- Abstract
Channel estimation for an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) broadband system over a doubly selective channel is very challenging. This is mainly due to the significant Doppler shift, which results in a time-frequency doubly-selective (DS) channel. The DS channel features a large number of channel coefficients, which introduces inter-carrier interference (ICI) and forces the need for allocating a large number of pilot subcarriers. To tackle this problem, in this paper we propose a novel channel estimation scheme based on distributed compressive sensing (DCS) theory. Taking advantage of the basis expansion model (BEM) and the channel sparsity in the delay domain, we transform the original DS channel into a novel two-dimensional channel model, where several jointly sparse BEM coefficient vectors become the estimation goal. Then a special decoupling form originating from a novel sparse pilot pattern is designed for such estimation, which results in an ICI-free structure and enables the DCS application to make joint estimation of these vectors accurately. Combined with a smoothing treatment process, the proposed scheme can achieve significantly higher estimation accuracy than the existing ones, although with a much smaller number of pilot subcarriers. Theoretical analysis and simulation results both confirm its performance merits. © 2013 IEEE.

- Abstract
The global prevalence of coccidia infection in lagomorphs and potential risk factors were investigated through a meta-analysis of 149 studies published between 1951 and 2024. The pooled prevalence of Eimeriidae, Sarcocystidae and Cryptosporidiidae was found to be 66.0 %, 8.0 % and 6.1 %, respectively. Rabbits and hares exhibited the highest prevalence of Eimeriidae at 63.1 % and 71.8 %, while pikas had the highest prevalence of Cryptosporidiidae at 17.1 %. Countries located in the southern hemisphere exhibited the highest prevalence of Cryptosporidiidae (11.4 %). The African Region had the highest prevalence of Eimeriidae (73.3 %) and Sarcocystidae(14.6 %), while the Eastern Mediterranean Region had the highest prevalence of Cryptosporidiidae(13.6 %). Juvenile rabbits exhibited the highest prevalence of Eimeriidae (67.4 %), while senior Rabbit exhibited the highest prevalence of Sarcocystidae(17.1 %) and Cryptosporidiidae(13.1 %). The prevalence of coccidia in intensively farmed lagomorphs showed a slight upward trend over time, nearly reaching statistical significance (R2 = 7.88 %, coefficient = 0.019, P = 0.127). This suggests that the current intensive farming practices may be losing effectiveness in controlling coccidia infections, which is concerning. Among Eimeriidae in lagomorphs, Eimeria coquelinae showed the highest prevalence (68.4 %), while E. magna was most frequently reported. For Sarcocystidae, Besnoitia spp. had the highest prevalence (31.3 %), with Toxoplasma gondii being most frequently reported. Cryptosporidium cuniculus was both the most prevalent and frequently reported Cryptosporidiidae species (6.9 %), suggesting it may be a major Cryptosporidiidae pathogen in lagomorphs. These findings highlight the differences in prevalence of various Eimeriida species among different lagomorpha genera. 7. [Value of 24-hour urinary aldosterone in diagnosis and classification of primary hyperaldosteronism].

Objective: To investigate the clinical application value of 24-hour urinary aldosterone(UEA) in diagnosis and classification of primary aldosteronism(PA). Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 282 hypertensive patients admitted to the Endocrinology Department of Xiangya Third Hospital of Central South University from December 2020 to December 2023. Thirty-nine patients with secondary hypertension, included secondary hypertension caused by renal parenchymal hypertension, renal vascular hypertension, cortisol hypersecretion, pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma, thyroid and parathyroid diseases and aortic diseases, were excluded. A total of 243 patients were finally included, including 130 males and 113 females, with the age of [ M ( Q
1 , Q3 )]50.0(41.0, 56.5) years. The patients were divided into PA group ( n =135) and primary hypertension group ( n =108) based on the cause of hypertension. Plasma aldosterone concentration (PAC) and renin activity (PRA) were measured at 2 hour of standing position. Twenty-four-hour urine samples were collected for determination of aldosterone by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. The area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to evaluate the value of 24-hour UEA and 24-hour UEA to renin ratio (UARR) in the screening of PA. Ninety-seven patients with PA subtypes identified based on adrenal vein sampling (AVS) and/or surgical pathology and postoperative follow-up results were enrolled. They were divided into unilateral primary hyperaldosteronism (UPA) group ( n =54) and idiopathic hyper aldosteronism(IHA) group ( n =43). ROC was drawn to evaluate the value of serum potassium, standing PAC, aldosterone to renin ratio (ARR), 24-hour UEA and UARR in the diagnosis of PA typing. Results: Serum potassium and PRA in PA group were lower than those in primary hypertension group (all P <0.01), while systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, blood sodium, urine potassium, PAC, ARR, UEA and UARR in PA group were higher than those in primary hypertension group (all P <0.05). The area under ROC curve for 24-hour UEA diagnosis of PA was 0.848(95% CI :0.799-0.897), the cut-off value was 8.42 μg/d, sensitivity and specificity were 99.3% and 59.3%, respectively. The area under the ROC curve was 0.986(95% CI: 0.977-0.996), with sensitivity and specificity of 100.0% and 88.0%, respectively. The area under the ROC curve of UARR was 0.988(95% CI : 0.980-0.997), the cut-off value was 20.3 (μg/d)/(ng·ml-1 ·h-1 ), sensitivity and specificity were 90.4% and 83.2%, respectively. There was no significant difference between UARR and ARR ( P >0.05). Subgroup analysis shows that the areas under the ROC curves for the diagnosis of 24-hour UEA and UARR in differentiating UPA from IHA are 0.772(95% CI :0.679-0.865) and 0.664(95% CI :0.539-0.764), respectively. The sensitivity of 24-hour UEA>16.8 μg/d and UARR>135.0 (μg/d)/(ng·ml-1 ·h-1 ) to predict UPA was 59.3% and 61.1%, respectively, and the specificity was 86.0% and 74.4%, respectively. Conclusions: Twenty-four-hour UEA can provide reference for clinical screening and diagnosis of PA. If combined with renin activity detection, it can provide screening value comparable to ARR. In addition, 24-hour UEA and UARR can be used as better predictors of PA typing diagnosis.- Published

- Abstract
Hypoxia can aggravate tumor occurrence, development, invasion, and metastasis, and greatly inhibit the photodynamic therapy (PDT) effect. Herein, carbon nitride (CNs)-based DNA and photosensitizer co-delivery systems (BPSCNs) with oxygen-producing functions are developed to address this problem. Selenide glucose (Seglu) is used as the dopant to prepare red/NIR-active CNs (SegluCNs). The tumor-targeting unit Bio-PEG
2000 is utilized to construct BPSCNs nanoparticles through esterification reactions. Furthermore, DNA hydrophobization is realized via mixing P53 gene with a positively charged mitochondrial-targeted near-infrared (NIR) emitting photosensitizer (MTTPY), which is encapsulated in non-cationic BPSCNs for synergistic delivery. Ester bonds in BPSCNs@MTTPY-P53 complexes can be disrupted by lipase in the liver to facilitate P53 release, upregulated P53 expression, and promoted HIF-1α degradation in mitochondria. In addition, the oxygen produced by the complexes improved the hypoxic microenvironment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), synergistically downregulated HIF-1α expression in mitochondria, promoted mitochondrial-derived ferroptosis and enhanced the PDT effect of the MTTPY unit. Both in vivo and in vitro experiments indicated that the transfected P53-DNA, produced O2 and ROS by these complexes synergistically led to mitochondrial-derived ferroptosis in hepatoma cells through the HIF-1α/SLC7A11 pathway, and completely avoiding PDT resistance caused by hypoxia, exerting a significant therapeutic role in HCC treatment., (© 2024 Wiley‐VCH GmbH.)- Published

Continuously promoting new curriculum standards is a key aim of the Ministry of Education of China. With this in mind, this paper introduces a comprehensive teaching experiment for undergraduate instrumental analysis courses that aims to improve students' material-preparation and instrumental-analysis skills through practice. Herein, a covalent organic framework-based core-shell stationary phase material (SiO
2 @COFTTA-DHTA ) is prepared via a one-pot method and characterized in detail, after which its chromatographic properties are evaluated by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The experimental process includes material synthesis and characterization, as well as studying the chromatographic-retention behavior and chromatographic-separation performance of the material. By the combining theoretical science and experimental teaching, this experiment not only deepens students' understanding of the properties of functional materials and their applications, but also improves their experimental-design and critical-thinking skills. This experiment not only cultivates students' interests in scientific research, but also exercises their experimental, operational, innovative-thinking, and practical abilities, while concurrently enhancing their sense of social responsibility and historical mission, thereby delivering the all-round educational goals of experimental teaching.- Published

10. Distinct impulsivity profiles in subtypes of violence among community-dwelling patients with severe mental disorders: a longitudinal study.

