Objective To analyze the incidence and risk factors of postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) in elderly patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS). Methods Elderly patients aged≥65 years who underwent VATS in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2013 to December 2017, were reviewed retrospectively and divided into non-PPCs group and PPCs group. General information, past medical history, and postoperative complications were recorded in a uniform case report form. The clinical factors with statistical significance in univariate analysis and important clinical significance according to experience were analyzed with Logistic regression to evaluate the independent risk factors for PPCs. Results A total of 900 patients were included, and 48(5.3%) of them suffered PPCs. Multivariate logistic regression showed that pre-operative smoking history,history of stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pulmonary lobectomy were independent risk factors for PPCs in elderly patients after VATS. Conclusions Elderly patient is a high-risk group for PPCs after VATS. The risk factors include smoking history, stroke, COPD and scope of surgery. Therefore, perioperative management needs to optimize, and monitoring should be strengthened for these high-risk patients.

Here, we report and characterize the complete plastome of Reevesia pycnantha, Y. Ling 1951, which is a rare tree in the plant family Malvaceae. It is distributed in central and southern Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Hunan, and other provinces of China, where it is endemic. It grows in subtropical climates at middle and low altitudes of 200–800 meters within valleys, along mountain foothills, or on hillsides, in evergreen broad-leaved forests or at forest edges. Our results show that the length of the complete plastome is 161,964 bp, including 129 genes consisted of 81 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes and 8 rRNA genes. It exhibits the typical quadripartite structure and gene content of angiosperms plastomes and comprises two inverted repeat (IRS) regions of 2,469 bp, a large single copy (LSC) region of 90,657 bp, and a small single-copy (SSC) region of 20,315 bp. The total G/C content in the plastome of R. pycnantha,Y. Ling 1951 is 36.8%. The complete plastome sequence of R. pycnantha, Y. Ling 1951will make contributions to the conservation genetics of this species as well as to phylogenetic studies in Malvaceae.

High‐capacity O3‐type layered sodium oxides are considered one of the most promising cathode materials for the next generation of Na‐ion batteries (NIBs). However, these cathodes usually suffer from low high‐rate capacity and poor cycling stability due to structure deformation, native air sensitivity, and interfacial side reactions. Herein, a multi‐site substituted strategy is employed to enhance the stability of O3‐type NaNi0.5Mn0.5O2. Simulations indicate that the Ti substitution decreases the charge density of Ni ions and improves the antioxidative capability of the material. In addition, the synergistic effect of K+ and Ti4+ significantly reduces the formation energy of Na+ vacancy and delivers an ultra‐low lattice strain during the repeated Na+ extraction/insertion. In situ characterizations verify that the complicated phase transformation is mitigated during the charge/discharge process, resulting in greatly improved structure stability. The co‐substituted cathode delivers a high‐rate capacity of 97 mAh g−1 at 5 C and excellent capacity retention of 81% after 400 cycles at 0.5 C. The full cell paired with commercial hard carbon anode also exhibits high capacity and long cycling life. This dual‐ion substitution strategy will provide a universal approach for the new rational design of high‐capacity cathode materials for NIBs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Continuing to promote the development of digital inclusive finance can provide effective financial services for rural areas and accelerate the rural revitalization. Accordingly, this study built a rural revitalization evaluation index system using the provincial and municipal panel data from 2011 to 2020. The fixed effect model was used, and the urbanization development level was introduced to analyze the effect and mechanism of digital inclusive finance on rural revitalization. The research finds that digital inclusive finance has the effect of boosting rural revitalization. Moreover, the level of urbanization development plays a positive role in the digital inclusive finance to help rural revitalization. All of the three dimensions of digital inclusive finance can boost rural revitalization, but they are significantly different in effect. Compared with the central and western regions, the eastern region has a high level of economic development and its level of development in inclusive digital finance is also relatively high. Therefore, the effect of digital inclusive finance on rural revitalization and the regulatory effect of urbanization development are more significant in eastern region. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
