The temperature and moisture of the pavement structure can be greatly influenced by the wind speed above pavement surface. The wind speed above pavement surface not only is dominated by the wind speed of atmosphere, but also it is highly related to the landform and buildings around road. However, currently there are no studies about the wind field above pavement surface in consideration of the effect of the landform and buildings. A simulation method, which is combined with geographic information system (GIS), wind data from meteorological observatory and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, is employed to study the effect of the landform and the wind speed of atmosphere on the wind field above pavement surface. Three cases are studied, including an urban road, a coastal road and a mountainous road. Furthermore, the wind field distribution above road surface in different wind directions was studied in our work. Results indicate that the wind field above pavement surface can be greatly affected by the landforms, buildings and wind direction. This simulation method can provide reliable results for the wind field above pavement surface. The maximum relative errors between simulated and measured wind speed can be less than 20% in the analysis of the three cases. It is recommended that the CFD simulation method is a good tool to accurately know the wind field above pavement surface.

This study prepared magnetron-sputtering deposition film on a large-scale curved workpiece with a favorable thickness uniformity using a rectangular target cathode. For a substrate rotation structure with eccentric rotation/revolution composite motion, the geometrical model of the thickness distribution of the coating film on a large substrate was established in combination with the principle of rectangular cathode magnetron sputtering. The integral formula of the film thickness was derived, and various film thickness distribution patterns under different parameters were simulated. According to the present research results, the film thickness distribution can be optimized by adjusting the revolution-to-rotation radius and eccentric ratios. At an eccentric distance of 400 mm and a radius ratio of 2.78, the most favorable uniformity degree of 0.87 was obtained, which was controlled by the motion path of the fixed point on the substrate. The proposed approach helps to obtain large-scale films with favorable uniformity on the substrate.

PurposeBlood flow (BF) of the retinal and choroidal vasculatures can be quantitatively imaged using MRI. This study sought to improve methods of data acquisition and analysis for MRI of layer-specific retinal and choroidal BF and then applied this approach to detect reduced ocular BF in a well-established mouse model of glaucoma from both eyes.MethodsQuantitative BF magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was performed on glaucomatous DBA/2J and normal C57BL/6J mice. Arterial spin labeling MRI was applied to image retinal and choroidal BF using custom-made dual eye coils that could image both eyes during the same scan. Statistics using data from a single eye or two eyes were compared. BF values were calculated using two approaches. The BF rate per quantity of tissue was calculated as commonly done, and the peak BF values of the retinal and choroidal vasculatures were taken. Additionally, the BF rate per retinal surface area was calculated using a new analysis approach to attempt to reduce partial volume and variability by integrating BF over the retinal and choroidal depths.ResultsOcular BF of both eyes could be imaged using the dual coil setup without effecting scan time. The field-of-view (FOV), depth of field, and resolution of conventional microscopes are constrained by each other; therefore, a zoom function is required. Traditional zoom methods lose real-time performance and have limited information throughput, severely limiting their application, especially in three-dimensional dynamic imaging and large-amount or large-size sample scanning. Here, an adaptive multiscale (AMS) imaging mechanism combining the benefits of liquid lenses and multiscale imaging techniques is proposed to realize the functions of fast zooming, wide working distance (WD) range and large FOV on a self-developed AMS microscope. The design principles were revealed. Moreover, a nonuniform-distortion-correction algorithm and a composite patching algorithm were designed to improve image quality. The continuous tunable magnification range of the AMS microscope is from 9× to 18×, with the corresponding FOV diameters and resolution ranging from 2.31 to 0.98 mm and from 161 to 287 line-pairs/mm, respectively. The extended WD range is 0.8 mm and the zoom response time is 38 ms. Experiments demonstrated the advantages of the proposed microscope in pathological sample scanning, thick-sample imaging, microfluidic process monitoring, and the observation of living microorganisms. The proposed microscope is the first step towards zoom multiscale imaging technology and is expected to be applied in life sciences, medical diagnosis, and industrial detection.

A method for modifying the outer cam of sprags is proposed, the calculation method of the force of sprags in the overrunning and the engagement condition is studied, and the influence of different modification curves on the contact performance of sprags is analyzed. The results show that the modification of the outer cam of sprags can reduce the contact stress of the sprag clutch wedge in the overrunning condition without affecting the engagement performance, which is helpful to reduce the overrunning wear of sprags.

