This work deals with the noise generated from sawing processes of medium density fiberboard, where special attention was given to the changes in sawing noise at different cutting conditions when using circular saws with varied radial slots. The experimental results gave the following insights: The noise level in idling is positively related to the spindle speed. According to the noise power spectra, whistling noise is found during sawing processes, which is mainly caused by self-excited vibration of saw, and it had directivity. Furthermore, the radial slots have a different positive contribution to the noise reduction during idling, but has limited effect on the noise in cutting. In order to reduce the noise pollution induced by sawing, it was proposed to use circular saws with radial slots and copper plugged in its bottom for sawing of medium density fiberboard, in respect to low noise level and avoiding whistling noise.

Fuzzy preference relation is a common tool to express the uncertain preference information of decision maker in the process of decision making. However, the traditional fuzzy preference relation will fail under hesitant fuzzy environment as the membership has a single value. In addition, it is very difficult to obtain the precise membership values. Therefore, a new model of fuzzy preference relation is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the concept of hesitant triangular fuzzy preference relation is defined and its properties are investigated based on the concepts of hesitant fuzzy set, hesitant triangular fuzzy set, fuzzy preference relation, and hesitant fuzzy preference relation. Then, the steps of applying this novel model are offered for the case of determining the weights of failure modes. Finally, an example is used to illustrate the proposed model.

The corrosion behavior of bulk ultra-fine grained (UFG) Fe-Ni-Cr alloy prepared by equal-channel angular pressing technique was investigated in 0.25 mol/L Na2SO4+0.05 mol/L H2SO4 solution by electrochemical measurements. As compared to the coarse grained (CG) counterpart, the UFG alloy exhibits an acceleration of the active dissolution and a shrunk passive region with a higher passive current. The Mott-Schottky analysis in conjunction with the point defect model indicates that the donor diffusion coefficient in the passive films of the UFG sample increases greatly to one magnitude order higher and the donor density is slightly lower than that of the CG sample.

The license plate location method is the key technology of license plate recognition system, new algorithm is proposed based on LOG operator detecting edge of License Plate Location. First, a large number of color plate images are preprocessed to remove the background interference information, and then rough location of license plate based on block method, search area of plate will be greatly reduced and accurate positioning the plate will be realized by LOG operator combined with projection method. Static license plate image positioning by simulation and analysis show that the method has high accuracy in license plate location.

The Wied’s black-tufted-ear marmoset, Callithrix kuhlii, is a New World monkey that lives in tropical and subtropical forests of eastern Brazil. In this study, the mitochondrial genome sequence of this species is determined, which is found to be 16 500 bp in length and consists of 22 transfer RNA genes, 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes and one D-loop control region. The overall nucleotide composition is 32.73% of A, 26.80% of T, 27.04% of C and 13.43% of G, with an AT content of 59.53%. The genome structure about gene order and composition of C. kuhlii mitochondrial genome is similar to those of most other vertebrates. With the exception of the NADH dehydrogenase subunit 6 (ND6) and eight tRNA genes, all the other genes are encoded on the heavy strand. Phylogenetic analysis shows that C. kuhlii and C. jacchus are more closely related to each other than to other marmosets of the genus Callithrix that have its mitochondrial genome published.

Epitaxial La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 thin films grown on LaAlO3 (001) substrates were irradiated with low-energy 120-keV H+2 ions over doses ranging from 1012 ions/cm2 to 1017 ions/cm2. The irradiation suppresses the intrinsic insulator—metal (I—M) transition temperature and increases the resistance by reducing the crystallographic symmetry of the films. No irradiation-induced columnar defects were observed in any of the samples. The specific film irradiated at a critical dose around 8 × 1015 ions/cm2 is in a threshold state of the electric insulator where the I—M transition is absent. In an external field of 4 T or higher, the I—M transition is restored and thus an enormous magnetoresistance is observed, while a negative temperature coefficient resumes as the temperature is reduced further. Magnetic relaxation behavior is confirmed in this and other heavily irradiated samples. The results are interpreted in terms of the displacement of oxygen atoms provoked by ion irradiation and the resulting magnetic glassy state, which can be driven into a phase coexistence of metallic ferromagnetic droplets and the insulating glass matrix in a magnetic field.
