AIM: To observe the multimodal imaging characteristics of Best vitelliform macular dystrophy(BVMD).METHODS:The clinical data of 30 patients(60 eyes)diagnosed as BVMD at stage Ⅰ to Ⅳ in Nanjing Medical University Affiliated Eye Hospital from June 2016 to October 2022 were collected for a retrospective analysis, and all patients are binocular involved. All patients underwent best corrected visual acuity(BCVA), slit lamp microscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy, intraocular pressure, fundus photography, spectral-domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT), fundus autofluorescence(FAF), fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA), electro-oculogram(EOG)and optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA).RESULTS: A total of 30 patients(60 eyes)were included, with 8 eyes at stage Ⅰ, 24 eyes at stage Ⅱ, 22 eyes at stage Ⅲ and 6 eyes at stage Ⅵ. Alanine hydrochloride was prepared from alanine, then its derivative was synthesized by amidation. The structure of the synthesized product was characterized by infrared and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance. The corrosion inhibition effect of alanine and alanine derivative on carbon steel at 30 ℃ in 0.5 mol/L sulfuric acid medium was studied by weight loss method, electrochemical method and scanning electron microscope. The results showed that alanine derivative had better corrosion inhibition than alanine due to the hydrophobic alkane long chain. The weight loss method and electrochemistry showed that the corrosion inhibition rate reached more than 90% at the alanine derivative dosage of 300 mg/L. The adsorption of corrosion inhibitor on carbon steel surface conformed to Langmuir adsorption model. Alanine derivative at low mass concentrations(50-100 mg/L) could inhibit the oxidation of anode metal,which was anode corrosion inhibitor. At higher mass concentrations(200-500 mg/L), the rate of hydrogen evolution reaction at the cathode and metal oxidation reaction at the anode was reduced at the same time, thus reducing the overall corrosion reaction rate, so alanine derivative was a mixed corrosion inhibitor.

Glioma is often recurred after standard treatment due to its complex biological characteristics and the presence of glioma stem cells (GSCs). High -mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) can regulate the malignant progression of glioma through a variety of ways as an oncogene. This article reviews the relationship between HMGB1 gene and the prognosis of glioma patients, tumor pathological grading, GSCs, and the ways including non coding RNA pathway, autophagy pathway, tumor microenvironment, etc., in which HMGB1 gene regulates glioma, so as to provide the reference for the treatment of glioma.

The ventral bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (vBNST) plays a key role in cocaine addiction, especially relapse. However, the direct effects of cocaine on corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) neurons in the vBNST remain unclear. Here, we identify that cocaine exposure can remarkably attenuate the intrinsic excitability of CRH neurons in the vBNST in vitro. Accumulating studies reveal the crucial role of Sigma-1 receptors (Sig-1Rs) in modulating cocaine addiction. However, to the authors’ best knowledge no investigations have explored the role of Sig-1Rs in the vBNST, let alone CRH neurons. Given that cocaine acts as a type of Sig-1Rs agonist, and the dramatic role of Sig-1Rs played in intrinsic excitability of neurons as well as cocaine addiction, we employ BD1063 a canonical Sig-1Rs antagonist to block the effects of cocaine, and significantly recover the excitability of CRH neurons. Together, we suggest that cocaine exposure leads to the firing rate depression of CRH neurons in the vBNST via binding to Sig-1Rs.

AIM: To observe the distribution of cone in the macular of healthy adult in different ages using adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscope(AO-SLO)system, and analyze its relationship with age.METHODS: A total of 100 healthy examinees(200 eyes)in our hospital from June to July 2023 were selected, and they were divided into four groups according to their age, with 25 cases(50 eyes)in each group, including 18-30 years in group A, 31-40 years in group B, 41-50 years in group C, 51-65 years in group D. AO-SLO was performed in both eyes and cone density was measured.RESULTS: The density of cone in the foveal eccentricity of 3° and 2.4°×2.4° in each group was different(Pnasal>inferior>superior sides from high to low. The mean cone density in the macular area of both eyes was 14 144.38±1 082.40, 13 241.24±535.32, 12 930.29±727.73, and 10 907.50±490.86 cell/mm2, respectively(P