AIM: To study microRNAs (miRNAs) and their potential effects in high glucose-induced human retinal pigment epithelial cell damage. METHODS: We screened the GSE52233 miRNA expression dataset for differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs). The target genes of the top 10 DEMs were predicted using miRWalk 2.0 database, followed by function enrichment and protein-protein interaction analysis. miRNA expression was determined in the human retinal pigment epithelial cell line ARPE-19 treated with high glucose (HG) by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Cell proliferation was determined using cell counting kit (CCK)-8 assay. Cell cycle, apoptosis, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels were determined by flow cytometry. The direct interaction between miRNA and targets was validated using dual-luciferase reporter assay. RESULTS: Thirty-nine DEMs were screened, and we predicted 125 miRNA-mRNA pairs for the top 10 DEMs, including 119 target genes of seven DEMs such as miR-346, which was upregulated in diabetic retinopathy (DR). miR-346 target genes were substantially enriched in the regulation of intracellular transport and retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG-I)-like receptor signaling pathway. Expression of three upregulated and downregulated miRNAs were verified by qRT-PCR in HG-treated ARPE-19 cells. Expression of miR-346 was elevated in HG treated ARPE-19 cells in a dose-dependent manner. HG inhibited cell proliferation and induced apoptosis, which were partly reversed by transfecting an miR-346 inhibitor, which even decreased the ROS levels elevated due to HG. Argonaute 2 (AGO2) was a target of miR-346. CONCLUSION: miR-346 is a key miRNA and plays an important role in HG-induced damage in human retinal pigment epithelial cells.

Torpedoes are one of the main threats faced by surface ships and submarines in modern naval warfare. How to defend torpedoes has always been a hot and difficult issue in various countries. This paper analyzes the working principle, technical characteristics, application conditions, advantages and disadvantages of several typical anti torpedo technologies, and on this basis, prospects the development trend of anti-torpedo technology.

The identification of functional midgut receptors for pesticidal proteins produced by Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is critical for deciphering the molecular mechanism of Bt resistance in insects. Reduced expression of the PxABCB1 gene was previously found to be associated with Cry1Ac resistance in the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (L.). To directly validate the potential receptor role of PxABCB1 and its contribution to Bt Cry1Ac toxicity in P. xylostella, we used CRISPR/Cas9 to generate a homozygous knockout ABCB1KO strain with a 5-bp deletion in exon 3 of its gene. The ABCB1KO strain exhibited a 63-fold resistance to Cry1Ac toxin compared to the parental DBM1Ac-S strain. Intriguingly, the ABCB1KO strain also exhibited significant increases in susceptibility to abamectin and emamectin benzoate. No changes in susceptibility to various other Bt Cry proteins or synthetic insecticides were observed. The knockout strain exhibited no significant fitness costs. Overall, our study indicates that PxABCB1 can protect the insect against avermectin insecticides on one hand, while on the other hand it facilitates the toxic effect of the Bt Cry1Ac toxin. The results of this study will help to inform integrated pest management approaches against this destructive pest.

BackgroundSleep disorder can adversely affect human physical and mental health， with important implications for socioeconomic development. And higher vocational college students are subject to various pressures and stimuli exerted by academic studies， job seeking and family socioeconomic status， which may contribute to the onset insomnia symptom or sleep disorder.ObjectiveTo discuss the sleep status and influencing factors among higher vocational college students， and to provide references for improving their sleep status.MethodsIn January and February， 2022， a stratified random sampling method was utilized to enroll 3 300 students from five higher vocational colleges in Wenjiang district of Chengdu city. All the participants were assessed using Insomnia Severity Index （ISI）， Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Scale-9 item （PHQ-9） and Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale-7 （GAD-7）. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to test the correlation of ISI with PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores， and the Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the influencing factors of insomnia symptom in higher vocational college students.ResultInsomnia symptom was detected in 81.90% （2 497 / 3 300） of higher vocational college students. The detection rate of insomnia symptom among vocational college students yielded statistical difference in terms of gender， family socioeconomic status， being an only child or having siblings， degree of psychological pressure exerted by academic studies or job seeking， amount of hours spent on Internet per day， frequency of physical exercise， and the presence or absence of anxiety symptom and depression symptom （χ2=21.032， 22.172， 8.983， 75.939， 36.781， 32.350， 54.512， 86.561， P7 h on Internet per day， inadequate physical exercise and presence of depressive symptom are the risk factors for insomnia symptom in higher vocational college students.［Funded by Sichuan Provincial Primary Health Development Research Center in 2022， North Sichuan Medical College （number， SWFZ22-C-89）］

