Although crystalline materials are often conceptualized as involving a static lattice configuration of particles, it has recently become appreciated that string-like collective particle exchange motion is a ubiquitous and physically important phenomenon in both the melting and interfacial dynamics of crystals. This type of collective motion has been evidenced in melting since early simulations of hard disc melting by Alder et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 11(6), 241–243 (1963)], but a general understanding of its origin, along with its impact on melting and the dynamics of crystalline materials, has been rather slow to develop. We explore this phenomenon further by focusing on the interfacial dynamics of a model crystalline Cu material using molecular dynamics simulations where we emphasize the geometrical nature and spatial extent of the atomic trajectories over the timescale that they are caged, and we also quantify string-like collective motion on the timescale of the fast β-relaxation time, τf, i.e., "stringlets." Direct visualization of the atomic trajectories in their cages over the timescale over which the cage persists indicates that they become progressively more anisotropic upon approaching the melting temperature Tm. The stringlets, dominating the large amplitude atomic motion in the fast dynamics regime, are largely localized to the crystal interfacial region and correspond to "excess" modes in the density of states that give rise to a "boson peak." Moreover, interstitial point defects occur in direct association with the stringlets, demonstrating a link between classical defect models of melting and more recent studies of melting emphasizing the role of this kind of collective motion. Rare-earth nickelates (RENiO3: RE≠La) exhibit metal–insulator transition (MIT) properties that enable potential applications, such as critical temperature resistance thermistors, optoelectronic switches, and correlated logical devices. Nevertheless, their abrupt structural distortion across MIT results in mechanical stresses and forms microcracks within the bulk RENiO3, and this irreversibly reduces their resistive change during MIT that further impedes their practical applications. Herein, we demonstrate a compositing strategy that simultaneously improves the MIT performances and mechanical strength of RENiO3 by introducing a secondary phase of perovskite oxides with similar lattice parameters and high resistivity. Despite its much higher resistivity compared to RENiO3 (e.g., RE = Sm or Pr), introducing the LaMnO3 compositing phase under high oxygen pressure surprisingly reduces the matrix resistivity. Furthermore, such a compositing process (e.g., 20% LaMnO3) also effectively improves the mechanical strength of RENiO3 by eight times. Such counterintuitive variations are attributed to the similar structure and lattice parameter between RENiO3 and the perovskite composites that modify the grain boundary. As a result, the resistive change is more abrupt across MIT owing to the reduction in the resistivity associated with the grain boundary, while the defect generation and propagation are also suppressed that improves the mechanical properties. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic disease of unknown etiology that lacks a specific treatment. In IPF, macrophages play a key regulatory role as a major component of the lung immune system, especially during inflammation and fibrosis. However, our understanding of the cellular heterogeneity and molecular characterization of macrophages in IPF, as well as their relevance in the clinical setting, is relatively limited. In this study, we analyzed in-depth single-cell transcriptome sequencing (scRNA-seq) data from lung tissues of IPF patients, identified macrophage subpopulations in IPF, and probed their molecular characteristics and biological functions. hdWGCNA identified co-expressed gene modules of a subpopulation of IPF-associated macrophages (IPF-MΦ), and probed the IPF-MΦ by a machine-learning approach. hdWGCNA identified a subpopulation of IPF-associated macrophage subpopulations and probed the IPF-MΦ signature gene (IRMG) for its prognostic value, and a prediction model was developed on this basis. In addition, IPF-MΦ was obtained after recluster analysis of macrophages in IPF lung tissues. Coexpressed gene modules of IPF-MΦ were identified by hdWGCNA. Then, a machine learning approach was utilized to reveal the characteristic genes of IPF-MΦ, and a prediction model was built on this basis. In addition, we discovered a type of macrophage unique to IPF lung tissue named ATP5-MΦ. Its characteristic gene encodes a subunit of the mitochondrial ATP synthase complex, which is closely related to oxidative phosphorylation and proton transmembrane transport, suggesting that ATP5-MΦ may have higher ATP synthesis capacity in IPF lung tissue. Objective: This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of research articles on the relationship between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colorectal cancer (CRC) using CiteSpace to summarize the current research status, hotspots, and trends in this field and present the results visually. Method: Research articles on the relationship between IBD and CRC published from 2000 to 2023 and in English were selected from the Web of Science Core Collection (Woscc) database. The articles were downloaded as "full record and references". CiteSpace was used to conduct cooperative, cluster, co-citation, and burst analyses. Results: The literature search revealed 4244 articles; of which, 5 duplicates were removed, resulting in the inclusion of 4239 articles in this study. The United States of America had the highest number of publications, with Mayo Clinic and Harvard University being the most active institutions, and Bas Oldenburg being the most active author. Collaboration among core authors was inadequate. JA Eaden was the most cited author, and CRC was the most common keyword. Burst analysis indicated that Sun Yat-sen University might be one of the institutions with a large contribution to this research field in the future. Cluster analysis showed that earlier research focused more on microsatellite instability, whereas "gut microbiota" and "oxidative stress" are considered current research hotspots and trends. Conclusion: At present, the primary focus areas of research are "gut microbiota" and "oxidative stress". With the improvement of healthcare policies and standards, regular endoscopic monitoring of patients with IBD has become an indispensable diagnostic and therapeutic practice. More drugs will be developed to reduce the risk of progression from IBD to CRC. Transparent glasses are ideal and robust hosts for a range of emission centers, while the simultaneous manipulation of the temporal and spectral characteristics of emission remains a tremendous challenge for inorganic glasses. Here, the development and functionalization of melt‐quenched transparent coordinate polymer glasses with a tailorable ultralong room‐temperature phosphorescence are demonstrated. Dynamic modulation of the phosphorescence is achieved by utilization of the high molecular rigidity and manipulation of the spin‐orbital coupling effects within the glass systems. By introducing dye molecules into the glasses, Phosphorescence resonance energy transfer from the glass matrix to the dye molecules is exploited and controllable multicolor long‐lived luminescence is demonstrated. Further design of the component and concentration of the encapsulated dyes allows for wavelength‐tunable long‐lived delayed fluorescence via an efficient delayed sensitization process, featuring a tunable emission spectrum covering a wide range from 520 to 630 nm. Leveraging the multiple spectral tuning channels of the hybrid glass, multi‐mode optical information storage, and dynamic anti‐counterfeiting applications are further demonstrated. This work provides a new hybrid material platform and design methodology for realizing lifetime‐adjustable and wavelength‐tunable long‐lived luminescence, which can find wide applications in time‐rsesolved information display, high‐density information storage, and dynamic anti‐counterfeiting. Lymphocyte subsets are the most intuitive expression of the body's immune ability, and