As cropland and water resources are most valuable, the rational development and utilization of agricultural water and land resources are crucial for national food, ecological, and resource security. Therefore, obtaining timely and accurate information about the quantity and utilization of these resources is vital for national stability and socio-economic development. Here, we summarize the status quo and problems of the monitoring and information services of agricultural water and land resources in China, and expound on the framework of a monitoring and information service system. Additionally, we propose the strategic goals, namely, realizing automatic, intelligent, and unmanned monitoring of agricultural resources and environment and marketing the monitoring information services. These goals can be achieved by increasing the efficiency and outcomes of water and land use and optimizing the spatial allocation of agricultural land and water resources. Moreover, we analyze the technological routes for agricultural water and land resource monitoring in the context of the deep integration of information technology and agriculture, and propose specific projects from the aspects of infrastructure construction, core technology development and integration, and information services. Furthermore, we propose the following policy suggestions: (1) strengthening the top-level design, (2) enhancing scientific and technological innovation, (2) building a sharing platform for agricultural resource monitoring, (4) deepening the interaction of government, industry, universities, research institutes, and users of agricultural resources, and (5) promoting high-level talent training. Our study is expected to provide theoretical references for the development of the agricultural water and land resource monitoring in China.

Injection molding (IM) is one of the essential forming methods for thermoplastic polymers, which is widely used in modern industries such as automobiles, electronics, and medical industries. At present, the machine parameters of the IM machine (IMM) have achieved sufficient high control accuracy and repeatability. However, the viscosity of thermoplastic melt is still easily influenced by the external environment, such as the fluctuations in batches, the compounding in recycled materials, and so on. Conventional IM equipment cannot sense and conduct adjustments correctly, which leads to the production of rejects. A real-time monitoring and controlling model employed for viscosity compensation was established in this article, which could monitor viscosity fluctuations and implement self-adjustment in the IM process. Three kinds of polypropylenes (PP) with different viscosity and materials with different percentages of recycled pellets were randomly added into the barrel for comparison. The results revealed that the pressure integral relative to time is able to monitor the melt viscosity and illustrate the IMM to optimize the V/P switchover and packing pressure in the current molding cycle. The part weight could achieve a higher stability and the model could bring about a decrease in weight fluctuations of 50% to 70%. In the field of digital forensics, how to unlock mobile devices such as phones has always been an urgent problem to overcome. As a special kind of password, pattern lock is widely used in mobile phone screen unlock and software access authorization. Existing pattern lock cracking techniques have several non-negligible disadvantages, such as poor concealment, low practicability, non-intelligence and single application scenario. Two basic threat models were abstracted from shoulder surfing, surveillance camera, and real-time forensics, and a multi-scenario side channel attack on pattern locks was proposed. Based on the data of surveillance camera or manual video, intelligent vision recognition algorithms were adopted to identify, select and track the target device and biological key points in the video dynamically. Then, discrete tracking points were integrated by spatial mapping and pruning algorithm. The denoising algorithm was used to eliminate redundancy and optimize the trajectory. Through procedures above, the original trajectory was simplified into regular polylines defined by several key turning points. Finally, the simplified pattern was compared and matched with the rules of legal pattern locks to inference and retort its actual pattern. Possible candidates will be sorted in the output according to their confidences. Results show that in the surveillance camera scenario, where the device screen is always visible, the cracking success rate of our technique is 89% for 10 attempts and 99.3% for 20 attempts. In the face-to-face scenario, where the subject consciously blocks the screen and his drawing finger, the success rate was 82% after 10 attempts and 89.3% after 20 attempts. In the surveillance camera scenario, the increase of shooting horizontal distance can significantly decrease the cracking success rate. But this effect diminishes with the increase of the number of attempts. Results show that the cracking success rate of the complex password is always higher than that of the simple password during 20 attempts, which means a complex pattern lock cannot play a better protection role if the proposed technique is applied. Shooting angle deflection within 5° has little effect on the success rate of cracking.