Objective The Prydz Bay belt in East Antarctica recorded two significant tectono-thermal events, the Grenvillian event and the Pan-African event, which are considered to be closely related to the evolution of the Rodinia and Gondwana supercontinents. However, the geological history and the tectonic nature of the two events remain controversial. Methods Mineralogical and petrological analyses, phase equilibria modelling and zircon geochronology are combined to investigate the spinel−cordierite granulite from the Mirror Peninsula in order to better understand the tectono-thermal history of the Prydz Bay belt. Results The spinel−cordierite granulite contains different stages of mineral assemblages. The major stage of mineral assemblage involves cordierite, spinel, biotite, sillimanite, K-feldspar and minor garnet and ilmenite. The later stage of mineral assemblage is indicated by the emergence of magnetite as the increasing volumes of biotite and cordierite. Minor garnet and corundum are locally preserved, implying the mineral reaction ‘g+cor→sp+sill’ and more garnet and corundum in the peak stage. The garnet grains consist of 70%−72% almandine, 20%−22% pyrope, ~4% grossularite and ~4% spessartine. The XFe (Fe2+/(Fe2++Mg2+)) of representative garnet grains ranges from 0.77 to 0.80. The spinel exhibits an XFe range from 0.80 to 0.86. Different cordierite grains have similar compositions with Al of 3.89−3.93 a.p.f.u (atoms per formula unit) and XFe of 0.32−0.36. Biotite has high TiO2 (4.13%−5.23%) and Ti (0.23−0.30 a.p.f.u). K-feldspar grains consist of 78%−85% orthoclase, 15%−23% albite and ~1% anorthite. Based on the mineral compositions and phase equilibrium modelling, the pressure−temperature (P−T) conditions of the major stage of mineral assemblage are constrained to 870−910 °C and 0.64−0.69 GPa, followed by later retrogression to 810−820°C and 0.49−0.53 GPa. A peak stage with higher P−T conditions (T>910 ℃, P>0.69 GPa) can be inferred based on the relict peak minerals and characteristic mineral compositions (e.g. Ti in biotite). Zircon grains commonly show core-mantle-rim structures in cathodoluminescence (CL) images. The LA−ICP−MS zircon U−Pb dating analyses reveal a wide age range from 613±7 Ma to 877±9 Ma (except a maximum of 916±11 Ma) for the cores. The zircon bright rims yield a weighted mean age of 526±8 Ma with a wide range of Th/U (0.06−1.23), mostly higher than 0.1. Conclusion Based on the results, a few conclusions can be drawn: (1) The spinel−cordierite granulite recorded medium−low pressure/high-ultrahigh temperature metamorphism with a clockwise P−T evolution path and high dT/dP. (2) The results of zircon geochronological analysis show that zircon cores mainly record U−Pb ages in the range of 800~600 Ma, younger than typical ages of Grenvillian events, which may reflect younger inherited zircon cores or significant isotopic resetting. (3) The age of ~530 Ma of zircon rims is interpreted to represent the post-peak cooling stage of the Pan-African tectono-thermal event. [Significance] This study examined the P−T conditions and the zircon ages of the spinel−cordierite granulite in the Mirror Peninsula. In combination with previous results, the P−T−t path constructed for the spinel−cordierite granulite provides new constraints on the evolution of the Prydz Bay belt during the Pan-African period.

Naringenin (NRG) is widely found in citrus fruits and has anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, and immunomodulatory effects. Previous studies have shown that NRG promotes gastrointestinal motility in mice constipation models, but there are few systematic evaluations of its effects on normal animals. This study first clarified the promotive effects of NRG on gastric emptying and small intestine propulsion (p < 0.01). NRG can also regulate the release of gastrointestinal hormones, including enhancing gastrin (GAS) and motilin (MTL) (p < 0.01), while reducing vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) secretion (p < 0.01). Using NRG to stimulate the isolated stomach, duodenum, and colon showed similar promotive effects to those observed in vivo (p < 0.01). A Western blot analysis indicated that this effect may be mediated by increasing the expression of stem cell factor (SCF) and its receptor (c-Kit) in these three segments, thus regulating their downstream pathways. It is worth noting that NRG can also increase the proportion of beneficial bacteria (Planococcaceae, Bacteroides acidifaciens, Clostridia_UCG-014) in the intestine and reduce the quantity of harmful bacteria (Staphylococcus). These findings provide a new basis for the application of NRG.

At present, casein can be isolated from skim milk by membrane filtration technology, and micellar casein concentrate could be obtained by concentration, sterilization, drying. In this paper, the factors affecting the composition of micellar casein concentrate and its application in cheese production were reviewed. It was found that pH value, temperature and diafiltrant during membrane filtration all affected the composition of micellar casein concentrate, resulting in different concentrations of casein, whey protein, lactose and calcium. It is also possible to standardize raw milk by micellar casein concentrate to produce cheese with the same composition and quality. It is also possible to obtain different raw milk compositions by micellar casein concentrate having different components to produce cheese with desired quality and function. In conclusion, the addition of micellar casein concentrate could affect the composition, texture and flavor of cheese during cheese production, but these problems could be solved by adjusting the process parameters of membrane filtration and cheesemaking. Further research will be still required to find an economic way to preserve micellar casein concentrate and give it extended shelf life, good rennet properties to ensure cheese quality and yield.