- Abstract
Background: Although only a few patients with severe mental disorders (SMD) can commit violent behaviour in the community, violent behaviour aggravates the stigma towards patients with SMD. Understanding the subtypes of violent behaviour may be beneficial for preventing violent behaviour among patients with SMD, but it has rarely been studied., Methods: This longitudinal study investigated 1914 patients with SMD in the community at baseline, and the follow-up period ranged from February 2021 to August 2021. The Barratt Impulsiveness Scale Version-11, the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire, the Impulsive/Premeditated Aggression Scale, the Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire and the MacArthur Community Violence Instrument were used at baseline. The Modified Overt Aggression Scale was used to assess the occurrence of violent behaviour (outcome) during the follow-up period. Cox regression models were used to calculate hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Latent class analysis was used to characterise the subtypes of patients with SMD who engaged in violent behaviour at follow-up., Results: We found that 7.2% of patients with SMD presented violent behaviour within six months in the community. Younger age (OR = 0.98, 95% CI = 0.96-1.00, p = 0.016) and no economic source (OR = 1.60, 95% CI = 1.10-2.33, p = 0.014) were risk factors for violent behaviour. Patients with SMD who engaged in violent behaviour could be classified into three subtypes: one class characterised by a history of violence and impulsivity, another class characterised by high levels of aggression and motor impulsivity, and the last class characterised by median cognitive impulsivity., Conclusions: Socio-demographic factors were risk factors for violent behaviour among patients with SMD, which could eliminate the discrimination toward this group. Impulsivity played a vital role in identifying the three subtypes of patients with SMD who engaged in violent behaviour. These findings may be helpful for the development of a personalised violence risk management plan for patients with SMD who commit violent behaviour in the community., (© 2024. The Author(s).)

Objectives: To provide a longitudinal evaluation tool based on the frequency of aggressive behavior for the aggression assessment of schizophrenia patients., Methods: The Life History of Aggression was translated and revised to form the Life History of Aggression-Chinese Version (LHA-CV) based on 369 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia in the Chengdu community and compulsory medical institution. The reliability of LHA-CV was analyzed by means of split-half reliability, test-retest reliability and inter-evaluator consistency. The validity was analyzed by item analysis, construct validity and criterion validity., Results: Item analysis found that LHA-CV had good homogeneity and discriminant validity. Exploratory factor analysis found that the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test value was 0.80, and the Bartlett's sphericity test χ
2 =1 203.46 ( P <0.05), and it revealed four factors including non-physical aggression, physical aggression, self-directed aggression and antisocial behavior/consequences. The factor loadings for all 11 items were greater than 0.40. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed on the factor model, Chi-square degree of freedom ( χ2 /df) was 3.61, root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) was 0.07, goodness-of-fit index (GFI) was 0.92, comparative fit index (CFI) was 0.90, incremental fit index (IFI) was 0.90, and the discriminant validity of each factor was good. The criterion validity test showed the total score of LHA-CV was positively correlated with the aggressive behavior level of MacArthur Community Violence Instrument, the total score of Buss-Perry Aggression Scale, and the score of Antisocial Personality Disorder Subscale of Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire-4th Edition Plus (PDQ-4+_ASPD, P <0.05). The Cronbach's α coefficient of non-physical aggression, physical aggression, self-directed aggression, antisocial behavior/consequences and LHA-CV total score were 0.82, 0.73, 0.74, 0.56 and 0.79, respectively. The test-retest reliability, Spearman-Brown split-half reliability and intra-class correlation coefficient of LHA-CV total score were 0.82 ( P <0.05), 0.66 and 0.99, respectively., Conclusions: LHA-CV has good reliability and validity, and can be used as an evaluation tool for longitudinally assessing aggressive behavior in schizophrenia patients.- Published

- Abstract
Intimal hyperplasia is a complicated pathophysiological phenomenon attributable to in-stent restenosis, and the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Interleukin enhancer-binding factor 3 (ILF3), a double-stranded RNA-binding protein involved in regulating mRNA stability, has been recently demonstrated to assume a crucial role in cardiovascular disease; nevertheless, its impact on intimal hyperplasia remains unknown. In current study, we used samples of human restenotic arteries and rodent models of intimal hyperplasia, we found that vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) ILF3 expression was markedly elevated in human restenotic arteries and murine ligated carotid arteries. SMC-specific ILF3 knockout mice significantly suppressed injury induced neointimal formation. In vitro, platelet-derived growth factor type BB (PDGF-BB) treatment elevated the level of VSMC ILF3 in a dose- and time-dependent manner. ILF3 silencing markedly inhibited PDGF-BB-induced phenotype switching, proliferation, and migration in VSMCs. Transcriptome sequencing and RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing depicted that ILF3 maintained its stability upon binding to the mRNA of the high-mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1), thereby exerting an inhibitory effect on the transcription of dual specificity phosphatase 16 (DUSP16) through enhanced phosphorylation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). Therefore, the results both in vitro and in vivo indicated that the loss of ILF3 in VSMC ameliorated neointimal hyperplasia by regulating the STAT3/DUSP16 axis through the degradation of HMGB1 mRNA. Our findings revealed that vascular injury activates VSMC ILF3, which in turn promotes intima formation. 13. Multi-frequency signal acquisition and phase measurement in space gravitational wave detection.

- Abstract
To enhance the accuracy of phase measurement and to prevent tracking errors, it is crucial to effectively read the multi-frequency signal in space gravitational wave detection. In this paper, a novel signal acquisition method called the multi-frequency acquisition algorithm is proposed and implemented. Different from the traditional single-frequency acquisition, the signal characteristics of amplitude and frequency are both considered to better distinguish different frequency components. A phasemeter integrated with the acquisition method and narrow-bandwidth digital phase-locked loop is constructed for the method test and verification. The results show that the multi-frequency acquisition unit can capture all the frequencies of an input signal in several milliseconds. The precision is better than ±200 Hz under a low SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) of 0 dB. The phase noise can reach 2 µrad/Hz1/2 in the frequency range of 0.1-1 Hz and satisfy the requirement of the space gravitational wave detection in all frequency ranges., (© 2024 Author(s). Studying how to improve the performance of illuminating agents to meet the requirements of ammunition miniaturization of great importance. In this study, a simple method for increasing light radiation intensity through the adding of metal oxides was developed and tested. Results revealed that the metal oxides had a very strong effect on the light radiation intensity of the reaction system. Optical radiation intensity increased by 17.8%, - 5.4% and 25.9% after the addition 5% of MgO, Al
2 O3 and BaO to the Ba(NO3 )2 /Mg reaction system, respectively. This phenomenon may be related to the light radiation characteristics and reactivity of the metal oxide itself, as well as the temperature at which the added metal oxide can be excited to radiate light intensity., (© 2022. 15. The Legal Correspondence of Sexual Self-Defense Capability Assessment.

- Abstract
Objectives: To understand the legal application and case deposition of assessment opinions of sexual self-defense capability, and to explore the necessity of legal correspondence in the sexual defense capability assessment., Methods: According to the self-made questionnaire, the cases of sexual self-defense capability assessment completed by the Academy of Forensic Science from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2018 were statistically analyzed through telephone interviews and referrals., Results: Among the 69 cases, 3 cases (4.3%) had complete sexual self-defense capability, 30 cases (43.5%) had weakened sexual self-defense capability, 32 cases (46.2%) had no sexual self-defense capability, and 4 cases (5.8%) were not suitable for assessment. Among the 30 cases with weakened sexual self-defense ability, 15 cases were filed and investigated by public security authorities for rape and 15 cases were not. The inconsistent rate of disposition was 1∶1. Among the 15 rape cases filed and investigated by the public security authorities, 10 cases were arrested and prosecuted by the procuratorate and sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment by the court, while the other 5 cases were not arrested and prosecuted by the procuratorate, with an inconsistent rate of disposition being 2∶1., Conclusions: The legal application of the assessment opinion on the weakening of sexual self-defense capability is inconsistent, and the judicial disposition is confusing. It is imperative to unify and correspond the classification of sexual self-defense capability with the legal requirements.

