Of these, 33 with complete information were included in the KD-AA group. Patients with KD-AA were significantly older, with higher neutrophil rate, C‐reactive protein, procalcitonin, and alanine transaminase levels and lower hemoglobin, albumin, and serum sodium levels. Additionally, more patients with KD-AA presented with aseptic meningitis and KD shock syndrome than those with KD alone (all p< 0.05). The two groups did not differ in the incidence of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) resistance, incomplete KD, or coronary artery abnormalities. All patients received aspirin and IVIG therapy, with nine receiving a second dose of IVIG and 11 receiving corticosteroids. Only two patients with KD-AA underwent surgery, and the prognosis of all patients with KD-AA was good.Conclusion: KD-AA should be suspected in febrile children with abdominal symptoms. Prompt diagnosis of KD-AA is important for early effective treatment to avoid unnecessary surgical harm. In this report, the synthesis of water-soluble silver nanoparticles was developed by treating silver ions with Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. extract at room temperature. The effect of the extract on the formation of silver nanoparticles was characterized by ultraviolet and visible absorption spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The ultraviolet and visible absorption spectroscopy results show a strong resonance centered on the surface of silver nanoparticles (AgNP) at 430 nm. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy spectral study demonstrates Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. extract acted as the reducing and stabilizing agent during the synthesis. The X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the synthesized AgNP are single crystallines, corresponding with the result of transmission electron microscopy. Water-soluble AgNP, with an approximate size of 20 nm–50 nm were also observed in the transmission electron microscopy image. The bactericidal properties of the synthesized AgNP were investigated using the agar-dilution method and the growth-inhibition test. The results show the AgNP had potent bactericidal activity on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, as well as a strong antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria, as compared to gram-positive bacteria with a dose-dependent effect, thus providing a clinical ultrasound gel with bactericidal property for prevention of cross infections.Keywords: silver nanoparticles, green synthesis, Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat., bactericidal activity, ultrasound gel

Objective: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women worldwide, and over 85% of cervical cancers occur in developing countries such as China. Lack of resources for nationwide cervical cancer screening in China makes vaccination against oncogenic strains of HPV particularly important. Knowledge of age at sexual debut and sexual behavior is essential prior to implementation of a national vaccination program.Methods and Materials: A cross-sectional epidemiologic survey was conducted across 21 urban and rural sites in China to assess age at sexual debut and sexual behavior. 98.6% of the 11,852 recruited women aged 15-59 years were included in the analysis. Data were collected using a short, nurse-administered questionnaire and analyzed using standard descriptive statistics and survival analysis.Results: In urban areas, more than ten percent of the 15-19 year old age group were already sexually active at the time of interview; this number increased to nearly 44% in the 20-24 year old age group. Chinese young women with an occupation were more likely to be sexually active compared to female students of the same age, irrespective of area of residence. The crude median sexual debut age for the youngest age group was 17 years, earlier than the sexual debut age reported by older cohorts. Younger age cohorts had an earlier menarche age than older cohorts and were more likely to have more sexual partners than older women, and more likely to have partners with more than one female partner.Conclusion: There is a trend towards earlier sexual debut and riskier sexual behaviors in younger age groups of Chinese women. These findings suggest that HPV vaccination of women between the ages of 13 and 15 years, before the completion of national compulsory education, is likely to contribute to the prevention of HPV infection and cervical cancer in China. Females with existing high-risk HPV (HR-HPV) infections remain at risk of subsequent multiple or recurrent infections, on which benefit from HPV vaccines was under-reported. We pooled individual-level data from four large-scale, RCTs of AS04-HPV-16/18 vaccine to evaluate efficacy and immunogenicity in females DNA-positive to any HR-HPV types at first vaccination. Females receiving the AS04-HPV-16/18 vaccine in the original RCTs constituted the vaccine group in the present study, while those unvaccinated served as the control group. Vaccine efficacy (VE) against new infections and associated cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 2+ in females DNA-negative to the considered HR-HPV type but positive to any other HR-HPV types, VE against reinfections in females DNA-positive to the considered HR-HPV type but cleared naturally during later follow-up, and levels of anti-HPV-16/18 IgG were assessed. Our final analyses included 5137 females (vaccine group = 2532, control group = 2605). The median follow-up time was 47.88 months (IQR: 45.72-50.04). For the prevention of precancerous lesions related to the non-infected HR-HPV types at baseline, VE against HPV-16/18 related CIN 2+ was 82.70% (95% CI: 63.70-93.00%). For the prevention of reinfections related to the infected HR-HPV types following natural clearance, VE against HPV-16/18 12MPI was non-significant (p > .05), albeit robust immunity persisted for at least 48 months. Females with existing HR-HPV infections at first vaccination still benefit from vaccination in preventing precancers related to the non-infected types at baseline. Background: Verticillium wilt, caused by the fungus Verticillium dahliae, is a soil-borne vascular fungal disease, which has caused great losses to cotton yield and quality worldwide. The strain KRS010 was isolated from the seed of Verticillium wilt-resistant Gossypium hirsutum cultivar "Zhongzhimian No. 2.", Results: The strain KRS010 has a broad-spectrum antifungal activity to various pathogenic fungi as Verticillium dahliae, Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium spp., Colletotrichum spp., and Magnaporthe oryzae, of which the inhibition rate of V. dahliae mycelial growth was 73.97% and 84.39% respectively through confrontation test and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) treatments. The strain was identified as Bacillus altitudinis by phylogenetic analysis based on complete genome sequences, and the strain physio-biochemical characteristics were detected, including growth-promoting ability and active enzymes. Moreover, the control efficiency of KRS010 against Verticillium wilt of cotton was 93.59%. After treatment with KRS010 culture, the biomass of V. dahliae was reduced. The biomass of V. dahliae in the control group (Vd991 alone) was 30.76-folds higher than that in the treatment group (KRS010+Vd991). From a molecular biological aspect, KRS010 could trigger plant immunity by inducing systemic resistance (ISR) activated by salicylic acid (SA) and jasmonic acid (JA) signaling pathways. Its extracellular metabolites and VOCs inhibited the melanin biosynthesis of V. dahliae. In