Objective To observe the effect of modified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hot compress technique in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee. Methods Totally 60 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee were randomly divided into the observation group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional TCM hot compress technique, and the observation group received the modified hot compress technique by optimizing the size of Chinese herbal medicine package, regulating duration of treatment, and monitoring the temperature with electric temperature controller. Visual Analogue Scale was used to measure the pain, and Lysholm knee scale was used to measure the function of affected knee joint. The clinical effective rate and incidence of nursing adverse events were compared between two groups. Results The VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0. 01), The incidence of scalds in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0. 05). There was no significant difference in Lysholm knee scale and treatment efficacy between two groups (P＞0. 05). Conclusion Modified TCM hot compress technique has a remarkable curative effect in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, which can relieve pain and improve the function of knee joint, and it is a safe technique in clinical practice . E-commerce user segmentation is the basis for enterprises to accurately formulate marketing strategies and successfully manage their customer base. With the rapid development of e-commerce, this paper improves the traditional K-means clustering algorithm and proposes a SAPK-means algorithm, which effectively excludes the noisy data and isolated points in the dataset and obtains the high-quality initial clustering center. Company A’s e-commerce platform is used to apply the SAPK-means algorithm for customer segmentation, and the results are analyzed in detail before proposing targeted marketing strategies. The customized marketing strategy’s effect is evaluated through sales and platform user satisfaction. Through experimental testing, this paper concludes that the five types of segmented customer groups account for 9.46%, 18.43%, 36.95%, 21.91%, and 13.24% of the total number of samples, respectively, known as the “platinum customer group”, “gold customer group “Platinum customer group”, “Gold customer group”, “Silver customer group”, “Copper customer group” and “Iron customer group”, respectively.

This paper explores the feasibility of music therapy in alleviating students’ anxiety symptoms by comparing the effects of different audiovisual singing music therapies on the regulation of students’ anxiety states. The method of emotion calculation and exponential function is used to quantify students’ emotions, combined with the emotion matrix to express the degree of change of students’ emotions, and the cognitive map of music preference is constructed according to the prediction of students’ emotional state. Using emotion similarity matrix to determine the degree of music and student emotion matching available. Music recommendation methods were utilized to push music to anxious student groups, and the students’ music inclination degree was derived from the data. The effects of classical music and light music on students’ anxiety were also analyzed. The results showed that the only two categories of students’ music style tendency degree > 0.5 under anxiety were light music and classical music, and the music tendency degree was categorized as 0.823 and 0.797. The students’ anxiety scores were significantly lower than those before the intervention after the music intervention, with a T-value of 2.52, p0.05, which indicates that music therapy can effectively relieve students’ anxiety.

Along with long-term evolution, the plant cell wall generates lignocellulose and other anti-degradation barriers to confront hydrolysis by fungi. Lytic polysaccharide monooxygenase (LPMO) is a newly defined oxidase in lignocellulosic degradation systems that significantly fuels hydrolysis. LPMO accepts electrons from wide sources, such as cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH), glucose-methanol-choline (GMC) oxidoreductases, and small phenols. In addition, the extracellular cometabolic network formed by cosubstrates improves the degradation efficiency, forming a stable and efficient lignocellulose degradation system. In recent years, using structural proteomics to explore the internal structure and the complex redox system of LPMOs has become a research hotspot. In this review, the diversity of LPMOs, catalytic domains, carbohydrate binding modules, direct electron transfer with CDH, cosubstrates, and degradation networks of LPMOs are explored, which can provide a systematic reference for the application of lignocellulosic degradation systems in industrial approaches.

ObjectiveTo determine the influence of COVID-19 prevention and control on the epidemic characteristics and dynamics of notifiable infectious diseases in the first quarters， Zhejiang Province， and to explore more effective countermeasures against infectious diseases.MethodsDescriptive epidemiology was conducted to determine the change in notifiable infectious diseases during the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Zhejiang Province by retrieving the data of notifiable infectious diseases from 2017 to 2022 in the Chinese information system for disease control and prevention. Cumulative reported new cases of notifiable infectious diseases in the first quarters of 2017‒2019 were compared with that of 2020‒2022.ResultsA total of 546 753 cases of notifiable infectious diseases were newly reported in the first quarters of 2017‒2019， with an average incidence of 321.92/105. In contrast， a total of 509 908 cases of notifiable infectious diseases were newly reported in the first quarters of 2020‒2022， during which the COVID-19 epidemic occurred， with an average incidence of 270.39/105. Abstract Ion‐sensitive field effect transistor (ISFET) sensor is a hot topic these years, playing the combined roles of signal recognizer and converter for (bio)chemical analytes. In this review article, the basic concept, origination, and history of the ISFET sensor are presented. In addition, the common fabrication processes, the most‐used working principle (potentiometric, amperometric, and impedancemetric), and the techniques of gate functionality (physical, chemical, and biological) are discussed introducing the afterward signal transfer processes from ISFET to the terminals through different types of circuits. At last, the development and recent progress (until 2021) of ions and biomolecules (DNA molecules, antibodies, enzymatic substrates, and cell‐related secretions or metabolism) were introduced together with the outlook and facing obstacles (Debye screening, the wearability of ISFET, the multiplexed detections) before the commercialization of ISFET. This review article emphasizes the advantages of the developed ISFET sensors as miniaturization, low‐cost, all‐solid, highly sensitive, and easy operation for portable and multiplexed detections.