the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) also clearly reflect the degree of chronic inflammation activity. The purpose of this study is to investigate their predictive value of lymphocyte subsets and LMR to neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) efficacy in breast cancer patients. In this study, lymphocyte subsets and LMR were compared between breast cancer patients (n = 70) and benign breast tumor female populations (n = 48). Breast cancer patients were treated with NAT, and the chemotherapy response of the breast was evaluated using established criteria. The differences in lymphocyte subsets and LMR were also compared between pathological complete response (pCR) and non-pCR patients before and after NAT. Finally, data were analyzed using SPSS. The analytical results demonstrated that breast cancer patients showed significantly lower levels of CD3 + T cells, CD4 + T cells, CD4 + /CD8 + ratio, NK cells, and LMR compared to benign breast tumor women (P < 0.05). Among breast cancer patients, those who achieved pCR had higher levels of CD4 + T cells, NK cells, and LMR before NAT (P < 0.05). NAT increased CD4 + /CD8 + ratio and decreased CD8 + T cells in pCR patients (P < 0.05). Additionally, both pCR and non-pCR patients exhibited an increase in CD3 + T cells and CD4 + T cells after treatment, but the increase was significantly higher in pCR patients (P < 0.05). Conversely, both pCR and non-pCR patients experienced a decrease in LMR after treatment. However, this decrease was significantly lower in pCR patients (P < 0.05). These indicators demonstrated their predictive value for therapeutic efficacy. In conclusion, breast cancer patients experience tumor-related immunosuppression and high chronic inflammation response. But this phenomenon can be reversed to varying degrees by NAT. It has been found that lymphocyte subsets and LMR have good predictive value for pCR. Therefore, these markers can be utilized to identify individuals who are insensitive to NAT early on, enabling the adjustment of treatment plans and achieving precise breast cancer treatment. In the realm of video salient object detection (VSOD), the majority of research has traditionally been centered on third‐person perspective videos. However, this focus overlooks the unique requirements of certain first‐person tasks, such as autonomous driving or robot vision. To bridge this gap, a novel dataset and a camera‐based VSOD model, CaMSD, specifically designed for egocentric videos, is introduced. First, the SalEgo dataset, comprising 17,400 fully annotated frames for video salient object detection, is presented. Second, a computational model that incorporates a camera movement module is proposed, designed to emulate the patterns observed when humans view videos. Additionally, to achieve precise segmentation of a single salient object during switches between salient objects, as opposed to simultaneously segmenting two objects, a saliency enhancement module based on the Squeeze and Excitation Block is incorporated. Experimental results show that the approach outperforms other state‐of‐the‐art methods in egocentric video salient object detection tasks. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) results in the abnormal regulation of cellular metabolic pathways. Constraint-based modeling approaches can be utilized to dissect metabolic reprogramming, enabling the identification of biomarkers and anticancer targets for diagnosis and treatment. In this study, two genome-scale metabolic models (GSMMs) were reconstructed by employing RNA sequencing expression patterns of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and their healthy counterparts. An anticancer target discovery (ACTD) framework was integrated with the two models to identify HCC targets for anticancer treatment. The ACTD framework encompassed four fuzzy objectives to assess both the suppression of cancer cell growth and the minimization of side effects during treatment. The composition of a nutrient may significantly affect target identification. Within the ACTD framework, ten distinct nutrient media were utilized to assess nutrient uptake for identifying potential anticancer enzymes. The findings revealed the successful identification of target enzymes within the cholesterol biosynthetic pathway using a cholesterol-free cell culture medium. Conversely, target enzymes in the cholesterol biosynthetic pathway were not identified when the nutrient uptake included a cholesterol component. Moreover, the enzymes PGS1 and CRL1 were detected in all ten nutrient media. Additionally, the ACTD framework comprises dual-group representations of target combinations, pairing a single-target enzyme with an additional nutrient uptake reaction. Additionally, the enzymes PGS1 and CRL1 were identified across the ten-nutrient media. Furthermore, the ACTD framework encompasses two-group representations of target combinations involving the pairing of a single-target enzyme with an additional nutrient uptake reaction. Computational analysis unveiled that cell viability for all dual-target combinations exceeded that of their respective single-target enzymes. Consequently, integrating a target enzyme while adjusting an additional exchange reaction could efficiently mitigate cell proliferation rates and ATP production in the treated cancer cells. Nevertheless, most dual-target combinations led to lower side effects in contrast to their single-target counterparts. Additionally, differential expression of metabolites between cancer cells and their healthy counterparts were assessed via parsimonious flux variability analysis employing the GSMMs to pinpoint potential biomarkers. The variabilities of the fluxes and metabolite flow rates in cancer and healthy cells were classified into seven categories. Accordingly, two secretions and thirteen uptakes (including eight essential amino acids and two conditionally essential amino acids) were identified as potential biomarkers. Simple Summary: In poultry production, fasting can remodel ovarian function and thereby delay the aging process of chickens. However, this approach may induce various stresses on the intestinal health of chickens. So, intestinal injury, the microbiome, and the metabolome were analyzed individually and integrated to elucidate the impact of the intestinal flora on intestinal injury during fasting-induced molting (FIM). The findings revealed that fasting led to intestinal villus atrophy, inflammation in the intestines, and disruption of gut microbiota and metabolites. During the fasting period, intestinal injury is associated with an increased abundance of Escherichia_Shigella and related metabolites Citrulline and Sterobilin, as well as a decreased abundance of Ruminococcaceae_UCG-013 and Lactobacillus and related metabolites Lanthionine and reduced Glutathione. This provides an experimental basis for improving the gut microbiota and reducing intestinal inflammation during the FIM process. Fasting-induced molting (FIM) is a common method used to improve the laying performance of aged laying hens. Nevertheless, this approach may impose various stresses on chickens, such as disruptions in intestinal flora and inflammation issues within the intestines. However, the impact of an imbalance in intestinal flora on intestinal health during the FIM process remains elusive. Therefore, intestinal injury, the microbiome, and the metabolome were analyzed individually and integrated to elucidate the impact of the intestinal flora on intestinal health during the FIM process. The findings indicated that fasting resulted in a notable reduction in villus height and villus/crypt ratio, coupled with elevated levels of intestinal inflammation and permeability. During the fasting period, microbiota compositions changed. The abundance of Escherichia_Shigella increased, while the abundance of Ruminococcaceae_UCG-013 and Lactobacillus decreased. Escherichia_Shigella was positively correlated with Citrinin and Sterobilin, which lead to intestinal inflammation. Ruminococcaceae_UCG-013 and Lactobacillus exhibited positive correlations with Lanthionine and reduced Glutathione, thereby reducing intestinal inflammation. This study screened the intestinal probiotics, Ruminococcaceae UCG-013 and Lactobacillus, that