ABSTRACTAmidst the rapid urbanisation, the ecological environment of plateau lake basins faces significant challenges. To better coordinate the relationship between urbanisation development and ecological environment construction, this paper conducts an analysis and assessment of the ecological resilience and urbanisation coupling coordination in Dali Prefecture based on socio-geographical spatial data. Initially, an assessment model for ecological resilience is established using resilience theory. Subsequently, the urbanisation development level is evaluated based on panel data. Finally, a coupling coordination model is employed to calculate the coupling coordination between the two aspects. The results indicate: (1) a rapid increase in basin urbanisation from 2010 to 2019, particularly between 2010 and 2015; (2) a continuous expansion of low-value ecological resilience areas across the entire basin, with a predominance of townships experiencing fluctuating decreases or stagnation, leading to an overall negative trend in ecological resilience indices; (3) evident spatial and temporal disparities in coupling coordination between the two systems in the basin’s villages and towns, primarily reflected in differences in coupling coordination types, with a few towns consistently exhibiting environmental lag. This study introduces a customised ecological resilience model for the Erhai Basin, enhancing comprehension of urbanisation-ecological resilience dynamics in plateau lake basins.

Highlights Electrodeposited amorphous IrO x thin electrodes are first developed for proton exchange membrane electrolyzer cells. An ultralow loading of 0.075 mg cm−2 archives superior performance to catalyst-coated membrane (2 mg cm−2). > 96% of catalyst savings and > 42-fold higher catalyst utilization are demonstrated.

Abstract The development of a robust quasi-ohmic contact with minimal resistance, good stability and cost-effectiveness is crucial for perovskite solar cells. We introduce a generic approach featuring a Lewis-acid layer sandwiched between dopant-free semicrystalline polymer and metal electrode in perovskite solar cells, resulting in an ideal quasi-ohmic contact even at elevated temperature up to 85 °C. The solubility of Lewis acid in alcohol facilitates nondestructive solution processing on top of polymer, which boosts hole injection from polymer into metal by two orders of magnitude. By integrating the polymer-acid-metal structure into solar cells, devices exhibit remarkable resilience, retaining 96% ± 3%, 96% ± 2% and 75% ± 7% of their initial efficiencies after continuous operation in nitrogen at 35 °C for 2212 h, 55 °C for 1650 h and 85 °C for 937 h, respectively. Leveraging the Arrhenius relation, we project an impressive T 80 lifetime of 26,126 h at 30 °C.

Global climate change and rapid urbanization have increased the frequency of flooding, making urban flood resilience a critical objective. This article introduces a methodology for assessing urban flood resilience, utilizing a social-ecological synthesis index that integrates geographical and temporal data with Geographic Information System (GIS). The study focuses on ten administrative subdistricts in Wuhua District, Kunming City, China, and selects 18 social-ecological indicators. These indicators, chosen from social and ecological perspectives, are weighted using the entropy weight method to determine their significance in the assessment system. By combining scores for each subdistrict, the study quantifies flood resilience and creates a spatial distribution map using ArcGIS. Key findings reveal that out of the ten administrative subdistricts, five in Wuhua District, particularly in the core urban area of Kunming, demonstrate strong overall flood resilience. Influenced by social-ecological indicators, there is significant spatial differentiation in flood resilience within Wuhua District, with a decreasing trend radiating from the city center to areas farther from the urban core. The research indicates that regions with well-established transportation infrastructure, a wide distribution of government institutions, improved water management facilities, and a substantial population with higher education levels contribute significantly to enhancing urban flood resilience. Recent clinical studies have shown that mutation of phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome 10 (PTEN) gene in cancer cells may be associated with immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) and poor response to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy. Therefore, efficiently restoring PTEN gene expression in cancer cells is critical to improving the responding rate to ICB therapy. Here, we screened an adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsid for efficient PTEN gene delivery into B16F10 tumor cells. We demonstrated that intratumorally injected AAV6-PTEN successfully restored the tumor cell PTEN gene expression and effectively inhibited tumor progression by inducing tumor cell immunogenic cell death (ICD) and increasing immune cell infiltration. Moreover, we developed an anti-PD-1 loaded phospholipid-based phase separation gel (PPSG), which formed an in situ depot and sustainably release anti-PD-1 drugs within 42 days in vivo. In order to effectively inhibit the recurrence of melanoma, we further applied a triple therapy based on AAV6-PTEN, PPSG@anti-PD-1 and CpG, and showed that this triple therapy strategy enhanced the synergistic antitumor immune effect and also induced robust immune memory, which completely rejected tumor recurrence. We anticipate that this triple therapy could be used as a new tumor combination therapy with stronger immune activation capacity and tumor inhibition efficacy.