Objective Methods 82 patients diagnosed with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy who needed hormone pulse therapy were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to numerical method, with 41 cases in each group. Patients in both groups were given methylprednisolone pulse therapy. The control group was given conventional symptomatic treatment, and the observation group was given auricular copper acupuncture scraping and auricular acupoint pressing treatment on the basis of the control group. The sleep condition, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) of the two groups were compared. Results Two patients dropped out of the study. The effective rate of sleep improvement in observation group was 87. 18%(34/39), which was significantly higher than 41. 46%(17/41) in control group (P < 0. 05). The qualitative and quantitative determination of 32 pesticide residues in surface water was established by gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS). In the experiment, 32 kinds of pesticide residues were extracted at one time by optimizing the pre-treatment; and multiple qualitative ions were selected to ensure the accuracy of the results by optimizing the mass spectrometry parameters of the target compound; the unstable effect of ionization efficiency was eliminated by introducing internal standard of heptachlor B; the interference of matrix effect on pesticide residue detection was avoided by preparing standard curve of matrix. The results showed that the linear range (10~600 μg/l) of the tested residues had good linear relationship: the linear coefficient was ≥0.995, the detection limit was 0.04~0.08 μg/L, the quantitative limit was 0.2 μg/L, and the recoveries were 73.9%~108.8%. The method had the advantages of simple pretreatment, high instrument sensitivity and good selectivity, suitable for daily quantitative analysis of pesticide residues in surface water.

Corona virus disease 2019 （COVID-19） has led to more than 500 million cases， including 6.19 million deaths. Mutated strains of SARS-CoV-2 （alpha， beta， gamma， delta and omicron） have successively emerged. Currently the omicron variant is gradually replacing the delta variant， driving a surge of cases in most countries including China， posing a great challenge to the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. In the face of the severe pandemic situation， a large number of non-medical volunteers are fighting on the front lines of the war against the pandemic and are vulnerable to exposure due to lack of professional knowledge. This paper introduces the routine skills training of volunteers and emergency response， aiming to provide behavioral guidance for non-medical volunteers in designated isolation facilities.

Swarm robots are composed of a certain number of physical robots. Through interaction and cooperation, individuals in this kind of system can sprout robust, scalable and flexible swarm intelligence behavior. Behavior modeling of swarm robots is one of the basic methods for scientific analysis of such systems, and it is also an important basis for its capability evaluation. The research and analysis of behavior model of swarm robots is helpful to understand its behavior mechanism. Firstly, this paper summarizes the main characteristics of swarm robots, and lists and summarizes several typical spatial cooperation behaviors of swarm robots. On this basis, the spatial cooperation behavior of swarm robots is classified, and the modeling methods of spatial cooperation behavior of cluster robots are summarized and expounded, including graph theory, bionic model, dynamic model and learning model. Various modeling methods are analyzed and compared from the multi-dimensional aspects of method overview, application examples and applicable scenes. Finally, the problems of spatial cooperative behavior modeling of swarm robots to be further studied are put forward, and possible research directions in the future are prospected, so as to better support the evaluation and optimization design of swarm robots. The purpose of this paper is to enable relevant researchers to comprehensively and systematically understand the spatial cooperative behavior modeling method of swarm robots.

The treatment of brain tumors, especially the malignant brain tumors, has entered in the bottleneck period at present. It is difficult for traditional molecular biology, cell and animal experiments to make a major breakthrough in the treatment of brain tumors, so researchers have turned their attention to the anatomy and pathology of human whole brain tissue. However, the human whole brain tissue which is available for research is extremely deficient. It is of great significance to encourage brain tumors patients to donate organs and establish a standard human brain tissue resource bank of brain tumors (shortened to brain bank) for the research of brain science and providing new treatment ideas for brain tumors, while the construction of brain bank in China started late, with a relatively small scale and relatively slow development. This paper intends to provide guidance for the construction and improvement of brain bank and specific brain tumors related brain bank in China by drawing on the relevant experience of the construction of brain bank in other countries.

To explore the molecular mechanisms of different processing technologies on rose tea (Rosa rugosa cv. Plena), we investigated the rose tea proteome (fresh rose tea [CS], vacuum freeze-drying rose tea [FD], and vacuum microwave rose tea [VD]) using label-free quantification proteomics (LFQ). A total of 2187 proteins were identified, with 1864, 1905, and 1660 proteins identified in CS, FD, and VD, respectively. Of those, 1500 proteins were quantified. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) annotation and enrichment analysis of differential expression proteins (DEPs) in VD vs. CS, FD vs. CS, and FD vs. VD showed that these pathways were associated with energy metabolism, the metabolic breakdown of energy substances and protein biosynthesis, such as oxidative phosphorylation, citrate cycle, carbon metabolism pathways, and ribosome and protein processing in endoplasmic reticulum. FD could ensure the synthesis of protein translation and energy metabolism, thereby maintaining the high quality of rose tea.