addition, KRS010 had been characterized as the ability to promote plant growth., Conclusions: This study indicated that B. altitudinis KRS010 is a beneficial microbe with a potential for controlling Verticillium wilt of cotton, as well as promoting plant growth., (© 2024. Background: The surgical approach and prognosis for invasive adenocarcinoma (IAC) and minimally invasive adenocarcinoma (MIA) of the lung differ. However, they both manifest as identical ground-glass nodules (GGNs) in computed tomography images, and no effective method exists to discriminate them., Methods: We developed and validated a three-dimensional (3D) deep transfer learning model to discriminate IAC from MIA based on CT images of GGNs. This model uses a 3D medical image pre-training model (MedicalNet) and a fusion model to build a classification network. Transfer learning was utilized for end-to-end predictive modeling of the cohort data of the first center, and the cohort data of the other two centers were used as independent external validation data. This study included 999 lung GGN images of 921 patients pathologically diagnosed with IAC or MIA at three cohort centers., Results: The predictive performance of the model was assessed using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). The model had high diagnostic efficacy for the training and validation groups (accuracy: 89%, sensitivity: 95%, specificity: 84%, and AUC: 95% in the training group; accuracy: 88%, sensitivity: 84%, specificity: 93%, and AUC: 92% in the internal validation group; accuracy: 83%, sensitivity: 83%, specificity: 83%, and AUC: 89% in one external validation group; accuracy: 78%, sensitivity: 80%, specificity: 77%, and AUC: 82% in the other external validation group)., Conclusions: Our 3D deep transfer learning model provides a noninvasive, low-cost, rapid, and reproducible method for preoperative prediction of IAC and MIA in lung cancer patients with GGNs. Objective: To systematically integrate and analyze the breast cancer screening rates among females in China and to estimate the composition of different screening service types. Methods: Based on core literature, relevant official websites, projects/survey reports, and information on breast cancer screening rates of Chinese females were extracted and analyzed, and the screening rates for 40-69 years old and 35-64 years old were standardized and compared using 2010 China's population structure. The literature review method was used to retrieve the journal literature related to the composition of breast cancer screening services types (organized screening, physical examination and opportunistic screening). The number of detected literature and the median sample size of individual screening people of the three screening service types were analyzed, and used them as weights to estimate the composition of screening service types. Results: A total of 6 related national surveys on breast cancer screening rate were identified, including 2 from the National Health Service Surveys (broader definition of "breast screening" in 2013, 2018) and 4 from the chronic disease monitoring system of China CDC (the exact definition of "breast cancer screening" in 2010, 2013 and twice in 2015). The age-standardized analysis indicated that 1-year, 2-year and 3-year breast cancer screening rates in 2015 among females in China aged 40-69 years old were 16.9%, 20.2% and 21.4%, respectively. The ever-breast cancer-screened rates were 21.1% in 2013 and 23.5% in 2015 among females aged 40-69, and the corresponding rates were 23.3% and 25.7%, respectively, among females aged 35-64. When taking the literature published in 2015 for further literature review, 130 articles were included, in which the proportions of numbers of reports on organized screening, physical examination, and opportunistic screening were 71.0%, 23.7%, and 5.3%, respectively. Along with the extracted data on median sample sizes (shown in the main text) by breast cancer screening types, it was estimated that the individual service volume of corresponding screening types accounted for 88.0%, 11.2% and 0.8% among all the screened females in China in 2015. Conclusions: The breast cancer screening rates among females of appropriate age in China in 2015 are higher than those in 2013. The literature review analysis preliminarily suggested that the current breast cancer screening service type in China is mainly organized screening service.

Objective Primary ovarian small cell carcinoma of pulmonary type (SCCOPT) is a rare ovarian tumor with a poor prognosis. The platinum-based chemotherapy is the standard treatment. However, there is little research on the clinical characteristics of SCCOPT and the potential benefits of other treatments due to its low incidence. The study aims to investigate clinicopathological characteristics and treatment of SCCOPT.Methods We summarized the clinical, imaging, laboratorical and pathological characteristics of 37 SCCOPT cases, in which 6 cases were admitted to the Gansu Provincial Hospital from the year of 2008 to 2022 and 31 cases reported in 17 English and 3 Chinese literatures.Results The median age of the studied SCCOPT cases ( n =37) was 56.00 (range, 22-80) years. Almost 80% of them had a stage Ⅲ or Ⅳ tumor. All patients underwent an operation and postoperative chemotherapy. Nevertheless, all cases had a poor prognosis, with a median overall survival time of 12 months. Immunohistochemically, the SCCOPT of all patients showed positive expressions of epithelial markers, such as CD56 and sex-determining region of Y chromosome-related high-mobility-group box 2 (SOX-2), and negative expressions of estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, vimentin, Leu-7, and somatostatin receptor 2. The tumor of above 80% cases expressed synaptophysin. Only a few cases expressed neuron-specific enolase, chromogranin A, and thyroid transcription factor-1. Conclusions SCCOPT had a poor prognosis. SOX-2 could be a biomarker to be used to diagnose SCCOPT.

Objective: To evaluate HPV prevalence and type distribution in Chinese juvenile-onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (JoRRP) patients. Methods: We searched China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang data, China Biology Medicine disc, PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library for studies assessing HPV infection of Chinese JoRRP patients up to 1 October, 2022. Two authors independently performed literature selection, data extraction, and quality assessment. HPV prevalence and HPV type-specific prevalence were pooled using a random effects model after Freeman-Tukey double arcsine transformation. All analyses were performed with R 4.1.3 software. Results: Nineteen publications investigating HPV infection of JoRRP patients were included in the final analyses. Of these, 16 studies reported HPV prevalence with a sample size of 1 528 patients, and 11 studies reported HPV6 prevalence and HPV11 prevalence with a sample size of 611 patients. All studies were graded as medium quality. In Chinese JoRRP patients, the synthesized HPV prevalence was 92.0% (95% CI :86.0%-96.6%, I 2 =87%), HPV6 prevalence was 42.4% (95% CI :34.9%-50.1%, I 2 =61%), and HPV11 prevalence was 72.3% (95% CI :59.0%-83.9%, I 2 =87%). All the pooled prevalence persisted in subgroup analyses stratified by publication year, sample size, and specimen type ( P> 0.05). There was no evidence of publication bias. In Chinese JoRRP patients, HPV16, 18, 31, 33, 52, and 58 prevalence was very low. Conclusions: Our findings suggested high HPV prevalence in Chinese JoRRP patients, and the most common HPV types were HPV6 and HPV11.

