breast phantom model. These results demonstrate that the antennas work well for tumor detection.

A cationic complex of iridium(III), [Ir(2,4-F2ppy)2(F2bpyta)]PF6 utilizing 1,2,4-triazolepyridyl as an anchillary ligand modified with a 2,6-difluorobenzyl substituent was synthesized and characterized. The aromatic signals of pyridyltriazole and phenylpyridine proton were detected in the 1H-NMR spectrum between 10.00 and 7.00 ppm. Only one singlet peak was detected at 8.46 ppm H(8) shifted to the upfield, demonstrating that C5 was coordinated to the central iridium metal. The bands exhibited in the range of 1555–1431 cm–1 in the IR spectrum because of the C=C and C=N aromatic rings stretching pyridine, phenyl, and triazole vibrations. The UV-Vis absorption spectrum showed a slight and broad absorbance peak at lower energy at a lmax = 371 nm (e = 6129 M−1 cm−1) in the visible range due to 1MLCT and 3MLCT transitions. Blue emission was observed in the steady-state emission spectral of [Ir(2,4-F2ppy)2(F2bpyta)]PF6 and the other two previously synthesized iridium(III) complexes in CH2Cl2 solutions (air-equilibrated) at room temperature. The spectrum of luminescence for the [Ir(2,4-F2ppy)2(F2bpyta)]PF6 (lem = 461 nm) is blue-shifted when compared to the [Ir(2,4-F2ppy)2(hpyta)]PF6 (lem = 469 nm), but red-shifted when related to the [Ir(2,4-F2ppy)2(mbpyta)]PF6 (lem = 454 nm).

elderly. Various interventions are needed by the elderly to overcome the decline in mobility related to age. The purpose of this study is to identify the effectiveness of stretching exercise on the quality of life and functional status of the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus. test group design with one intervention group. The total sample in this study was 30 elderly with type 2 diabetes. The sample was taken using a consecutive sampling technique. The intervention given was stretching exercise for 4 weeks. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test statistical test showed that there was a difference between before and after the stretching exercise intervention on the functional status of the elderly, quality of life, general health dimensions, physical health, and social with a p-value (p=0.00), but there is no relationship on the psychological health and environmental dimension. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that stretching exercises can improve physical fitness, muscle mass and joint flexibility which have an impact on functional status and quality of life of the elderly. It is hoped that stretching exercise can be used as one nursing independent treatment to improve the quality of life of and increasing the independence of the elderly through the provision of education and regular physical exercise.

Correlation of macronutrient intake with body mass index, blood sugar levels, and total blood protein in drug users Background: Random blood sugar level and total blood protein need to be measured among drug users because their macronutrient intakes (carbohydrates, fat, protein, and energy) are not appropriate to the pattern of daily habits before uses drugs. Drug users had decreased appetite during the influence and withdrawal symptoms of drugs with the impacts on their body mass index (BMI). Objective: To analyze the correlation of macronutrient intakes between the random blood sugar level, total blood protein, and BMI drug users. Methods: This research was conducted with a cross-sectional design and observational study. 73 drug users were included in the study with the screening by inclusion criteria. 24-hour food recall was used to collect the macronutrient intakes, random blood sugar levels and total blood protein were monitored by the GOD-PAP method, and BMI was measured by weight and height. Data analysis used Pearson’s correlation test in bivariate and multivariate was carried out by multiple linear regressions. Results: Pearson’s correlation analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between macronutrient intakes (energy, carbohydrate, fat) with random blood sugar level, total blood protein, and BMI. BMI was the most affected by energy (β=0.531), random blood sugar level was the most affected by carbohydrates (β=0.073), and total blood protein was the most affected by protein (β=0.837). Conclusions: Macronutrient intake is significantly related to BMI, random blood sugar levels, and total blood protein in drug users. Community collaboration with related parties such as the public health service and National Narcotics Agency will very quickly detect drug side effects early on eating disorders that will affect the nutritional status of its users.