ObjectiveTo investigate the epidemiological characteristics and analyze the incidence trend of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Shanghai， China， and compare with the characteristics of the infection in Jilin Province of China during the same period in 2022 and Wuhan at the beginning of 2020.MethodsInformation of new locally-transmitted confirmed SARS-CoV-2 cases， imported confirmed COVID-19 cases， local asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 carriers and imported asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 carriers in Shanghai from March 1 to April 18， 2022 was collected for descriptive analysis.ResultsFrom March 1 to April 18， 2022， a total of 397 933 locally-transmitted SARS-CoV-2 cases were reported in Shanghai. Of those， 27 613 were clinically confirmed cases and 21 were severe cases. Ten deaths were related to COVID-19. The pathogen is Omicron variant BA.2 of SARS-CoV-2. The number of the infected subjects increased rapidly after March 24 and lead to a disease outbreak. Severe and deceased cases had severe comorbidity and were mostly unvaccinated with SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. Most traditional Siamese trackers cannot perform robust when facing the similar object,deformation,background clutters and other challenges.Accordingly,a cross-attention guided Siamese network (called SiamCAN) is proposed to solve the above problem in this paper.Firstly,different layers of ResNet50 are used to get various revolutions of object feature and a cross-attention module is designed to bridge the information flow between search branch and template branch.After that,each feature from different layers of backbone is sent to CNNs to update parameters and combined with each other,in classification network and regression network.Finally,the predicted location and target size are calculated according to the max response on response map.Simulation experimental results on the UAV123 tracking dataset show that the tracking precision is improved by 1.7% and the tracking accuracy is improved by 0.7%,compared to the mainstream algorithm SiamBAN.Moreover,on the VOT2018 benchmark,the EAO of our method outperforms 2.5 than the mainstream algorithm SiamRPN++,and the tracking speed of our method maintains 35FPS.

The properties of the failure shots on an induction voltage adder are described. This induction voltage adder is composed of six identical prime pulsed power sources, six induction cavities, and a lossless vacuum insulation output transmission line which is terminated by a rod-pinch diode. The failure modes include too early and too late firing of the laser-triggered gas switch in the prime pulsed power sources and abnormal diode impedance declining. The amplitudes of the voltage pulses across the feed port and azimuthal transmission line of the induction cavity are increased by 38% and 48%, respectively, in the event that this cell is driven too early. On the contrary, a reverse voltage pulse will be produced at the induction cavity when it is fired too late. The peak value of the reverse voltage pulse is about 50% of that of the normal polarity pulse. The abnormal rod-pinch diode impedance declining taking place occasionally decreases the load voltage and x-ray dose remarkably. However, the average amplitude of the voltage pulses across the six induction cavities is almost the same as that of a normal shot. We have also analyzed the property of the voltage pulses across the induction cell under the circumstance that only one induction cavity is fired. Both the experimental and circuit simulation data suggest that in this case the voltage pulses on the induction cell are nearly identical even though the load impedance varies vastly.

To assess the characteristics of 13N decay, a monitoring method of the primary loop leakage rate based on the γ-γ coincidence method was proposed. In this work, sampling and measurement devices were designed, in which NaI (Tl) crystals were used as coincidence detectors. The Geant4 simulation method was used to study the relationship between the efficiency e and capacity V change of different devices, and the eV value under the corresponding capacity was obtained. According to the value of eV, the optimal sampling and measurement device was determined, and then the detection efficiency of the device was calibrated experimentally. Taking the 600 000 kW reactor of Qinshan Phase II as the research object, the lower limit of detection was discussed. When the sampling point was located in the fume hood of the control rod drive mechanism, the theoretical lower limit of the coincidence method was 0.756 Lh-1.

This paper summarized the promotion and application experience of appropriate health technology of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)in general hospitals. A carefully designed organizational structure was established, and TCM knowledge and skills training was carried out to liaison nurses in the TCM nursing group. A doctor-nurse team model was adopted in promotion of appropriate health technology of TCM in general hospitals, and great efforts were made to improve the development of TCM nursing. Plant functional traits are adaptive traits formed by interactions between plants and the environment. Considering the Three-River Headwaters Region as a case study, this study systematically analyzed the relationship between plant functional traits and environmental factors in cold regions. The results show that there were significant differences in plant functional traits among the different vegetation types (herbs, shrubs, and arbor plants). Leaf traits such as leaf area (LA), leaf length (LL), leaf width (LW), leaf circumference (LC), and shape coefficient (SC) showed the same trends among herbs, shrubs, and arbor plants. The correlation between leaf functional traits of plants in alpine regions shows that the unique growth mode of different plants and their degree of adaptation to alpine environments ultimately determine the leaf functional trait variations. Moreover, there was a negative correlation between soil temperature and the nitrogen balance index (NBI), chlorophyll content (Chl), flavonoid content (Flv), and SC, whereas there was a trend of first increasing and then decreasing relationship between soil temperature, LL (P 0.05) were significantly positively correlated with altitude. Conversely, there was no significant negative correlation between LW and altitude (P > 0.05). We conclude that climate factors play a decisive role in the distribution of plant functional traits at a global scale, whereas land use and disturbances play a major role at a regional scale, and topographic and soil factors determine the distribution of local characteristics.

