Jurassic-Cretaceous magmatic rocks are widely distributed in the Jiaodong area, North China. These magmatic rocks are closely associated with gold deposits, but their petrogenesis and geodynamic background are still controversial. The Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous granitic rocks exposed in the Guocheng area, Jiaodong Peninsula are the focus of this paper. Zircon U-Pb dating, Hf-O isotope and whole rock geochemical analysis are used to determine the petrogenesis of these rocks. Combined with previous data, the geodynamic processes of granite formation in different time intervals are investigated which provide new petrological evidence for understanding the magmatic-mineralization and tectonic background of the Jiaodong area. Samples were collected from the Queshan and Shazibu plutons. The Queshan pluton is a mylonite granite, one sample of which yields a 206U-238Pb zircon age of 156 Ma, while the Shazibu pluton is a quartz monzonite, one sample of which records a 206U-238Pb zircon age of 117 Ma. The two plutons have variable zircon Hf-O isotopic compositions: zircon εHf(t) values of the Queshan pluton are −29.2 to −22.8, and δ18O values are 7.30–7.84 ‰, while the Shazibu pluton has relatively high zircon εHf(t) values (−21.6 to −21.0) and δ18O values of 7.48–8.43 ‰. Whole-rock geochemical data shows that the Queshan pluton has high Sr/Y (60.7–169) and (La/Yb)N (34.6–65.9) values and low Y (3.11–10.3 ppm) and Yb (0.29–0.85 ppm) contents, akin to adakites, whereas granites of the Shazibu pluton are A-type with high Zr+Nb+Ce+Y contents (354–420 ppm) and zircon saturation temperatures (752–795°C). Based on the geochemical and isotopic data, the Late Jurassic Queshan pluton is the product of partial melting of thickened lower crust of the North China Block, while the Early Cretaceous Shazibu pluton formed via fractional crystallization of mafic rocks derived from partial melting of the lower crust of the North China Block. Although both plutons were derived from the lower crust of the North China Block, the nature of the lower crust was modified by involvement of more depleted mantle-derived materials during the Early Cretaceous. From the Late Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous, the rock types (from the adakite to A-type granite) and the nature of the magma source suggest a shift in geodynamic processes. Combined with previous research, the Late Jurassic Queshan pluton is proposed to have formed under low-angle subduction of the ancient Pacific Plate, while the Early Cretaceous Shazibu pluton formed subsequently during Pacific Plate rollback and extension. The Early Cretaceous transformation of tectonomagmatic environments provided favourable conditions for the formation of large-scale gold deposits in the Jiaodong region. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aims: In recent years, we have developed the concept of 'clinical pathway based on integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine for the management of Chronic heart failure (CHF)'. The purpose of this study was to assess the implementation effects of multifaceted optimization management of chronic heart failure. Methods: A total of nine physicians in optimization group from nine research sites received multifaceted intervention (a 1‐day training session on how to implement the optimization programme, a written optimization programme for CHF management, supervision from daily quality coordinator, and 1‐monthly monitoring and feedback of performance measure) with respect to the management of CHF, comparing to nine physicians in control group who did not receive the aforementioned multifaceted intervention and diagnosed and treated CHF patients with conventional programme (usual care). After that, a total of 256 patients with CHF were enrolled and randomly assigned to receive optimization programme [integration of usual care and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment] or conventional programme (usual care) for the treatment of CHF. The primary outcome was the change in New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional classification during 24 weeks of treatment. Results: When compared with usual care, multifaceted optimization management resulted in superior improvements in NYHA functional classification at the 12‐week visit (P = 0.023), the 16‐week, 20‐week, and 24‐week visits (P < 0.001). It also demonstrated superior performance in comparison with the conventional programme with respect to readmission rate for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs), readmission rate for worsening heart failure, plasma N‐terminal pro‐B‐type natriuretic peptide (NT‐proBNP) level, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), patient TCM syndrome scores, quality of life, and patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in optimization group more likely received beta‐blockers and ACE inhibitors or ARBs than those in control group (P = 0.038 and P = 0.013, respectively). Conclusions: It is likely that the multifaceted optimization programme used in this study is feasible would benefit patients with CHF in NYHA functional classification, readmission for worsening heart failure, plasma NT‐proBNP level, LVEF, patient TCM syndrome scores, and quality of life. The SPARC M7 processor offers up to 