Abstract

In order to find corrosion and other defects of downhole tubing as early as possible in oil and gas production，and to ensure safe and efficient production of oil and gas，the article gave an overview of existing downhole corrosion inspection techniques and monitoring techniques for oil and gas wells both domestically and internationally.The application of the above techniques in domestic oil and gas fields were analyzed，and the prospects for the development of related techniques were putted forward.Furthermore，it was considered that improving the reliability and adaptability of the technology and equipment and achieving online monitoring and real-time monitoring were very important directions of researches.

Abstract

In this paper, the electronic structures of rare earth (Nd, Er)-doped MgO were investigated using density functional theory (DFT), with Hubbard on-site corrections (Ueff) applied to rare earth elements. Li was considered a co-dopant. Defect complexes were involved, instead of a single dopant atom, in the supercell. The splitting and distribution of the 4f ground states of Nd and Er dopants in the band gap changed by co-doping Li. The calculation results provide insights into the influences of Li on the optical properties of rare-earth-doped MgO. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