The combination of Chaidangbo (CDB) is an antidepressant traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) prescription simplified by Xiaoyaosan (a classic antidepressant TCM prescription) through dismantling research, which has the effect of dispersing stagnated liver qi and nourishing blood in TCM theory. Although the antidepressant effect of CBD has been confirmed in animal studies, the material basis and possible molecular mechanism for antidepressant activity in CBD have not been clearly elucidated. Herein, we investigated the effects and potential mechanisms of CDB antidepressant fraction (petroleum ether fraction of CDB, PEFC) on chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS)-induced depression-like behavior in mice using network pharmacology and metabolomics. First, a UPLC-QE/MS was employed to identify the components of PEFC. To extract active ingredients, SwissADME screening was used to the real PEFC components that were found. Potential PEFC antidepressant targets were predicted based on a network pharmacology approach, and a pathway enrichment analysis was performed for the predicted targets. Afterward, a CUMS mouse depression model was established and LC-MS-based untargeted hippocampal metabolomics was performed to identify differential metabolites, and related metabolic pathways. Finally, the protein expressions in mouse hippocampi were determined by Western blot to validate the network pharmacology and metabolomics deduction. A total of 16 active compounds were screened in SwissADME that acted on 73 core targets of depression, including STAT3, MAPKs, and NR3C1; KEGG enrichment analysis showed that PEFC modulated signaling pathways such as PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, endocrine resistance, and MAPK to exert antidepressant effects. PEFC significantly reversed abnormalities of hippocampus metabolites in CUMS mice, mainly affecting the synthesis and metabolism of glycine, serine, and threonine, impacting catecholamine transfer and cholinergic synapses and regulating the activity of the mTOR signaling pathway. Furthermore, Western blot analysis confirmed that PEFC significantly influenced the main protein levels of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathways in the hippocampus of mice subjected to CUMS. This study integrated metabolomics, network pharmacology and biological verification to explore the potential mechanism of PEFC in treating depression, which is related to the regulation of amino acid metabolism dysfunction and the activation of PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathways in the hippocampus. The comprehensive strategy also provided a reasonable way for unveiling the pharmacodynamic mechanisms of multi-components, multi-targets, and multi-pathways in TCM with antidepressant effect.