Functional electrical stimulation (FES) has been widely used to treat spinal cord injury (SCI) patients. Many research studies employ a closed-loop FES system to monitor the stimulated muscle response and provide a precise amount of charge to the muscle. However, most closed-loop FES devices perform poorly and sometimes fail when muscle nonlinearity effects such as fatigue, time delay response, stiffness, spasticity, and subject change happen. The poor performance of the closed-loop FES device is mainly due to discrepancies in the feedback control algorithms. Most of the existing feedback control algorithms were not designed to adapt to new changes in patients with different nonlinearity effects, resulting in early muscle fatigue. Therefore, this research proposes an adaptive sliding mode (SM) feedback control algorithm that could adapt and fine-tune internal control settings in real-time according to the current subject’s nonlinear and time-varying muscle response during the rehabilitation (knee extension) exercise. The adaptive SM feedback controller consists mainly of system identification, direct torque control, and tunable feedback control settings. Employing the system identification unit in the feedback control algorithm enables real-time self-tuning and adjusting of the SM internal control settings according to the current patient’s condition. Initially, the patient’s knee trajectory response was identified by extracting meaningful information, which included time delay, rise time, overshoot, and steady-state error. The extracted information was used to fine-tune and update the internal SM control settings. Finally, the performance of the proposed adaptive SM feedback control algorithm in terms of system response time, stability, and rehabilitation time was analysed using a nonlinear knee model. The findings from the simulation results indicate that the adaptive SM feedback controller demonstrated the best control performance in accurately tracking the desired knee angle movement by having faster response times, smaller overshoots, and lower steady-state errors when compared with the conventional SM across four reference angle settings (20°, 30°, 40°, and 76°). The adaptive feedback SM controller was also observed to compensate for muscle nonlinearities, including fatigue, stiffness, spasticity, time delay, and other disturbances.

This paper presents a dual-band antenna for the 5G system communication device. The MIMO antenna can potentially boost the capacity and transmission rates to a new level in a communication system. The MIMO 1x4 elliptic circular patch is designed at 24 GHz and 27.8 GHz. From the simulated S11 results, a single patch antenna provides -16.364 dB at 24 GHz and -35.44 dB at 27.86 GHz. While for the MIMO 1x4 patch, the simulated S11 of -15.563 dB and -21.889 dB are achieved at both 24 GHz and 27.8 GHz, respectively. It has a gain value of 9.04 dBi at the 24 GHz and a gain value of 6.56 dBi at the 27.8 GHz. These gains are higher than the gain obtained with a single element.

The research was aimed to evaluate differences on growth and yield of two shallot varieties under several levels of soil water table. It was conducted in experimental field and plastic house of Agriculture Faculty, Universitas Sriwijaya for three months in 2019. Materials used were shallot bulb from Tajuk and Pancasona varieties and biochar originated from oil palm empty fruit bunch. Factorial Randomized Block Design was used with two treatment factors and three replicates. First treatment was 2 shallot variety consisting Tajuk and Pancasona variety. Second treatment was level of soil water table including T0= 0 cm below soil surface; T1= 10 cm below soil surface; T2= 15 cm below soil surface; and T3= 20 cm below soil surface. The observed parameters consisted of plant height, leaf number, tiller number, total bulb fresh weight, bulb fresh weight, bulb dry weight, bulb number, bulb diameter, and root length. Results showed that shallot growth of Pancasona and Tajuk variety was highly affected by levels of soil water table. It was then concluded that Pancasona variety showed better growth performance and yield compared to Tajuk variety. The deeper soil water table reaching 20 cm below soil surface can reduce growth and yield of shallot.

