Typhoons are among the most significant natural disasters affecting the eastern and southern coastal regions of China, inflicting substantial annual damage on both coastal and inland areas. Since the initiation of the reform and opening-up policy, the socioeconomic development of the coastal regions of China has been swift, leading to increased exposure to typhoons. In the context of global climate change, typhoons are expected to increase in frequency and intensity in China. Therefore, researching on the spatiotemporal pattern characteristics of typhoons impacting China is of critical importance for understanding the impact patterns and risk changes of typhoon disasters, as well as for formulating policies on disaster response, prevention, and mitigation. This study aims to provide valuable insights into the formulation of such policies. Based on these objectives, this study utilized a comprehensive dataset, including county-level socioeconomic and disaster statistics, historical typhoon wind and rainfall data, and high-precision topographic data. Using county-level administrative regions as spatial units, this study employed various methods, such as time-series statistical analysis, gravity model, geographical detector, spatial correlation analysis, and geographically weighted regression, to analyze the spatiotemporal distribution patterns and influencing factors of typhoon disaster conditions in China from 1978 to 2020. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) The number of deaths and missing persons, quantity of damaged housing, death, and missing rate per million people, and proportion of direct economic loss to GDP caused by typhoon disasters have all shown a declining trend, indicating significant achievements in disaster prevention and mitigation efforts. (2) The center of gravity of typhoon disaster-related losses has shifted southward, corresponding with the economic development of coastal regions, demonstrating a reduced disaster impact in coastal areas and an increased impact in inland areas. (3) Wind and rain induced by typhoons are the primary driving factors of disaster conditions, and topographical factors are also drivers of casualties and crop loss. (4) The two major regions, Zhejiang-Northern Fujian and Western Guangdong-Eastern Guangxi, exhibit significant characteristics of disaster condition agglomeration, closely related to typhoon activity patterns and levels of economic development. (5) There is a negative correlation between the gross local product and disaster conditions in some areas, reflecting the role of socioeconomic development in enhancing the capacity for disaster prevention and mitigation.

This paper summarized the practice of emotional nursing by syndrome differentiation combined with narrative nursing for a patient with blood stasis and qi stagnation type lumbar disc herniation accompanied by emotional distress. Based on the analysis of Traditional Chinese Medicine pathogenesis of lumbar disc herniation and concept of emotional nursing by syndrome differentiation, the technique of clearing tendons and moving cupping along the bladder meridian on the back, the six character formula breathing method, dietary regulation, and daily life maintenance were carried out to relieve the emotional distress symptoms. Individualized nursing interventions by using narrative nursing skills were carried out to relieve the negative emotions of the patient. (本文总结1例采用中医辨证施志联合叙事护理方法调解腰椎间盘突出症患者情志不畅的护理经验。基于腰椎间盘突出症中医病机以及中医辨证施志理论, 给予背部足太阳膀胱经循筋解结走罐技术、六字诀吐纳法、饮食调护、日常生活养护等护理措施调节患者情志不畅的护理问题, 并运用叙事护理的沟通技巧, 为患者情志不畅症状提供了个性化护理, 有效缓解了患者的负性情绪。)

This research aims to unfold the mass exchange mechanism of water and soil on the soil surface in the rainfall splash erosion process. We regard the rainfall splash erosion process as a collision process between the raindrop and the soil particle on the soil interface. This recognition allows us to incorporate research approaches from the spring vibrator model, which has been developed for simulating the impact of liquid drops on solid surface. We further argue that because a same set of factors determine the splash amount and infiltration amount and it is relatively simpler to observe the infiltration amount, an investigation into the relationship between the splash amount and infiltration amount would be able to provide a new channel for quantifying the splash erosion. This recognition leads us to examining the relationship between single raindrop, rainfall kinetic energy and splash erosion from both theoretical and empirical angles, with an emphasis on the relationship between the infiltration amount and the splash erosion. Such an investigation would add value to the collective effort to establish mass exchange law in water-soil interface during rainfall splash erosion. It is found that during the rainfall splash process, the splash erosion is proportional to the rainfall kinetic energy; and has a linear relation to the infiltration amount, with the rainfall intensity as one of important parameters and the slope depending on the unit conversation of the infiltration amount and the splash erosion. If the units of two items are same, the slope is the ratio of the soil and water density, and the splash erosion velocity of the rainfall is half of the rainfall terminal velocity. The single raindrop kinetic energy and the splash erosion have a quadratic parabola relation, and the splash velocity is about 1/3 of single raindrop terminal velocity.

In order to realize the modeling and numerical simulation of the electromagnetic field distribution and wave propagation in interconnects of interposers for three-dimensional integration, the Finite Difference Time Domain(FDTD) method is used in this paper to reveal the propagation of two-dimensional TE(Transverse Electric) wave. Variations of the magnetic field at the boundary are compared when adding Mur and PML(Perfectly Matched Layer) absorbing boundary conditions respectively. The error curves and isophasal lines are plotted to validate the absorbing performance of these two boundary conditions. The results show that PML can be used as the absorbing boundary of a two-dimensional TE wave to ensure a more appropriate absorbing effect in engineering simulation.

