In the rehabilitation training process of lower limb rehabilitation robots, the existence of uncertain factors such as model parameters and environmental interference will affect the accuracy of trajectory tracking of the robot. To solve this problem, an adaptive compensation control based on the radial basis function (RBF) neural network is proposed. This control method can improve the accuracy of mechanical system trajectory tracking. Firstly, a closed chain horizontal lower limb rehabilitation robot structure with four working modes and stable movement is designed. Secondly, the Lagrange method is used to solve the kinetic nominal model, the uncertainty factors such as model parameters and external interference of the rehabilitation device are separated, and the adaptive compensation algorithm based on the RBF neural network is designed for the approximate control. Finally, the Matlab/Simulink environment is used to verify the effectiveness of the control strategy. The results show that, compared with the traditional fuzzy proportional integral derivative (PID) control method, the adaptive compensation algorithm based on the RBF neural network has a faster response speed and better tracking effect in human gait curve trajectory tracking. Moreover, the peak angle errors of the hip joint and the knee joint trajectory tracking are 0.08° and 0.13° respectively, which are much less than the rotation angle of patients' lower limbs in rehabilitation exercise. A single-leg prototype experiment is designed to show that the RBF compensation adaptive controller used in the study can achieve high precision tracking results and meet the safety requirements of patients in rehabilitation training.

Researcher roles as insiders and outsiders are important in qualitative studies. Yet, the roles and perspectives of insider and outsider researchers working collaboratively in transnational learning contexts have received little research attention. This paper reports on a small-scale qualitative project that explored our research collaboration as insiders and outsiders. We investigated three undergraduate Chinese international pre-service teachers' academic experiences in one Australian university. The doctoral student researcher, as an insider who shared language and culture with the participants, undertook in-class observations and semi-structured interviews with the three participants while the outsider researchers developed and guided the overall project. In the course of data analysis, and using a reflexive lens, we were given insight into how our distinct cultural and linguistic identities and positionings steered our interpretations and enriched them as we made sense of them. In so doing we became aware of the ways in which our research plans and our own roles and dispositions were dynamically shaped and shifted as we worked with our participants and with each other. In this way, our research plan itself was changed while the process of interpreting the data became enriched and inspired confidence.

To reduce energy consumption in data center cooling systems and ensure the healthy and rapid development of data centers, this study investigated on the cooling system of a data center in Guangzhou. Aimed at the efficiency variations of chillers at different Partial Load Rates (PLR), a novel model predictive control method was proposed. The study employed Gaussian process regression to establish a chillers' operational efficiency model and utilized Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural networks to create an outdoor wet bulb temperature time series prediction model. The cooling system's chilled water storage and discharge modes, storage and discharge capacity, the number of chillers, and the PLR were adjusted based on the data center cooling load and the prediction of outdoor wet bulb temperature. This adjustment aims to partially decouple the demand and supply sides, resulting in the chillers being operated in high efficiency or turned off, thereby reducing the operational energy consumption of the cooling system. Compared to the traditional rule-based control strategy, the model predictive control strategy reduced the overall energy consumption by 3.13% and operating costs by 3.33%.

The low simulation efficiency of three-dimensional transient calculation makes it difficult to be applied in predicting fuel temperature during the entire fuel consumption process. In order to satisfy the requirements of fuel temperature field calculation in the rapid iterative fuel system design process, a novel efficient and accurate improved thermal network method was proposed. The mixing coefficient was introduced to the heat conduction equation to represent the heat convection inside the fuel, and the heat transfer caused by the mass transfer term was added to the heat balance equation to represent the problem of overall fuel flow. Based on the improved thermal network method, the transient thermal analysis model of the high-speed aircraft fuel tank was constructed. The results show that under different thermal boundary conditions and tank geometries, the temperature deviation between the thermal network method and the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) method is less than 5%, and the calculation efficiency of the thermal network method is much higher, which can greatly improve the computational efficiency. By combining CFD calculation with the improved thermal network method, a novel fuel transient temperature prediction method is provided for the design of the high-speed aircraft fuel storage system.

The role of early childhood education and care (ECEC) is to support the learning and development of children in collaboration with families. The notion of inclusion in ECEC provides children with a sense of agency in becoming a learner able to participate fully and actively in their community. This paper illustrates how ECEC assessment approaches risk labelling young children in 'deficit' terms. The paper through a case study critically reflects on the implementation of a new assessment tool in kindergartens in the south-eastern region of Melbourne, Australia (low-middle income). Interviews were conducted with managers about the new tool, and documents (checklists and observations) were collected from the teachers. Findings show that the children were positioned as vulnerable with the introduction of the new assessment tool, leading to a diagnosis of 'at risk' for many children and a subsequent referral to education consultants, and health professionals. We explore the tensions of labelling young children, 'at risk' against the notion of 'becoming' that frames the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (Department of Education and Training 2019) and professional understandings of 'inclusion'. The work of Nancy Fraser on 'social justice' augments the examination of this tension.

Background Traumatic extensor knee contracture is very common in clinic, and most patients have gait abnormalities. In clinical rehabilitation, the assessment of gait is mostly performed using scales and balance instruments. Dynamic plantar pressure test, as a scientific and objective assessment method, has been widely used in the assessment of lower limb diseases. The use of dynamic plantar pressure test in patients with traumatic extensor knee contracture is less common both nationally and internationally. Objective To investigate the distribution pattern of dynamic plantar pressure in patients with traumatic extensor knee contracture, and to provide data support for guiding rehabilitation assessment and gait training. Methods From December 2020 to December 2021, 35 patients with traumatic extensor knee contracture who were treated in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University were selected as the study group, and 30 healthy individuals with normal gait who volunteered to participate in this study during the same period were selected as the control group. ByGait-G6060-5 gait analysis system measuring instrument was used to collect the plantar pressure parameters of the two groups of subjects. The step length, step width, step speed, foot angle, total touchdown time, the proportion of plantar pressure in each area〔hallux toe (T1 area), second to fifth toe (T2 area), first metatarsal (M1 area), second metatarsal (M2 area), third metatarsal (M3 area), fourth metatarsal (M4 area), fifth metatarsal (M5 area), middle plantar (MF area), medial heel (MH area), lateral heel (LH area) 〕, the total plantar pressure Ad value, the maximum deviation distance (COP-X deviation) of plantar pressure center in the lateral (left-right body direction) and the maximum deviation distance (COP-Y deviation) of plantar pressure center in the longitudinal (anterior-posterior body direction) of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The step length of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, the step width and total touchdown time were longer than those of the control group, the step speed was slower than that of the control group, and the foot angle was higher than that of the control group (P0.05).
