1. Atmospheric aerosol compositions over the South China Sea: temporal variability and source apportionment

Abstract

In order to evaluate impacts of different source emission on marine atmospheric particles over the South China Sea (SCS), major inorganic ionic concentrations (Na+, Cl−, SO42−, Ca2+, Mg2+, K+, NH4+ and NO3−) were determined in total suspended particulates (TSPs) at Yongxing Island, from March 2014 to February 2015. The annual average concentration of TSPs was 89.6 ± 68.0 µg m−3, with 114.7 ± 82.1, 60.4 ± 27.0 and 59.5 ± 25.6 µg m−3 in cool, warm and transition seasons, respectively. Cl− had the highest concentration, with an annual average of 7.73 ± 5.99 µg m−3, followed by SO42− (5.54 ± 3.65 µg m−3), Na+ (4.00 ± 1.88 µg m−3), Ca2+ (2.15 ± 1.54 µg m−3), NO3− (1.95 ± 1.34 µg m−3), Mg2+ (0.44 ± 0.33 µg m−3), K+ (0.33 ± 0.22 µg m−3) and NH4+ (0.07 ± 0.07 µg m−3). Concentrations of TSPs and the major ions showed seasonal variations, which were higher in the cool season and lower in the warm and transition seasons. Factors of influence were wind speed, temperature, relatively humidity, rain and air mass source region. Back trajectories, concentration-weighted trajectories (CWTs), and positive matrix factorization (PMF) of chemical compositions were analyzed for source apportionment, source contribution and spatiotemporal variation of major ions. Back trajectories and CWTs showed that air masses at Yongxing Island were mainly from the northeast, southwest and southeast in the cool, warm and transition seasons, respectively. The PMF results showed that 77.4 % of Na+ and 99.3 % of Cl− were from sea salt; 60.5 % of NH4+ was from oceanic emission. Anthropogenic sources were very important for atmospheric aerosols over the island. Secondary inorganic aerosol of SO2 and NOx from fossil fuel combustion (especially coal in Chinese coastal regions) was the dominant source of NO3− (69.5 %) and SO42− (57.5 %).

2. [Sarcomatoid variant of ALK-positive anaplastic large cell lymphoma: report of a case]

Abstract

间变性淋巴瘤激酶（ALK）阳性间变性大细胞淋巴瘤以普通型多见，肉瘤样型ALK阳性间变性大细胞淋巴瘤国内罕见报道。本文报道1例发生于31岁女性腹腔的肉瘤样变异型ALK阳性间变大细胞淋巴瘤，镜下观察见梭形细胞区呈编织状排列，梭形肿瘤细胞核呈泡状、具明显嗜酸性核仁，另见核形态多样的标志性细胞（hallmark cells）。免疫组织化学染色显示肿瘤细胞呈CD30弥漫强阳性，可见核旁高尔基体点状阳性，ALK（5A4）、ALK（D5F3）均呈核质强阳性表达。荧光原位杂交检测显示ALK基因断裂阳性，T细胞克隆性评估检测到单克隆重排。肉瘤样型ALK阳性间变性大细胞淋巴瘤极易误诊为软组织肉瘤，正确诊断需结合临床资料、组织学形态特征、免疫组织化学及分子遗传学综合判断。.

Abstract

宫内感染巨细胞病毒是胎儿中枢神经系统发育异常最常见的原因之一。该文报道1例产前诊断中心送检死胎，尸体解剖发现左、右侧脑室明显扩张，多个脏器组织切片内见巨细胞包涵体，脑实质呈明显病毒性脑炎改变，病理解剖诊断：播散性先天性巨细胞病毒感染合并脑室扩张畸形。尸检提示：（1）临床上对于巨细胞病毒抗体IgM阳性孕母，应更积极地进行产前辅助检查，明显发育异常胎儿可选择终止妊娠。（2）先天性巨细胞病毒感染可导致严重的中枢神经系统发育畸形，巨细胞病毒晚期蛋白免疫组织化学染色可作为诊断病毒性脑炎的辅助手段。.

免疫缺陷患者易发生EB病毒相关平滑肌肿瘤（Epstein-Barr virus-associated smooth muscle tumors，EBV-SMT），肾移植术后发生的EBV-SMT罕见。我们报道1例25岁男性患者肾移植后9年罹患EBV-SMT，结合国外文献，就实质器官移植后EBV-SMT的临床表现、病理学特征及预后进行探讨，以期提高病理工作者对器官移植后EBV-SMT的认识。.