- Abstract
Importance: The efficacy of laparoscopic vs open surgery for patients with low rectal cancer has not been established., Objective: To compare the short-term efficacy of laparoscopic surgery vs open surgery for treatment of low rectal cancer., Design, Setting, and Participants: This multicenter, noninferiority randomized clinical trial was conducted in 22 tertiary hospitals across China. Patients scheduled for curative-intent resection of low rectal cancer were randomized at a 2:1 ratio to undergo laparoscopic or open surgery. Between November 2013 and June 2018, 1070 patients were randomized to laparoscopic (n = 712) or open (n = 358) surgery. The planned follow-up was 5 years. Data analysis was performed from April 2021 to March 2022., Interventions: Eligible patients were randomized to receive either laparoscopic or open surgery., Main Outcomes and Measures: The short-term outcomes included pathologic outcomes, surgical outcomes, postoperative recovery, and 30-day postoperative complications and mortality., Results: A total of 1039 patients (685 in laparoscopic and 354 in open surgery) were included in the modified intention-to-treat analysis (median [range] age, 57 [20-75] years; 620 men [59.7%]; clinical TNM stage II/III disease in 659 patients). The rate of complete mesorectal excision was 85.3% (521 of 685) in the laparoscopic group vs 85.8% (266 of 354) in the open group (difference, -0.5%; 95% CI, -5.1% to 4.5%; P = .78). The rate of negative circumferential and distal resection margins was 98.2% (673 of 685) vs 99.7% (353 of 354) (difference, -1.5%; 95% CI, -2.8% to 0.0%; P = .09) and 99.4% (681 of 685) vs 100% (354 of 354) (difference, -0.6%; 95% CI, -1.5% to 0.5%; P = .36), respectively. The median number of retrieved lymph nodes was 13.0 vs 12.0 (difference, 1.0; 95% CI, 0.1-1.9; P = .39). The laparoscopic group had a higher rate of sphincter preservation (491 of 685 [71.7%] vs 230 of 354 [65.0%]; difference, 6.7%; 95% CI, 0.8%-12.8%; P = .03) and shorter duration of hospitalization (8.0 vs 9.0 days; difference, -1.0; 95% CI, -1.7 to -0.3; P = .008). There was no significant difference in postoperative complications rate between the 2 groups (89 of 685 [13.0%] vs 61 of 354 [17.2%]; difference, -4.2%; 95% CI, -9.1% to -0.3%; P = .07). No patient died within 30 days., Conclusions and Relevance: In this randomized clinical trial of patients with low rectal cancer, laparoscopic surgery performed by experienced surgeons was shown to provide pathologic outcomes comparable to open surgery, with a higher sphincter preservation rate and favorable postoperative recovery., Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT01899547.

- Abstract
The construction of non-viral gene delivery faces two major challenges: cytotoxicity caused by high cationic charge units and easy degradation by lysosomes. Herein, highly water-dispersible polymeric carbon nitride (PCN) nanosheets were utilized as the core to construct a light-controlled non-cationic gene delivery system with sufficient lysosomal escape ability. In this system, these nanosheets exhibited efficient DNA condensation, outstanding biocompatibility, transfection tracking, light responsiveness and high transfection efficiency. Once PCN-DNA was taken up by the tumor cells, the accumulated ROS generated by photosensitizers (PSs) under light irradiation would destroy the structure of lysosomes, promote the escape of PCN-DNA and increase the efficiency of gene transfection. Simultaneously, the gene transfection process could be tracked in real time through fluorescence imaging technology, which was conducive to investigate the transfection mechanism. In vitro and in vivo experiments further confirmed that PCN nanosheets loaded with the P53 gene were beneficial to the regeneration of the P53 apoptotic pathway, increased tumor sensitivity to PSs, and further induced tumor cell apoptosis. In summary, the highly water-dispersible PCN nanosheets were applied to light-controlled self-escaping gene delivery for the first time, and tumor gene therapy was successfully realized.

Objective: To establish 10-color fluorescent antibody combination panels for the detection of minimal residual disease (MRD) of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in our laboratory and discuss the value of clinical application., Methods: According to the antigen expression characteristics of leukemia cells of incipient AML patients, MRD in bone marrow were detected by multiparameter flow cytometry, and the test results were compared with both bone marrow cell morphology and PCR results, then 10-color fluorescent antibody combination panels in our lab for MRD detection was determined., Results: The immunophenotypic characteristics of 392 incipient patients with AML in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were analyzed, among them 357 (91.07%) cases showed abnormal immunophenotypes, which mainly included cross-lineage expression, cross-stage expression, deficiency of antigen expression or abnormal antigen intensity and other abnormal expression. The 10-color fluorescent antibody combination panels established according to abnormal immunophenotypic characteristics of leukemia cells were applied for detecting MRD in 156 patients with AML, the positive rate (43.6%) was higher than 26.8% of morphology, and the results were highly consistent with PCR detection results (96.49%), moreover, the recurrence rate of MRD positive patients (86.96%) was significantly higher than 5.75% of MRD negative patients. Therefore, this method could truly reflect the load of leukemia cells and prompt change of disease condition., Conclusion: Multiparameter flow cytometry can detect various abnormal immunophenotypes of AML. The 10-color fluorescent antibody combination panels in our lab based on the characteristics of antigens expression in leukemia cells can well detect MRD of leukemia cells, so as to predict relapse and provide basis for clinical treatment.

- Abstract
Objectives: To understand the current status of appraisal of post-concussion syndrome disability and the reasons for the changes in re-appraisal opinions., Methods: The cases that were judged as "post-concussion syndrome and ten-level disability" in the first appraisal and re-appraised for psychiatric impairment by the Academy of Forensic Science in 2019 were analyzed retrospectively., Results: There were 75 cases, including 58 cases with pre-hospital emergency medical records, among which 39 cases were clearly recorded to be without a history of coma; 74 cases had emergency medical records, among which 44 cases were recorded of having a history of coma; 43 cases had follow-up medical records, among which 24 cases had a history of psychiatric follow-up. The most complained symptoms of the appraisee in appraisal and examination include headache, dizziness, poor sleep at night, irritability, memory loss, fatigue and inattention. The main reasons for the re-appraisal application include doubts about the history of coma, doubts about the credibility of mental symptoms, post-concussion syndrome didn't meet the disability criteria, and objections to the original appraisal procedure or the original appraisal agency. The appraisal opinions of a total of 47 cases were changed. Seven of them did not meet the disability criteria, and the main reason was that there was no clear history of coma and no head injury was admitted; the coma history of the 40 other cases had to be confirmed by the court before they can be clearly identified as disabilities. The reason was that the records about the history of coma were inconsistent or there were alterations and additional information., Conclusions: In the past, the conditions for appraisal of post-concussion syndrome disability were too lax and must be further standardized and strictly controlled.

20. Solid-state synthesis of single-phase nickel monophosphosulfide for the oxygen evolution reaction.

- Abstract
High-performance and cost-effective nonprecious-metal catalysts are essential for the next-generation oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, the electrocatalysis of the OER during water splitting is often carried out by using noble metal catalysts, such as RuO
2 or IrO2 with high-cost and limited stability. Herein, we reported a successful synthesis of a ternary nickel monophosphosulfide (NiPS) compound via a simple solid-state route and further investigated its electrocatalytic performances for water oxidation. It is found that the NiPS electrocatalyst exhibits good OER performance in 1.0 M KOH solution, i.e. , achieving a current density of 20 mA cm-2 at an overpotential of 400 mV and a Tafel slope of 126 mV dec-1 , comparable to commercial benchmark RuO2 . The ternary NiPS electrocatalyst for the OER is superior to its binary counterparts, i.e. , Ni2 P and NiS. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations combined with ex situ XPS were performed to obtain further insights into the intrinsic catalytic mechanism of NiPS, and their results clearly revealed that the instability of the NiO intermediate during the OH* → O* process and the easy oxidation of the (PS)3- anion favoring the formation of hydroxyl-based species ( i.e. , Ni(OH)2 /NiOOH) on the surface of the catalyst, which plays a crucial role in facilitating the OER activity. Furthermore, we creatively extended this method to the fabrication of heteroatom substituted catalysts and a new quaternary CoNiP2 S2 compound was successfully synthesized for the first time in the same way. The structural properties and electrocatalytic performance towards the OER for CoNiP2 S2 ( e.g. , 20 mA cm-2 at 376 mV) are also systematically investigated in this work.- Published

