Abstract

In order to solve the problem of safety assessment effectively for subsea oil and gas pipeline,the rules about pipeline residual strength changing with the defect geometric information such as length,width and depth were analyzed using finite element method（ FEM）,and on this basis the parameterized model of pipeline residual strength was obtained,and the unknown coefficients in the model were identified using improved genetic algorithm,thus the model can describe the quantitative relation between the residual strength and defect geometrical quantity. The experimental results show that the model is more reliable than the existing pipeline assessment criteria,it can be effectively used in residual strength analysis for subsea pipeline,the analysis results can provide theoretical basis for pipeline safety assessment.

Abstract

Audience interest, demography, purchase behavior and other possible classifications are ex- tremely important factors to be carefully studied in a targeting campaign. This information can help advertisers and publishers deliver advertisements to the right audience group. How- ever, it is not easy to collect such information, especially for the online audience with whom we have limited interaction and minimum deterministic knowledge. In this paper, we pro- pose a predictive framework that can estimate online audience demographic attributes based on their browsing histories. Under the proposed framework, first, we retrieve the content of the websites visited by audience, and represent the content as website feature vectors; second, we aggregate the vectors of websites that audience have visited and arrive at feature vectors representing the users; finally, the support vector machine is exploited to predict the audience demographic attributes. The key to achieving good prediction performance is preparing representative features of the audience. Word Embedding, a widely used tech- nique in natural language processing tasks, together with term frequency-inverse document frequency weighting scheme is used in the proposed method. This new representation ap- proach is unsupervised and very easy to implement. The experimental results demonstrate that the new audience feature representation method is more powerful than existing baseline methods, leading to a great improvement in prediction accuracy.

Abstract

The magnetization of nano ferrofluid is lower than that of micrometer magnetorheological fluid, which limits its application in seals, dampers, and various other fields. To enhance the ferrofluid performance, this paper incorporates large-diameter magnetic particles into the ferrofluid to strengthen chaining among nanoparticles. A matrix discrete element method model is constructed to investigate the strengthening mechanism of large-diameter magnetic particles on ferrofluid nanoparticle chaining. Additionally, the chain formation process involving both large and small particles and the influence of large particle volume fractions on chain length, particle number, and yield strength are studied based on the simulation. The results show that small particles and large particles together constitute different complex structures, such as the columnar structure and column-net structure under the strong magnetic dipole force of the large particles, leading to the high chain structure strength. In addition, the chain formation speed, average chain length, average particle number, yield strength, and additional viscosity are influenced by the volume fractions and particle sizes of large particles. Abstract

In the hot stamping process, the friction and wear interaction between the high-temperature sheet metal and the water-cooled die has a significant impact on the final quality of the product and the durability of the die. Currently, most research on the wear of the stamped parts during the hot stamping process mainly involves analyzing the wear morphology and wear mechanism of the sheet surface, and there is little research on its wear assessment. In this study, to better assess the forming quality of hot stamping parts, the research takes the direct hot stamping of galvanized ultra-high-strength steel sheets as the object and proposes a wear amount calculation method of galvanized ultra-high-strength steel sheets based on the real contact area of the high-temperature sheet metal and the water-cooled tools. At different temperature conditions, the galvanized layer and steel substrate have different mechanical properties. The model is validated using the sheet characteristics at 650 °C, 700 °C, and 750 °C. The results indicate that the model can predict the wear of the galvanized steel sheet under different conditions within a certain range. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