Abstract

On 17th June 2017, a 50 years old man with refractory gout was admitted in our hospital. During the treatment, he was accompanied by intermittent fever (39 to 40 ℃) of unknown origin for 60 days and gastrointestinal bleeding, with difficult wound repair. After comprehensive treatment of thorough debridement, vacuum sealing drainage, skin graft, skin flap repair, and drug administration, the patient was discharged fully recovered on post hospitalization day 104.2017年6月17日笔者单位收治1例50岁男性难治性痛风患者。其治疗期间不明原因间歇性高热(39～40 ℃)持续长达60 d，合并消化道出血，创面修复难度大。经过彻底清创、负压封闭引流、植皮、皮瓣修复及药物治疗等综合治疗，患者住院104 d后痊愈出院。.

6. [Wet cement skin burns]

Abstract

Under certain condition, wet cement can cause skin chemical burns, which belongs to alkaline burns. As the symptoms are insidious in onset, the patients may be initially unaware of the injury until several hours later. It often causes full-thickness burns especially in knees, the lower limbs, and ankles. The prevalence of wet cement burns may be hugely underestimated. This article reviews the definition, occurrence, progress of injury and pathogenesis, clinical characteristics and diagnosis, and treatment and prevention of wet cement skin burns, in order to promote its prevention.

7. Relationship between levels of inflammatory cytokines in the peripheral blood and the severity of depression and anxiety in patients with Parkinson's disease

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the relationship between expression of inflammatory cytokines in the peripheral blood and the severity of depression and anxiety in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD).Between January 2012 and December 2015, 62 PD patients admitted to our institution were included in the PD group, and 62 healthy subjects seeking health check-up at our institution during the same period of time were enrolled in the control group. Levels of inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1b, IL-6, interferon-g (INF-g), hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) and soluble IL-2 receptor (sIL-2R), were measured by using Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) were used to assess the severity of depression and anxiety, respectively.A total of 124 subjects were included into PD group and control group, 62 for each. No significant differences were observed in the gender, age, body mass index (BMI), smoking history and alcohol history between two groups (p0.05). Levels of IL-1b, IL-6, TNF-a, hsCRP and sIL-2R were significantly higher in patients of PD group than those in the control group (p0.05). HAMD and HAMA scores in PD group were significantly higher than those in the control group [(22.74 ± 6.34), (20.90 ± 5.86) vs. (2.17±3.46), (3.79 ± 3.55), p0.05]. HAMD and HAMA scores were positively correlated with the levels of TNF-a, hsCRP and sIL-2R in the peripheral blood of PD patients (p0.05).Expression of inflammatory cytokines are elevated in the peripheral blood of PD patients, and the severity of depression and anxiety is correlated with levels of TNF-a, hsCRP and sIL-2R in the peripheral blood of these patients.

8. Expressions of serum inflammatory cytokines and their relationship with cerebral edema in patients with acute basal ganglia hemorrhage

Abstract

The aim of the present study is to investigate expressions of inflammatory cytokines and their relationship with cerebral edema in the patients with acute basal ganglia hemorrhage.Between January 2015 and March 2016, 94 patients with acute basal ganglia hemorrhage admitted to our institution were included in the present study. Serum levels of interleukin (IL)-4, IL-6, IL-8 and IL-10 were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and conditions of cerebral edema were evaluated using head CT upon admission, 1d after admission and 3d after admission, respectively.Serum levels of IL-4, IL-6 and IL-8 peaked 1d after admission and decreased 3d after admission with statistical significance (p0.05); the IL-10 level was continuously increased after admission and peaked 3 days after admission with statistical significance (p0.05). Cerebral edema was not observed in any of these patients upon admission, while occurred with a maximal edema volume 1 day after admission and the volume decreased 3 days after admission with statistical significance (p0.05). Correlation analysis showed that levels of IL-4, IL-6 and IL-8 were positively correlated with severity of cerebral edema (r=0.324, 0286, 0.305, p0.05 respectively), whereas IL-10 level was negatively correlated with severity of cerebral edema (r=-0.336, p0.05).Serum levels of IL-4, IL-6 and IL-10 are positively correlated while the IL-10 level is negatively correlated with the severity of the cerebral edema in patients with acute basal ganglia hemorrhage.