Teaching quality evaluation of teacher is an important link in education and teaching activities, and an important index to measure the teaching level of teachers. It affects the level of a school and restricts the learning effect of students. The reform of college entrance examination system has brought new challenges to teachers' teaching quality evaluation. The traditional evaluation method based on absolute average score and standard deviation has been unable to meet the needs of the new teaching model. In this paper, by using "CEACV method", it will based on students’ achievement and theory of value-added evaluation, calculate the average score and the coefficient of variation of several examination results in each class and comprehensively consider the mean of average score and coefficient of variation increments from students' class. Then teaching quality evaluation of teachers will be realized, with the mean of increments are weighted and sorted respectively, and get the final ranking with value-added method which based on the mean ranking of average score and coefficient of variation increments. The results show that " CEACV method" is scientific and effective, and can evaluate the teaching quality fairly and justly.

Abstract In this paper, a general low-cost and substrate-independent chemical etching strategy is demonstrated for the synthesis of ZnO nanotubes array. During the chemical etching, the nanotubes array inherits many features from the preformed nanorods array, such as the diameter, size distribution, and alignment. The preferential etching along c axis and the surfactant protection to the lateral surfaces are considered responsible for the formation of ZnO nanotubes. This surfactant-assisted chemical etching strategy is highly expected to advance the research in the ZnO nanotube-based technology.

OBJECTIVE: Use systematic review methods to quantify the association between prostatitis and prostate cancer, under both fixed and random effects model. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION: Case control studies of prostate cancer with information on prostatitis history. All studies published between 1990-2012, were collected to calculate a pooled odds ratio. SELECTION CRITERIA: the selection criteria are as follows: human case control studies; published from May 1990 to July 2012; containing number of prostatitis, and prostate cancer cases. EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS: In total, 20 case control studies were included. A significant association between prostatitis and prostate cancer was found, under both fixed effect model (pooled OR=1.50, 95%CI: 1.39-1.62), and random effects model (OR=1.64, 95%CI: 1.36-1.98). Personal interview based case control studies showed a high level of association (fixed effect model: pooled OR=1.59, 95%CI: 1.47-1.73, random effects model: pooled OR= 1.87, 95%CI: 1.52-2.29), compared with clinical based studies (fixed effect model: pooled OR=1.05, 95%CI: 0.86-1.28, random effects model: pooled OR= 0.98, 95%CI: 0.67-1.45). Additionally, pooled ORs, were calculated for each decade. In a fixed effect model: 1990's: OR=1.58, 95% CI: 1.35-1.84; 2000's: OR=1.59, 95% CI: 1.40-1.79; 2010's: OR=1.37, 95% CI: 1.22-1.56. In a random effects model: 1990's: OR=1.98, 95% CI: 1.08-3.62; 2000's: OR=1.64, 95% CI: 1.23-2.19; 2010's: OR=1.34, 95% CI: 1.03-1.73. Finally a meta-analysis stratified by each country was conducted. In fixed effect models, U.S: pooled OR =1.45, 95%CI: 1.34-1.57; China: pooled OR =4.67, 95%CI: 3.08-7.07; Cuba: pooled OR =1.43, 95%CI: 1.00-2.04; Italy: pooled OR =0.61, 95%CI: 0.13-2.90. In random effects model, U.S: pooled OR=1.50, 95%CI: 1.25-1.80; China: pooled OR =4.67, 95%CI: 3.08-7.07; Cuba: pooled OR =1.43, 95%CI: 1.00-2.04; Italy: pooled OR =0.61, 95%CI: 0.13-2.90. CONCLUSIONS: the present meta-analysis provides the statistical evidence that the association between prostatitis and prostate cancer is significant.

Under the historical background of increasingly close international exchanges, the international education trend becomes increasingly apparent. The doctoral students’ education is the highest part of the higher education. The improvement of the doctoral students’ ability to use English for academic research is increasingly important. Taking full English course of the doctoral students in the School of Control Science and Engineering of Tongji University as example, this paper explores the research and application of full English teaching mode, in order to provide reference for further research in this field.

Abstract Background Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are thought to be capable of surviving conventional chemotherapeutic treatments because the cells have more resistant to anticancer drugs than common cancer cells. Most in vitro studies in experimental cancer cells have been done in a two-dimensional (2D) monocultures, while accumulating evidence suggests that cancer cells behave differently when they are grown within a three-dimensional (3D) culture system. Results The CD44+CD117+cells isolated from human epithelial ovarian cancer SKOV-3 cell line using magnetic-activated cell sorting were found to grow faster than the SKOV-3 cells in the 3D culture and in the nude mice. Anticancer drugs 5FU, docetaxel, cisplatin, and carboplatin were seen to inhibit growth of the CD44+CD117+ cells by 50% in the 2D culture with IC50 concentration, whereas, in the 3D culture, the four drugs inhibited the cell growth by only 34.4%, 40.8%, 34.8% and 21.9% at 3D one, respectively. Effect of paclitaxel on the CD44+CD117+cell viability indicated that fewer cells underwent apoptosis in 3D culture than that in 2D one. In addition, anticancer drugs markedly increased the expression of ABCG2 and ABCB1 of CD44+CD117+cells in 3D culture. Conclusion Our assay demonstrated that human epithelial ovarian cancer CD44+CD117+cells possessed the properties of CSCs that exhibited more chemoresistance in the 3D culture than that of in 2D one. The 3D culture provides a realistic model for study of the CSC response to anticancer drugs.