3\times the throughput performance of Oracle's previous SPARC processor generation for many enterprise workloads. It contains 32 highly optimized S4 cores that include a more efficient L2 cache scheme, support for VIS extensions, virtual address masking, and user-level synchronization instructions to provide substantial single thread performance over the predecessor design. A total of 256 threads per chip provide the throughput performance required by even the most demanding enterprise applications. Both throughput and single thread performance benefit from a large fully shared 64 MB on-chip L3 cache with very low latency. The 0.5 TB/s on-chip communications bandwidth requirements are served via a semi-custom on-chip network (OCN) in place of the traditional crossbar. Hardware database analytics accelerator units (DAX) achieve up to 10\times the performance for in-memory database queries, include decompression and messaging operations, and support pointer version checking for securing application data through application data integrity (ADI), as well as fine grained memory migration. The SerDes IO operate up to 18 Gbps, offering 1 TB/s total bandwidth for memory and multi-socket interfaces. New on-chip power management features include fast and accurate dynamic power meters, thermal sensors, and a fine-grain thermal, current, and chip power control engine to enable maximum performance/Watt. Special circuits like the voltage shift module (VSM) were developed to cope with the clock and voltage domain crossing issues, while the asymmetric frequency lock loop (AFLL) main clock generation circuit also provides Ldi/dt droop compensation leading to substantial power savings. A new method for the quantitative assessment of hydrocarbon generation potential from coals by means of the chemical reaction kinetics has been developed gradually over the recent years. In this paper, the kinetic parameters of hydrocarbon gas generation are determined by high temperature and pressure, and closed- system thermal simulation for Late Paleozoic coals in the Qinshui Basin and the kinetic characteristics and the histories of hydrocarbon gas generation were studied using the parameters obtained. Results show that during the longer period from the Triassic (T) to the Middle Jurassic (J2), the coal-derived methane yield increased more slowly under lower palaeogeotemperature in the Qinshui Basin; however, the shorter period from Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous, the coal-derived methane yield increased more rapidly under higher palaeogeotemperature. The correlation between the thermal simulation and the factual data shows that C1/(C1+C2-4) coefficients computed by the histories of methane and C2-C4 hydrocarbon generation can provide evidence for the identification of the genesis of coal bed gas in the different areas of the Qinshui Basin. The kinetic simulating experiment of hydrocarbon generation for the peat considered as the original matter of coal formation was performed for the first time and the simulated results were compared with the characteristics of hydrocarbon generation from coals undergoing various palaeogeotemperature in the Qinshui Basin. The result indicates that the peat has a higher potential of hydrocarbon generation than that of coals. Therefore, the hydrocarbon generation results obtained from kinetic simulation for coal with higher maturation rank could not stand for their original hydrocarbon generation potential and thus would lead to an underestimation for coal-bed gas resource. The generative amount of coal-derived gas in the Qinshui Basin was predicted using kinetic simulation results for the peat and their maximum was estimated. The calculation shows that the generative amount of coal-derived gas from Taiyuan Formation and Shanxi Formation coal-beds in the Qinshui Basin is the highest in Yangcheng area, higher in Qinyuan area and the lowest in Huoshan area. Therefore, the conditions of coal-bed gas generation are the best in Yangcheng area, the second in Qinyuan area and not very good in Huoshan area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Doping is a recognized method for enhancing catalytic performance. The introduction of strains is a common consequence of doping, although it is often overlooked. Differentiating the impact of doping and strain on catalytic performance poses a significant challenge. In this study, Cu-doped Bi catalysts with substantial tensile strain are synthesized. The synergistic effects of doping and strain in bismuth result in a remarkable CO 2 RR performance. Under optimized conditions, Cu 1/6 -Bi demonstrates exceptional formate Faradaic efficiency (>95%) and maintains over 90% across a wide potential window of 900 mV. Furthermore, it delivers an industrial-relevant partial current density of -317 mA cm -2 at -1.2 V RHE in a flow cell, while maintaining its selectivity. Additionally, it exhibits exceptional long-term stability, surpassing 120 h at -200 mA cm -2 . Through experimental and theoretical mechanistic investigations, it has been determined that the introduction of tensile strain facilitates the adsorption of *CO 2 , thereby enhancing the reaction kinetics. Moreover, the presence of Cu dopants and tensile strain further diminishes the energy barrier for the formation of *OCHO intermediate.
