This study aimed to evaluate the associations of serum folate and/or vitamin B 12 concentrations with obesity among Chinese children and adolescents. A cross-sectional study was conducted including 3,079 Chinese children and adolescents, aged 6 to 17 years, from Jiangsu, China. Anthropometric indices, such as, children's body mass index (BMI), BMI z-scores, waist circumference, and waist-to-height ratio were utilized. Multivariable linear regression and generalized additive models were used to investigate the associations of serum folate and vitamin B 12 levels with anthropometric indices and odds of obesity. We observed that serum vitamin B 12 concentrations were inversely associated with all anthropometric indices and the odds of general obesity [odds ratio (OR) = 0.68; 95% confidence interval (CI) = 0.59, 0.78] and abdominal obesity (OR = 0.68; 95% CI = 0.60, 0.77). When compared to participants with both serum vitamin levels in the two middle quartiles, those with both serum folate and vitamin B 12 levels in the highest quartile were less prone to general ( OR = 0.31, 95% CI = 0.19, 0.50) or abdominal obesity (OR = 0.46, 95% CI = 0.31, 0.67). Conversely, participants with vitamin B 12 levels in the lowest quartile alongside folate levels in the highest quartile had higher odds of abdominal obesity (OR = 2.06, 95% CI = 1.09, 3.91). Higher serum vitamin B 12 concentrations, but not serum folate concentrations, were associated with lower odds of childhood obesity. Squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCCA) is one of the common squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) in women, which usually works as a tumor biomarker for cervical cancer in diagnostic applications. Herein, bimetallic PtCo highly branched nanocrystals (PtCo BNCs) acted as electrode substrates to construct sandwich-typed electrochemical immunosensor for ultrasensitive detection of SCCA, by using dendritic mesoporous SiO2@AuPt nanoparticles (DM-SiO2@AuPt NPs) to adsorb electroactive thionine (Thi) as a signal label. The PtCo BNCs enlarged the loading of the primary antibody (Ab1), showing effective improvement in conductivity and sensitivity. The DM-SiO2 had abundant pores to incorporate more Thi, on which the decorated AuPt NPs created a great number of active sites to immobilize the secondary antibodies (Ab2), thereby obviously amplifying the detection signals. The prepared sensor exhibited a broader linear range (0.001–120 ng mL–1) and a lower detection limit (0.33 pg mL–1, S/N = 3), combined with high reproducibility, a low relative standard deviation (below 2.5%) and acceptable recovery (from 98.5 to 110.0%) even in diluted human serum samples. A novel and rapid fabrication method for Al2O3 ceramics by the DCC‐HVCI method via microwave heating was proposed. Effects of microwave heating temperature on coagulation time, micromorphology, as well as performance of the green body and ceramic sample were studied. As the microwave heating temperature rises, the coagulation time gradually reduced and compressive strength of green sample decreased while relative density and flexural strength of ceramics rose at the beginning and then dropped. The 50 vol.% Al2O3 suspension was coagulated and demolded after treating at 60°C for 800 s by microwave heating. The compressive strength of green samples reached 1.12 ± 0.13 MPa. The relative density of Al2O3 ceramic samples reached 99.39%. And the flexural strength of Al2O3 ceramics reached 334.55 ± 26.41 MPa. The Weibull modulus of Al2O3 ceramics reached 19. In contrast with the ceramic samples heated through water bath, the ceramic samples treated through microwave possessed uniform microstructures. Microwave heating could reduce the coagulation time by 77%. Meanwhile, it could significantly raise the compressive strength of green bodies by 65%.