Background: Self-sampling HPV test and thermal ablation are effective tools to increase screening coverage and treatment compliance for accelerating cervical cancer elimination. We assessed the cost-effectiveness of their combined strategies to inform accessible, affordable, and acceptable cervical cancer prevention strategies., Methods: We developed a hybrid model to evaluate costs, health outcomes, and incremental cost-effectiveness ratios (ICER) of six screen-and-treat strategies combining HPV testing (self-sampling or physician-sampling), triage modalities (HPV genotyping, colposcopy or none) and thermal ablation, from a societal perspective. A designated initial cohort of 100,000 females born in 2015 was considered. Strategies with an ICER less than the Chinese gross domestic product (GDP) per capita ($10,350) were considered highly cost-effective., Results: Compared with current strategies in China (physician-HPV with genotype or cytology triage), all screen-and-treat strategies are cost-effective and self-HPV without triage is optimal with the most incremental quality-adjusted life-years (QALYs) gained (220 to 440) in rural and urban China. Each screen-and-treat strategy based on self-collected samples is cost-saving compared with current strategies (-$818,430 to -$3540) whereas more costs are incurred using physician-collected samples compared with current physician-HPV with genotype triage (+$20,840 to +$182,840). For screen-and-treat strategies without triage, more costs (+$9404 to +$380,217) would be invested in the screening and treatment of precancerous lesions rather than the cancer treatment compared with the current screening strategies. Notably, however, more than 81.6% of HPV-positive women would be overtreated. If triaged with HPV 7 types or HPV16/18 genotypes, 79.1% or 67.2% (respectively) of HPV-positive women would be overtreated with fewer cancer cases avoided (19 cases or 69 cases)., Conclusions: Screen-and-treat strategy using self-sampling HPV test linked to thermal ablation could be the most cost-effective for cervical cancer prevention in China. Although urine-based human papillomavirus (HPV) detection is promising in cervical cancer screening, it has not yet been well-developed. Women aged 30-65 were invited to participate in the current study to provide one urine and two paired vaginal samples. Urine was detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based HPV test (urine-based HPV test). Two vaginal samples were tested by careHPV and GenPlex® HPV genotyping assay, respectively. Women with vaginal HPV positive were called back for colposcopy and biopsied if clinically indicated. The consistency was 79.0% (κ = 0.563) and 80.5% (κ = 0.605) between the urine-based HPV test, careHPV test, and GenPlex® HPV genotyping assay. Against CIN2 detection, the careHPV test showed 77.4% sensitivity, and 71.0% specificity, while the GenPlex® HPV genotyping assay had a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 58.7%. For urine-based HPV test, the corresponding rates were 96.8% and 58.7%. Moreover, no significant differences were observed between the urine-based HPV test and careHPV test (p = 0.3395) and GenPlex® HPV genotyping assay (p = 0.338). The newly developed urine-based HPV test demonstrated acceptable consistency and comparable clinical performance with referenced HPV tests for vaginal samples. Background: The relationship between arsenic exposure and all-cause mortality and the joint effects of arsenic exposure and smoking have been poorly described in previous studies., Methods: After 27 years of follow-up, a total of 1738 miners were included in the analysis. Different statistical methods were used to explore the relationship between arsenic exposure and smoking and the risk of all-cause mortality and various causes of death., Results: A total of 694 deaths occurred during the 36,199.79 person-years of follow-up. Cancer was the leading cause of death, and arsenic-exposed workers had significantly higher mortality rates for all-cause, cancer, and cerebrovascular disease. All-cause, cancer, cerebrovascular disease, and respiratory disease increased with cumulative arsenic exposure., Conclusions: We demonstrated the negative effects of smoking and arsenic exposure on all-cause mortality. Objective: To address the value of visual inspection where HPV-based screening is not yet available, we evaluated the real-world effectiveness of visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) and with Lugol's iodine (VILI) as a primary screening method for cervical cancer in rural China., Methods: A total of 206 133 women aged 30-59 years received two rounds of VIA/VILI screening for cervical cancer in 2006-2010. Women with positive screening results underwent colposcopy and direct biopsy, and were treated if cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 or worse (CIN2+) was diagnosed. Clinical effectiveness of VIA/VILI was evaluated by process and outcome measures., Results: The VIA/VILI positivity rate, biopsy rate and detection rate of CIN2+ in the second round were significantly lower than in the first round. The 2-year cumulative detection rate of CIN2+ varied from 0.53% to 0.90% among the four cohorts initiated in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. The first round of screening detected 60%-83% of CIN2, 70%-86% of CIN3, and 88%-100% of cervical cancer. Over 92% of CIN2+ were found at the early stage., Conclusion: Multiple rounds of visual inspection with continuous training and quality assurance could act as a temporary substitutional screening method for cervical cancer in resource-restricted settings., (© 2022 International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics.)

Background: Lung cancer screening may provide a "teachable moment" for the smoking cessation and relapse prevention. However, the impact of lung cancer screening on smoking initiation in non-smokers has not been reported., Methods: A baseline smoking behavior survey was conducted in 2000 participants who were screened by low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) from 2014 to 2018. All participants were re-surveyed on their smoking behavior in 2019. Of these, 312 participants were excluded, leaving 1688 participants in the final analysis. The smoking initiation rate in baseline non-smokers, the relapse rate in baseline former smokers, and the abstinence rate in baseline current smokers were calculated, respectively. The associations between screening results, demographic characteristics, and smoking behavior change were analyzed using multivariable logistic regression., Results: From 2014 to 2019, smoking prevalence significantly decreased from 52.6% to 49.1%. The prevalence of smoking initiation, relapse, and abstinence in baseline non-smokers, former, and current smokers was 16.8%, 22.9%, and 23.7%, respectively. The risk of smoking initiation in baseline non-smokers was significantly higher in those with negative screening result (adjusted OR = 2.97, 95% CI: 1.27-6.94). Compared to smokers who only received baseline screening, the chance of smoking abstinence in baseline current smokers was reduced by over 80% in those who attended 5 rounds of screening (adjusted OR = 0.15, 95% CI:0.08-0.27). No significant associations were found between smoking relapse and prior screening frequency, with at least one positive screening result. Age, gender, occupational exposure, income, and smoking pack years were also associated with smoking behavior changes., Conclusions: The overall decreased smoking prevalence indicated an overwhelming effect of "teachable moment" on "license to smoke." Annual gross primary productivity (AGPP) is the basis for grain production and terrestrial carbon sequestration. Mapping regional AGPP from site measurements provides methodological support for analysing AGPP spatiotemporal variations thereby ensures regional food security and mitigates climate change. Based on 641 site-year eddy covariance measuring AGPP from China, we built an AGPP mapping scheme based on its formation and selected the optimal mapping way, which was conducted through analysing the predicting performances of divergent mapping tools, variable combinations, and mapping approaches in predicting observed AGPP variations. The reasonability of the selected optimal scheme was confirmed by assessing the consistency between its generating AGPP and previous products in spatiotemporal variations and total amount. Random forest regression tree explained 85 % of observed AGPP variations, outperforming other machine learning algorithms and classical statistical methods. Variable combinations containing climate, soil, and biological factors showed superior performance to other variable combinations. Mapping AGPP through predicting AGPP per leaf area (PAGPP) explained 86 % of AGPP variations, which was superior to other approaches. The optimal scheme was thus using a random forest regression tree, combining climate, soil, and biological variables, and predicting PAGPP. The optimal scheme generating AGPP of Chinese terrestrial ecosystems decreased from southeast to northwest, which was highly consistent with previous products. The interannual trend and interannual variation of our generating