- Abstract
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, we investigated antihypertensive treatment effect of a quadruple single-pill combination of reserpine 0.1 mg, dihydralazine 12.5 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg, and triamterene 12.5 mg, and changes in plasma levels of monoamine neurotransmitters (serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine) in patients with grade 1 hypertension. Eligible patients with a systolic/diastolic blood pressure (BP, average of six readings at two clinic visits during a 4-week run-in period) of 140-159/90-99 mmHg were randomly assigned to the quadruple combination (n = 30) or placebo (n = 30). The randomized patients were instructed to take a pill of the combination or placebo once daily and followed up at 4, 8, and 12 weeks, respectively. Monoamine neurotransmitters were measured at baseline and 12 weeks of follow-up. After 12-week treatment, systolic/diastolic BP significantly (p ≤ .0001) decreased from 140.8 ± 7.9/89.5 ± 7.5 mmHg at baseline by 9.8 ± 1.8/6.4 ± 1.3 mmHg in the combination group. The corresponding values in the placebo group were 141.3 ± 7.9/90.3 ± 7.3 mmHg and 5.2 ± 1.8/0.4 ± 1.3 mmHg, respectively. The between-group differences in systolic/diastolic BP changes were -4.6/-6.0 mmHg (95% CI, -9.7 to 0.6/-9.7 to -2.2 mmHg, p ≤ .08). The control rate of hypertension was higher in the combination than placebo group (63.3% vs. 16.7%, p = .0002). Plasma serotonin, but not norepinephrine or dopamine, changed in both treatment and placebo groups (p ≤ .01). Nonetheless, plasma norepinephrine tended to decrease in the treatment group (-34.4 pg/ml, p = .09). Adverse events occurred in 5 (16.7%) and 3 (10.0%) patients in the combination and placebo groups, respectively. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world, and antineoplastic drug research continues to be a major field in medicine development. The marine milieu has thousands of biological species that are a valuable source of novel functional proteins and peptides, which have been used in the treatment of many diseases, including cancer. In contrast with proteins and polypeptides, small peptides (with a molecular weight of less than 1000 Da) have overwhelming advantages, such as preferential and fast absorption, which can decrease the burden on human gastrointestinal function. Besides, these peptides are only connected by a few peptide bonds, and their small molecular weight makes it easy to modify and synthesize them. Specifically, small peptides can deliver nutrients and drugs to cells and tissues in the body. These characteristics make them stand out in relation to targeted drug therapy. Nowadays, the anticancer mechanisms of the small marine peptides are still largely not well understood; however, several marine peptides have been applied in preclinical treatment. This paper highlights the anticancer linear and cyclic small peptides in marine resources and presents a review of peptides and the derivatives and their mechanisms.

23. [Prognostic Value of CD123 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients with Intermediate Risk in Normal Karyotype].

Objective: To investigate the expression of CD123 in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and its relationship between clinical features, concomitant fusion gene or gene mutation, efficacy and prognosis., Methods: 365 patients with newly diagnosed AML (except M3) treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were enrolled and retrospective analysis, and multi-parameter flow cytometry was performed to detect the expression of CD123 in myeloid leukemia cell population. CD123≥20% was defined as positive. Clinical features, concomitant fusion gene or gene mutation, efficacy and prognosis of CD123
+ and CD123- patients were compared and analyzed., Results: The positive rate of CD123 in 365 newly diagnosed AML patients was 38.9%. Compared with the CD123- group, the white blood cell count (WBC), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level and bone marrow blast cell ratio were higher in the CD123+ group, and the ratio of NPM1 and DMNT3a gene mutations and the CBFβ-MYH11 fusion gene was significantly increased, while the ratio of CEBPA gene mutation and AML-ETO fusion gene was significantly reduced. The rate of first inducing complete remission and total remission in CD123+ group was significantly lower than that in CD123- group. There was no significant difference in recurrence rate between the two groups (P>0.05). Survival analysis showed that in 77 AML patients with normal karyotype and intermediate risk, the 2-year overall survival (OS) rate and event-free survival (EFS) rate of the CD123+ group were significantly lower than those of the CD123- group. Multivariate analysis showed that CD123 was an independent prognostic risk factor for OS and EFS in AML patients with normal karyotype and intermediate risk., Conclusion: CD123 positive indicates that AML patients have higher tumor burden and are more difficult to reach remission. It is an independent risk factor for OS and EFS in patients with normal karyotype and intermediate risk, which is important to evaluate the prognosis of patients with AML without specific prognostic marker.- Published

24. Blood Pressure Variability during Angiography in Patients with Ischemic Stroke and Intracranial Artery Stenosis.

Our aim was to investigate factors predicting blood pressure (BP) variability during diagnostic cerebral angiography and associations between BP variability and clinical outcomes in patients with acute and subacute ischemic stroke and intracranial artery stenosis. 114 patients with ischemic stroke and intracranial artery stenosis (stenosis rate >50%) were recruited. Patients who underwent cerebral angiography within 3 days and 3-14 days of disease onset are referred to be Group A and Group S, respectively. BP variability in Group A was defined as the coefficient of variance (CV) of BP. Univariate and multivariate regression analyses were used to identify predictors of CV of BP and associations between CV of BP and clinical outcomes at discharge. In Group A patients, advanced age was associated with increased CV of SBP and diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and antihypertensive use was associated with lower CV of SBP. Male was associated with lower CV of DBP. In Group S, higher CV of SBP was associated with hypertension and antihypertensive use. Males had lower CV of SBP than females. The calcium channel blocker was associated with lower CV of DBP. Higher scores of the Stroke Scale at admission were significantly associated with poor clinical outcomes for both groups, while BP variability was not. Factors associated with BP variability are significantly different between stroke patients undergoing angiography within 3 days vs. 3-14 days after disease onset. Since December 2019, a pneumonia caused by a new coronavirus, i.e. COVID-19 occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Although the epidemic in China has been bought under control, the global COVID-19 situation is still grim. Severe traumatic brain injury (TBI), as one of critical conditions in the department of neurosurgery, requires an early and effective treatment, especially surgery. There were currently no reliable guidelines on how to perform perioperative protection in TBI patients with suspected or confirmed coronavirus infection. According to the corresponding treatment regulations and guidelines issued by the authorities, we summarized the management strategy of TBI patients in perioperative period during the COVID-19 outbreak based on medical and nursing practice, in order to provide a reference for clinicians., (Copyright © 2020. 26. Small Nucleolar RNA, C/D Box 16 (SNORD16) Acts as a Potential Prognostic Biomarker in Colon Cancer.

