38. MMC Submodule Topology With CVSB and DCFRT Capability for Offshore Wind Farms Black-Start

Abstract

This article presents an MMC improved semi-full-bridge sub-module (ISFBSM) structure with negative level output, capacitor voltage self-balancing (CVSB), and DC fault ride-through (DCFRT) capability. The ISFBSM topology can be obtained by adding two IGBTs alongwith antiparallel diode to the SFBSM. Compared with the SFBSM, the ISFBSM has a faster DC fault handling speed and more negative output levels. When the DC fault occurs, the capacitors in the ISFBSM are put into the fault circuit in series. The double reverse capacitor voltage can block the fault current faster. Moreover, the ISFBSM can output −2uc, −uc, 0, uc, and 2uc. The extra −2uc voltage level can ensure that the ISFBSM-MMC reverse DC voltage is more stable than the SFBSM-MMC when the whole wind power transmission system performs power flow reversal control. Although the hardware cost of the ISFBSM is higher than the SFBSM, the safe and stable operation of the offshore wind power transmission system should be prioritized in extremely harsh climate conditions on the sea. Compared to the SFBSM, the faster DC fault handling speed and more negative output levels of the ISFBSM make it more suitable for offshore wind power transmission in scenarios such as handling DC faults and black-start of wind farms. Then, the negative level output, capacitor voltage self-balancing, and DC fault clearing mechanism are introduced detailedly. Eventually, the MATLAB/Simulink simulation and the dSpace1202 MicrolabBox experimental results confirm the ISFBSM validity.

Abstract

The problem of ambient vibration caused by urban rail transit continues to be serious, but it has not been satisfactorily resolved. This study investigates the structure of a novel phononic crystal vibration isolator (NPCVI) in which the low-frequency and multi-modal features of the acoustic black hole (ABH) structure are used to create coupling vibration between the ABH rubber and steel resonator. The bandgap is widened and the vibration isolation capability of the phononic crystal vibration isolator is optimized. By establishing a finite element model, the multi-bandgap behavior of the NPCVI is discussed, and its vibration isolation capability is demonstrated via studies of the force transmission spectrum. The energy distribution in the finite element model reveals the nature of multi-bandgap formation. Finally, a train–floating slab track–tunnel coupled dynamic model is established to investigate the vibration isolation capability of the NPCVI under the excitation of various track irregularities. The results demonstrate that, under various train speeds, the NPCVI exhibits a superior vibration isolation capability as compared to that of a steel-spring vibration isolator.

Abstract

To investigate the effects of quercetin on intestinal barrier disruption and inflammation in acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP) in rats, and its possible mechanism.ANP was established by retrograde injection of 3.5% sodium taurocholate into the biliopancreatic duct, and quercetin (50 mg/kg × 3) was administered by intraperitoneal injection prior to and after ANP induction. Pancreatitis was assessed by pancreatic histopathology, plasma amylase, pancreatic myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity, IL-1β, TNFα and IL-6 levels. Injury of the distal ileum was assessed by histological evaluation. The ultrastructural changes of ileal epithelial cells were examined by transmission electron microscope (TEM). Intestinal barrier function was estimated by plasma diamine oxidase (DAO), d-lactate, endotoxin; and intestinal tight junction proteins including zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1), claudin 1, occludin; and bacterial translocation. Intestinal inflammation was determined by IL-1β, TNFα and IL-17 A expression. TLR4, MyD88, pp38 MAPK, and endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS)-related molecules (Bip, p-IRE1α, sXBP1, p-eIF2α, ATF6) were measured by immunohistochemistry and WB.Quercetin intervention attenuated pancreatic and ileal pathological damages in ANP (P 0.05), ameliorated intestinal barrier disruption and inflammation (P 0.05). Meantime, QE significantly suppressed intestinal TLR4/MyD88/p38 MAPK pathway and ERS activation.Quercetin plays a protective role against intestinal barrier disruption and inflammation in ANP, probably partly by inhibiting TLR4/MyD88/p38 MAPK and ERS activation.