Guci dance is one of the dance creations from the Guci area in Tegal Regency which had a characteristic in its variety of movements and it was used as a material for the extracurricular art of dance. This study aims to provide an overview of the value of the creative character of the Guci Dance, which was given through the extracurricular activities learning of dance. The study was conducted by using a qualitative analysis research method with the research location at SMP Negeri 2 Bumijawa in Tegal Regency. The instruments and data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and document study. The data validity technique used data triangulation technique. Meanwhile, data analysis and processing techniques were carried out by collecting, reducing, clarifying and verifying data. The results of the cultivation of creative character values through the extracurricular activities learning art of dance focused on 5 aspects, namely thinking in all directions, changing perspectives, generating ideas, stimulating backgrounds and skills in many ways.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan jumlah kepesertaan PBI pada BPJS Kesehatan Cabang Kota Pekanbaru. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode FIS Sugeno yang merupakan salah satu Fuzzy Inference System. Tahapan-tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu menentukan himpunan fuzzy, fungsi implikasi, dan defuzzyfikasi serta keakuratan peramalan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jumlah kepesertaan PBI dengan variable input BPBI dan Jamkesda dan PJKMU Askes menggunakan Metode FIS Sugeno memiliki nilai keakuratan yang mecapai 94,17%, hal ini berarti hasil peramalan yang dilakukan mendekati dengan jumlah kepesertaan sebenarnya

Makalah ini membahas perancangan jaringan indoor 4G LTE pada Gedung Rektor Universitas Riau menggunakan software aplikasi desktop Radiowave Propagation Simulator (RPS) 5.4. Perancangan jaringan indoor menggunakan model propagasi COST 231 Multi-Walls. Berdasarkan perhitungan area cakupan menggunakan model propagasi COST 231 Mulit-Wall yang telah dilakukan, dibutuhkan sebanyak 6 Femtocell Access Point (FAP) di setiap lantai. Analisis yang berhasil diperoleh dalam desain skenario posisi FAP pada tengah ruangan secara sejajar pada setiap lantai dengan level daya rata-rata -64,93 dBm dan SIR 6,72 dBm. Perancangan jaringan Femctocell 4G LTE menggunakan software RPS 5.4 dan model propagasi COST 231 Multi-Walls Mode dapat diterapkan ke Gedung Rektorat Universitas Riau.

Background. Glycogen storage disease type 1a (GSD1a) is a rare autosomal recessive metabolic disorder characterized by hypoglycaemia, growth retardation, lactic acidosis, hepatomegaly, hyperlipidemia, and nephromegaly. GSD1a is caused by a mutation in the G6PC gene encoding glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase); an enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of glucose-6-phosphate (G6P) to phosphate and glucose. Objective. To elaborate on the clinical findings, biochemical data, molecular genetic analysis, and short-term prognosis of 13 GSD1a patients in Malaysia. Methods. The information about 13 clinically classified GSD1a patients was retrospectively studied. The G6PC mutation analysis was performed by PCR-DNA sequencing. Results. Patients were presented with hepatomegaly (92%), hypoglycaemia (38%), poor weight gain (23%), and short stature (15%). Mutation analysis revealed nine heterozygous mutations; eight previously reported mutations (c.155 A > T, c.209 G > A, c.226 A > T, c.248 G > A, c.648 G > T, c.706 T > A, c.1022 T > A, c.262delG) and a novel mutation (c.325 T > C). The most common mutation found in Malaysian patients was c.648 G > T in ten patients (77%) of mostly Malay ethnicity, followed by c.248 G > A in 4 patients of Chinese ethnicity (30%). A novel missense mutation (c.325 T > C) was predicted to be disease-causing by various in silico software. Conclusions. The establishment of G6PC molecular genetic testing will enable the detection of presymptomatic patients, assisting in genetic counselling while avoiding the invasive methods of liver biopsy.

The development of the times and the rapid progress of the economy in Indonesia has made the business world currently required to take strategic steps in order to compete with other businesses, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The e-payment system makes it possible to provide convenience in transactions rather than using cash. In addition to increasing payment efficiency, increasing customer loyalty and further increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of time. This study aims to analyze the effect of e-payment gateways on the performance of MSMEs in the food and beverage sector in Pangkalpinang City. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a sample of MSME actors in the food and beverage sector in Pangkalpinang City, totaling 100 respondents. The data analysis tool used in this study used SPSS Version 24 with multiple linear regression tests. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that e-payment has a positive and significant effect on the performance of micro, small and medium enterprises because e-payment activities are able to provide convenience for transactions, increase time efficiency and effectiveness, reduce costs required for various payment documents that are done manually.