- Abstract
Colon cancer (CC) is considered one of the most common and lethal malignancies occurring both in male and female. Its widespread prevalence demonstrates the need for novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for CC. Emerging evidence has shown that small nucleolar RNAs play critical roles in tumor development. In this study, we investigated the expression profile and functions of SNORD16 in CC. Our data showed that SNORD16, rather than its host gene (RPL4), was upregulated in CC cell lines. Compared to matched adjacent normal tissues, CC tissues showed higher SNORD16 expression levels, and no correlation was found between SNORD16 and RPL4. Patients with high SNORD16 expression levels had a worse prognosis, and multivariate analysis showed the high SNORD16 expression was an independent prognostic factor for CC. In vitro gain- and loss-of-function studies revealed that SNORD16 can promote cell growth, proliferation, migration, and invasion of CC cells by inhibiting apoptosis. Purpose: To introduced our experience with progressive extra-axial hematoma (EAH) in the original frontotemporoparietal (FTP) site after contralateral decompressive surgery (CDS) in traumatic brain injury patients and discuss the risk factors associated with this dangerous situation., Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on 941 patients with moderate or severe TBI treated in Daping Hospital, Army Medical University, Chongqing, China in a period over 5 years (2013-2017). Only patients with bilateral lesion, the contralateral side being the dominant lesion, and decompressive surgery on the contralateral side conducted firstly were included. Patients were exclude if (1) they underwent bilateral decompression or neurosurgery at the original location firstly; (2) although surgery was performed first on the contralateral side, surgery was done again at the contralateral side due to re-bleeding or complications; (3) patients younger than 18 years or older than 80 years; and (4) patients with other significant organ injury or severe disorder or those with abnormal coagulation profiles. Clinical and radiographic variables reviewed were demographic data, trauma mechanisms, neurological condition assessed by Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score at admission, pupil size and reactivity, use of mannitol, time interval from trauma to surgery, Rotterdam CT classification, type and volume of EAH, presence of a skull fracture overlying the EAH, status of basal cistern, size of midline shift, associated brain lesions and types, etc. Patients were followed-up for at least 6 months and the outcome was graded by Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) score as favorable (scores of 4-5) and unfavorable (scores of 1-3). Student's t-test was adopted for quantitative variables while Pearson Chi-squared test or Fisher's exact test for categorical variables. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was also applied to estimate the significance of risk factors., Results: Initially 186 patients (19.8%) with original impact locations at the FTP site and underwent surgery were selected. Among them, 66 met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. But only 50 patients were included because the data of the other 16 patients were incomplete. Progressive EAH developed at the original FTP site in 11 patients after the treatment of, with an incidence of 22%. Therefore the other 39 patients were classified as the control group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that both the volume of the original hematoma and the absence of an apparent midline shift were significant predictors of hematoma progression after decompressive surgery. Patients with fracture at the original impact site had a higher incidence of progressive EAH after CDS, however this factor was not an important predictor in the multivariate model. We also found that patients with progressive EAH had a similar favorable outcome with control group., Conclusion: Progressive EAH is correlated with several variables, such as hematoma volumes ≥10 mL at the original impact location and the absence of an apparent midline shift (<5 mm). Gene-environment interaction is identified as the determinant in anxiety. ABO blood types represent a part of the genetic phenotype. Therefore, we assume ABO blood types correlate with preoperative anxiety. This cross-sectional study enrolled 352 patients with different ABO blood types, scheduled for elective surgery between 2018 and 2019 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University. HADS (hospital anxiety and depression scale) scores and VA (visual analogue scales for anxiety) scores were all used to assess the preoperative anxiety in the A, B, AB, and O groups. Bivariate correlation and logistic regression were performed to identify relationships between preoperative anxiety and related variables. A significant difference in VA and HADS-A (anxiety) scores was found between the AB and other groups. The ratio of preoperative anxiety was 3.73 (95% CI [confidence interval]: 2.32-6.00, P < 0.001) times in female than in male; 0.36 (95% CI: 0.21-0.63, P < 0.001) times in ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists) grade II than in grade I; 0.41 (95% CI: 0.20-0.86, P < 0.05) times in ASA grade III than in grade I; 1.25 (95% CI: 1.1-1.41, P < 0.001) times in higher VAS (visual analogue scales for pain) scores than in lower VAS scores; and 0.28 (95% CI: 0.16-0.49, P < 0.01) times in non-AB blood type than in AB blood type. Differences in ABO blood types were found in preoperative anxiety, and the AB group displayed a high preoperative anxiety level. ABO blood types, sex, ASA grade, and VAS were associated with preoperative anxiety. Abstract: Objective To explore the applied value of mismatch negative (MMN) in evaluation of severity of mental disorders due to traumatic brain injury. Methods Thirty-five patients(case group) that conform to the diagnostic criteria of organic (traumatic brain injury) mental disorder in ICD-10 Classification of Mental and Behavioural Disorders criteria were selected. Twenty-four healthy subjects (normal control group) that matched the case group in terms of gender, age composition ratio and educational level were selected. All subjects were evaluated by Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL) and Social Disability Screening Schedule (SDSS) and then examined by Event-Related Potential (ERP). A statistical analysis of the data was made by SPSS 22.0 software. Results The 32 patients and 24 normal control subjects completed the study. The scores of ADL and SDSS were significantly higher in the case group than in the normal control group ( P <0.05). The latency of Fz, FCz, Cz and Pz in the case group was significantly longer than that in the normal control group ( P <0.05). In the case group, the latency of Fz, FCz, Cz and Pz was positively correlated with the scores of ADL and SDSS ( P <0.05). The equation can be well fitted with the scores of ADL and SDSS. The latency and amplitude of Fz, FCz, Cz and Pz were used as concomitant variables and whether or not the subjects had mental disorders due to traumatic brain injury as dependent variables. Conclusion The latency of MMN can be used as an indicator in potential evaluation of the severity of mental disorders due to traumatic brain injury, which means that the longer the latency of MMN is, the more severe mental disorders due to traumatic brain injury may be. 30. [A machine learning model on orthokeratology lens fitting based on the data of optometry examination].

Objective: To get an orthokeratology lens fitting model according to the research of the optometry examination data, which can help to improve the work efficiency and increase the hitting rate of prescription. Methods: The relationship between the basic optometry examination data and the effective optometry prescription was evaluated. We got 1 467 sets of data, including 80%(1 173) for training and 20%(294) for testing. The trail results were used for the 20% testing sets, and 100% completed sets for verification. With the contrast of accuracy, we got the influencing variables and the fitting model. Logistic regression and linear regression analysis were applied to the training set for building a fitting model, and the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC curve) was drawn to determine the optimal threshold of the logistic regression model (1.0).The trail results are used for the 20% testing sets, 100% completed sets for verification. With the contrast of accuracy (ACC), we get the influencing variables and the fitting model. Results: Kf-FK and Ks-SK were selected as dependent variables. Through analysis of Stepwise regression, we found the influencing variables of Kf-FK were Kf( P= 0.01), E(mean) ( P= 0.027), and CYL( P< 0.001), with FK=6.23+0.866kf - 1.69 E(mean)+0.16CYL, and the precision rate was 81%( r (2)=0.95). The influencing variables of Ks-SK were Ks ( P< 0.001), CYL ( P= 0.00), and E(mean) ( P< 0.001), with SK=6.84+0.862ks - 0.28E(mean) - 1.3CYL, and the precision rate was 80%( r (2)=0.93). By selecting the logistic method and decision tree analysis for glasses design, the influencing variables were KS ( P< 0.001)and CYL ( P< 0.001). The logistic function was Desig n=- 45.7+0.82Ks+6.027CYL, and the precision rate was 87%. Conclusions: The combination of AI and medical data can verify the expert experience and guide the optometrist to locate the prescription quickly and accurately. Try to break the traditional mode of fitting with wearing the orthokeratology lens shortly, and it is possible for us to position the prescription quickly through the calculation of a computer. Long-term headache attacks may cause human brain network reorganization in patients with migraine. In the current study, we calculated the topologic properties of functional networks based on the Brainnetome atlas using graph theory analysis in 29 female migraineurs without aura (MWoA) and in 29 female age-matched healthy controls. Compared with controls, female MWoA exhibited that the network properties altered, and the nodal centralities decreased/increased in some brain areas. In particular, the right posterior insula and the left medial superior occipital gyrus of patients exhibited significantly decreased nodal centrality compared with healthy controls. Furthermore, female MWoA exhibited a disrupted functional network, and notably, the two sub-regions of the right posterior insula exhibited decreased functional connectivity with many other brain regions. The topological metrics of functional networks in female MWoA included alterations in the nodal centrality of brain regions and disrupted connections between pair regions primarily involved in the discrimination of sensory features of pain, pain modulation or processing and sensory integration processing. In addition, the posterior insula decreased the nodal centrality, and exhibited disrupted connectivity with many other brain areas in female migraineurs, which suggests that the posterior insula plays an important role in female migraine pathology.

Objectives: To explore the applied value of electroencephalogram (EEG) in assessment of psychiatric impairment among patients with mental disorders due to traumatic brain injury., Methods: According to the ICD-10, a total of 271 subjects were enrolled and assessed with the criterion of mental disorders due to traumatic brain injury. Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL), Functional Activities Questionnaire (FAQ) and Social Disability Screening Schedule (SDSS) were used to evaluate the severity of patients. All the participants were tested by Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) and examined by EEG., Results: Totally 215 patients accomplished the study. The results of Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), the severity of craniocerebral injury and the scores of FAQ, SDSS and ADL showed significant difference among the patients with different severity of EEG ( P <0.05). Migraine is a common recurrent neurological disorder combining nausea, vomiting, and hypersensitivities to visual, auditory, olfactory and somatosensory stimuli. However, the dysfunction of the sensorimotor network in migraineurs has not been well clarified. In the present study, we evaluated the dysfunction of the sensorimotor network in 30 migraineurs without aura and in 31 controls by combining regional homogeneity (ReHo), amplitudes of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and degree centrality (DC) analysis methods based on resting-state fMRI. A seed-based functional connectivity (FC) analysis was used to investigate whether the dysfunctional areas within the sensorimotor network exhibited abnormal FC with other brain areas. Compared to the controls, the migraineurs without aura exhibited significantly smaller ReHo, ALFF and DC values in the primary somatosensory cortex (S1) and right premotor cortex (PMC). The migraineurs showed weaker FC between the S1 and brain areas within the pain intensity and spatial discrimination pathways and trigemino-thalamo-cortical nociceptive pathway. We proposed that the dysfunction of the S1 and PMC and the decreased FC between the S1 and brain areas in migraineurs without aura may disrupt the discrimination of sensory features of pain and affect nociception pathways, and would be involved in the dysfunctional mechanism in migraine.

