2. Estimation of Playable Piano Fingering by Pitch-difference Fingering Matching Model

Abstract

The existing piano fingering labeling statistical models usually consider the constraints among the fingers and the correlation between fingering and notes, and rarely include the relationship among the notes directly. The limited learned finger-transfer rules often cause that some parts of the fingering cannot be playable in fact. And traditional models often adopt the original notes, which cannot help to explore the mapping nature between the pitches and fingering. Inspired from manual-ly annotation which acquire the fingering knowledge directly from pitch-difference, we proposed a pitch-difference sequence and fingering (PdF) matching model. And to get playable fingering, be-sides learned finger-transfer rules, prior finger-transfer knowledge is especially combined into the model. In order to characterize the playable performance of the model, we also presented a new evaluation index named incapable-performing fingering rate (IFR). Comprehensive experimental re-sults show that compared with the existing state-of-the-art third-order hidden Markov labeling model, the general and the highest matching rate of our model increases by 3% and 1.6% respective-ly, and the fingering for all scores can be playable., Comment: 31 pages,12 figures

Abstract

Among nitride fibers, aluminum nitride (AlN) fibers have been developed for various advanced applications due to their mechanical flexibility, high thermal conductivity, and excellent electrical insulation and chemical stability. This article presents an overview on the recent progress of AlN fibers. The properties of AlN, particularly the thermal conductivity of AlN in polymer matrix composites are introduced. Afterward, two major approaches, carbothermal reduction and nitriding polycrystalline alumina fiber, for the preparation of AlN fibers are discussed. The carbothermal reduction includes electrospinning, solution blow spinning, and chemical vapor deposition. Furthermore, some perspectives on the future directions for the preparation and application of fibrous AlN are highlighted. This review is expected to provide readers with valuable guidance on the preparation of AlN fibers and inspire researchers to explore more potential applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

18. An Innovative and Efficient Approach for Field-Limiting Ring Design of Power Devices Based on Deep Neural Networks

Abstract

The design of device termination is crucial for power devices. In this letter, we present a novel approach for designing termination in Si-based power devices using deep neural networks (DNN), taking the narrowed field-limiting ring (NFLR) as an example. Our proposed method can not only achieve a prediction accuracy of over 97% for breakdown voltage (BV), but also provide the device optimization design scheme automatically and intelligently. We believe that the proposed machine learning technology can significantly reduce the cost and enhance the efficiency of power device design, establishing itself as a promising method for power device design.

24. Earthworm-Inspired Co/Co 3 O 4 /CoF 2 @NSC Nanofibrous Electrocatalyst with Confined Channels for Enhanced ORR/OER Performance.

Abstract

The rational construction of highly active and durable oxygen-reactive electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction/evolution reaction (ORR/OER) plays a critical role in rechargeable metal-air batteries. It is pivotal to achieve optimal utilization of electrocatalytically active sites and valid control of the high specific internal surface area. Inspiration for designing electrocatalysts can come from nature, as it is full of precisely manipulated and highly efficient structures. Herein, inspired by earthworms fertilizing soil, a 3D carbon nanofibrous electrocatalyst with multiple interconnected nanoconfined channels, cobalt-based heterojunction active particles and enriched N, S heteroatoms (Co/Co 3 O 4 /CoF 2 @NSC with confined channels) is rationally designed, showing superior bifunctional electrocatalytic activity in alkaline electrolyte, even outperforming that of benchmark Pt/C-RuO 2 catalyst. This work demonstrates a new method for porous structural regulation, in which the internal confined channels within the nanofibers are controllably formed by the spontaneous migration of cobalt-based nanoparticles under a CO 2 atmosphere. Theoretical analysis reveals that constructing Co/Co 3 O 4 /CoF 2 @NSC electrocatalyst with confined channels can greatly adjust the electron distribution, effectively lower the reaction barrier of inter-mediate and reduce the OER/ORR overpotential.