Background Postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common condition after surgery, however, the available data about nationwide epidemiology of postoperative AKI in China from large and high-quality studies are limited. This study aimed to determine the incidence, risk factors and outcomes of postoperative AKI among patients undergoing surgery in China. Methods This was a large, multicentre, retrospective study performed in 16 tertiary medical centres in China. Adult patients (≥18 years of age) who underwent surgical procedures from 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2019 were included. Postoperative AKI was defined by the Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes creatinine criteria. The associations of AKI and in-hospital outcomes were investigated using logistic regression models adjusted for potential confounders. Results Among 520 707 patients included in our study, 25 830 (5.0%) patients developed postoperative AKI. The incidence of postoperative AKI varied by surgery type, which was highest in cardiac (34.6%), urologic (8.7%) and general (4.2%) surgeries. A total of 89.2% of postoperative AKI cases were detected in the first 2 postoperative days. However, only 584 (2.3%) patients with postoperative AKI were diagnosed with AKI on discharge. Risk factors for postoperative AKI included older age, male sex, lower baseline kidney function, pre-surgery hospital stay ≤3 days or >7 days, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and use of proton pump inhibitors or diuretics. The risk of in-hospital death increased with the stage of AKI. In addition, patients with postoperative AKI had longer lengths of hospital stay (12 versus 19 days) and were more likely to require intensive care unit care (13.1% versus 45.0%) and renal replacement therapy (0.4% versus 7.7%). Conclusions Postoperative AKI was common across surgery type in China, particularly for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) plays an important role in the progression of many kidney diseases; however, the relationship between HHcy and ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI)-induced acute kidney injury (IRI-induced AKI) is far from clear. In this study, we try to investigate the effect and possible mechanisms of HHcy on IRI-induced AKI.

Background Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients have a high incidence of poor clinical outcomes, which is related to the inflammatory and nutritional status of this population. Platelet-to-albumin ratio (PAR), recently identified as a useful biomarker to monitor inflammation and nutrition, can predict a poor prognosis in various diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between PAR and technique failure and mortality in PD patients. Methods This single-center retrospective study enrolled 405 PD patients from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2019 and collected complete demographic characteristics, clinical laboratory baseline data. The outcomes were technique failure and mortality. The associations between PAR and technique failure, death were analyzed by Cox proportional hazard models and competing risk regression models with kidney transplantation as a competing event. The areas under the curve (AUC) of receiver-operating characteristic analysis were used to determine the predictive values of PAR for technique failure and mortality. Results During a median follow-up period of 24.0 (range, 4.0–91.0) months, 139 (34.3%) PD patients experienced technique failure, 61 (15.1%) PD patients died. The patients with higher PAR levels had increased risk of technique failure and mortality. After adjustment for confounding factors, we found that high PAR levels were risk factor for both technique failure (subdistribution hazard ratio [SHR] 1.775; 95%CI, 1.157–2.720; p = 0.033] and mortality [SHR 3.710; 95%CI, 1.870–7.360; p

Introduction: To explore the association between monocyte‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (MLR) and the risk of hospitalization due to gastrointestinal (GI) disorder in hemodialysis (HD) patients. Methods: In this multicenter, observational cohort study, 1626 patients were enrolled in 2019 and followed up to 2 years. Cox regression models were performed to estimate the association of MLR with GI disorder‐related hospitalization risk. Receiver‐operating characteristic (ROC) analyses were conducted to evaluate the cutoff value of MLR in identifying GI disorder‐related hospitalization. Results: During a median follow‐up of 24 months, GI disorder‐related hospitalization occurred in 107 patients. Higher MLR was independently associated with greater risks of GI disorder‐related hospitalization. Furthermore, a cut‐off value of 0.42 differentiated patients with GI disorder‐related hospitalization from those without GI involvement. Conclusion: MLR was associated with the occurrence of GI disorder‐related hospitalization in HD patients. Soil organic carbon stock (SOCS) changes caused by land use changes are still unclear, and understanding this response is essential for many environmental policies and land management practices. In this study, we investigated the temporal–spatial and vertical distribution characteristics of the SOCS in the Western Sichuan Plateau (WSP) using the sparrow search algorithm–random forest regression (SSA-RFR) models with excellent model applicability and accuracy. The temporal–spatial variations in the SOCS were modeled using 1080 soil samples and a set of nine environmental covariates. We analyzed the effect of land use changes on the SOCS in the WSP. The total SOCS increased by 18.03 Tg C from 1990 to 2020. The results of this study confirmed a significant increase in the SOCS in the study area since 2010. There was a 27.88 Tg C increase in the SOCS in 2020 compared to the total SOCS in 2010. We found that the spatial distribution of the SOCS increased from southeast to northwest, and the vertical distribution of the SOCS in the study area decreased with increasing soil depth. Forests and grasslands are the main sources of SOCS the total SOCS in the forest and grassland accounted for 37.53 and 59.39% of the total soil organic carbon (SOC) pool in 2020, respectively. The expansion of the wetlands, forest, and grassland areas could increase the SOCS in the study area. A timely and accurate understanding of the dynamics of SOC is crucial for developing effective land management strategies to enhance carbon sequestration and mitigate land degradation.
