The report of the 20th CPC National Congress pointed out that it is necessary to "develop and strengthen the medical and health care workforce, focusing efforts on rural areas and communities". General practitioners (GPs) are the "gatekeepers" of residents' health and medical expenses, and play an important role in basic medical and health services. Training applied and complex new-age GPs who can be deployed, retained and utilized is an important step in promoting the construction of a healthy China. On the basis of Training Development Report of GPs (2018), this report systematically reviews the team construction, training and education, reform of utilization and incentive mechanism of GPs in China from 2018 to the present, and puts forward the future outlook of GPs in China in the hope that it can provide information for further research on general practice in China.

Carrier recombination behavior in c-plane GaN-based laser diodes (LDs) is numerically investigated by using the commercial software LASTIP. It is found that efficiency droop phenomenon does exist in GaN-based LDs before lasing, which is confirmed by experimental results. However, the current density corresponding to the peak efficiency of GaN-based LDs before lasing, Jmax, is nearly 40 A/cm2, which is much lower than that reported by other studies. The reported Jmax, measured from the cavity facet side is modulated by the absorption of quantum wells, which shifts the Jmax to a higher value. In addition, the currents due to various recombinations are calculated. It is found that Auger recombination affects the threshold current greatly, but it only plays a small role at high current injection levels.

High PM 2.5 concentration is the main feature of increasing haze in developing states, but information on its microbial composition remains very limited. This study aimed to determine the composition of microbiota in PM 2.5 in Guangzhou, a city located in the tropics in China. In Guangzhou, from March 5th to 10th, 2016, PM 2.5 was collected in middle volume air samplers for 23 h daily. The 16S rDNA V4 region of the PM 2.5 sample extracted DNA was investigated using high-throughput sequence. Among the Guangzhou samples, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Cyanobacteria , and Actinobacteria were the dominant microbiota accounting for more than 90% of the total microbiota, and Stenotrophomonas was the dominant gram-negative bacteria, accounting for 21.30%–23.57%. We examined the difference in bacterial distribution of PM 2.5 between Beijing and Guangzhou at the genus level; Stenotrophomonas was found in both studies, but Escherichia was only detected in Guangzhou. In conclusion, the diversity and specificity of microbial components in Guangzhou PM 2.5 were studied, which may provide a basis for future pathogenicity research in the tropics. We report on the formation of Ohmic contacts with low resistance and high thermal stability to N-face n-GaN for vertical structure light emitters using a Ti(50nm)/Pt(50nm)/Au(50nm) metal scheme, where the Pt layer is introduced as a blocking layer to suppress the diffusion of Au onto the N-face n-GaN surface. It is shown that unlike the conventional Ti/Al/Ti/Au contacts, the Ti/Pt/Au contacts exhibit an Ohmic behavior with a relatively low specific contact resistivity of 1.1×10-4 Ω·cm2 even after annealing at 350°C. This work reports a significant improvement in efficiency by optimizing the via-like n-electrode architecture design of a GaN-based thin-film LED grown on a 6-inch silicon substrate. The external quantum efficiency of the as-fabricated 1.1 mm × 1.1 mm via-thin-film LED chip at 350 mA was increased by 11.3% compared to that of a vertical thin-film LED chip with a conventional finger-like n-electrode. Detailed analysis of encapsulation gain and false color emission patterns illustrated that the significantly improved LED performance was due to enhanced light extraction efficiency and more uniform current spreading, both of which can be attributed to the optimized via-thin-film chip structure. Minimizing the light loss at the periphery of the Ag mirror was demonstrated to be a critical factor for improving light extraction, rather than simply replacing the finger-like n-electrodes with via-like ones. After encapsulation, the median blue lamp power and the wall-plug efficiency of the via-thin-film LED at 350 mA reached 659 mW and 63.7%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