AGPP showed a decreasing trend from east to west and from southeast to northwest, respectively, which was consistent with data-oriented products. The mean total amount of generated AGPP was 7.03 ± 0.45 PgC yr -1 falling into the range of previous works. Considering the consistency between the generated AGPP and previous products, our optimal mapping way was suitable for mapping AGPP from site measurements. Background: To explore the patterns of the exposure-response relationship between arsenic exposure and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality and investigate the effect of cigarette smoking on the association., Methods: Seven thousand seven hundred thirty-five tin miners with at least 10 years of arsenic exposure were enrolled since 1992 and followed up for 27 years. Each individual's air arsenic exposure at workplace was calculated by time weighted average arsenic concentration × exposure months. Detailed information on smoking was collected at baseline, and information on smoking status was collected for five consecutive years from 1992 to 1996. Hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for the risk of CVD were estimated using Cox proportional hazards models., Results: A total of 1,046 CVD deaths occurred in this cohort over 142,287.7 person-years of follow up. We firstly reported that for equal cumulative exposure, participants exposed to higher concentrations over shorter duration had a higher risk of CVD mortality than those exposed to lower concentration over longer duration. The HR and 95% CI were 1.38 (95%CI: 1.03-1.85) in participants exposed to arsenic concentration (45.5-99.5 mg/m 3 ), 1.29 (95%CI: 1.02-1.67) in 99.5-361.0 mg/m 3 . Further, participants with age at first exposure <18 years had a significantly higher risk of morality from CVD, cerebrovascular and heart diseases than those with ≥18 years. Background: This Escherichia coli-produced bivalent HPV 16 and 18 vaccine was well tolerated and effective against HPV 16 and 18 associated high-grade genital lesions and persistent infection in interim analysis of this phase 3 trial. We now report data on long-term efficacy and safety after 66 months of follow-up., Methods: This phase 3, double-blind, randomised, controlled trial was done in five study sites in China. Eligible participants were women aged 18-45 years, with intact cervix and 1-4 lifetime sexual partners. Women who were pregnant or breastfeeding, had chronic disease or immunodeficiency, or had HPV vaccination history were excluded. Women were stratified by age (18-26 and 27-45 years) and randomly (1:1) allocated by software (block randomisation with 12 codes to a block) to receive three doses of the E coli-produced HPV 16 and 18 vaccine or hepatitis E vaccine (control) and followed-up for 66 months. The primary outcomes were high-grade genital lesions and persistent infection (longer than 6 months) associated with HPV 16 or 18 in the per-protocol susceptible population. This trial was registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT01735006., Findings: Between Nov 22, 2012, and April 1, 2013, 8827 women were assessed for eligibility. 1455 women were excluded, and 7372 women were enrolled and randomly assigned to receive the HPV vaccine (n=3689) or control (n=3683). Vaccine efficacy was 100·0% (95% CI 67·2-100·0) against high-grade genital lesions (0 [0%] of 3310 participants in the vaccine group and 13 [0·4%] of 3302 participants in the control group) and 97·3% (89·9-99·7) against persistent infection (2 [0·1%] of 3262 participants in the vaccine group and 73 [2·2%] of 3271 participants in the control group) in the per-protocol population. We aimed to explore the association of combined risk factors with risk of death from upper gastrointestinal (UGI) cancer, including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), gastric cardia carcinoma (GCC) and gastric noncardia carcinoma (GNCC) in the Linxian Nutrition Intervention Trial (NIT) cohort. The NIT cohort included 29 584 healthy adults. A combined risk score (CRS) was calculated using a point system method based on 10 risk factors collected at baseline, including gender, smoking, alcohol drinking, body mass index, family history of UGI cancer, drinking tap water, tooth loss and consumption of fresh fruit, eggs and meat. Possible score ranged from 0 to 31, and higher score indicated as poorer health status. Subjects were divided into three groups by the CRS (<12 points, 12 to 20 points and >20 points). The group of CRS <12 points was considered as the reference. During the 30-year follow-up, we identified 4553 UGI cancer deaths. Compared to subjects with a CRS <12 points, the adjusted HRs for CRS of 12 to 20 points and >20 points were 1.69 (95% CI: 1.56-1.83) and 3.06 (95% CI: 2.82-3.33) for UGI cancer mortality, respectively (P trend  < .001). Comparable associations were also observed for ESCC, GCC and GNCC mortality. Results remained similar across different age groups (P interaction  > .05). All HRs observed in the second half follow-up period were stronger than that observed in the first half follow-up period. Cervical cancer is the commonest cancer affecting women worldwide. During the last decades, the incidence and mortality rates of cervical cancer have increased in China. This research aims to assess the overall and genotype-specific prevalence of the human papillomavirus (HPV) infection among Chinese women with normal cervix, considering age, and geographic location. We selected studies about HPV prevalence in women from Chinese in Mainland China with normal cervix and abnormal cervical lesions, published between January 1995 and December 2020. The HPV prevalence was analyzed using meta-analysis based on the following: cytological and histological diagnoses, regions, and ages. The overall HPV prevalence in 856,535 women was 14.3%, 95% confidence interval (CI) and it increased from 8.2% to 16.5% in studies published from 2006 to 2020. The prevalence of high-risk (HR) and low-risk (LR) HPV types was 11.3% and 2.7%, respectively. The commonest types of HPV in women from Mainland China were HPV 16 (2.6%), 52 (2.4%), 58 (1.7%), 18 (0.9%), and 33 (0.8%). According to the geographical analysis, the prevalence of different HPV genotypes varied by region, Central China had the highest overall HPV prevalence. HPV16 was the commonest type in all the regions except in South China and East China, where HPV52 was found to be common. Regarding diagnosis, the HPV infection led to cervical cancer diagnosis by cytology and histology with 90.1% and 91.5% rates, respectively. HPV16 and HPV18 were common types associated with cervical cancer diagnosed by cytology and histology. HPV 16, 58, 52, 18, and 33 were the commonest types found in women with normal cervixes from Mainland China. Objective: To systematically summarize current status and recommendations of the global cervical cancer and precancerous lesions treatment guidelines. Methods: The retrieval for all the Chinese and English literature published before July 8, 2021 was conducted in PubMed, Embase, SinoMed Database, CNKI and Wanfang Database, supplemented by a search of health websites of countries worldwide, with"uterine cervical neoplasms""cervix cancer""cervical neoplasm""cervical precancerous lesions""treat*""guideline*""practice guideline*""consensus" "recommendation*""guidebook*"in English as well as"cervical precancerous lesions""cervical neoplasm""treatment""guideline*""consensus"in Chinese as search keywords. A total of 38 guidelines were included for data extraction and analysis. Results: Guidelines covered Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Oceania. Conservative observation was recommended for the CIN1 population. For the women with CIN2/CIN3, ablation or excision was recommended according to the specific situation and guidelines of developed countries give priority to the latter. In low and middle resource countries, given the availability of medical resources, ablative treatment was recommended as an alternative to excisional treatment if the women were eligible. For women with adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS), cervical conization or total hysterectomy was recommended depending on the patient's desire of fertility. For patients with cervical cancer, most guidelines recommended surgery for early disease and smaller lesions, otherwise concurrent chemoradiotherapy was usually the main treatment modality for advanced cancers. All guidelines recommended long-term follow-up to monitor disease recurrence after treatment. Follow-up methods included human papillomavirus (HPV) testing and/or cytology or colposcopy. Most guidelines recommended follow-up at 6 or 12 months after treatment for cervical precancerous lesions, and 3~4 months for cervical cancer. Conclusions: There are some differences in the treatment and management recommendations for cervical cancer and precancerous lesions issued by different countries and regions around the world. Based on the global treatment guidelines and medical resource of different regions, the treatment and management guidelines for cervical cancer and precancerous lesions suitable for different regions of China should be developed, so as to achieve effective treatment.