Petroleum and gas are important strategic resources, among which natural gas as a clean energy resource has always been and still will be the most important energy resource in the foreseeable future, even after cutting global carbon emissions and China peaking carbon emissions. Diversification of energy import channels has been one of the effective measures to alleviate the energy shortage in China. The Arctic region is rich in oil and gas resources and is dominated by natural gas. The vast majority of oil and gas resources found in the Arctic are in Russia, but now more than 80 percent of the Russian natural gas production is already in their oil and gas fields in north Arctic Circle. In 2012, China and Russia officially launched a joint project to develop liquefied natural gas, marking significant progress in China's participation in the development and utilzation of Arctic oil and gas resources, and in fact started the cooperative process to integrate the China-led "Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt"and the later Russia-led "Construction of Eurasian Economic Union".The total amount of oil and gas resources discovered in the Arctic region is 328.94 billion barrels of oil equivalent, of which oil equivalent amounts to 60.54 billion barrels (8.41 billion tons), only accounting for 2.5% of the world's discovered oil resources; Natural gas amounts to 41.4 trillion cubic meters (268.3 billion barrels, 37.26 billion tons of oil equivalent), and accounts for 15.5 percent of the world's discovered natural gas resources. The vast majority of oil and gas resources discovered in the Arctic region are in Russia, which has a total of 290.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent (40.35 billion tons), accounting for 88.3%, of which natural gas amounts to about 39.47 trillion cubic meters, about 255.79 billion barrels (35.53 billion tons) of oil equivalent, constituting more than 95% of the total discovered natural gas resources in the Arctic. The Arctic also has considerable undiscovered oil and gas resources, accounting for about 15% of the world's total undiscovered amount; The undiscovered natural gas, which mainly distributes in Russia, accounts for 30% of the world's total undiscovered amount. In the context of global warming and crackdown by the US-led Western world, Russia is bound to increase extraction and development of Arctic oil and gas, especially natural gas, and transport them through the Arctic Shipping Lanes to China and other consumer countries, in order to secure its natural gas export revenue and fiscal revenue. This paper takes as the basis the summary of the distribution characteristics of oil and gas resources in the Arctic, oil and gas resources and the Arctic strategy of Russia, and the traffic capacity of the Northern Sea Route (NSR), and reviews the launch and development of the liquefied natural gas joint project as well as the international power politics environment. Moreover, this paper briefly introduces the process of China's successful intervention in the Arctic oil and gas resources project, and puts forward the strategic measures for China to utilize Arctic oil and gas resources.

The pseudotachylite in granulite facies granitic gneisses from the Hamm Peak, southwestern Prydz Bay, East Antarctica, occurs along the east-west-trending ductile-brittle shear zone. The characteristics of microstructure show that the pseudotachylite was formed by the frictional-melt during the rapid faulting along the paleoseismic zone. This inference is supported by the common presence of spherulites and different morphological microlites, such as skeletal, dendritic, acicular and globular in the matrix of pseudotachylite. There exist two kinds of microlite mineral assemblage. One consists mainly of hyperite and plagioclase, which developed in the northeastern part of the shear zone. The other consists of biotite, plagioclase, alkali feldspar and quartz, etc, which developed in the southwestern part of the shear zone. The occurrence of different kinds of microlite mineral assemblage indicates the differences of tectonic surrounding and stress distribution along different parts of the shear zone. Moreover, the presence of aluminous-rich hyperite may indicates the relatively high temperature and high pressure in the ambient physical condition during the pseudotachylite formation and crystallization afterwards, i.e., under the granulite facies conditions. The K-Ar age of bulk matrix of pseudotachylite is 878.1±16.8 Ma. Bulk 40Ar/39Ar step-heating release spectrum gave the varying ages mainly from 925 to 626 Ma. Combined with the regional comparison, we conclude that the pseudotachylite formed during the Grenvillian tectonic events.

Antarctica recorded a Cenozoic geologic history of continental growth, breakup and dispersal, global cooling and the development of continental-scale Antarctic ice sheet. Despite the importance of Antarctica, there has not been an integrated view of the Cenozoic tectonic evolution of the region as a whole. In this Review, we identify the Tasmania gateway and Drake Passage, and present their overlapping and interconnected tectonic, magmatic and sedimentary history of Antarctica, South America and Australia. Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC), which occurred in the late Eocene to early Oligocene, was most impacted by the opening history of Drake Passage and the Tasmania gateway. Our comprehensive analysis and contrastive study show that the beginning of ACC corresponds to the transition from "warmhouse" to "coolhouse" phase at 34 Ma, indicating the development of ACC was controlled by the tectonic gateways, which in turn affected global climate. We conclude by briefly summarizing the Cenozoic geologic history of the Antarctic system as a whole, and how it provides insight into continent-ocean configuration patterns and what key topics must be addressed by future research are disscussed as well.