This paper reports on an investigation into the reading path patterns in a children’s picture book. The primary investigation focused on the semiotic resources involved in the construction of meanings in picture books, i.e. language and image elements. These semiotic resources provide insights into the unfolding of the storylines in the observed picture book. In order to detail the roles of these resources, a picture book entitled Tacky the Penguin (Lester, 1988) was selected and examined by employing two methods: Kress and Van Leeuwen’s (1996, 2006) structure of information value and Royce’s (1998) Intersemiotic Complementarity. The results of the analysis suggest that the whole picture book is built from a page-by-page reading path that allows for a linear and non-linear reading path. While each page presents a different layout of information value, the general pattern leads to a linear reading path from the beginning up to the end of the picture book. The mapping of the reading path is reinforced by the interrelated meanings between verbal and visual resources on the page. Drawing on the analysis results, this paper offers the delve into the flow of information from the language and image resources in the picture books that can be used to inform practical use of picture books in EFL classrooms.

This study is about analysis of textual meanings in English textbook instructions. The main purpose of this study is to analyse the textual meanings found in the textbook instructions to support the learning objectives. Textual meaning is indicated by Theme and Rheme within the clauses. Halliday and Matthiessen (2014) said that theme is coded by three elements, they are topical, textual and interpersonal. The student textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris Kelas X 2017 Revision published by The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture was chosen as the object of the study because it is the most widely used textbook in state shools in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the data were the instruction clauses in Chapters 1-7 (the first semester) of the textbook. The findings show that the English textbook instructions in Chapters 1-7 contains Unmarked Topical Theme (76%), Textual Theme (17%), Marked Topical Theme (5%), and Interpersonal Theme (2%). Unmarked Topical Theme is the most dominant type of Theme found in the clauses which is realized by verb. It is in line with the dominant mood type of the instruction, that is imperative which thematized verb in the clauses (Halliday and Mattheissein, 2014). It can be inferred that the instructions are clear and concise which meant that the instructions were good enough to support the learning objectives (Flake, 2017). Thus, it is concluded that instructions in Chapters 1-7 have good choices of Theme which meets the characteristics of good instructions to support the learning objectives

Energy consumption is one of the most important, for it is necessary to control the use of home lighting as needed. Monitoring is important, in order to know the quality of electricity supply in the system, identifying disruption events, and to calculate the amount of electrical energy consumption periodically. To achieve the objectives mentioned above, two schemes for home control and monitoring the electrical quantities in real-time have been developed. The first scheme presents Bluetooth based home control. It uses an HC-05 Bluetooth module and Bluetooth Controller mobile application for switching on / off the appliances. Relay and LEDs are used as loads to demonstrate the working of the system. This system is based on Arduino Uno microcontroller board. Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is used for developing the necessary software. The second scheme uses the current sensor ACS712-20A for monitoring of voltage, current, and energy consumption. The measurement results include voltage, current, power, and the amount of energy consumption that is displayed by LCD 16*2.

This study aims to reveal the coherence of 19 analytical exposition texts written by the fourth semester students of English Department of UNNES through analysis of schematic structure, thematic choices, and thematic developments. Coherence is an essential component to create a make-sense text. Thus, it is very important to know the students’ competency in writing a good text. This study applied a qualitative approach. It employed theories of schematic structure based on stages proposed by Gerot and Wignell (1995), thematic choices from Gerot and Wignell (1995) and thematic developments by Eggins (2004). The findings indicated that students preferably used topical Theme (67.79%) and textual Theme (30.42%). In addition, in terms of thematic developments, Theme Reiteration is the commonest pattern applied by the students. Based on the findings, students’ texts were less coherence because there were several texts having an incomplete thesis at the beginning of the paragraph and one text leaving 1 out of 3 stages of exposition text. Furthermore, the over-use of Theme Reiteration might show that the students’ writing skill is low because they could not elaborate their ideas through various methods. In short, the students could be regarded as novice writers.
