As a cutting-edge field of artificial intelligence in education (AIEd) that depends on advanced computing technologies, AI performance prediction model is widely used to identify at-risk students that tend to fail, establish student-centered learning pathways, and optimize instructional design and development. A majority of the existing AI prediction models focus on the development and optimization of the accuracy of AI algorithms rather than applying AI models to provide student with in-time and continuous feedback and improve the students' learning quality. To fill this gap, this research integrated an AI performance prediction model with learning analytics approaches with a goal to improve student learning effects in a collaborative learning context. Quasi-experimental research was conducted in an online engineering course to examine the differences of students' collaborative learning effect with and without the support of the integrated approach. Results showed that the integrated approach increased student engagement, improved collaborative learning performances, and strengthen student satisfactions about learning. This research made contributions to proposing an integrated approach of AI models and learning analytics (LA) feedback and providing paradigmatic implications for future development of AI-driven learning analytics.

The risk of occupational exposure to organic solvents varies across industries due to factors such as processing materials, ventilation conditions, and exposure duration. Given the dynamic nature of organic solvent use and occupational exposures, continuous monitoring and analysis are essential for identifying high-risk hazards and developing targeted prevention strategies. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the use of organic solvents and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in different industries in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, China, from 2018 to 2023, to understand their temporal variation and industry-specific differences and to identify high-risk occupational hazards. This study includes 1335 organic solvent samples, used by 414 different industry enterprises, and 1554 air samples. The result shows that the usage of organic solvents in various industries decreased with the outbreak of the pandemic and, conversely, increased as the situation improved. The most frequently detected volatile components in organic solvents were alkanes, followed by aromatic hydrocarbons. The ratios of the detection frequency of VOCs to the total number of detected categories increased year by year after 2020, indicating a tendency towards reduction and concentration of the types of organic solvents used in industrial production. Among the 8 high-risk VOCs, toluene (22.5%), n-hexane (22.0%), xylene (16.1%), and ethylbenzene (15.3%) have relatively high detection rates, suggesting that they need to be focused on in occupational health. Through air samples, the results show that trichloroethylene and xylene pose a high risk to human health (HQ > 1). We recommend that industry should strengthen monitoring of these two VOCs. Lung regeneration after fibrosis requires formation of functional new vasculature, which is essential for gas exchange and cellular cross-talk with other lung cells. It remains unknown how the lung vasculature can be regenerated without fibrosis. Here, we tested the role of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification of forkhead box protein O1 (Foxo1) mRNA in lung regeneration after pneumonectomy (PNX) in mice, a model for lung regrowth after surgical resection. Endothelial cell (EC)–specific knockout of methyltransferase-like 3 (Mettl3) and Foxo1 caused nonproductive intussusceptive angiogenesis (IA), which impaired regeneration and enhanced fibrosis. This nonproductive IA was characterized by enhanced endothelial proliferation and increased vascular splitting with increased numbers of pillar ECs. Endothelial-selective knockout of Mettl3 in mice stimulated nonproductive IA and up-regulation of profibrotic factors after PNX, promoting regeneration to fibrotic transition. EC-specific mutation of m6A modification sites in the Foxo1 gene in mice revealed that endothelial Mettl3 modified A504 and A2035 sites in the Foxo1 mRNA to maintain pro-regenerative endothelial glycolysis, ensuring productive IA and lung regeneration without fibrosis. Suppression of Mettl3-Foxo1 signaling stimulated a subset of hyperglycolytic and hyperproliferative 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-biphosphatase 3 (Pfkfb3)+, Ras homolog family member J (Rhoj)+, and platelet-derived growth factor subunit B (Pdgfb)+ ECs in both human and mouse lungs with fibrosis. Inhibiting this Pfkfb3+Rhoj+Pdgfb+ EC subset normalized IA, alleviated fibrosis, and restored regeneration in bleomycin (BLM)–injured mouse lungs. We found that m6A modification of Foxo1 in the mouse vasculature promoted lung regeneration over fibrosis after PNX and BLM injury. Rhoj-expressing endothelial cells in fibrotic lung tissue was associated with poor lung function in humans, and genetic inhibition of Rhoj in mice led to improved lung function and fibrosis. ObjectiveRegarding the effects and practical application of insulin pumps on patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM), the real-world evidence is limited especially concerning the incidence of hypoglycemia. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) therapy with multiple daily injection (MDI) therapy on glycemic metrics evaluated by retrospective continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in Chinese patients with T1DM.MethodsIn total, 362 T1DM Chinese patients from the outpatient department of the Second Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, who underwent intensive insulin therapy and used a retrospective CGM system were included in this retrospective cross-sectional study. Comprehensive analysis of clinical and biological features and retrospective CGM derived-metrics was performed on the 362 enrolled T1DM patients who underwent CSII (n = 61) or MDI (n = 301) therapy (defined as 4 or more insulin injections per day).ResultsOur findings demonstrated that patients who underwent CSII therapy, compared with those who received MDI therapy, had lower levels of hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and fasting blood glucose; moreover, CSII therapy was associated with better glycemic outcomes in terms of increasing time in range (TIR), decreasing time above range (TAR), and achieving CGM-associated targets of TIR ≥70% and TAR

Brand experience, critical to the success of businesses, is well studied in marketing research. However, little is known about its effect on building advantages of competitive differentiation and brand positioning, especially in the tourism field. This study investigated the applicability of a well-established brand experience model from marketing research through a comparative study across multiple destinations. Factor analysis and cluster analysis were utilized to examine the effect of destination brand experience on tourist perception of destinations and regression analysis was utilized to examine the effect of four dimensions of destination brand experience on tourists' visit intention. Results showed that tourists perceived differently on all four dimensions of their brand experiences across different destinations. The sensory and affective dimensions of destination brand experience have positive effects on tourists' visit intention. Objective: Multiple palmoplantar warts, caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, were investigated for clinical efficacy using cantharidin, retinoic acid cream, and salicylic acid cream. Methods: A total of 110 patients with multiple palmoplantar warts were enrolled. The experimental group (54 cases) received a 1:1:1 combination (CRS) of 0.25% cantharidin, 0.1% retinoic acid cream, and 5% salicylic acid, applied with pressurized encapsulation for 8 h every night, three times per week. The control group (56 cases) underwent conventional liquid nitrogen freezing. Monthly follow‐ups assessed cure rate, effective rate, dermatological life quality index (DLQI), visual analog scale (VAS), and cost, with evaluations conducted after 3 months. Results: The treatment group exhibited a cure rate of 85.19% and a total effective rate of 96.30%, surpassing the control group with rates of 39.29% and 51.79%, respectively (p < 0.05). The treatment group's DLQI score (1.84 ± 1.06) was significantly lower than the control group's score (6.04 ± 1.78) (p = 0.0005). Additionally, the treatment group's VAS score (1.84 ± 1.06) was notably lower than the control group's score (8.56 ± 1.07) (p < 0.0001). The treatment group's total cost (43.20 ± 2.85) was markedly lower than the control group's cost (206.38 ± 90.81), with a statistically significant difference (p < 0.0001). Conclusion: The combination of cantharidin, retinoic acid cream, and salicylic acid with local encapsulation is a safe, effective, economical, and convenient treatment method for multiple palmoplantar warts, exhibiting few side effects and showing promise. Cattle and the draught force provided by its skeletal muscle have been integral to agro‐ecosystems of agricultural civilization for millennia. However, relatively little is known about the cattle muscle functional genomics (including protein coding genes, non‐coding RNA, etc.). Circular RNAs (circRNAs), as a new class of non‐coding RNAs, can be effectively translated into detectable peptides, which enlightened us on the importance of circRNAs in cattle muscle physiology function. Here, RNA‐seq, Ribosome profiling (Ribo‐seq), and peptidome data are integrated from cattle skeletal muscle, and detected five encoded peptides from circRNAs. It is further identified and functionally characterize a 907‐amino acids muscle‐specific peptide that is named circNEB‐peptide because derived by the splicing of Nebulin (NEB) gene. This peptide localizes to the nucleus and cytoplasm and directly interacts with SKP1 and TPM1, key factors regulating physiological activities of myoblasts, via ubiquitination and myoblast fusion, respectively. The circNEB‐peptide is found to promote myoblasts proliferation and differentiation in vitro, and induce muscle regeneration in vivo. These findings suggest circNEB‐peptide is an important regulator of skeletal muscle regeneration and underscore the possibility that more encoding polypeptides derived by RNAs currently annotated as non‐coding exist.