The Larsemann Hills are located on the eastern coast of the Prydz Bay in East Antarctica. Based on large-scale geological mapping, metamorphic complex in the Larsemann Hills was found to be layered orderly in general, and therefore, the Larsemann Group is established. The Larsemann Group is subdivided into 6 rock formations, and the protolith formation age is the Mesoproterozoic. The group has experienced the superposition of the Grenvillian and Pan-African metamorphism, and the metamorphic grade reached upper amphibolite facies to granulite facies. The main structural line in the Larsemann Hills is in the NEE-SWW strain, which generally constitutes a synclinorum structure verging to NEE. The distribution of several rock formations also shows the gradually younging from east to west. The NNW-SSE deformation of the structural line is obviously superimposed on the eastern Mirror Peninsula. The study shows that the Larsemann Group has suffered 6 periods of deformation, including the early Neoproterozoic Grenvillian period (D1), the late Neoproterozoic to early Paleozoic Pan-African periods (D2, D3, D4 and D5) and the Meso-Cenozoic extension (D6). The foliations presented in the rocks are actually the composite foliations of both the Grenvillian and Pan-African events, and the Pan-African event is demonstrated stronger than the Grenvillian event, which is rarely preserved in the gneisses. Constrained with both the metamorphic age of the Larsemann Group and the intrusion time of the Progress granite, it is believed that the D2~D5 deformations occurred during the span of 550~500 Ma. Thus, both the metamorphism and deformation features of rocks from the Larsemann Hills show that the Mesoproterozoic Larsemann Group have witnessed two orogenies of Grenvillian and Pan-African periods, respectively, and the breakup of the Gondwana.

West Antarctica is mainly composed of five distinct micro-continental blocks, namely Haag Nunataks, Antarctic Peninsula, Thurston Island, Marie Byrd Land and Ellsworth-Whitmore Mountains. In order to understand the geological evolution of West Antarctica, this paper presents a brief overview of the main magmatic events of the five blocks and their tectonic significance. The oldest rock is the Precambrian orthogneiss from Haag Nunataks with zircon U-Pb age of~1238 Ma, indicating the development of Mesoproterozoic arc magmatism in West Antarctica. The other four blocks preserve the geological records since~500 Ma. During the Paleozoic, the Ellsworth-Whitmore Mountains block was formed in a rapidly subsiding continental rift basin environment which was related to the back-arc extension caused by the Ross Orogeny, and the magmatic activity was rare. A set of convergence-related magmatism occurred in the middle to late Paleozoic in Mary Byrd Land block, which was formed in an active continental margin environment. The Antarctic Peninsula-Thurston Island blocks record the development of the Carboniferous-Permian arc during this time. During the Mesozoic, the tectonic setting of these blocks began to differentiate since the Jurassic. The Ellsworth-Whitmore Mountains block records Jurassic intra-plate magmatism, which may be associated with large igneous province. In Marie Byrd Land, the lithology changed from Ⅰ-type arc magmatic rocks to A-type alkaline magmatic rocks in the Jurassic-Early Cretaceous to the mid-Cretaceous period. This reflects a major change in tectonic setting from subduction to rifting during the mid-Cretaceous. The Jurassic-Cretaceous flare-up in arc magmatism record on the Antarctic Peninsula-Thurston Island blocks with a pulse of Jurassic large igneous provinces. These are the product of the interaction of continuous subduction and rifting. The Cenozoic magmatism was represented by the Antarctic Peninsula block with arc magmatism continuing until the Eocene. The temporal and spatial distribution of the arc magmatism was related to the subduction and collision of spreading ridge which was cut into several segments by sinistral transform faults.

The Archean cratonic nuclei in the East Antarctic Shield (Craton) occur mainly in the Napier Mountains, southern Prince Charles Mountains, Rauer Group and Vestfold Hills in the Indian Ocean sector, and are sporadically exposed in the Australian, African and Pacific sectors. These ancient nuclei with diverse earlier crustal histories and later reworking processes are separated by the Paleoproterozoic-Early Paleozoic (Pan-African-aged) orogens. The nuclei in different sectors have a close affinity with the adjacent Gondwana continental blocks. Integrated bedrock and subglacial geological investigations and petrological and chemical studies will ascertain the temporal and spatial distributions, petrogenesis, source regions, tectonic affinities and multiple metamorphic records of the Archean rocks (materials) in East Antarctica.This can help to reveal the major history from nucleation to assembly of the East Antarctica continent, and thus to contribute to a better understanding of the early history of the Earth from an Antarctic perspective.

