In this article, according to the reliability appraisal of the structure of a heavy industrial plant which is near service limit years, we found several major safety hazard issues and proposed corrective measures to reinforce. On the basis of structural calculation and analysis, we could determine whether to upgrade the crane and propose the corresponding feasibility upgrade project, which can provide the basis for other similar identification.

There exists a problem of endpoint effect in EMD, which makes the result of decomposition not perfect. The paper comes up with a kind of envelope correction method to suppress the endpoint effect on this question about periodical signal. The result shows that, the method can solve the problem on distortion of envelope, and improve the accuracy of decomposition.

This paper proposed a new software-based Content Distribution Network (CDN) model. First, we overviewed some related technologies of CDN. Then, software CDN model was built, and the key strategies of load balancing, content distribution and file transfer were explored in the software CDN model. Also in this model, the load balancing algorithm based on load equilibrium with latency and the content distribution algorithm of the non-hot media based on Markov prediction were discussed in detail. Finally, an on-demand video system was designed to verify the feasibility of the proposed model.

A new threshold function was proposed to overcome that hard threshold function is not continuous, soft threshold function has constant deviation and derivative discontinuity defects. It will be applied to using different thresholds denoising method with different decomposition level based on the D.J global threshold. Experimental results shows that the denoising result of new threshold function is superior to the traditional soft and hard threshold function in minimum mean square error (MSE) and peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR).

The paper proposes a particle pair optimization (PPO) algorithm for numerical optimization. In the paper, a particle pair search(PPS) is designed. Based on PPS, the competitive roulette strategy is employed to the selection of particle pair from swarm, and a particle pair optimization algorithm is proposed. In the experiments, PPO is applied to solve the 12 benchmark problem, and compared with fast evolutionary programming (FEP). The results demonstrate that PPO algorithm can find optima or close-to-optimal solutions of the complex functions with high-dimension, and the search of PPO is stable and efficient.

This paper describes an experimental study on non-linearity critical strain energy release rate for frozen soil. Cracked single edge straight-through specimen and cracked chevron-notched specimen were used in test of three-point bending under mode I. The traditional equipment was reformed as the load applied direction was down-up, and dye penetration technique was also applied in. Measured technique and principle of non-linearity critical strain energy release rate are discussed. Some preliminary results are given out.

Some tests including tensile test, bending test and shear test have been done to fibre-reinforced sandwich core boards which are ready applied to high speed train. Fibre laying craftwork is introduced in the paper and the test results show that the uniformity of fibre laying craftwork is good. The laying fibres have effective enhanced axial strength and modulus of fibre-reinforced sandwich core board. The reinforce influence degree to modulus is greater than strength.

New-style ketchup packaging composite board box is an important technical innovation in ketchup packaging and has broad market prospect because of its economic and recyclable. Some tests including material property test and assembly property test have been done on the new-style composite board box. Different thickness boards such as 20mm, 25mm and 28mm have been tested in the paper. The results show that new-style composite board box can meet the requirements of ketchup packing.

Finite element method has been used to analysis the stress of inner pipes of low temperature storage tank for LNG caused by temperature, pressure and weight. Filling liquid state, storing liquid state and unloading liquid state are considered in this paper. The results show that the stress of the top pipes would be the largest under filling liquid state which is only little larger than storing liquid state. The stress of the bottom pipes would be the largest under storing liquid state. The deformation of the inner container of the tank would influence the stress distribution. Choosing a flexible structure as designing the bottom pipes is reasonable.