Purpose: To establish and verify the ability of a radiomics prediction model to distinguish invasive adenocarcinoma (IAC) and minimal invasive adenocarcinoma (MIA) presenting as ground-glass nodules (GGNs)., Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 118 lung GGN images and clinical data from 106 patients in our hospital from March 2016 to April 2019. All pathological classifications of lung GGN were confirmed as IAC or MIA by two pathologists. R language software (version 3.5.1) was used for the statistical analysis of the general clinical data. ITK-SNAP (version 3.6) and A.K. software (Analysis Kit, American GE Company) were used to manually outline the regions of interest of lung GGNs and collect three-dimensional radiomics features. Patients were randomly divided into training and verification groups (ratio, 7:3). Random forest combined with hyperparameter tuning was used for feature selection and prediction modeling. The receiver operating characteristic curve and the area under the curve (AUC) were used to evaluate model prediction efficacy. The calibration curve was used to evaluate the calibration effect., Results: There was no significant difference between IAC and MIA in terms of age, gender, smoking history, tumor history, and lung GGN location in both the training and verification groups (P>0.05). For each lung GGN, the collected data included 396 three-dimensional radiomics features in six categories. Based on the training cohort, nine optimal radiomics features in three categories were finally screened out, and a prediction model was established. We found that the training group had a high diagnostic efficacy [accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and AUC of the training group were 0.89 (95%CI, 0.73 - 0.99), 0.98 (95%CI, 0.78 - 1.00), 0.81 (95%CI, 0.59 - 1.00), and 0.97 (95%CI, 0.92-1.00), respectively; those of the validation group were 0.80 (95%CI, 0.58 - 0.93), 0.82 (95%CI, 0.55 - 1.00), 0.78 (95%CI, 0.57 - 1.00), and 0.92 (95%CI, 0.83 - 1.00), respectively]. The world is entering a new era of accelerated elimination of cervical cancer, while the age-standardized incidence, and mortality of cervical cancer in China are rising rapidly. This article summarizes and describes the current situation and trends of the burden of cervical cancer in China, reviews and analyzes the comprehensive prevention practice of cervical cancer, focusing on critical reasons for the increasing burden of cervical cancer, from the perspectives of sociology, behavior, and epidemiology in the population. Countermeasures are proposed to provide guidance and theoretical reference for the precise prevention of cervical cancer to eliminate cervical cancer.

Background: We explored the shape of the exposure-response relationship of arsenic-related lung cancer and the interaction between arsenic and tobacco use., Methods: A total of 3278 tin miners with at least 10 years of arsenic exposure were enrolled since 1992 and followed up for 27 years. After excluding radon-exposed miners and former smokers, 1620 miners were included into the sub-cohort. Lung cancer risks were estimated by modeling total exposure and intensity of arsenic exposure., Results: The cohort experienced 73,866 person-years and 414 lung cancer cases. Firstly, the ERR/mg/m3-year was 0.0033 (95% CI: 0.0014-0.0045) in arsenic concentration <3 mg/m 3 and 0.0056 (95% CI: 0.0035-0.0073) in arsenic concentration ≥3 mg/m 3 . After adjusting for cumulative arsenic exposure, and the ERR/mg/m 3 increased with increasing intensity (0.129 (95% CI: 0.039, 0.189)). Secondly, an unique aspect of this population was the early age at first arsenic exposure for workers. Results showed that lung cancer incidence risk from exposed in childhood (<13 years) was non-significantly greater than those in other age groups (13-17 and ≥ 18 years). Finally, the most likely joint effects of inhaled arsenic and tobacco use was sub-multiplicative., Conclusion: This study enlightened us that for fixed cumulative arsenic exposure, higher concentration over shorter duration might be more deleterious than lower concentration over longer duration. Background: This special cohort reveals the effect of smoking cessation in occupational miners exposed to radon and arsenic., Methods: A total of 9,134 tin miners with at least 10 years of underground radon and arsenic exposure were enrolled beginning in 1992 and followed for up to 27 years. Detailed smoking information was collected at baseline, and information on smoking status was consecutively collected from 1992 to 1996. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to explore the relationship between time since smoking cessation and lung cancer., Results: A total of 1,324 lung cancer cases occurred in this cohort over 167,776 person-years of follow-up. Among populations exposed to radon and arsenic, miners after quitting smoking for 10 years or more had almost halved their lung cancer risk [adjusted hazard ratio (HR) = 0.55, 95% CI: 0.38-0.79], compared with current smokers. Background: Occupational radon cohorts provide important information about exposure at residential level, which are difficult to observe prospectively. However, evidence about radon-related lung cancer risks from initial exposure in childhood or interaction between radon and smoking is still limited., Methods: A total of 6017 tin miners with at least 10 years of underground radon exposure were enrolled beginning in 1992 and followed for up to 27 years. Lung cancer risks were estimated by modeling total and intensity of radon exposure., Results: A total of 933 lung cancer cases occurred in this cohort over 89,092 person-years of follow up. Excess relative risk increased by 0.96% per cumulative working level month (WLM). A unique aspect of this population was the early age at first radon exposure for workers. Results showed that lung cancer risk from initial radon exposure in childhood (<13 years old) was greater than risk when first exposure occurred at later ages (13-17, 18-24, and ≥ 25 years old). Moreover, risk declined with years since last exposure and attained age, but increased with age at last exposure. Importantly, these patterns were stable after adjustment for tobacco use or arsenic exposure. For joint effects of radon and other agents, our results support sub-multiplicative as the most likely model for interaction between radon and tobacco use or arsenic exposure., Conclusion: This study highlights the possible importance of radon exposure in childhood in cancer etiology and