Objective: To explore the differences of CD146 expression in adult and children's acute B cell lymphoblastic leukemia(B-ALL), and its relation with clinical features, molecular biological and cytogenctic claracteristics., Methods: The expression of CD146 in bone marrow samples from adult and children's B-ALL patients were detected by flow cytometry (FCM) and the relation of CD146 abnormal high expression with the patients' clinical features, molecular biological and cytogenetical characteristics, as well as other antigens were analyzed., Results: The abnormal high expression rates of CD146 in adult and children's B-ALL patients were 29.17% and 9.09% respectively, showing that the expression rate of CD146 in adult patients was higher than that in children's patients(P<0.05). In adult B-ALL, CD146 was positively related with CD64 and CD117, while in children's B-ALL CD146 was positively related with CD71 and CD58 (P<0.05). After 1 course of standardized chemotherapy, the complete remission rates in adult and children's B-ALL patients with abnormal high expression of CD146 both were low as compared with adult and children's B-ALL without abnormal high expression of CD146 (P<0.05)., Conclusion: The expression rate of CD146 in adult B-ALL is higher than that in children's B-ALL. The CD146 positively relates with poor prognostic antigens, the CD146 may be one poor prognosis marker.

Objective: To investigate the expression of N-cadherin in bone marrow leukemic cells derived from acute leukemia patients and its clinical significances., Methods: A total of 113 patients with acute leukemia were enrolled in this study. Flow cytometry was employed to detect the expression of N-Cadherin in bone marrow leukemic cells from acute leukemia patients and the relationships between the N-cadherin expression and the clinical characteristics of patients with acute leukemia were analyzed., Results: The expression of N-Cadherin in bone marrow leukemic cells deriveted from patients with acute leukemia was variable with 0%-99.7%. For adult AML patients, the positive rate of CD34 in N-cadherin
+ group was significantly higher than that in N-cadherin- group(67.39% vs 33.33%)(P=0.013), while the differences of total CR rate and rate of CR after 1 cycle of induction treatment were not significant between these 2 groups(P>0.05). As to ALL patients, N-cadherin+ group had significant lower WBC count (21.31±7.07 vs 51.10±23.69)(P=0.008) and lower percentage of peripheral blood blast (43.22±5.75% vs 66.45±5.65%)(P=0.015). The CR rate after 1 cycle of induction treatment and rate of overall CR were lower and the relapse rate was higher in N-cadherin+ ALL group than those in N-cadherin- ALL group, but the differences were not significant (P>0.05). For childhood ALL, the positive rate of CD33 in N-cadherin+ group was significantly higher than that in N-cadherin- group(47.62% vs 0%)(P=0.012). The relapse rate was higher in N-cadherin+ group than that in N-cadherin- group (30.00% vs 0%)(P=0.115). The median survival time, 3-year overall OS rate and 3-year relapse-free survival rate in N-cadherin- groups of adult AML, non-M3 AML, ALL and chidhood ALL paients were superior to N-cadherin+ groups, but the differences were not significant., Conclusion: The expression of N-cadherin in bone marrow leukemic cells relates to some clinical features of patients with acute leukemia and to some extent has inferior effect on survival of patients with acute leukemia.- Published

A versatile approach towards nanofabrication of highly reproducible Co/BiCoO3 (Co/BCO) core/shell (CS) nanowires (NWs) with different diameters has been adopted by demonstrating easily available and low cost sol-gel and electrodeposition routes. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the tetragonal system of the BCO nanoshells (NSs) with the space group P4mm. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) clearly demonstrates the uniform morphology with well aligned CS NWs. The magnetization reversal processes (MRPs), experimentally and with analytical modelling, have been discussed for CS NWs with θ ranging from 0° (in-plane magnetic easy axis) to 90° (out-of-plane magnetic hard axis) with magnetic hysteresis loops and geometrical parameters. Crossover from the vortex to transverse reversal mode on increasing θ has been observed for all diameters. An exchange bias effect has been observed for smaller CS NWs diameters and it is attributed to the shell thickness of ∼25 nm. Furthermore, the magnetic anisotropy effect has been discussed in some detail.

- Abstract
Objective: CHA2DS2-VASc is the extension of the CHADS2 score developed by Birmingham 2009. This risk stratification schema is often used in clinical setting when considering additional risk factors for developing stroke in AF patients. However, its role in the non-AF population is unknown. This study was designed to evaluate the accuracy of the CHADS2 and the CHA2DS2-VASc scoring systems., Methods: Studies designed for CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc score in stratifying the risks for stroke development in non-AF patients were included., Results: Among the 114 studies identified, six trials were chosen finally and included for meta-analysis. The pooled diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) for CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc was 2.86 (95% CI =1.83-4.28) and 2.80 (95% CI =1.83-4.28), respectively. CHA2DS2-VASc score was of better sensitivity than CHADS2 score (0.920 vs. 0.768). However, both scores were showed to have inherent heterogeneity and poor specificity., Conclusions: Though having good diagnostic accuracy, the clinical application of the CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc scores in predicting risk of stroke development in non-AF patients still needs further validation. Key message The overall diagnostic accuracy of CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc in stroke-risk stratification was good in patients with non-atrial fibrillation.

Background: Recent evidence suggests that pulse pressure (PP) is a strong cardiovascular diseases' risk factor. We systematically evaluated all relevant studies to determine whether PP can be used as an independent predictor of stroke and mortality., Methods and Results: A meta-analysis was performed by searching the published literature using MEDLINE, Cochrane and Google Scholar databases up to December 15, 2015. We measured the effect size expressed by hazard ratio (HR) and 95 % confidence interval (95 % CI). Eleven publications were included in the analysis. Pooled results demonstrated that 10 mmHg increase in PP was associated with increased risk of stroke occurrence (pooled HR 1.046, 95 % CI 1.025-1.068, P < 0.001). Additionally, systolic blood pressure (SBP) (pooled HR 1.053, 95 % CI 1.033-1.073, P < 0.001) and diastolic blood pressure (DPB) (pooled HR 1.056, 95 % CI 1.038-1.074, P < 0.001) were found to be significant predictors for stroke. We did not find a significant association between PP and all-cause mortality (pooled HR 1.022, 95 % CI 0.983-1.063, P = 0.270). We found SBP (pooled HR 1.008, 95 % CI 1.002-1.014, P = 0.012), but not DBP (pooled HR 1.023, 95 % CI 0.964-1.085, P = 0.451) to be significantly associated with all-cause mortality., Conclusions: Current data confirms that PP is an independent risk factor for stroke but is not a predictor of mortality.

Objective: To explore the main performance of personality change in people with mild psychiatric impairments which due to the brain trauma caused by traffic accidents and its value in assessment of psychiatric impairment., Methods: The condition of personality change of patients with traumatic brain injury caused by traffic accident was evaluated by the Scale of Personality Change Post-traumatic Brain Injury (SPCPTBI). Furthermore, the correlation between the personality change and the degrees of traumatic brain injury and psychiatric impairment were explored. Results In 271 samples, 239 (88.2%) with personality changes. Among these 239 samples, 178 (65.7%), 46 (17.0%), 15 (5.5%) with mild, moderate and severe personality changes, respectively. The ratio based on the extent of personality changes to the degree of brain trauma was not significant (P > 0.05), but the total score difference between the groups was significant (P < 0.05). There was no statistical significance between the medium and high severity brain trauma groups. The higher degree of personality changes, the higher rank of mental disabilities. The total score difference of the scale of personality change among the different mild psychiatric impairment group was significant (P<0.05). The difference between other psychiatric impairment levels had statistical significance (P < 0.05) except level 7 and 8., Conclusion: The occurrence of personality change due to traumatic brain injury caused by traffic accident was high. Correlations exist between the personality change and the degree of psychiatric impairment. Personality change due to brain trauma caused by traffic accident can be assessed effectively by means of SPCPTBI, and the correlation between the total score and the extent of traumatic brain injury can be found.