Friction-type high-strength bolt connectors are widely used in steel structure. However there has only general description for connection plate surface treatment method in the current Chinese design standards. Some research tests have been designed for different connection plate surface treatment method, which include different painting thickness and different blasting method. The results show that different treatment method has different anti-sliding coefficient. The anti-sliding coefficient would decrease with the surface coating thickness increase. The anti-sliding coefficient would less than 0.50 which the Chinese design standard required when some surface treatment methods are used, such as using steel wire section or using mixture of steel wire section and steel shot to sand blasting. So procedure qualification test is necessary to guide processing in order to ensure the quality of the products. It has certain conference value for practical engineering.

the paper proposes a stochastic differential search operator (SDSO) which can traverse the numerical object space (eg. ), and a Multi-Role particle swarm which can be differentiated into the different roles to search the objective space using the different strategies. Based on the SDSO and the Multi-Role particle swarm, a Multi-Role particle swarm algorithm (MRPSA) for numerical optimization is proposed. In the test experiment, 6 unconstrained benchmark functions are used to demonstrate the performance of MRPSA. The results show that MRPSA can find the optimal or close-to-optimal solutions of those benchmark functions efficiently.

The design analysis of vertical lathe auxiliary equipment for large pressure vessel processing has been done in this paper. The finite element method has been used to find the main factors which influence the processing precision. The results show that the main factor influencing maximum displacement of overall structure is not the vertical lathe cutting force but the weight of the large pressure vessel. So it is unreasonable to control the processing precision by the whole structure maximum displacement. The horizontal displacement is the main factor in controlling processing precision. The pressure vessel work piece sits on the top plate of the vertical lathe auxiliary equipment. So the displacement of the top plate of the vertical lathe auxiliary equipment is the main factor influencing processing precision. This kind of design thinking has been successfully applied in three type large pressure vessels. It has certain reference value in similar design.

Glioma is a highly invasive, rapidly spreading form of brain cancer that is resistant to surgical and medical treatment. The recent progresses made in intracellular and ion channels of glioma cells provide a potential new approach for biochemical therapy of brain tumor. In this paper, we reviewed clinical data on chemotherapy by temozolomide and results from new studies on voltage-gated potassium channels, large-conductance Ca(2+)-activated K(+) channels, volume-activated chloride channels, glioma-specific chloride channel and their modulators. These new findings may represent future directions for brain tumor studies and treatment.

We previously reported that iodine-131((131)I)-labeled anti-pro-gastrin-releasing peptide (ProGRP(31-98)) monoclonal antibody D-D3 could selectively accumulate in the tumor sites of nude mice bearing small cell lung cancer (SCLC) xenografts. However, (131)I-D-D3 was cleared slowly from the body, and the best radioimmunoimaging time for SCLC was 72 - 96 hours after injection. The aims of this study were to radiolabel anti-ProGRP(31-98) D-D3 monoclonal antibody with technetium-99m ((99m)Tc) and to investigate the biodistribution of this antibody in healthy ICR mice.D-D3 was labeled with (99m)Tc via the 2-mercaptoethanol reduction method. (99m)Tc-D-D3 was purified by the gel column separation method. The labeling efficiency and radiochemical purity were measured by thin-layer chromatography. The immunological activity of (99m)Tc-D-D3 was determined with cell conjugation assays. (99m)Tc-D-D3 was injected into healthy ICR mice via a tail vein, and all the healthy ICR mice were sacrificed by cervical dislocation at a designated time. Then, the blood and major organs were removed and weighed, and counted in a gamma scintillation counter to determine the percentage of the injected dose per gram (%ID/g).The labeling rate and the radiochemical purity of (99m)Tc-D-D3 were (73.87 ± 2.89)% and (94.13 ± 4.49)%, respectively. The immunobinding rates of (99m)Tc-D-D3 to the human small cell lung cancer NCI-H446 cell line and lung adenocarcinoma A549 cell line were (81.2 ± 2.37)% and (24.3 ± 1.46)%, respectively. The distribution data of normal ICR mice demonstrated that (99m)Tc-D-D3 was mainly distributed in the liver, kidney and lung, and less in the brain tissue and muscle.(99m)Tc-D-D3 antibody not only had high radiochemical purity, but also had good stability both in vitro and in vivo, and maintained good immunological activity. (99m)Tc-D-D3 was metabolized mainly in the kidney and liver, and the blood radioactivity decreased rapidly. Thus, (99m)Tc-D-D3 is conducive to the radioimmunoimaging of SCLC.