Acute liver injury (ALI) is characterized by apoptosis, inflammation, and oxidative stress, and pathogenic mechanism of ALI is poorly understood. Apoptosis-stimulating of p53 protein 1 (ASPP1) is involved in environmental responses, tumor growth, and NF-KB activity, which is of critical importance to ALI. However, the role of ASPP1 in ALI remains largely unexplored. The current study aimed to determine the role of ASPP1 in ALI induced by CCl4 and the underlying mechanism. ASPP1 expression was detected in wild type (WT) mice with ALI induced by CCl4. The function of ASPP1 in ALI induced by CCl4 was investigated using conventional knockout ASPP1 mice. ASPP1 expression significantly increased in ALI mice at 24 hours after CCl4 injection. Deletion of ASSP1 ameliorated apoptosis, inflammation, and necrosis in ALI relative to WT mice. In addition, deficiency of ASPP1 improved liver flood flow as well as ALT and AST levels. The levels of phosphorylated p65 and phosphorylated IκBα were lower in ASPP1-/- mice than in WT mice with ALI. These results implicate that deletion of ASPP1 may act via inhibition of the NF-κB pathway and protect mice from ALI, which may be a new potential therapeutic target for the treatment of ALI.

In vitro diagnostics with biochemical sensors are one of the most important technologies for medical diagnosis and the examination of human health. With the improvement of people's living standards, the demand for in vitro diagnostics is increasing, and the requirements for the performance of biochemical sensors are also getting higher. Compared to other biochemical sensors, photoelectrochemical sensors based on heterogeneous nanostructures have excellent light absorption ability and electron transfer performance, and are powerful alternatives for the detection of chemical substances and biochemical molecules for in vitro diagnostics. And this is the main reason why they are a hot topic among relevant analytical methods. However, comprehensive and detailed analyses based on these sensors are rarely reported, especially for in vitro diagnostics, so a complete review of this field is necessary. This review outlines the advantages and disadvantages of various current sensors and further demonstrates the superiority of photoelectrochemical sensors based on heterogeneous nanostructures by comparison. In addition, a detailed classification, introduction of principles and analysis of synthesis methods of heterogeneous nanostructured photoelectrochemical sensors are presented. Based on the above analysis, a detailed description of the use of this type of sensor for in vitro diagnosis of inorganic and organic (micromolecules and macromolecules) molecules in recent years is presented. Predicting and combating relevant diseases are realized by in vitro detection of molecules. Finally, it paves the way for subsequent researchers in the process of realizing practical applications of photoelectrochemical sensing based on heterogeneous nanostructures.

BACKGROUND Hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectroscopy (HG-AFS) is highly sensitive for the determination of trace selenium in geological samples. However, the complex matrix increases the analysis difficulty, especially owing to interference caused by organic carbon, complicated complexes, and coexisting ions in samples rich in organic matter and sulfides. Therefore, sample pretreatment is important. The use of conventional thiol cotton fiber (TCF) to enrich and separate selenium often leads to unstable recovery and premature saturation of the TCF when dealing with samples rich in organic matter and sulfides. OBJECTIVES To establish a method suitable for the determination of trace selenium in geological samples rich in organic matter and sulfides. METHODS For samples rich in organic matter, a double TCF column (mTCF=0.15g) was used to carry out adsorption twice. The recovery for high-sulfur geological samples could be increased either by increasing the amount of TCF (mTCF ≤ 0.2g) or reducing the sample amount. RESULTS The measurement results for the reference materials and actual samples showed that the optimized method satisfied the analysis requirements as selenium recoveries of >95.1% and >95.5% were achieved for the organic-rich and sulfide samples, respectively. Microwave digestion can effectively avoid the loss of selenium during digestion; the measured selenium content was consistent with that reported in the literature. CONCLUSIONS The improved method is suitable for geological samples rich in organic matter and sulfides, which can be used to determine trace selenium (ng/g to μg/g levels) in geological samples.

Objective To investigate the effect of integrated Traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of diabetic foot gangrene. Methods Totally 60 patients with diabetic foot gangrene were randomly divided into the control group and observation group, with 30 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated by western medicine and nursing, and those in the observation group were given integrated Traditional Chinese and western medicine, which included Chinese herbal medicine internal and external application by syndrome differentiation. The treatment efficacy was evaluated and compared between two groups. Results The effective rate in observation group was higher than that in the control group (93. 33% vs. 70. 00%, P＜0. 05). Conclusion The integrated Traditional Chinese and western medicine is effective to relieve clinical symptom of patients with diabetic foot gangrene. Objective To observe the practice effect of non-drug pain management in nursing care of critically ill orthopedic patients. Methods Totally 68 critically ill orthopedic patients were included as research objects. The non-drug pain management was carried out on the basis of routine nursing for pain control. The pain relief and adverse reactions were observed after intervention, and patient’s satisfaction with nursing was measured. Results All patients recovered well, and there was no case of insomnia, constipation, headache reported. The score of pain assessment scale and frequency of acute pain were decreased after intervention. The overall rate of satisfaction was 94. 12%(64/68). Conclusion On the basis of routine pain control, the non-drug pain management is potentially effective to relieve the pain intensity of critically ill orthopedic patients.