- Abstract
Objective: To investigate the CD25 expression in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and its significance., Methods: Clinical data of 168 newly diagnosed AML patients (except APL) were collected. The expression of CD25 in AML patients and its clinical characteristics were retrospectively analyzed., Results: The leukemia cells of 29 out of 168 cases (17.26%) expressed CD25 antigen. Most of CD25 positive AML patients were occurred in patients with unfavourable or normal karyotype, higher WBC and Plt count at diagnosis and higher percentage of blasts in peripheral blood and bone marrow. Compared with CD25(-) AML patients, CD25(+) AML patients had lower CR rate (the CR rate of 1 course of treatment were 49.02% and 16.00%, respectively, P < 0.05, the CR rate of 2 courses of treatment were 74.60% and 46.67%, respectively, P < 0.05), and the OS time of CD25(+) AML patients were obviously shorter (P < 0.05). The OS in CD25(+) AML patients with unfavorable karyotype were not significantly different from that in patients with intermediate karyotype (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: The CD25(+) AML patients have some typical clinical features, and the expression of CD25 in AML is an risk factor independent of the chromosome karyotype in terms of low complete remission rate and short survival time.

- Abstract
We investigated the roles of tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) and its receptor death receptor 5 (DR5) in the onset of acute leukemia and changes in their expression during chemotherapy. Bone marrow samples from 16 patients newly diagnosed with acute leukemia were collected before chemotherapy. Bone marrow samples from patients with non-hematologic malignancies served as the control group. Peripheral blood samples of patients with acute leukemia were also collected before chemotherapy and at 1 and 3 days after chemotherapy. Mononuclear cells in the bone marrow and peripheral blood were isolated and used to detect the expression of TRAIL and DR5 by flow cytometry. Compared with mononuclear cells from the control group, mononuclear cells from newly diagnosed patients with acute leukemia showed no significant difference in the expression of TRAIL (P > 0.05) but showed significantly increased expression of DR5 (P < 0.05). TRAIL and DR5 expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells after chemotherapy was significantly increased compared to expression before chemotherapy (P < 0.05). Patients showing high expression of DR5 had a higher remission rate. One of the mechanisms underlying the treatment of leukemia with chemotherapy drugs may be the induction of TRAIL and DR5, which may promote apoptosis in leukemia cells. TRAIL-mediated apoptosis is regulated by DR5 expression.

- Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression of N-Cadherin in the patients with multiple myeloma (MM) and to explore its clinical significance., Methods: A total of 64 patients with multiple myeloma were enrolled in this study. The expression of N-Cadherin in bone marrow CD38⁺/CD138⁺ cells from multiple myeloma patients was detected by flow cytometry. The relationship between N-Cadherin expression and clinical prognostic factors was analyzed., Results: Among 64 cases of MM, the expression of N-Cadherin in 17 patients (26.56%) was high (> 20%), while that in 47 cases (73.44%) was low (< 20%); The differences of N-Cadherin expression in disease staging and classification, known prognostic factors, myeloma cell antigen expression and bone damage between patients with high and low N-Cadherin expression were not statistically different; the difference N-Cadherin expression in genetic abnormalities such as D13S319 deletion, RB1 deletion and IGH gene rearrangement between above-methioned two groups was not significant. The 1q21 amplification rate in the group with high expression of N-Cadherin was enhanced significently; the overall survival (OS) times of patients with abnormally high and low expression levels of N-Cadherin were 26.7 months and 55.5 months respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: The high expression of N-Cadherin in multiple myeloma may be one of the indicator for poor prognosis of MM, which may be related with 1q21 amplification.

- Abstract
Objective: To explore the expression of PD-L1 in acute leukemia patients, and to analyze the relationship of PD-L1 expression with the patients' clinical characteristics and prognosis., Methods: The expression of PD-L1 in leukemia cells of 75 patients including 59 de novo patients and 16 relapse/refractory patients with acute leukemia was detected by the flow cytometry, the clinical information was collected, and the therapeutic efficacy of de novo patients was analyzed., Results: The PD-L1 was expressed in human acute leukemia cells with total expression rate 32% (24/75), and its expression level in AML-M5 was higher than that in other leukemias [56.3% (9/16) vs 25.4% (15/59)], there was statistical significance (P = 0.019). The PD-L1 possitive rate in relapse/refractory group was higher than that in de novo patient group [(56.3% (9/16) vs 25.4% (15/59)], and there was statistical significance (P = 0.019). In 59 de novo patients, the CR rate of PD-L1 positive group after 1 course of chemotherapy was lower than that in PD-L1 negative group (66.7% vs 71.4%), the CR rate of PD-L1 positive group after 2 courses of chemotherapy was also lower than that in PD-L1 negative group (70% vs 88.6%). The relapse rate and the proportion of refractory patients in PD-L1 possitive group were higher than those in PD-L1 negative group. The expression of PD-L1 did not correlated with the clinical parameters, such as sex, age, extramedullary infiltration, percentage of blast cells in bone marrow, counts of WBC, RBC and platelet, as well as molecular biological features and cytogenetical characteristics., Conclusion: PD-L1 is expressed in human acute leukemia cells, and may be involved in the immune escape and primary resistant mechanisms, PD-L1 may be used as an indicator for evaluation of the the patients' prognosis and reocurrence.

44. Blood Pressure Reduction in the Acute Phase of an Ischemic Stroke Does Not Improve Short- or Long-Term Dependency or Mortality: A Meta-Analysis of Current Literature.

- Abstract
The purpose of this study was to perform a meta-analysis of current literature to determine whether lowering blood pressure (BP) during the acute phase of an ischemic stroke improves short- and long-term outcomes. PubMed, Cochrane, and Embase were searched until September 5, 2014 using combinations of the search terms: blood pressure reduction, reduced blood pressure, lowering blood pressure, ischemic stroke, acute stroke, and intra-cerebral hemorrhage. Inclusion criteria were randomized controlled trial and patients with acute stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic) treated with an antihypertensive agent or placebo. Outcome measures were change in systolic and diastolic BP (SBP, DBP) after treatment, and short- and long-term dependency and mortality rates. A total of 459 studies were identified, and ultimately 22 studies were included in the meta-analysis. The total number of participants in the treatment groups was 5672 (range, 6-2308), and in the control groups was 5416 (range, 6-2033). In most studies, more than 50% of the participants were males and the mean age was more than 60 years. The mean follow-up time ranged from 5 days to 12 months. As expected, treatment groups had a greater decrease in BP than control groups, and this effect was seen with different classes of antihypertensive drugs. Short-term and long-term dependency rates were similar between treatment and control groups (short-term dependency: pooled odds ratio [OR] = 1.041, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.936-1.159, P = 0.457; long-term dependency: pooled OR = 1.013, 95% CI: 0.915-1.120, P = 0.806). Short-term or long-term mortality was similar between the treatment and control groups (short-term mortality: pooled OR = 1.020, 95% CI: 0.749-1.388, P = .902; long-term mortality: pooled OR = 1.039, 95% CI: 0.883-1.222, P = 0.644). Antihypertensive agents effectively reduce BP during the acute phase of an ischemic stroke, but provide no benefit with respect to short- and long-term dependency and mortality.

45. Functional properties and structure changes of soybean protein isolate after subcritical water treatment.

- Abstract
Subcritical water is an emerging method in food industry. In this study, soybean protein isolate (SPI) was treated by subcritical water (SBW) at various temperatures (0, 120, 160, 200 °C) for 20 min. The changes in the appearances, physicochemical properties and structural changes were investigated. After SBW treatment, the color of SPI solution modified turned to be yellow. The mean particle size and turbidity of SPI had similar behaviors. The mean particle size was decreased from 263.7 nm to 116.8 nm at 120 °C and then reached the maximum at 160 °C (1446.1 nm) due to the aggregation of protein. Then it was decreased to 722.9 nm at 200 °C caused by the protein degradation. SBW treatment could significantly enhance the solubility, emulsifying and foaming properties of SPI. With increasing temperature, the crystalline structure of protein was gradually collapsed. The degradation of the protein advanced structure occurred, especially at 200 °C revealed by ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry. Better functional properties exhibited in hydrolysis products indicating that SBW treatment could be used as a good method to modify the properties of soy proteins isolate for specific purposes under appropriate treatment condition.