Wigner-Vill distribution (WVD) will inevitably have cross-terms when it used for time-frequency representation in a multi-component signal. In order to suppress the cross-terms in Wigner-Vill distribution, this paper proposes a joint algorithm based on EMD-ICA. This algorithm resolves a multi-component signal into several IMF components used by EMD at first, and then each IMF component is used FastICA algorithm for processing, and next seeks the Wigner-Vill distribution of each component, finally, add up the results. This method effectively inhibited the emergence of cross-terms in Wigner-Vill distribution, and keeps the properties of time-frequency concentration higher.

To evaluate the diagnostic values of (99m)TcO(-)(4) thyroid imaging plus ultrasonography in the differentiation of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.(99m)TcO(-)(4) thyroid imaging and ultrasonography were performed for 114 patients with 125 thyroid nodules. And the examination results were compared with the post-operative pathological findings.(1) Among 125 thyroid nodules, there were thyroid adenoma (n = 64, 51.2%), thyroid cancer (n = 30, 24.0%) and other thyroid diseases (n = 31, 24.8%). On thyroid images, 73.6% of them were of cold nodules. And among these cold nodules, 25.0% were of thyroid cancer. Among the ultrasonic results, 125 nodules were predominantly of solid nodules and mixed solid and cystic nodules while the malignant rate of solid nodules was the highest. (2) The malignant rate of solid cool or cold nodules was greater than those of mixed solid and cystic cool or cold nodules (P0.005). (3)In solid cool or cold nodules with a diameter of ≥ 2.0 cm, thyroid cancer accounted for 62.5%.The combination of (99m)TcO(-)(4) thyroid imaging and ultrasonography may help to evaluate the (99m)TcO(-)(4) uptaking functions of thyroid nodules so that it plays an important role in the differentiation of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.

The sodium-iodide symporter (NIS) protein can mediate the active radioiodine uptake. The human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) promoter is known to be selectively reactivated in majority of tumors and hence could be used for tumor targeting. We constructed a recombinant adenovirus containing the human sodium iodide symporter (hNIS) gene directed by the hTERT promoter, characterized the ability of infected cells in uptaking iodide, and explored the therapeutic efficacy of (131)I in a lung cancer cell line in vitro.The hTERT promoter was amplified by PCR from DNA isolated from log-phase HepG2 cells, subcloned into lineralized FL*-hNIS/pcDNA3, and then the hTERT-hNIS sequence was subcloned into the shuttle plasmid pAdTrack. The recombinant adenovirus Ad-hTERT-hNIS was constructed by AdEasy system. A positive control adenovirus Ad-CMV-hNIS and a negative control adenovirus Ad-CMV were created similarly. A549 cells were transduced with recombinant adenoviruses. (125)I uptake studies and sodium perchlorate suppression studies were used to confirm hNIS expression and function. Toxic effects of (131)I on tumor cells were studied by in vitro clonogenic assay.We first successfully constructed an adenovirus mediated transgene expression system of the hNIS under the control of hTERT promoter. When infected with recombinant adenovirus constructs expressing hNIS directed by hTERT- and CMV-promoters (Ad-hTERT-hNIS and Ad-CMV-hNIS, respectively), the lung cancer cell line A549 had increased ability to uptake radioiodide up to 23- and 30-fold compared to the control parental cells, respectively. The radioiodide uptake ability of both the Ad-CMV-hNIS and Ad-hTERT-hNIS transduced cell lines were repressed 11-fold by sodium perchlorate (NaClO4). The subsequent in vitro clonogenic assay of the infected A549 cell line was further repressed to 23% (Ad-CMV-hNIS) and 30% (Ad-hTERT-hNIS) of the control group after receiving radioiodide for 7 hours (P0.001).Our preliminary study indicates that an adenovirus mediated transgene expression system of the hNIS under the control of hTERT promoter has the potential to become an effective wide-spectrum yet highly specific anti-cancer strategy.