suggests another potential strategy to mitigate the global lung cancer burden., (Copyright © 2022 The Authors. Objective: To evaluate the performance of point-of-care testing for cervical cancer and precancerous lesions screening. Methods: In September 2020, 197 and 273 women were selected by using simple random sampling method from "self-sampling" cohort and "physician-sampling" cohort established in Xiangyuan county, Shanxi Province, China, respectively. Cervical exfoliated cells were collected by women themselves or gynecologists. All samples were detected by POCT and women with positive result were directly referred for colposcopy. Subsequently, all the samples were detected by care HPV and PCR test. Colposcopy and punch biopsy were performed for women with POCT negative but care HPV or PCR test positive at another visit. Using histopathological diagnosis as the gold standard, we calculated sensitivity, specificity and drew the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. The accuracy of POCT was analyzed and compared to that of care HPV and conventional PCR test in cervical cancer and precancerous lesions screening. Results: The median ( Q 1 , Q 3 ) age of 470 women was 51 (45, 57) years old. Based on self-sampling, the sensitivity and specificity of POCT for CIN2+ were 100.00% (95% CI : 56.56%-100.00%) and 28.95% (95% CI : 22.97%-35.76%), respectively. Compared with POCT, POCT HPV16/18 test had similar sensitivity and higher specificity of 89.47% (95% CI : 84.30%-93.08%). Self-sampling POCT HPV16/18 test had an AUC of 0.947 (95% CI :0.910-0.985), which was higher than that of care HPV and PCR test. Physician-sampling POCT test had 100.00% sensitivity (95% CI : 64.57%-100.00%) and 55.85% specificity (95% CI : 49.83%-61.70%) for detecting CIN2+. POCT HPV16/18 test had lower sensitivity (71.43%, 95% CI : 35.90%-91.76%) and higher specificity (92.45%, 95% CI : 88.63%-95.06%). POCT HPV16/18 test generally showed similar AUC on both self-collected samples and clinician-collected samples (0.947 vs 0.819, P =0.217). Conclusion: POCT HPV16/18 test is an effective method with relatively high sensitivity and specificity for cervical cancer screening.

In this article, we present a multicenter aortic vessel tree database collection, containing 56 aortas and their branches. The datasets have been acquired with computed tomography angiography (CTA) scans and each scan covers the ascending aorta, the aortic arch and its branches into the head/neck area, the thoracic aorta, the abdominal aorta and the lower abdominal aorta with the iliac arteries branching into the legs. For each scan, the collection provides a semi-automatically generated segmentation mask of the aortic vessel tree (ground truth). The scans come from three different collections and various hospitals, having various resolutions, which enables studying the geometry/shape variabilities of human aortas and its branches from different geographic locations. Furthermore, creating a robust statistical model of the shape of human aortic vessel trees, which can be used for various tasks such as the development of fully-automatic segmentation algorithms for new, unseen aortic vessel tree cases, e.g. by training deep learning-based approaches. Objective: To compare the acceptance of urine self-sampling, vaginal self-sampling and physician sampling in cervical cancer screening. Methods: Questionnaire surveys were conducted in women attending cervical cancer screening in Xiangyuan County and Yangcheng County in Shanxi Province from July to November 2015 and from October to December 2018. Both surveys included the following three parts: feelings and acceptance of women in urine self-sampling, vaginal self-sampling and physician sampling, and the ease evaluation of two self-samplings. Results: There were 3 485 questionnaires were collected finally. The proportions of women felt embarrassed in urine self-sampling, vaginal self-sampling and physician sampling were 2.3% (81/3 472), 7.1% (247/3 472) and 8.6% (299/3 472), and 1.3% (46/3 472), 9.7%(3 37/3 472) and 14.9% (518/3 472) of women felt uncomfortable, and 1.0% (35/3 469), 8.5% (295/3 469) and 15.3% (531/3 469) felt pain, and 98.3% (3 334/3 393), 96.3% (3 267/3 393) and 99.0% (3 360/3 393) thought that the sampling were conducted properly ( P <0.05). Based on the feeling during sample collection, 61.2% (1 876/3 064), 39.1% (1 199/3 064) and 66.5% (2 037/3 064) women were willing to use the corresponded sampling methods in cervical cancer screening, respectively ( P <0.05). If the accuracy was the same, there were 31.8% (1 109/3 485) women preferred self-sampling and 68.2% (2 376/3 485) preferred physician sampling for cervical cancer screening. Meanwhile, 23.5% (820/3 482) preferred vaginal self-sampling in comparison with 76.5% (2 662/3 482) for urine self-sampling in cervical cancer screening. 86.5% (3 007/3 478) of the women thought urine self-sampling was very easy, comparing 40.9% (1 423/3 478) for vaginal self-sampling. Conclusions: The bad feeling of women during urine self-sampling is less common and less serious than those during physician sampling and vaginal self-sampling, and the acceptance for physician sampling is highest, following by urine self-sampling and vaginal self-sampling. Urine self-sampling is much easier than vaginal self-sampling.

Cervical cancer can be eliminated through primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. Yet it remains one of the gravest threats to women's lives worldwide. In November 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially launched the global strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer, and underlined that screening and treatment for cervical pre-cancer lesions are two of three key measures for the elimination. In July 2021, WHO issued the second edition of"WHO guideline for screening and treatment of cervical pre-cancer lesions for cervical cancer prevention"to provide important guidance to countries to support them in achieving the target of cervical cancer elimination in all women. This article will interpret the methods for the guideline development, the recommendations/good practice statements on screening and treatment to prevent cervical cancer (including the age to start/stop screening, screening methods, screening interval, the management of screen-positive women and treatment of the precancerous lesions, etc.) and its impact globally, providing reference for the updates of guideline and policy making on cervical cancer prevention and control in China.

