Background: With the increasing pressures of modern life and work, combined with a growing older population, the incidence of comorbid anxiety and myocardial infarction (MI) is increasing. Anxiety increases the risk of adverse cardiovascular events in patients with MI and significantly affects their quality of life. However, there is an ongoing controversy regarding the pharmacological treatment of anxiety in patients with MI. The concomitant use of commonly prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and antiplatelet medications such as aspirin and clopidogrel may increase the risk of bleeding. Conventional exercise-based rehabilitation therapies have shown limited success in alleviating anxiety symptoms. Fortunately, non-pharmacological therapies based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory, such as acupuncture, massage, and qigong, have demonstrated promising efficacy in treating MI and comorbid anxiety. These therapies have been widely used in community and tertiary hospital settings in China to provide new treatment options for patients with anxiety and MI. However, current studies on non-pharmacological TCM-based therapies have predominantly featured small sample sizes. This study aims to comprehensively analyze and explore the effectiveness and safety of these therapies in treating anxiety in patients with MI. Method: We will systematically search six English and four Chinese databases by employing a pre-defined search strategy and adhering to the unique rules and regulations of each database to identify studies that fulfilled our inclusion criteria, to qualify for inclusion, patients must be diagnosed with both MI and anxiety, and they must have undergone non-pharmacological TCM therapies, such as acupuncture, massage, or qigong, whereas the control group received standard treatments. The primary outcome measure will be alterations in anxiety scores, as assessed using anxiety scales, with secondary outcomes encompassing the evaluations of cardiopulmonary function and quality of life. We will utilize RevMan 5.3 to conduct a meta-analysis of the collected data, and subgroup analyses will be executed based on distinct types of non-pharmacological TCM therapies and outcome measures Results: A narrative summary and quantitative analysis of the existing evidence on the treatment of anxiety patients with MI using non-pharmacological therapies guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. Conclusion: This systematic review will investigate whether non-pharmacological interventions guided by TCM theory are effective and safe for anxiety in patients with MI, and provide evidence-based support for their clinical application. We report an efficient method for the oxidative dehydrogenation of hydrazines and diarylamines in aqueous ethanol using Anderson-type polyoxomolybdate-based iron(III) as a catalyst and hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant. A series of azo compounds and tetraarylhydrazines were obtained in moderate to excellent yields. The reaction conditions and substrate scopes are complementary or superior to those of more established protocols. In addition, the catalyst shows good stability and reusability in water. Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers were stabilized continuously through a series of temperature zones, and the stabilized PAN fibers (SFs) taken out from different zones were irradiated with γ-ray, finally, some of the irradiated SFs were carbonized continuously. Structure changes of the SFs and mechanical properties of the derived carbon fibers were investigated. It is found that γ-ray not only could destroy the nitrile crosslinking bonds and form nitrile groups again in slight SFs, but could make more crosslinked structure including ether crosslinking and carbon-carbon crosslinking in slight and deep SFs, which improved thermal stability of the SFs and tensile strength of the carbon fibers. The irradiation also induced cyclization in short sequence in slight SFs, however, such a cyclization structure didn't significantly improve thermal stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Carbon fibers (CFs) were prepared from polyacrylonitrile fibers pre-irradiated with γ-ray irradiation in air prior to heat treatment and then by continuous stabilization and carbonization. The structural changes of fibers during heat treatment and the mechanical properties of the resultant CFs were investigated using dynamic mechanical analysis, wide-angle X-ray diffraction, small-angle X-ray scattering, and universal testing machine. It is found that not only the stabilization time was shortened with the increasing absorbed doses, but also the preferred orientation of carbon layers in the CFs was increased initially with the increasing absorbed doses and then decreased. Consequently, the tensile strength and Young's modulus of CFs were increased by 13.2 and 2.6 % at an appropriate dose, respectively, in which skin-core structure in CFs was relieved according to SEM images. In order to solve the reactive power and voltage control problem caused by the high proportion of new energy connected to the power grid, this paper takes the minimum voltage deviation, minimum network loss and maximum dynamic reactive power margin of the whole system as the comprehensive optimization objectives and establishes a reactive power and voltage optimization model by considering the reactive power regulation ability of SVC (Static Var Compensator) and new energy units. In view of the continuous and discrete variables in the model, the traditional continuous FPA (Flower Pollination Algorithm) is discretized to form an improved continuous-discrete hybrid FPA, and the tournament selection mechanism is adopted to speed up the convergence. Through the example analysis of the IEEE-39 bus system, the feasibility of the proposed reactive power and voltage optimal control method in the new energy grid is verified. Compared with GA (Genetic Algorithm), the results show that the improved FPA has high optimization accuracy, which is suitable for solving the reactive power and voltage optimization problem of the new energy grid. Gamma ray irradiation on PAN fibers did bring some benefits for the successive stabilization, however, it is still unclear about the structure of crosslinked bonds, effects of atmosphere and chain scission as well as initiation of cyclization. In this work, PAN fiber as well as a PAN solution was irradiated under different atmospheres. The structure of crosslinked bonds, molecular weights and thermal reactivity were analyzed. It is discovered that gamma ray irradiation on PAN brought chains crosslinking and scission as long as cyclization. The large amount of crosslinked bonds were discovered to be –C N–N C–, while oxygen inhibited nitriles crosslinking. The crosslinking structure rather than remained radicals initiated cyclization during thermal treatment, which was broken and reproduced polyimine radicals at higher temperature. The effect of a different stretching stress at different heat treatment temperatures (HTT) on the structure and the mechanical properties of polyacrylonitrile (PAN)- and rayon-based carbon fibers was studied. The tensile strength increases first and then decreases with increasing stretching stress, whereas the Young's modulus of the fibers continuously increases. The behavior of PAN- and rayon-based carbon fibers is similar with increasing stretching stress, but the tensile strength of PAN fiber decreased while that of rayon fiber increased with increasing HTT, what is more, the latter have a considerable lower tensile strength and modulus for equivalent processing conditions. The structure of the fibers was investigated with X-ray diffraction. A continuous change toward a nanostructure with a higher order was observed, which explains the increase in the Young's modulus. For more complex dependence of the tensile strength on the processing conditions, a quantitative model to describe the effect of stretching stress at different HTT on preferred orientation degree and shear modulus is proposed. From the critical stress fracture of carbon fiber analysis, we can understand the different changes of tensile strength of both type fibers with stretching stress at different HTT. The influence of heat treatment temperature from 1400 to 2840 °C and time from 1.2 to 12.0 min on the structure and mechanical properties of polyacrylonitrile carbon fibers was studied. It was observed that the Young’s modulus increased with increasing temperature and time, but the tensile strength exhibited different variation trends with the different processing methods. For a fixed time of 1.2 min, the strength dropped from 4.6 GPa at 1400 °C to 2.6 GPa at 2840 °C, (~43.5 %) as opposed to a 63.9 % increase in Young’s modulus. However, when the treatment time was increased to 6.0 min at 2500 °C, the tensile strength decreased only by 1.9 %, from 3.71 to 3.64 GPa, versus a nearly 20.0 % increase in Young’s modulus. The same situation was found for treatment at 2000 and 2700 °C. Raman spectroscopy and uniform stress model analysis show that the degree of covalent cross-linking between the graphene planes decreased as temperature increased, while it remained almost constant as treatment time was increased. It is believed that during heat treatment of a carbon fiber, the cross-linking collapses at the beginning but the crystalline size keeps growing with prolonging time, so the tensile strength decreases little with further heat treatment while tensile modulus keeps increasing. Diabetic cardiomyopathy is a chronic cardiovascular complication caused by diabetes that is characterized by changes in myocardial structure and function, ultimately leading to heart failure and even death. Mitochondria serve as the provider of energy to cardiomyocytes, and mitochondrial dysfunction plays a central role in the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy. In response to a series of pathological changes caused by mitochondrial dysfunction, the mitochondrial quality control system is activated. The mitochondrial quality control system (including mitochondrial biogenesis, fusion and fission, and mitophagy) is core to maintaining the normal structure of mitochondria and performing their normal physiological functions. However, mitochondrial quality control is abnormal in diabetic cardiomyopathy, resulting in insufficient mitochondrial fusion and excessive fission within the cardiomyocyte, and fragmented mitochondria are not phagocytosed in a timely manner, accumulating within the cardiomyocyte resulting in cardiomyocyte injury. Currently, there is no specific therapy or prevention for diabetic cardiomyopathy, and glycemic control remains the mainstay. In this review, we first elucidate the pathogenesis of diabetic cardiomyopathy and explore the link between pathological mitochondrial quality control and the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy. Then, we summarize how clinically used hypoglycemic agents (including sodium-glucose cotransport protein 2 inhibitions, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors, thiazolidinediones, metformin, and α-glucosidase inhibitors) exert cardioprotective effects to treat and prevent diabetic cardiomyopathy by targeting the mitochondrial quality control system. In addition, the mechanisms of complementary alternative therapies, such as active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine, exercise, and lifestyle, targeting mitochondrial quality control for the treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy are also added, which lays the foundation for the excavation of new diabetic cardioprotective drugs. The pathophysiological mechanisms of diabetic cardiomyopathy have been extensively studied, but there is still a lack of effective prevention and treatment methods. The ability of flavonoids to protect the heart from diabetic cardiomyopathy has been extensively described. In recent years, epigenetics has received increasing attention from scholars in exploring the etiology and treatment of diabetes and its complications. DNA methylation, histone modifications and non-coding RNAs play key functions in the development, maintenance and progression of diabetic cardiomyopathy. Hence, prevention or reversal of the epigenetic alterations that have occurred during the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy may alleviate the personal and social burden of the disease. Flavonoids can be used as natural epigenetic modulators in alternative therapies for diabetic cardiomyopathy. In this review, we discuss the epigenetic effects of different flavonoid subtypes in diabetic cardiomyopathy and summarize the evidence from preclinical and clinical studies that already exist. However, limited research is available on the potential beneficial effects of flavonoids on the epigenetics of diabetic cardiomyopathy. In the future, clinical trials in which different flavonoids exert their antidiabetic and cardioprotective effects through various epigenetic mechanisms should be further explored. Abstract: The influence of gamma-irradiation on the structure and mechanical properties of polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers was studied. It was observed that the Young’s modulus of the fibers irradiated increased with irradiation dose, increasing to 267GPa at 300kGy, a 16.1% improvement compared to that of as-received carbon fiber. However, the tensile strength increased to 5.4GPa at 30kGy, i.e., a 17.4% increase, and then dropped to 4.65GPa at 300kGy, which is almost the same as for the untreated fiber. Uniform stress model analysis and Raman spectroscopy show that the degree of covalent cross-linking between the graphene planes increased to a maximum at 30kGy and then remained almost constant with further irradiation. The SEM images show that the degree of surface roughness increased with the increasing irradiation dose. It is believed that when the dose is less than 30kGy, the increased cross-linking is the dominant effect, and thus improves the tensile strength. On the other hand, further irradiation generates surface flaws, which neutralizes the increase and results in a decrease of tensile strength. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
