Protein O-mannosyl-transferase 1 （POMT1） gene-encoded protein participates in the initial step of protein O-mannosylation modification and plays an important role in various physiological processes，such as cell connection and neuronal migration，etc. α-dystroglycanopathy （α-DGP） is a group of muscular dystrophy-related diseases caused by defects in α-dystroglycan （α-DG） O-glycosylation. As one of the causative genes of α-DGP，POMT1 gene is usually closely correlated with clinical phenotype of α-DGP with severe symptoms and poor prognosis. In this article，clinical diagnosis and treatment，genotype-phenotype relationship，and possible pathogenesis of α-DGP associated with POMT1 gene variation were reviewed，aiming to further explore the pathogenic mechanism of POMT1 variation and provide new ideas for the molecular biology-level treatment of POMT1 gene variation-related α-DGP.

Objective To explore the mediating effect of self-esteem on sense of coherence and social support in patients with head and face burns. Methods A convenient sampling method was used to select 112 patients with head and face burns from November 2017 to August 2021 in the Burn Injury Department of a grade-A hospital in Suzhou. General data questionnaire, Chinese version of Sense of Coherence 13-item scale (SOC-13), Self-Liking/Self-Competence Scale-Revised (SLCS-R) and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) were used to investigate them, and structural equation model was used to test the mediating effect. Objective To investigate the effect of feedforward control combined with tracking method on reducing the incidence of blockage of intravenous indwelling needle in perioperative patients. Totally 852 patients who received intravenous infusion therapy were recruited and divided into two groups according to the odd-even number of admission: 424 patients with odd number in the control group and 428 patients with even number in the observation group. The control group received routine nursing management and catheter maintenance, the observation group adopted feedforward control combined with tracking method. The incidence of blockage of intravenous indwelling needle, indwelling time and incidence of redness and swollen at puncture site were compared between two groups. Results The indwelling time of intravenous indwelling needle in the observation group was higher than that of control group (P＜0. 01). A lower incidence of blockage of intravenous indwelling needle and lower incidence of redness and swollen at puncture site were reported in the observation group than that in the control group, respectively(P＜0. 01). Conclusion The feedforward control combined with tracking method is potentially effective to reduce the incidence of blockage of intravenous indwelling needle, prolong the indwelling time, reduce the pain at puncture site and improve the comfort level of patients during the treatment. Objective: This study harnesses the power of text mining to quantitatively investigate the causative factors of falls in adult inpatients, offering valuable references and guidance for fall prevention measures within hospitals. Methods: Employing KH Coder 3.0, a cutting-edge text mining software, we performed co-occurrence network analysis and text clustering on fall incident reports of 2,772 adult patients from a nursing quality control platform in a particular city in Jiangsu Province, spanning January 2017 to December 2022. Results: Among the 2,772 patients who fell, 80.23% were aged above 60, and 73.27% exhibited physical frailty. Text clustering yielded 16 distinct categories, with four clusters implicating patient factors, four linking falls to toileting processes, four highlighting dynamic interplays between patients, the environment, and objects, and another four clusters revealing the influence of patient-caregiver interactions in causing falls. Conclusion: This study highlights the complex, multifactorial nature of falls in adult inpatients. Effective prevention requires a collaborative effort among healthcare staff, patients, and caregivers, focusing on patient vulnerabilities, environmental factors, and improved care coordination. The Longquan pluton is a rare Caledonian granitic rock mass in southern Zhejiang. Studies on the Longquan pluton using petrology, geochemistry, and chronology were conducted in this paper, which reveal that it is composed of granite-monzogranite assemblage (granitoid) and tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite assemblage (TTG). The two types of rocks are generally enriched in large ion lithophile elements Rb, Ba, Th, U and K, and depleted in high field strength elements Nb, Ta, P and Ti, showing the characteristics of island arc magmatic rocks. The geochemical characteristics of the TTG rocks show that they belong to the typical high-pressure type TTG, and its magma originated from the remelting of the basic lower crust under the action of subducted slab fluid. While the granitoids were mainly derived from partial melting of ancient crustal sediments. Neither of them was significantly contaminated by mantle. The zircon SHRIMP U-Pb and LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating results show that the Longquan pluton was formed between 443±3 Ma~410±3 Ma. Combined with its petrological and geochemical characteristics, it is indicated that the subduction of oceanic crust had still existed in the Longquan area until early Devonian.

The high‐strength and lightweight carbon fiber‐reinforced composites are widely used in various industries. Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), the most cost‐effective Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology, has gained significant application advantages in the industry. The objective of this study is to improve the toughness of the carbon fiber‐reinforced polyamide composites used for FFF. In this work, HDPE was selected to reduce the hygroscopicity of PA6 while lowering the cost, carbon fiber was introduced to reinforce the PA6/HDPE blend. The elastomer POE‐g‐MAH was applied to increase the toughness of the composites as well as to improve the compatibility of the incompatible system of PA6/HDPE. Mechanical tests and micromorphology observation were carried on the FFF printed samples. The test results show that when 20 phr POE‐g‐MAH was added, optimum mechanical properties were obtained for the composites with about 18.9 wt% carbon fiber content. The tensile strength reached 94.1 MPa, and the notched impact strength reached 21.0 kJ/m2, which were 180.8% and 610.7% higher than that of the neat PA6, respectively. It is applicable for various applications that require high‐impact strength, including automotive parts and some machine components. Highlights: The PA‐2CF‐C20 composite exhibits high strength and high toughness, the tensile strength reaches 94.1 MPa and the notched impact strength reaches 21.0 kJ/m2.Successfully prepared cost‐effective and high‐performance filament for FFF 3D printers.