Background: Cervical cancer screening with cytology suffers from low sensitivity, whereas the efficiency of human papillomavirus (HPV)-based screening is limited by low specificity. The authors evaluated a novel p16 INK4a immunocytology approach in cervical cancer screening compared with HPV-based and cytology-based screening., Methods: In total, 2112 women aged 49 to 69 years from Shanxi, China were screened from March to July 2019. HPV testing, liquid-based cytology (LBC), and p16 INK4a immunocytology were performed on samples from all women. Any positive result triggered a referral to colposcopy with biopsy, if indicated. Screening performance for detecting cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 and 3 or worse (CIN2+/CIN3+) was evaluated using multiple algorithms., Results: p16 INK4a had a lower positive rate (10.0%) than LBC abnormality (vs 12.1%; P = .004) and a high-risk HPV positivity (21.4%; P < .001). For the detection of CIN3+, the relative sensitivity of p16 INK4a compared with HPV and LBC was 0.93 (95% CI, 0.82-1.07) and 1.12 (95% CI, 0.95-1.32), respectively. The specificity of p16 INK4a was significantly higher than that for HPV and LBC, with a relative specificity of 1.13 (95% CI, 1.11-1.16) and 1.02 (95% CI, 1.01-1.04), respectively. In addition, p16 INK4a alone yielded a clinical performance very similar to that of the current mainstream strategy of using HPV16/18 with reflex cytology (ASC-US+, atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance or worse). The immediate risk of CIN3+ was 14.6% if p16 INK4a results were positive and 0.2% if p16 INK4a results were negative., Conclusions: With minimal colposcopy referrals, p16 INK4a screening demonstrated promising utility for risk stratification and yielded a better balance between sensitivity and specificity compared with HPV and LBC primary screening. Moreover, with accuracy and efficiency similar to what is achieved using mainstream cotest algorithms, p16 may simplify the screening practice. Momordica cochinchinensis (Lour.) Spreng is an indigenous South Asian edible fruit, and seeds of Momordica cochinchinensis have been used therapeutically in traditional Chinese medicine. Previous studies have shown that M. cochinchinensis seed (Momordicae Semen) has various pharmaceutical properties such as antioxidant and anti-ulcer effects as well as contains secondary metabolites with potential anticancer activities such as triterpenoids and saponins. Recent studies reported that water extract and ethanol extract of M. cochinchinensi seed were tested on mammals using an acute toxic classic method as OECD guidelines 420. No matter injected intravenously or intramuscularly, animals died within several days. In this study, zebrafish embryos were exposed to various doses of Cochinchina momordica seed extract (CMSE) from 2 dpf (days post fertilization, dpf) to 3 dpf. CMSE-induced cardiotoxicity such as pericardial edema, cardiac apoptosis, increased ROS production, cardiac neutrophil infiltration, decreased blood flow velocity, and reduced expression of three marker genes of cardiac functions were found in zebrafish roughly in a dose-dependent manner. Objective: To explore the annual probabilities of outcomes for different cervical disease states. Methods: Cohort studies related to the natural history of cervical cancer were retrieved from PubMed, Embase and China Biomedical Literature Database, and the retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to May 2020. Newcastle-Ottawa scale was used to evaluate the quality of the included literatures. The annual outcome probabilities of different cervical disease states in high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) positive, negative and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 1 (CIN1) population were calculated (95% CI ). Random-effects model was used for meta-analysis. Egger's test was used to evaluate publication bias; sensitivity analysis was used to evaluate the robustness of the combined parameters. Meta-regression was used to explore factors associated with the heterogeneity of annual outcome probability. Results: A total of 37 studies were included, including 12, 20 and 15 studies involving hrHPV negative, hrHPV positive and CIN1 population, respectively, with a Newcastle -Ottawa scale (NOS) score of 7.05±1.20. The annual probability (95% CI ) of progression to CIN1, CIN2 and CIN3+ in hrHPV-positive population were 0.022 2 (0.014 3, 0.031 0), 0.017 0 (0.012 0, 0.022 0) and 0.016 2 (0.012 6, 0.019 8), respectively. The annual probability (95% CI ) of progression to CIN1, CIN2 and CIN3+ in hrHPV-negative population was 0.002 7 (0.000 9, 0.004 6), 0.000 7 (0.000 3, 0.001 1) and 0.000 6 (0.000 3, 0.000 9), respectively. The annual probability (95% CI ) of reversal to normal, maintenance of CIN1 status and progression to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 or above (CIN2+) in CIN1 population were 0.578 1 (0.369 9, 0.786 3), 0.400 1 (0.167 4, 0.632 9), 0.056 9 (0.034 9, 0.078 9), respectively. Egger's test showed that there was publication bias in the annual outcome probability of hrHPV positive progression to CIN2 and CIN3+ and hrHPV negative progression to CIN2 and CIN1 progression to CIN2+, with t values of 5.50, 2.36, 2.80 and 4.12, respectively (all P values<0.05). Sensitivity analysis showed that when excluding any of the studies, the range of annual probability of progression to CIN1, CIN2 and CIN3+ were 0.016 6-0.024 7, 0.014 9-0.018 9 and 0.013 6-0.017 7 among hrHPV-positive population; 0.002 4-0.003 5, 0.000 6-0.000 9 and 0.000 5-0.000 7 among hrHPV-negative population and the range of annual probability of CIN1 reversal to normal, maintenance as CIN1 and progression to CIN2+ were 0.531 8-0.631 2, 0.321 9-0.443 3, and 0.052 0-0.061 0, respectively. Meta-regression analysis showed that region, population origin, population cytological diagnosis, follow-up time, and NOS score were not associated with the heterogeneity of annual outcome probability (all P values>0.05). Conclusion: The annual outcome probability of different cervical disease states in hrHPV positive population is high, and the CIN1 population only needs close follow-up.