influence gut health during the fasting period, providing an experimental basis for improving gut microbiota and reducing intestinal inflammation during the FIM process. Double traditional metal (TM) Janus MXenes have more superior properties when compared with MXenes. The electronic and optical properties, Bader charge and quantum capacitance of ZrMCO 2 (M = Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta, W) are explored by density functional theory (DFT). The stability of these systems is confirmed by cohesive energy. The substitution of Ti/Hf atoms results in the decrease of bandgap of ZrTiCO 2 /ZrHfCO 2 , which is induced by the redshift of conduction band minimum (CBM). ZrMCO 2 (M = Cr, Mn) are magnetic semiconductors and ZrMCO 2 (M = Sc, V, Y, Fe) are magnetic metals. All doping atoms except Hf improve the maximum quantum capacitance of ZrMCO 2 at positive bias. Wide voltage makes ZrMCO 2 (M = Nb, Ta, W) change into anode material and ZrFeCO 2 into cathode material. ZrMCO 2 (M = Sc, Mn, Y, Hf, Zr) and ZrMCO 2 (M = V, Cr) can serve as cathode and anode materials in whole voltage, respectively. Much charge accumulating between Fe and C atoms results in the smallest Fe–C bond among all M − C bonds, which indicates the strongest interaction between Fe and C atoms. Thermal protection materials (TPMs) are crucial in advancing aerospace technology. In order to explore the applicability limits and reusability of MoAlB ceramics used as TPMs, the cyclic ablation performance and mechanisms were studied in a nitrogen plasma flame at about 2000 °C. After 1 to 5 ablation cycles (5 min per cycle), MoAlB ceramics retained their structural integrity. The linear and mass ablation rates were measured as 4.73 µm/s and 2.98 mg/s, respectively, after five ablation cycles (total of 25 min). The ablation resistance of MoAlB ceramics was primarily ascribed to the oxidation layer formed through their decomposition and oxidation. As the cycles extended, the plasma flame gradually damaged the oxide layer and led to the erosion and failure of the MoAlB matrix. Nevertheless, MoAlB ceramics exhibit exceptional resistance against cyclic and long-duration ablation, rendering it a highly promising application for TPMs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Hydrophobic treatment for cementitious material is one of the effective methods to improve the durability of concrete structures. In this study, the pore system of cementitious materials modified by a new type of carboxylic acid hydrophobic agent is reconstructed by X-ray computed tomography technology. The changes in porosity, the connectivity degree in 2D / 3D space, the tortuosity and permeability of samples with hydrophobic agents are investigated. The experimental and simulation results show that the addition of a hydrophobic agent will tremendously increase the volume of a large pore but the solid phase observed in pore space can be confirmed to be the calcium carboxylate flaky crystals which modify the water transportation channels. In conclusion, the change of transportation channel from the surface can explain the hydrophobicity of cement pastes in the presence of a hydrophobic agent. The massive grid integration of renewable energy necessitates frequent and rapid response of hydropower output, which has brought enormous challenges to the hydropower operation and new opportunities for hydropower development. To investigate feasible solutions for complementary systems to cope with the energy transition in the context of the constantly changing role of the hydropower plant and the rapid evolution of wind and solar power, the short-term coordinated scheduling model is developed for the wind–solar–hydro hybrid pumped storage (WSHPS) system with peak shaving operation. The effects of different reservoir inflow conditions, different wind and solar power forecast output, and installed capacity of pumping station on the performance of WSHPS system are analyzed. The results show that compared with the wind–solar–hydro hybrid (WSH) system, the total power generation of the WSHPS system in the dry, normal, and wet year increased by 10.69%, 11.40%, and 11.27% respectively. The solar curtailment decreased by 68.97%, 61.61%, and 48.43%, respectively, and the wind curtailment decreased by 76.14%, 58.48%, and 50.91%, respectively. The high proportion of wind and solar energy connected to the grid in summer leads to large net load fluctuations and serious energy curtailment. The increase in the installed capacity of the pumping station will promote the consumption of wind and solar energy in the WSHPS system. The model proposed in this paper can improve the operational flexibility of hydropower station and promote the consumption of wind and solar energy, which provides a reference for the research of cascade hydropower energy storage system. In the present study, sulfated polysaccharides were obtained by digestion of Sargassum horneri and preparation with enzyme-assisted extraction using three food-grade enzymes, and their anti- Alzheimer's activities were investigated. The results demonstrated that the crude sulfated polysaccharides extracted using AMGSP, CSP and VSP dose-dependently (25–100 µg·mL− 1) raised the spontaneous alternating manner (%) in the Y maze experiment of mice and reduced the escape latency time in Morris maze test. AMGSP, CSP and VSP also exhibited good anti-AChE and moderate anti-BuChE activities. CSP displayed the best inhibitory efficacy against AChE. with IC50 values of 9.77 µM. And, CSP also exhibited good inhibitory selectivity of AChE over BuChE. Next, CSP of the best active crude extract was separated by the preparation type high performance liquid phase to obtain the sulphated fucooligosaccharide section: SFcup (→3-α-L-fucp(2-SO3−)-1→4-α-L-fucp(2,3-SO3−)-1→section), SFcup showed a best inhibitory efficacy against AChE with IC50 values of 4.03 µM. The kinetic research showed that SFcup inhibited AChE through dual binding sites. Rydberg atoms-based electric field sensing has developed rapidly over the past decade. A variety of theoretical proposals and experiment configurations are suggested and realized to improve the measurement metrics, such as intensity sensitivity, bandwidth, phase, and accuracy. The Stark effect and electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) or electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA) are fundamental physics principles behind the stage. Furthermore, various techniques such as amplitude- or frequency-modulation, optical homodyne read-out, microwave superheterodyne and frequency conversion based on multi-wave mixing in atoms are utilized to push the metrics into higher levels. In this review, different technologies and the corresponding metrics they had achieved were presented, hoping to inspire more possibilities in the improvement of metrics of Rydberg atom-based electric field sensing and broadness of application scenarios. Background: Molecular biology is crucial for drug discovery, protein design, and human health. Due to the vastness of the drug-like chemical space, depending on biomedical experts to manually design molecules is exceedingly expensive. Utilizing generative methods with deep learning technology offers an effective approach to streamline the search space for molecular design and save costs. This paper introduces a novel E(3)-equivariant score-based diffusion framework for 3D molecular generation via SDEs, aiming to address the constraints of unified Gaussian diffusion methods. Within the proposed framework EMDS, the complete diffusion is decomposed into separate diffusion processes for distinct components of the molecular feature space, while the modeling processes also capture the complex dependency among these components. Moreover, angle and torsion angle information is integrated into the networks to enhance the modeling of atom coordinates and utilize spatial information more effectively. Results: Experiments on the widely utilized QM9 dataset demonstrate that our proposed framework significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in all evaluation metrics for 3D molecular generation. Additionally, ablation experiments are conducted to highlight the contribution of key components in our framework, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed framework and the performance improvements of incorporating angle and torsion angle information for molecular generation. Finally, the comparative results of distribution show that our method is highly effective in generating molecules that closely resemble the actual scenario. Conclusion: Through the experiments and comparative results, our framework clearly outperforms previous 3D molecular generation methods, exhibiting significantly better capacity for modeling chemically realistic molecules. Different from the Qaidam basin with about 320 billion m3 microbial gas, only limited microbial gases were found from the Junggar basin with similarly abundant type III kerogen. To determine whether microbial gases have not yet identified, natural gas samples from the Carboniferous to Cretaceous in the Junggar basin have been analyzed for chemical and stable isotope compositions. The results reveal some of the gases from the Mahu sag, Zhongguai, Luliang and Wu-Xia areas in the basin may have mixed with microbial gas leading to straight ethane to butane trends with a "dogleg" light methane in the Chung's plot. Primary microbial gas from degradation of immature sedimentary organic matter is found to occur in the Mahu sag and secondary microbial gas from biodegradation of oils and propane occurred in the Zhongguai, Luliang and Beisantai areas where the associated oils were biodegraded to produce calcites with δ13C values from + 22.10‰ to + 22.16‰ or propane was biodegraded leading to its 13C enrichment. Microbial CH4 in the Mahu sag is most likely to have migrated up from the Lower Wuerhe Formation coal-bearing strata by the end of the Triassic, and secondary microbial gas in Zhongguai and Beisantan uplifts may have generated after the reservoirs were uplifted during the period of the Middle and Late Jurassic. When the first appearance was in a laboratory, we attempted to associate HCV diagnoses with subsequent clinical visits. Face validity was assessed by examining association of claims‐based diagnostic settings with treatment initiation.Patients newly diagnosed with HCV and continuously enrolled in traditional Medicare Parts A, B, and D (12 months before and 6 months after index diagnosis) were included.Among 104,454 patients aged 18–64 and 66,726 aged ≥65, 70.1% and 69%, respectively, were diagnosed in outpatient settings, and 20.2% and 22.7%, respectively in laboratory or unknown settings. Logistic regression revealed significantly lower odds of treatment initiation after diagnosis in emergency departments/urgent cares, hospitals, laboratories, or unclassified settings, than in outpatient visits.The algorithm identified the setting of HCV diagnosis in most cases, and found significant associations with treatment initiation, suggesting an approach that can be adapted for future claims‐based studies. Chinese Painting and Calligraphy (ChP&C) holds significant cultural value, representing integral aspects of both Chinese culture and global art. A considerable amount of ChP&C works are dispersed worldwide. With the emergence of digital humanities, a vast collection of cultural artifacts data is now available online. However, the online databases of these artifacts remain decentralized and diverse, posing significant challenges to their effective organization and utilization. Addressing this, our paper focuses on the Wu Men School of Painting and proposes a framework for constructing a multimodal knowledge graph for the ChP&C domain. We construct the domain ontology by analyzing the ChP&C knowledge schema. Then, we acquire knowledge from diverse data sources, including textual and visual information. To enhance data collection around collecting historical context and subject matter, we propose methods for seal extraction and subject extraction specific to ChP&C. We validate the effectiveness of these methods on the constructed dataset. Finally, we construct the Wu Men Multimodal Knowledge Graph (WuMKG) and implement applications such as cross-modal retrieval, knowledge-based question-answering and visualization. Neural networks are frequently employed to model species distribution through backpropagation methods, known as backpropagation neural networks (BPNN). However, the complex structure of BPNN introduces parameter settings challenges, such as the determination of connection weights, which can affect the accuracy of model simulation. In this paper, we integrated the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm, renowned for its excellent global search capacity and rapid convergence, to enhance the performance of BPNN. Then we obtained a novel hybrid algorithm, the Grey Wolf Optimizer algorithm optimized backpropagation neural networks algorithm (GNNA), designed for predicting species’ potential distribution. We also compared the GNNA with four prevalent species distribution models (SDMs), namely the generalized boosting model (GBM), generalized linear model (GLM), maximum entropy (MaxEnt), and random forest (RF). These models were evaluated using three evaluation metrics: the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, Cohen’s kappa, and the true skill statistic, across 23 varied species. Additionally, we examined the predictive accuracy concerning spatial distribution. The results showed that the predictive performance of GNNA was significantly improved compared to BPNN, was significantly better than that of GLM and GBM, and was even comparable to that of MaxEnt and RF in predicting species distributions with small sample sizes. Monitoring hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in living organisms is very important because H2S acts as a regulator in many physiological and pathological processes. Upregulation of endogenous H2S concentration has been shown to be closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors, atherosclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases and diabetes. Herin, a novel fluorescent probe HND with aggregation-induced emission was designed. Impressively, HND exhibited a high selectivity, fast response (1 min) and low detection limit (0.61 μM) for H2S in PBS buffer (10 mM, pH = 7.42). The gut microbiome has emerged as a potential target for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) after myocardial infarction is a serious complication and whether certain gut bacteria can serve as a treatment option remains unclear. Lactobacillus reuteri (L. reuteri) is a well‐studied probiotic that can colonize mammals including humans with known cholesterol‐lowering properties and anti‐inflammatory effects. Here, the prophylactic cardioprotective effects of L. reuteri or its metabolite γ‐aminobutyric acid (GABA) against acute ischemic cardiac injury caused by I/R surgery are demonstrated. The prophylactic gavage of L. reuteri or GABA confers cardioprotection mainly by suppressing cardiac inflammation upon I/R. Mechanistically, GABA gavage results in a decreased number of proinflammatory macrophages in I/R hearts and GABA gavage no longer confers any cardioprotection in I/R hearts upon the clearance of macrophages. In vitro studies with LPS‐stimulated bone marrow‐derived macrophages (BMDM) further reveal that GABA inhibits the polarization of macrophages toward the proinflammatory M1 phenotype by inhibiting lysosomal leakage and NLRP3 inflammasome activation. Together, this study demonstrates that the prophylactic oral administration of L. reuteri or its metabolite GABA attenuates macrophage‐mediated cardiac inflammation and therefore alleviates cardiac dysfunction after I/R, thus providing a new prophylactic strategy to mitigate acute ischemic cardiac injury. Mesoscale eddies are ubiquitous oceanic phenomena and play an important role in ocean circulation, ocean dynamics, and the transport of material energy. Temperature anomalies are a crucial parameter that reflects the state of mesoscale eddies. This study proposes a Gaussian function model to fit the vertical temperature anomaly (TA) profile to facilitate the analysis of variations, and the principle of the model is based on the fact that each TA profile tends to fluctuate around one or more peaks. The model is extracted and validated using Argo profiles within cyclonic and anticyclonic eddies in the Northwest Pacific Ocean spanning over the period from 2002 to 2021. The validation demonstrates that the model can accurately recover the vertical TA profiles with a limited number of parameters. This makes it suitable for analysing the spatial distribution patterns that require a large sample count. The analysis indicates that eddies with different TA profiles have a spatial aggregation effect in geographic distribution. Eddies with lower extreme temperature anomalies, at depths of 200–300 m, are mainly distributed along two bands on the north side of the Kuroshio Extension (KE) and the North Equatorial Current. Background: The association between obesity and respiratory diseases has been confirmed. However, few studies have reported the relationship between obesity and the risk and mortality of chronic inflammatory airway disease (CIAD). The aim of this study was to reveal the association between obesity and the risk of CIAD, and mortality in patients with CIAD. Methods: The study was conducted using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013 to 2018 among adults aged 20 years and above. All participants were grouped according to body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) levels to study the relationship between obesity and CIAD. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was utilized to examine the connection between CIAD and obesity in a cross-sectional study. The association between obesity and all-cause mortality in individuals with CIAD was examined using multiple cox regression models and smooth curve fitting in a prospective cohort study. Results: When stratified based on BMI in comparison to the normal weight group, the ORs with 95%CIs of CIAD for underweight and obesity were 1.39 (1.01–1.93) and 1.42 (1.27–1.58), respectively. The OR with 95%CI of CIAD for obesity was 1.20 (1.09–1.31) when stratified according to WC. Additionally, underweight was associated with a higher mortality (HR = 2.44, 95% CI = 1.31–4.55), whereas overweight (HR = 0.58,95% CI = 0.39–0.87) and obesity (HR = 0.59,95% CI = 0.4–0.87) were associated with a lower mortality (P for trend < 0.05). There was a non-linear association between BMI and all-cause mortality (P for non-linear = 0.001). An analysis of a segmentation regression model between BMI and all-cause mortality revealed a BMI turning point value of 32.4 kg/m2. The mortality of CIAD patients was lowest when BMI was 32.4 kg/m2. When BMI ≤ 32.4 kg/m2, BMI was inversely associated with all-cause mortality in patients with CIAD (HR: 0.92, 95%CI:0.88–0.97). However, when BMI > 32.4 kg/m2, there was no association between BMI and all-cause mortality (HR:1.02, 95%CI:0.97–1.06). Conclusion: Compared to normal weight, underweight and obesity were associated with the increased risk of CIAD. Underweight was associated with increased all-cause mortality, while overweight was associated with reduced all-cause mortality. This article studies the stability problem of discrete‐time positive switched linear systems by introducing a nonzero elements chain method. Compared to existing works, the highlight of this article is reflected in the inclusiveness of the subsystem, that is, each subsystem is allowed to be stable, marginally stable or even unstable. Some sufficient conditions depending on the characteristics of system matrices and the time‐dependent switching signals are established, so as to guarantee the exponential stability of positive switched linear systems. Carbonation resistance ability is one of the most important durability-related proprieties of cement-based materials. Through the carbonation depth experiment, isothermal conduction calorimetry, XRD, BET, and water vapor sorption, the effect of calcium nitrite (Ca(NO3)2) on the carbonation properties of cement-based materials is obtained. The result indicates that the addition of Ca(NO3)2 improves the carbonation resistance property of cement-based materials if the hydration of cement pastes and microstructure is modified earlier without affecting the late hydration process. In addition, the refined pores and higher tortuosity cut down the channels, thereby impeding the ingress of carbon dioxide gas into cementitious materials, as confirmed by BET and water vapor sorption. BACKGROUND: Coronary artery disease can be quantified by measuring the fat attenuation index (FAI). OBJECTIVE: To explore the correlations between FAI, high-risk plaque and the degree of coronary artery stenosis. METHODS: The clinical data of patients with coronary atherosclerosis who underwent a coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography examination between July 2020 and June 2023 were selected for retrospective analysis. These patients were classified into a high-risk plaque group and non-high-risk plaque group according to the presence of CT high-risk plaque. The diagnostic value of FAI and FAI combined with the degree of stenosis was evaluated for CT high-risk plaque. RESULTS: Differences in age, body mass index, smoking history, FAI and the degree of stenosis between the two groups were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). The results of a binary logistic regression analysis revealed that FAI (odds ratio (OR): 1.131, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.101–1.173, P < 0.001) and the degree of stenosis (OR: 1.021, 95% CI: 1.012–1.107, P < 0.001) were risk factors for high-risk plaque. CONCLUSION: The FAI can be used to monitor the inflammation level of the coronary artery; the higher the FAI is, the higher the risk of plaque and degree of stenosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bio‐inspired micro soft robots mimic biologically specific body structures and movement mechanisms by utilizing bionic principles. Because of its soft body, it can adapt to complex external environments. However, the existing polymer material system is single and the fabrication process is limited. How to further reduce soft robot size has become a key issue. In this work, a Programming Magnetic Elastic Composites (PMEC) is proposed for 3D printing to manufacture micro soft robots. The PMEC has the advantage of changing the direction of the internal magnetic field in response to changes in the external magnetic field. A Microsoft robot is designed and fabricated using PMEC inspired by an inchworm. Numerical simulations are also used to study the effect of soft robot size parameters on local stresses and optimize the structure. The results show that the microscale soft robot can crawl with a load of 2 times its weight at a speed of 6.67 mm s−1, crawl on slopes from 0° to 90°, and crawl over obstacles with a maximum height of 7 mm. Objectives To develop and validate a whole-liver radiomic model using multiparametric MRI for predicting early-stage liver fibrosis (LF) in rabbits. Methods A total of 134 rabbits (early-stage LF, n  = 91; advanced-stage LF, n  = 43) who underwent liver magnetic resonance elastography (MRE), hepatobiliary phase, dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE), intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM), diffusion kurtosis imaging, and T2* scanning were enrolled and randomly allocated to either the training or validation cohort. Whole-liver radiomic features were extracted and selected to develop a radiomic model and generate quantitative Rad-scores. Then, multivariable logistic regression was utilized to determine the Rad-scores associated with early-stage LF, and effective features were integrated to establish a combined model. The predictive performance was assessed by the area under the curve (AUC). Results The MRE model achieved superior AUCs of 0.95 in the training cohort and 0.86 in the validation cohort, followed by the DCE-MRI model (0.93 and 0.82), while the IVIM model had lower AUC values of 0.91 and 0.82, respectively. The Rad-scores of MRE, DCE-MRI and IVIM were identified as independent predictors associated with early-stage LF. The combined model demonstrated AUC values of 0.96 and 0.88 for predicting early-stage LF in the training and validation cohorts, respectively. Conclusions Our study highlights the remarkable performance of a multiparametric MRI-based radiomic model for the individualized diagnosis of early-stage LF. In order to stop and reverse land degradation and curb the loss of