Innovation is the first driving force leading economic development, and small and medium-sized enterprises have strategic significance in stimulating innovation activity and promoting economic growth. Few studies concentrating on small and medium-sized businesses examine the connection between executive incentive contracts and business innovation. Therefore, we use them as the research object in this study. We empirically analyze the relationship between executive incentive contracts and enterprise innovation using the research sample of small and medium-sized board-listed companies from 2009 to 2020, focusing on long-term equity and short-term pay incentives. The study also analyzes if the corporate environment will impact a specific motivational system. The results show that improving executive shareholding and pay level can significantly promote enterprise innovation. The areas with better business environments mean practical innovation. Otherwise, organizational equity and pay incentives positively affect innovation in non-state-owned enterprises. This effect might increase the business environment compared to state-owned enterprises. Meanwhile, information transparency is improved by equity incentives and pay incentives, and the implementation intensity of equity incentives reduces the degree of financialization. By demonstrating how CEO equity and pay incentives affect corporate innovation, this study adds to the body of literature in that field. It also offers empirical evidence to assist corporations in creating the most corporate equality and pay incentives. Future studies should continue examining the impact of non-material incentives on enterprise innovation and the relationship between equity and pay incentives.

Many populations of the two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch, have developed high levels of resistance to the pesticide abamectin in China and other countries. This study developed a near-isogenic line to understand better the inheritance, cross-resistance, and fitness costs associated with abamectin resistance in the field population of T. urticae in China. We introduced the trait that confers extremely high abamectin resistance in a field-collected population of T. urticae into a susceptible laboratory strain (IPP-SS) to generate an abamectin-resistant near-isogenic line (NIL-Aba). This process was carried out through multiple backcrossing to IPP-SS and via parthenogenesis and abamectin screening. Compared with IPP-SS, the NIL-Aba strain had a 25 147-fold resistance to abamectin and a high level of cross-resistance to bifenthrin (288.17-fold), an intermediate level to emamectin benzoate (42.57-fold), and low levels to bifenazate, chlorfenapyr, cyflumetofen, cyenopyrafen, and cyetpyrafen with resistance ranging from 3.18- to 9.31-fold. But it had no cross-resistance to profenofos. The resistance to abamectin in NIL-Aba was autosomal, incompletely dominant, and polygenic. Based on two sex life table parameters, no fitness cost was found in NIL-Aba. Establishing the NIL-Aba strain provides a reliable basis for an in-depth study of abamectin resistance in T. urticae. New information on toxicological characteristics and fitness cost should facilitate the management of abamectin resistance in field populations of T. urticae.

AIM: To evaluate the macular microcirculation changes in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR)by optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA), and correlate the risk factors that may affect the macular microcirculation, so as to provide a clinical basis for early screening, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention for DR.METHODS: Retrospective study. A total of 75 patients(75 eyes)with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)who came to the ophthalmology outpatient clinic and ward of Xi'an Central Hospital from May to October 2022 were collected, and the DM patients were further divided into non-DR(NDR)group, non-proliferative DR(NPDR)group and proliferative DR(PDR)group, with 28 eyes, 25 eyes and 22 eyes in each group respectively. OCTA was applied to perform a 3mm×3mm blood flow imaging scan of the macular retina to automatically obtain the vascular density(VD)of the superficial retinal macular foveal, the parafoveal(1～3mm), as well as the macular 3mm×3mm and the area of macular foveal avascular zone(FAZ). Furthermore, the alteration of these parameters in patients with different degrees of DR was analyzed.RESULTS: Compared with the NDR group, the VD of the 3mm×3mm superficial retinal capillary(SCP)in the macular region was decreased in both PDR and NPDR group(all P0.05).CONCLUSION: The microcirculation changes in the macular area of DR patients can be monitored by OCTA, and the systemic condition of DR patients is closely related to their macular microcirculation.

Abstract In this paper, we study the X(3860) production associated with $$J/\psi $$ J / ψ via $$e^{+}e^{-}$$ e + e - annihilation at the next-to-leading-order (NLO) accuracy in $$\alpha _s$$ α s , within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework. With the hypothesis of $$J^{PC}_{X(3860)}=0^{++}$$ J X ( 3860 ) PC = 0 + + , the predictions of $$\sigma _{e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow J/\psi +X(3860)}$$ σ e + e - → J / ψ + X ( 3860 ) agree well with the Belle measurements, whereas the results following the $$2^{++}$$ 2 + + assignment significantly undershoot the data. This is consistent with the Belle’s conclusion that the $$0^{++}$$ 0 + + hypothesis is favored over the $$2^{++}$$ 2 + + hypothesis for X(3860). Despite fitting the data of the total cross section, the NRQCD predictions seem to be incompatible with the measured $$J/\psi $$ J / ψ angular distributions. We simultaneously calculate the cross section of $$e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow J/\psi +X(3940)$$ e + e - → J / ψ + X ( 3940 ) under the assumption of $$J^{PC}_{X(3940)}=0^{-+}$$ J X ( 3940 ) PC = 0 - + , discovering the consistency of the NRQCD predictions with the light-cone results as well as the experiment.
