In this milieu, and with a population of around 20 million, an efficient public transport system is an utmost necessity that cannot be denied. Therefore, the federal and provincial governments and the city authorities need to come up with an intelligent transport system (ITS) to address issues like congestion, cost, commute time and capital expenditure on having an effective system.