biodiversity, the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development proposes to combat desertification. In this paper, a fractional vegetation–water model in an arid flat environment is studied. The pattern behavior of the fractional model is much more complex than that of the integer order. We study the stability and Turing instability of the system, as well as the Hopf bifurcation of fractional order α , and obtain the Turing region in the parameter space. According to the amplitude equation, different types of stationary mode discoveries can be obtained, including point patterns and strip patterns. Finally, the results of the numerical simulation and theoretical analysis are consistent. We find some novel fractal patterns of the fractional vegetation–water model in an arid flat environment. When the diffusion coefficient, d, changes and other parameters remain unchanged, the pattern structure changes from stripes to spots. When the fractional order parameter, β , changes, and other parameters remain unchanged, the pattern structure becomes more stable and is not easy to destroy. Objectives: Pyogenic spondylitis after vertebral augmentation (PSVA) is a severe complication and even threatens the life of patients. How to deal with infectious bone cement is a big problem for surgeons. The application of piezosurgery has advantages in removal the infectious bone cement in limb bone and spinal laminectomy, but it is rarely used in PSVA. So, the present study aimed to introduce the application of piezosurgery in revision surgery for PSVA and report the preliminary radiological and clinical results. Methods: The data of nine patients with PSVA who had undergone revision surgery were retrospectively reviewed between May 2017 and January 2023 in our hospital. The technique of removal of infectious bone cement and lesion by piezosurgery and the reconstruction of the spinal stability were described, and the operation time and intraoperative blood loss were recorded. Postoperatively, radiographs and computed tomography scans were reviewed to evaluate the condition of bone cement removal, control of infection, and bone fusion. Oswestry disability index (ODI) and visual analog scale (VAS) were assessed pre‐ and postoperatively, and clinical outcomes were assessed using Odom's criteria. Results: All patients achieved satisfactory tainted bone cement cleaning and restoration of spinal alignment. The surgical time was 258.8 ± 63.2 (160–360) min, and the intraoperative blood loss was 613.3 ± 223.8 (300–900) mL. The VAS score decreased from 7.0 (6–8) points preoperatively to 2.4 (1–4) points postoperatively. The ODI index decreased from 71% (65%–80%) preoperatively to 20% (10%–30%) postoperatively. The patient's VAS and NDI scores after operation were significantly improved compared with those before surgery (p ≤ 0.05). Odom's outcomes were good for all patients in the last follow‐up, and all patients reported satisfactory results. Conclusions: Piezosurgery can effectively remove large blocks of infectious bone cement through a posterior approach while avoiding nerve and spinal cord damage. The chromosome structure of different bacteria has its unique organization pattern, which plays an important role in maintaining the spatial location relationship between genes and regulating gene expression. Conversely, transcription also plays a global role in regulating the three-dimensional structure of bacterial chromosomes. Therefore, we combine RNA-Seq and Hi-C technology to explore the relationship between chromosome structure changes and transcriptional regulation in E. coli at different growth stages. Transcriptome analysis indicates that E. coli synthesizes many ribosomes and peptidoglycan in the exponential phase. In contrast, E. coli undergoes more transcriptional regulation and catabolism during the stationary phase, reflecting its adaptability to changes in environmental conditions during growth. Analyzing the Hi-C data shows that E. coli has a higher frequency of global chromosomal interaction in the exponential phase and more defined chromosomal interaction domains (CIDs). Still, the long-distance interactions at the replication termination region are lower than in the stationary phase. Combining transcriptome and Hi-C data analysis, we conclude that highly expressed genes are more likely to be distributed in CID boundary regions during the exponential phase. At the same time, most high-expression genes distributed in the CID boundary regions are ribosomal gene clusters, forming clearer CID boundaries during the exponential phase. The three-dimensional structure of chromosome and expression pattern is altered during the growth of E. coli from the exponential phase to the stationary phase, clarifying the synergy between the two regulatory aspects. The mechanical behavior of the coal body acted upon by varying pressure is very important for the stability analysis of the actual mining face. Based on the designed stress loading path, uniaxial compression tests are performed on coal samples of different coal steps in the presence of various loading rates. The main goal of this investigation is to examine the internal damage and crack evolution characteristics of the coal samples. The results reveal that the ringing number and energy abruptly alter before the peak stress, the resistivity decreases, the damage increases and the internal fracture development of the coal rock intensifies. The low-order coal is essentially damaged in shear after several stages of loading, and the high-order coal is mainly damaged in tension due to the stress concentration caused by the primary cracks, and the fracture rapidly develops along the primary cracks. The obtained results of this study provide a theoretical basis for the design of the protective layer and the control of mining disturbances in the actual working face mining environment. In karst regions, the occurrence of sinkholes is a common cause of roadway failures, leading to significant embankment deformation and instability. The advantages of geosynthetic reinforcement have been proven in practice in numerous countermeasures to lessen the impact of localized sinkholes, and associated design methodologies have been developed. However, some existing design methods assume there is no deformation in geosynthetics embedded in soils, and the effect of matric suction in soils is not considered either. This study suggested an analytical approach that took into account the strain in the geosynthetic reinforcements as well as the impact of matric suction. The developed design method was used to conduct parameter studies under various matric suction conditions. The method was validated against the experimental results, and the feasibility of the developed method was also compared with the existing design methods. The findings demonstrate that, in comparison to the method created here, existing design methodologies produce more conservative results. Here, ultrathin nitrogen-doped carbon/Ti 3 C 2 T x -TiN (NC/MX-TiN) heterostructure was developed by pyrolyzing zeolite imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) nanoparticles sandwiched MXene (ZSM), which were formed by assembling ultrafine ZIF-8 nanoparticles with size of 20 nm on both sides of MXene nanosheets. The introduction of ultrasmall ZIF-8 particles allowed for in situ nitridation of the MXene during pyrolysis, forming consecutive TiN layers tightly connected to the internal MXene. The two-dimensional (2D) heterostructure exhibited remarkable properties, including high specific surface area and excellent conductivity. Additionally, the resulting TiN demonstrated exceptional redox capability, which significantly enhanced the performance of CDI and ensured cycling stability. Benefiting from these advantages, the NC/MX-TiN exhibited a maximum adsorption capacity of 45.6 mg g−1 and a steady cycling performance in oxygenated saline water over 50 cycles. Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent degenerative cartilage disease, but no effective treatment is currently available to ameliorate the dysregulation of cartilage catabolism. Cartilage degeneration is closely related to the change in the physiology of chondrocytes: for example, chondrocytes of the OA patients overexpress matrix metallopeptidase 13 (MMP13), a.k.a. collagenase 3, which damages the extracellular matrix (ECM) of the cartilage and deteriorate the disease progression. Inhibiting MMP13 has shown to be beneficial for OA treatments, but delivering therapeutics to the chondrocytes embedded in the dense cartilage is a challenge. Here, we engineered the exosome surface with the cartilage affinity peptide (CAP) through lipid insertion to give chondrocyte-targeting exosomes, CAP-Exo, which was then loaded with siRNA against MMP13 (siMMP13) in the interior to give CAP-Exo/siMMP13. Intra-articular administration of CAP-Exo/siMMP13 reduced the MMP13 level and increased collagen COL2A1 and proteoglycan in cartilage in a rat model of anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT)-induced OA. Proteomic analysis showed that CAP-Exo/siMMP13 treatment restored the altered protein levels in the IL-1β-treated chondrocytes. Taken together, a facile exosome engineering method enabled targeted delivery of siRNA to chondrocytes and chondrocyte-specific silencing of MMP13 to attenuate cartilage degeneration. Research into new composites utilizing cubic boron nitride (PcBN) shows promise for enhancing cutting tool performance. The unique properties of these materials stem from the addition of microfibers made of refractory compounds to their structure. This study looks at developing two-layer composites based on cBN group BL, reinforced with SiCw and Al2O3w microfibers. The goal is to improve tool stability when cutting hardened steels with impact loads. PcBN composite samples were made by sintering a mixture of cBN powder with bundles and microfibers under 7.7 GPa pressure. Bond material selection was based on analyzing the relationship between Poisson's ratio (η) and plasticity parameter (G/B). The density, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, and hardness of the composites were determined, and the microstructure of samples with TiCN bond was studied. Tool-life tests were conducted on two-layer cutting inserts made of PcBN reinforced with SiCw and Al2O3w microfibers during the machining of hardened KhVG steel (HRC 55) under impact loads at cutting speeds of 100 and 200 m/min. To solve the problem of poor localization accuracy and robustness of visual simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) systems in highly dynamic environments, this paper proposes a dynamic visual SLAM algorithm called FFD-SLAM that fuses the target detection network with the optical flow method. The algorithm considers ORB-SLAM2 as the basic framework, joins the semantic thread in parallel with its tracking thread, initially obtains the set of feature points through the real-time detection of dynamic objects in the environment through YOLOv5 in the semantic thread, then filters the set of feature points obtained in the semantic thread through the optical flow module, and finally utilizes the remaining static feature points for the matching calculation. Experiments showed that the proposed algorithm showed an improvement of approximately 97% in the localization accuracy compared with the ORB-SLAM2 algorithm in a highly dynamic environment, which effectively improves the localization accuracy and robustness of the system. Treating the high water-content sludge with vacuum-assisted prefabricated horizontal drains (PHDs) placed inside, geotextile tubes have the advantage of multiple drainage paths, and geomembrane tubes have the superiority of high vacuum maintenance. Therefore, converting the geotextile tube into a geomembrane tube during slurry dewatering is an effective measure for greater dewatering efficiency and better dehydration effect. In this study, a profound plane-strain consolidation model considering two-dimensional seepage is developed for explaining the dewatering mechanism of sludge in the geo-tubes. Analytical solutions are given and validated by the experiment. The impact of major variables on tube efficiency is further discussed to reference the practice design. Parametric analyses reveal the critical time corresponding to the optimal efficiency of the geotextile tube, after which its consolidation efficiency decreases significantly. However, the consolidation efficiency of a geomembrane tube increases throughout the duration. The article examines the impact of the credibility of land institutions on households' land investment in the context of the new‐round land certification program in China. Specifically, we first build a theoretical framework differentiating effects of households' perceived credibility regarding land use right, transfer right and mortgage right on investment. Then, a two‐step control function (2SCF) approach which controls for the endogeneity of households' perceived credibility is applied to the data collected from 487 households in Jiangsu province of China in 2017. Results show that households' perceived credibility of land transfer right has a significantly positive effect on both households' labor‐intensive and capital‐intensive investment. Credibility of land mortgage right has a significantly negative effect on households' capital‐intensive investment. However, credibility regarding land use right does not significantly affect households' land investment we focused on. Policies strengthening land transfer right credibility, improving land mortgage right and encouraging households to apply credits to farm activities, may play an important role in enhancing soil‐improving land investment. Transparent Y 2 O 3 –Al 2 O 3 –SiO 2 (YAS) glass-ceramics were prepared by the melting-quenching method and two-step heat treatment. P 2 O 5 is one of the most widely used oxide nucleating agents in the production of glass-ceramics, which can control the crystallization temperature or the grain size. The effects of different amounts of P 2 O 5 on the nucleation, crystallization, structure, and mechanical properties of YAS glasses were studied. Raman spectra fitting showed that with increasing P 2 O 5 content from 0.50 wt% to 4.00 wt%, the content of structure units Q3 and Q4 gradually increased, indicating that P 2 O 5 mainly acted as a network former in YAS glass to enhance the connectivity of silicate glass structure. The results revealed that the increase in P 2 O 5 content led to fewer nucleation sites and lower crystallinity. As the P 2 O 5 content increased, the transmittance of YAS glass-ceramics changed slightly under the same heat treatment, but the Vickers hardness decreased significantly. Fine, granular and evenly distributed nanocrystals were precipitated from YAS precursor glasses through heat treatment at 700 °C for 10 h and 750 °C for 1 h. Additionally, the reported Vickers hardness, fracture toughness and transmittance of YAS glass-ceramic containing 0.50 wt% P 2 O 5 were 674.48 Hv, 1.09 MPa m1/2 and 87.59 %, respectively. The quality of rice, evaluated using multiple quality-related traits, is the main determinant of its market competitiveness. In this study, two japonica rice varieties with significant differences in quality-related traits were used as parents to construct two populations, BC3F2 and BC3F2:3, with Kongyu131 (KY131) as the recurrent parent. A genetic linkage map was constructed using the BC3F2 population based on 151 pairs of SSR/InDel polymorphic markers selected between the parents. Grain-shape-related traits (grain length GL, grain width GW, and length-to-width ratio LWR), chalkiness-related traits (white-core rate WCR, white-belly rate WBR, white-back rate BR, and chalkiness rate CR), and amylose content (AC) were investigated in the two populations in 2017 and 2018. Except for BR and CR, the traits showed similar characteristics with a normal distribution in both populations. Genetic linkage analysis was conducted for these quality-related traits, and a total of 37 QTLs were detected in the two populations. Further validation was performed on the newly identified QTLs with larger effects, and three grain shape QTLs and four chalkiness QTLs were successfully validated in different environments. One repeatedly validated QTL, qWCR3, was selected for fine mapping and was successfully narrowed down to a 100 kb region in which only two genes, LOC_0s03g45210 and LOC_0s03g45320, exhibited sequence variations between the parents. Furthermore, the variation of LOC_Os03g45210 leads