- Abstract
The prevalence of violence behavior in patients with schizophrenia is higher than that in common population. Data suggest that genetic factors may play a substantial role for the etiology of the behavior. Among the particular gene polymorphisms that have been considered to be involved in violence behavior, the catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) gene had been the focus of recent research. This article reviews the association research between COMT gene and violence behavior in patients with schizophrenia in several aspects: SNP polymorphism of COMT Val158Met and COMT Ala72Ser, haplotype of COMT gene and DNA methylation of promoter region of COMT gene. The genetic research direction is presented for patients with schizophrenia.

Objective: To explore the methods to assess the function disorder of patients with mild psychiatric impairment due to road traffic accidents., Methods: In contrast to that of the patient with physical impairment, the function disorder of the patient with mild psychiatric impairment was assessed by the standard assessment instruments, such as the Barthel index of ADL (BI), Functional Activities Questionnaire (FAQ), Social Disability Screening Schedule (SDSS), Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL), Physical Self-maintenance Scale (PSMS), and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale (IADL)., Results: Except BI, the each total score of FAQ, SDSS, ADL, PSMS, and IADL correlated well with the rank of psychiatric impairment. The difference of each total score of rating scales among different physical impairment rank was not statistically significant. At the impairment rank of level 10, the difference of each total score of FAQ and ADL was not significant between the two groups; each total score of BI, SDSS, and IADL in psychiatric impairment was higher than that of physical impairment, while the total score of PSMS in psychiatric impairment was lower than that of physical impairment. At the level 9, except PSMS, the each total score of BI, FAQ, SDSS, IADL and ADL in psychiatric impairment was higher than that of physical impairment. At the level 8, except BI and PSMS, the each total score of FAQ, SDSS, IADL and ADL in psychiatric impairment was higher than that of physical impairment., Conclusion: The different criteria for assessment of mild psychiatric and physical impairment may exist, and appropriate indexes for assessment between physical and psychiatric impairment need to be further elucidated.

48. [Clinical characteristics of CD56(+) patients with acute monocytic leukemia and their prognostic significance].

- Abstract
This study was aimed to investigate the clinical features of CD56(+) patients with acute monocytic leukemia (AML-M5) and their prognostic significance. The data of 76 newly-diagnosed patients from our hospital were analyzed retrospectively. Patients were divided into two groups: CD56(+) group (21 patients) and CD56(-) group (55 patients). The clinical features, CR rate, relapse rate, the duration of CR, and survival time of patients between the two groups were compared. The results indicated that the CD56(+) antigen was observed in 21 patients (27.6%), their median age was 51.5 years and with a range 16 - 70 years. Of the 21 CD56(+) patients, the high WBC count was found in 57.1% CD56(+) patients (12/21), but it only in 15% CD56(-) patients (P < 0.05). The extramedullary infiltration was seen in 13 CD56(+) patients, and accounted for 62% (13/21), meanwhile this infiltration was found in 18 CD56(-) patients (18/55) and accounted for 33% (P < 0.05). All cases immunophenotypically highly expressed CD13, CD33, CD64, CD11b, cMPO, CD38, in which only the expression frequency of CD11b was positively related with CD56 (r = 0.59, P < 0.05). The CR rate in CD56(+) group accounted for 60.0%, and had no significant difference in comparison with that in CD56(-) group. In CD56(+) group the relapse rate was 75% (P = 0.042), the mean duration of CR was 5.5 months (95%CI, 3.1 - 8.6, P = 0.002), the median overall survival time was 10.1 months (95%CI, 2.3 - 16.3, P = 0.001). and all these had statistical significance as compared with that in CD56(-) group. It is concluded that CD56(+) AML-M5 patients always complicate with high WBC count and extramedullary infiltration, their CR rate and duration of CR are lower and shorter respectively, their relapse rate and prognosis are high and poor respectively.

49. Morphological and Molecular Identification of Cytospora germanica Causing Canker on Populus spp. in China.

- Abstract
Species of Cytospora Ehrenb. cause canker and dieback on many genera of hardwoods. During surveys of forest trees in 2004 and 2008, some hardwoods such as Populus spp. with symptoms of canker and dieback were found in Liaoning and Xinjiang provinces, respectively. In these trees, the canker pathogen discolored the sapwood. During wet weather, the conidia were exuded from the fruiting bodies in gelatinous matrices, usually as yellow or orange tendrils. In the spring, the affected trees were wilting and the diffuse cankers spread rapidly and extensively during the period when trees began active spring growth. For saplings, sometimes the death rate of the pathogen has exceeded 50%. Conidiomatal stromata immersed in bark, prominent, circular to ovoid, 1.10 ± 0.23 mm in diameter (n = 10). Discs were white, nearly flat, circular, 0.44 ± 0.04 mm in diameter (n = 10), with one or two ostioles per disc. Ostioles were gray. Locules were subdivided by invaginations into chambers. Conidia were hyaline and lelongate-allantoid shaped, 4 to 5.4 μm long and 1 to 1.4 μm wide. Pieces (5 × 5 mm
2 ) of the junction of affected and healthy tissues were surface sterilized with 1% NaOCl for 30 s and then rinsed twice in sterile distilled water. The fragments were placed on potato dextrose agar (PDA) plates incubated at 25°C for 7 days. The obtained isolates were cultured on PDA at 25°C in diffuse fluorescent light for 30 days, and then were deposited in the culture collection of the Chinese Academy of Forestry. According to these morphological features we initially thought that this pathogen was Cytospora chrysosperma (Pers.) Fr. However, BLAST analysis showed 98% and 99% homology with ITS sequence of isolate CBS118560 (GenBank Accession No. DQ243793), 99% and 100% homology with LSU gene of isolate AR3427 (AF362561) when we amplified ITS-rDNA gene and LSU gene of the isolates. The sequences were submitted to GenBank with the following accession numbers: JQ086563, JQ086564, JX524617, and JX524618. Pathogenicity tests were conducted in the greenhouse by inoculating 20 disinfected (70% ethanol) Populus tomentosa cuttings. Another two cuttings were treated with water agar as controls. The cuttings were incubated at 25°C for 30 days. In 18 of the 20 cuttings, the cambium became brown and appeared water soaked 20 days later, whereas controls did not show any symptoms. C. germanica was reisolated from symptomatic tissues. Inoculations were later repeated two times with similar results. Hubbes (1) and Spielman (2) considered V. germanica (teleomorph of C. germanica) a synonym of V. sordida (teleomorph of C. chrysosperma) based on morphological studies. We almost regarded these isolates as C. chrysosperma too. Morphological identification has been a weak and often inadequate means of identifying Cytospora species (1,2); the present study based on ITS-rDNA gene and LSU gene has substantially elevated identifications. To our knowledge, this is the first report of C. germanica on Populus spp. in China. - Abstract
This study was purposed to explore the correlation of chromosome karyotype with dyshaematopoiesis and reticulin in myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The data of 202 MDS patients diagnosed and treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were retrospectively analyzed in term of chromosome karyotype, dyshaematopoiesis and reticulin detection results. The chromosome karyotypes were categorized according to the International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS). The results showed that there was a positive correlation between chromosome karyotype grading and number of lineages with dyshaematopoiesis (r = 0.443, P < 0.05). The detected rates of multilineage dyshaematopoiesis in patients with good, intermediate and poor chromosome karyotypes were 44.4%, 71.4% and 96.3% respectively. There was a positive correlation between chromosome karyotype grading and reticulin grading (r = 0.451, P < 0.05). The positive rates of reticulin in patients with good grading, intermediate and poor chromosome karyotypes were 36.8%, 64.3% and 92.6% respectively. The detected rate of multilineage dyshaematopoiesis, number of lineages with dyshaematopoiesis, the positive rate of reticulin and reticulin grade in patients with poor karyotypes were higher than those in patients with intermediate or good chromosome karyotypes (separately P < 0.01). The above data in patients with intermediate chromosome karyotypes were higher than those in patients with good chromosome karyotypes (separately P < 0.01). It is concluded that the chromosome karyotype grading positively correlates with the number of lineages with dyshaematopoiesis and reticulin grading. When the chromosome karyotype changed from good to poor, the detected rate of multilineage dyshaematopoiesis, number of lineages with dyshaematopoiesis, positive rate of reticulin and reticulin grading became higher and higher.