Objective: To systematically summarize the development of global human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination guidelines . Methods: The retrieval for all the Chinese and English literature published before August 2020 was conducted in PubMed, Embase and China Biomedical Literature Database, with "papillomavirus vaccines" "wart virus vaccine" "guideline" "practice guideline" "health planning guidelines" "guidelines as topic" "practice guidelines as topic" "immunization programs" in English as well as "papillomavirus vaccines" "HPV vaccine" "guideline" "recommendation" "consensus" in Chinese as search keywords. A total of 18 guidelines were included for data extraction and analysis . Results: The 18 pieces of guidelines included 1 pieces of World Health Organization (WHO) position paper, 6 pieces of guidelines at national or provincial level and other 11 pieces of by academic institutions. In national or provincial guidelines, the recommendation for routine vaccination mainly focused on 11-13 year-old adolescents and the recommendation for catch-up vaccination extends to 17-26 years old. Recommendation of guidelines by academic institutions were similar to the WHO position paper: girls aged 9-14 as the primary target for the routine vaccination; females aged 15-26 years old as the secondary target populations when it's feasible, affordable and cost-effective; women aged over 26 could be vaccinated at an individual level. There were only three guidelines simultaneously updated with the national immunization programme and covered four aspects: the vaccinated population (girls-only to gender-neutral vaccination), the periodic catch-up immunization, the dose schedule updates and the change of vaccine types. Conclusions: It's recommended that the development of Chinese HPV vaccination guidelines refer to global guidelines and updates and take full consideration of the epidemiological evidence, resources and current status of the immunization system in China.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of thermal ablation in the treatment of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) in Chinese women. Methods: The high-risk HPV-positive women aged 20-65 who were detected through a cervical cancer screening project implemented in three rural sites (Etuoke counties in Inner Mongolia, Xiangyuan and Yangcheng counties in Shanxi Province) and one urban site (Shenzhen) in China were included in this prospective study. Follow up evaluation was performed on HPV positive women who underwent thermal ablation ( n =166) as well as received no treatment ( n =2 716) in cervical cancer screening program. For women with thermal ablation treatment, HPV test and cytology were used for follow-up with the interval of 6 months or longer after treatment. For women without treatment, HPV test was used for annual follow-up. Women with positive results in either of the HPV tests or abnormal cytology were referred for a colposcopy or biopsy if necessary. The HPV clearance rate and the cure rate of CIN were compared between the two groups. Results: A total of 152 women treated with thermal ablation and 2 539 women without treatment reported for follow-up evaluation with the age M ( Q 1 , Q 3 ) of 42 (36, 48) and 47 (41, 54) years old, and the median time to follow-up time of 23.4 (12.4, 24.5) and 23.5 (12.4, 24.0)months, respectively. The HPV clearance rate in women undergoing thermal ablation was significantly higher than that in women with no treatment (73.0% vs 46.1%, P <0.001). The HPV16, HPV52 and HPV58 clearance rates among women receiving thermal ablation were higher than that in women without treatment with the OR (95% CI ) of 2.8 (1.3-6.1), 3.2 (1.3-7.9) and 5.8 (2.1-15.6). For women with histologically confirmed CIN at baseline, cure rates were 77.4%( n =72) for thermal ablation. Cure rates of the thermal ablation were 81.0%( n =47) for CIN grade one (CIN1) and 71.4% ( n =25) for CIN grade two or worse (CIN2+). Conclusions: Thermal ablation is effective to clear the HPV infection as well as to treat CIN. Particularly for the HPV genotypes with the paramount attributable proportion to cervical cancer and precancerous in China, the HPV clearance rate was significantly higher than that reported in the women without treatment.

Objective: To systematically summarize and evaluate the current cervical cancer screening guidelines worldwide. Methods: "Cervical cancer/cervical intraepithelial neoplasia", "screening", and "guidelines/recommendations" were searched as keywords in PubMed, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data for cervical cancer screening guidelines. The language was limited to Chinese and English. A total of 29 guidelines were included before September 1, 2020. The basic information and recommendations of the guidelines issued were summarized. Results: Among the 29 cervical cancer screening guidelines, most guidelines targeted on the population aged 25-65 years. Cytology and human papillomavirus (HPV) testing are two commonly used methods for the cervical cancer screening, and HPV testing is increasingly recommended as the primary screening methods. Most guidelines recommended five years interval for the HPV testing-based screening or co-testing (HPV testing and cytology) based screening and three years for the cytology-based. For managing population with abnormal cervical cancer screening, triage or screening repeatedly to identify high-risk populations were more recommended. Direct colposcopy or treatment were allowed for women with higher risk of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) during the screening procedure. Several guidelines involving HPV vaccination population recommended them the same strategy as the general population without vaccination. Conclusion: Currently, most of the cervical cancer screening guidelines applied to the population with the average risk of the CINs and were issued by the developed countries. Primary methods for the cervical cancer screening have gradually changed from the cytology to the HPV testing. There is a lack of recommendations targeting special population on cervical cancer screening in the current guidelines.

Cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor that seriously threatens the health of Chinese women. The situation of prevention and control is still serious. In the past decade, the Chinese government has made great efforts to cervical cancer prevention and control and achieved remarkably in HPV vaccine development, sound health screening system, and treatment capacity of early cervical cancer and precancerous lesions. However, due to the large population base, unequal allocation of health resources, and uneven service quality across regions, there is still a significant gap to achieve the WHO's goal of eliminating cervical cancer by 2030. In order to fulfill the Global Strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer, China urgently needs to learn from the international experience, combined with the real situation of cervical cancer prevention and control and the latest research progress in China and to put forward appropriate action recommendations and implementation approaches, which will contribute to promote the cervical cancer elimination process and to build a paradigm for "Healthy China" cancer prevention.

Thermal ablation is a point-of-care ablative treatment technique for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). However, limited information is available about its efficacy in low- and middle-income countries. We evaluated the efficacy of thermal ablation in treatment of CIN detected through high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) screening in China. Women positive on high-risk HPV and having colposcopically suspected lesions eligible for ablation underwent colposcopy, biopsy and thermal ablation in one visit. Women ineligible were recalled for large loop excision of transformation zone (LLETZ) when histopathology results were high-grade CIN. Posttreatment follow-up at 6 months or more was with HPV test and cytology followed by colposcopy and biopsy for HPV and/or cytology-positive women. Cure was defined as either negative cytology and HPV test or absence of histopathology proved CIN in any positive women. Of total 218 HPV-positive women treated with thermal ablation (n = 170) or LLETZ (n = 48), 196 reported for follow-up evaluation. For women with histologically confirmed CIN at baseline (thermal ablation-104; LLETZ-38), cure rates were 84.6% for thermal ablation and 86.8% for LLETZ. Cure rates after thermal ablation were 90.3% for CIN grade one (CIN1) and 76.2% for CIN grade two or worse (CIN2+). HPV clearance rate was 80.4% in women undergoing thermal ablation, which was lower for HPV16/18 compared to other oncogenic types (67.6% vs 85.7%). HPV test had a negative predictive value (NPV) of 98.7% to detect CIN2+ at follow-up and the positive predictive value (PPV) was 40.4%. Thermal ablation is effective to treat CIN as well as to clear the high-risk HPV infection. The mitochondrial (mt) genome of Eumeta variegata Snellen (Psychidae) has been sequenced and annotated. The mt genome has a total length of 15,793 bp, consisting of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA, two rRNA genes, and an AT-rich control region (GenBank accession no. MN242985). The nucleotide composition was extremely AT-rich, and the AT content is 81.57%. The gene order is consistent with other sequenced mt genome of moths and butterflies from Ditrysia. The sequence similarity of E. variegate mt genomes between the specimen of China and South Korea is 98.38%, whereas the similarity between the specimen of China and Japan is 90.61%.