to a frameshift mutation and premature protein termination. Prestressed concrete (PC) box girder is an innovative structure that is widely used in large-span bridges. Under eccentric loads such as vehicles, PC girders are inevitably under combined bending and torsion. To study its bending-torsional behavior, a refined full-range analysis model based on the combined action softening truss model (CA-STM) was proposed, where a simple and effective solution procedure and failure criteria were provided. The equilibrium equation, initial estimation equation for torque, and material constitutive model were modified by considering the prestressing effect to improve the CA-STM. An optimized algorithm was also employed to simplify the solution procedure instead of the traditional trial-and-error method, thus increasing the solution rate and stability. The theoretical curves predicted from the improved CA-STM exhibited great agreement with the available experimental results, and the predicted cracking and ultimate loads were also close to the experimental values. Hence, the improved CA-STM can reasonably predict the full-range mechanical response and failure modes of PC box girders subjected to combined bending and torsion, which provides great support to the design evaluation of such bridges. With large-scale grid-connected renewable energy, new power systems require more flexible and reliable energy storage power sources. Pumped storage stations play an important role in peak shaving, valley filling, and promoting renewable energy consumption. This paper presents the reasonable energy-abandonment operation of a combined power generation system (CPGS), in which a pumped storage station is the core control power, with an ultra-high proportion of renewable energy. Firstly, based on the seasonal characteristics of wind, solar, and load demand, typical days are selected through improved clustering analysis algorithms. Then, a daily optimal scheduling model for combined power generation systems (CPGS) is developed with the goals of economy, low-carbon, and stable operation. Finally, the correlation between the energy-abandonment rate and pumped storage station peak shaving and system optimization operation indicators is obtained by a reasonable energy-abandonment calculation method considering source-grid-load coordination. Taking the operation data of an energy base in the western region of China as an example, when the penetration rate of renewable energy is 60–70% in the future, the operating cost on the power side is greatly affected by the construction of the source side. AbstractAeroengine power turbine rotor is a typical nonlinear rotor system, in which the interference connection between long shaft and short shaft has a prominent influence on the coupling vibration of the system, especially at high speed, the nonlinear stiffness change of interference contact is more obvious. Therefore, the paper considers the change of the contact characteristics of the long shaft and the short shaft of the turbine rotor, and the nonlinear restoring force of the bearing to analyze the dynamic characteristics of the rotor. Firstly, according to the theory of elasticity, the contact parameters under different speed states are calculated, the contact stiffness model under interference fit is established, and the relationship between contact stiffness and speed is analyzed. Secondly, according to the Hertz contact theory, a bearing nonlinear restoring force model considering time-varying characteristics is established. Finally, the dynamic model of the bearing-flexible rotor coupling considering interference contact is established. The influence of contact parameters and unbalance parameters on the nonlinear vibration characteristics of the rotor is analyzed by amplitude-frequency curve, bifurcation diagram, time-domain waveform, spectrum diagram, trajectory diagram and Poincaré diagram. In addition, the simulation results are compared with the experiment results of the rotor test rig to verify the accuracy of the established dynamic model. By analyzing the influence of different parameters such as interference magnitude, unbalance position, unbalance magnitude and unbalance couple on the nonlinear vibration of the rotor, the basis for the design and vibration control of the cantilever turbine rotor is provided. In this study, ablative resistance of single fiber‐ and hybrid fiber‐reinforced epoxy‐modified vinyl silicone rubber (EMVSR) composites was systematically studied. Three types of fibers, namely aramid fiber (AF), basalt fiber (BF), and carbon fiber (CF), were employed as the reinforcements. The results indicated that the incorporation of fiber reinforcements effectively suppressed the expansion and strengthened the char layer. Besides, the quality of char layer was quite different when different types of fibers were used. The char layer of AF‐modified samples had more surface defects, BF‐modified samples were brittle, and CF‐filled samples were dense and flat. The use of hybrid AF/BF fibers improved the ablation and anti‐erosion performance of EMVSR. Meanwhile, the thermal insulation performance was enhanced because the back‐face temperature was the lowest with the addition of 1 phr AF and 5 phr CF. The above results indicated that the ablation and anti‐erosion resistance and the quality of char layer as well as the thermal insulation behavior of EMVSR were significantly improved by incorporating fibrillar fillers, which demonstrate practical applications as flexible anti‐ablation materials for thermal protection systems. AbstractThe h-type anti-slide pile (h-pile) plays a crucial role in mitigating soil-rock mixture slope (SRMS) instability. Despite its significance, the limited availability of research outcomes has constrained the practical application of h-piles for SRMS reinforcement. This study employs three centrifuge model tests to investigate the behavior and performance of h-pile-reinforced SRMS under rainfall conditions. We systematically describe the response of earth pressure on the pile side and behind the pile, bending moment along the pile, and pore water pressure at the slope toe and pile side. This elucidates the evolution of soil arching for h-piles under rainfall conditions. The results reveal that rainfall duration influences the distribution pattern of earth pressure on the pile side, while the distribution pattern of bending moment for the h-pile remains unaffected. Additionally, the soil arching pattern between piles demonstrates joint arching, involving the combined action of frictional arching and end-bearing arching. In this paper, the drag coefficient (Cd), lift coefficient (Cl), and torque coefficient (Ct) of rotating non-spherical particles in shear-thinning non-Newtonian fluids are investigated based on particle-resolved direct numerical simulation. The Carreau model is used to describe the rheological behavior of non-Newtonian fluids, and the numerical model is validated against previously published data. Then, the effects of aspect ratio (Ar), spin number (Spa), flow index (n), and Carreau number (Cu) on Cd, Cl, and Ct of rotating non-spherical particles are investigated at different Reynolds numbers (Re). The numerical results show that the closer the particles are to the spherical shape, the smaller the fluctuations of Cd, Cl, and Ct curves. The peaks and valleys of Cd, Cl, and Ct of oblate and prolate ellipsoidal particles are reversely distributed. The fluctuations of Cd and Cl curves increase with increasing Spa. Cd decreases with increasing Spa at low Re, contrary to Newtonian fluids' results. Cd and Ct decrease with increasing shear-thinning properties, Cl increases with increasing shear-thinning properties, and the effect of shear-thinning properties decreases with increasing Re. The variation of viscosity and pressure is the main reason for the variation of Cd, Cl, and Ct under different variables. Predictive correlations of Cd and Ct are established based on Re, Spa, n, Cu, and α. The findings indicate that particle rotation and shear-thinning properties must be considered when evaluating particle-fluid interactions, which provide important guidance for predicting and controlling the orientation and distribution of non-spherical particles in non-Newtonian fluids.
