Abstract

Low carbon is the future development trend of new power system, and the simulation of horizontal annual carbon trading volume at the planning level plays an important role in realizing the low-carbon economic operation of future power grid. Based on this understanding, a robust planning method for transmission network considering adaptive decision-making of carbon trading volume is proposed. First, a measurement method of carbon quota trading cost based on the baseline method is constructed, and a two-stage robust programming model considering the uncertainty of wind power and load is established considering the constraint of carbon trading volume. Then, the relax-and-enforce decoupling method is used to decouple the sub-problem into security feasibility detection sub-problem and low carbon feasibility detection sub-problem according to time, and the two-stage robust programming model is solved by using the column and constraint generation algorithm. Based on the cut information feedback from the security constraint and the carbon quota trading volume constraint in each uncertain scenario, the mapping relationship between the feasible solution space of the model and the setting of the threshold parameter of carbon quota trading volume is analyzed, and the upper and lower limits of carbon trading volume are adaptively decided. Finally, the improved IEEE-RTS 24-node system is simulated to analyze the impacts of the low-carbon planning model, carbon quota trading volume, and carbon price on the planning results. The results show that the proposed model realizes the coordinated optimization of the planning scheme in terms of economy and low carbon.

13. An improved energy‐efficient driving strategy for routes with various gradients and speed limits.

Abstract

With the increasing concerns about railway energy efficiency, two typical driving strategies have been used in actual train operation. One includes a sequence of full power traction, cruising, coasting, and full braking (CC). The other uses coasting–remotoring (CR) to replace cruising in CC. However, energy‐saving performance by CC and CR, which can be affected by route parameters of gradients and speed limits, has not been fully compared and studied. This paper analyses the energy distribution of CC and CR considering various route parameters and proposes an improved strategy for different gradients and speed limits. The detailed energy flow of CC and CR is analysed by Cauchy–Bunyakovsky–Schwarz inequality and the generalised Hölder's inequality, and then, a novel driving strategy CC_CR is designed. To verify the theoretical results and the effectiveness of the proposed strategy, three simulators with CC, CR, and CC_CR driving modes have been developed and implemented into case studies of four scenarios as well as a real‐world metro line. Simulation results demonstrate that CR can only outperform CC on routes with steep downhill and CC_CR is always the best strategy. The energy savings of CC_CR can be as much as 15% more than CR and 42% greater than CC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

At present, the development of electric vehicles (EV) is limited by the lack of charging facilities. While the construction of charging stations is slowing down because of the small ownership of EV and the high operational cost. The mobile charging vehicles (MCV) are proposed to replace the charging station. At first, this paper introduces the MCV’s operation architecture. Then the spatial charging demand is estimated based on the travel chain. At last, the allocation method of mobile charging vehicles is studied in detail with the result of estimation result. Abstract

SiC MOSFETs are increasingly used in various power electronic converters due to their low switching losses, high operating frequency and high power applicability. The crosstalk phenomenon which will lead shoot-through in bridge-leg configuration and overvoltage breakdown of the device is more serious due to the high switching speed characteristics. In this paper, a smart self-driving crosstalk suppression gate driver is proposed based on the resistor–capacitor–diode (RCD) level shifter circuit for SiC MOSFETs, in which a low impedance branch of Miller clamping circuit is provided for the crosstalk current. In addition, no extra control signal is required which does not increase the complexity of the driver circuit. Then, by modeling the equivalent circuit of the proposed gate driver, the quantization relationship between the clamping capacitor and the crosstalk voltage is derived. Finally, a double-pulse test platform is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed gate driver under different clamping capacitors, input voltage and load current conditions. The experimental results show that the proposed gate driver can suppress the crosstalk voltage effectively. Meanwhile, the switching loss is reduced by a maximum of 16.6% by using the designed clamping capacitor under 600 V/20 A, while ensuring the switching speed.

Abstract

Development and utilization of renewable energy is an effective way to deal with global warming. In this context, integrated electricity–heat–gas energy system (IEHGES) provides a new way for the efficient use of renewable energy. Existing IEHGES planning methods focus on the improvement of cost and energy efficiency, while not designing a capacity configuration scheme for high renewable energy penetration scenarios. Here, a coordinated planning method for IEHGES considering renewable energy consumption is proposed. Firstly, electricity/gas/heat storage, electric boiler and power to gas are co‐configured to realize heat‐electricity decoupling operation of combined heat and power, providing flexible and controllable electricity supply for the system. Then, coordinated planning method of IEHGES is proposed which takes into account the coordination of multi‐energy and the coordination between optimal planning and optimal operation. The spare capacity factors are included in the planning and cost of environmental penalty and renewable energy generation subsidy are included in operation cost. In view of the uncertainties, complementary characteristics between electricity, gas and heat supply systems in IEHGES are combined with k‐means to obtain optimal schemes of coordinated planning. Abstract

The field of mobile robotics has seen significant growth regarding the use of indoor laser mapping technology, but most two-dimensional Light Detection and Ranging (2D LiDAR) can only scan a plane of fixed height, and it is difficult to obtain the information of objects below the fixed height, so inaccurate environmental mapping and navigation mis-collision problems easily occur. Although three-dimensional (3D) LiDAR is also gradually applied, it is less used in indoor mapping because it is more expensive and requires a large amount of memory and computation. Therefore, a laser data compensation algorithm based on indoor depth map enhancement is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the depth map acquired by the depth camera is removed and smoothed by bilateral filters to achieve the enhancement of depth map data, and the multi-layer projection transformation is performed to reduce the dimension to compress it into pseudo-laser data. Secondly, the pseudo-laser data are used to remap the laser data according to the positional relationship between the two sensors and the obstacle. Finally, the fused laser data are added to the simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) front-end matching to achieve multi-level data fusion. The performance of the multi-sensor fusion before and after is compared with that of the existing fusion scheme via simulation and in kind. The experimental results show that the fusion algorithm can achieve a more comprehensive perception of environmental information and effectively improve the accuracy of map building.