Background: Protein-based pneumococcal vaccines (PBPVs) may offer expanded protection against Streptococcus pneumoniae and tackle the antimicrobial resistance crisis in pneumococcal infections. This study examined the safety and immunogenicity in healthy adults vaccinated with three doses of a protein-based pneumococcal vaccine containing pneumococcal surface protein A (PspA) (PRX1, P3296 and P5668) and in combination with a recombinant detoxified pneumolysin protein (PlyLD). Methods: This phase Ia randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled clinical study enrolled healthy adults aged 18–49 years. The participants were randomized into experimental (low-dose, medium-dose, high-dose) and placebo groups in a ratio of 3:1. Three doses of investigational vaccine were given to the participants with an interval of two months. Safety endpoints included the occurrence of total adverse reactions, solicited local and systemic adverse reactions, unsolicited adverse reactions, serious adverse events (SAEs), and several laboratory parameters. Immunogenicity endpoints included geometric mean titers (GMT) of anti-PspA (PRX1, P3296 and P5668) and anti-PlyLD antibodies level as determined by ELISA, seropositivity rates of PspA and PlyLD antibodies (>4-fold increase) and neutralization activity of anti-Ply antibody in serum. Results: A total of 118 participants completed the study of three doses. The candidate PBPV was safe and well-tolerated in all experimental groups. No vaccine-related SAEs were observed in this study. Most solicited adverse reactions were mild and transient. The most frequently reported solicited adverse reactions in the medium- and high-dose groups was pain at the injection site, while in the low-dose group it was elevated blood pressure. The immunogenicity data showed a sharp increase in the GMT level of anti-PspA-RX1, anti-PspA-3296, anti-PspA-5668, and anti-PlyLD antibodies in serum. The results also showed that the elicited antibodies were dosage-dependent. The high-dose group showed a higher immune response against PspA-RX1, PspA-3296, PspA-5668, and PlyLD antigens. However, repeat vaccination did not increase the level of anti-PspA antibodies but the level of anti-PlyLD antibody. High seropositivity rates were also observed for anti-PspA-RX1, anti-PspA-3296, anti-PspA-5668, and anti-PlyLD antibodies. In addition, a significant difference in the GMT levels of anti-Ply antibody between the high-, medium-, and low-dose groups post each vaccination were indicated by neutralization activity tests. Conclusions: The PBPV showed a safe and immunogenic profile in this clinical trial. Taking into consideration both safety and immunogenicity data, we propose a single dose of 50 µg (medium dose) of PBPV as the optimum approach in providing expanded protection against Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Background. Recently, microRNA-497 (miR-497) has been reported as a prognostic marker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, there is no systematic study summarizing these data. Herein, we elucidated the prognostic role of miR497 in HCC by using meta-analysis. Methods. We systematically searched Embase, PubMed, Web of Science, and, China National Knowledge Infrastructure for relevant studies. The two researchers conducted data extraction and quality evaluation independently. We used hazard ratios (HRs), odds ratios (ORs), and their 95% confidence interval (95% CI) to evaluate the relationship between miR-497 expression level and HCC prognosis. Results. A total of 6 studies involving 457 participants were included in this meta-analysis. Rosmarinic acid (RA), a natural phenolic acid compound with a variety of bioactive properties. However, the antidepressant activity and mechanism of RA remain unclear. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects and potential mechanisms of RA on chronic CORT injection induced depression-like behavior in mice. Male C57BL/6 J mice were intraperitoneally injected with CORT (10 mg/kg) and were orally given RA daily (10 or 20 mg/kg) for 21 consecutive days. In vitro, the HT22 cells were exposed to CORT (200 μM) with RA (12.5, 25 or 50 μM) and LY294002 (a PI3K inhibitor) or ANA-12 (a TrkB inhibitor) treatment. The depression-like behavior and various neurobiological changes in the mice and cell injury and levels of target proteins in vitro were subsequently assessed. Here, RA treatment decreased the expression of p-GR/GR, HSP90, FKBP51, SGK-1 in mice hippocampi. Besides, RA increased the average optical density of Nissl bodies and number of dendritic spines in CA3 region, and enhanced Brdu and DCX expression and synaptic transduction in DG region, as well as up-regulated both the BDNF/TrkB/CREB and PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling. Moreover, RA reduced structural damage and apoptosis in HT22 cells, increased the differentiation and maturation of them. More importantly, LY294002, but not ANA-12, reversed the effect of RA on GR nuclear translocation. Taken together, RA exerted antidepressant activities by modulating the hippocampal glucocorticoid signaling and hippocampal neurogenesis, which related to the BDNF/TrkB/PI3K signaling axis regulating GR nuclear translocation, provide evidence for the application of RA as a candidate for depression.

In this paper, a novel corrugated steel sheet central sheathed cold-formed steel (CCS-CFS) shear wall is proposed. This shear wall can address the problems of low shear strength and ductility in conventional cold-formed steel (CFS) shear walls caused by screw connection failure and eccentric sheet arrangement. A numerical simulation method for the novel shear wall was developed and verified through cyclic loading test results of two full-size shear wall specimens. Parameter analysis was then conducted to investigate the effects of screw spacing, sheet thickness ratio, and aspect ratio on the seismic performance of these shear walls, accompanied by design recommendations. The results indicated that this innovative shear wall configuration can effectively resolve the connection failure between the frame and the sheet. Furthermore, the CCS-CFS shear wall can effectively improve shear strength, energy dissipation capacity, and ductility. The developed numerical simulation method can accurately capture the hysteretic properties and failure modes of shear walls. In addition, it can address the shortcomings in conventional models that neglect the mixed hardening characteristic of steel and metal damage criteria, resulting in inaccurate simulation results and unrealistic buckling modes. The principal failure modes observed in the novel shear wall were identified as the plastic buckling of corrugated steel sheathing and the distortional buckling of the end stud. Reducing the screw spacing has a limited impact on its shear strength. It is recommended that the sheet thickness ratio of the CCS-CFS shear wall should be greater than 2.0, while the aspect ratio can be relaxed to 10:4.

Climate change and increasing urbanization have contributed greatly to urban flooding, making it a global problem. The resilient city approach provides new ideas for urban flood prevention research, and currently, enhancing urban flood resilience is an effective means for alleviating urban flooding pressure. This study proposes a method to quantify the resilience value of urban flooding based on the `4R' theory of resilience, by coupling the urban rainfall and flooding model to simulate urban flooding, and the simulation results are used for calculating index weights and assessing the spatial distribution of urban flood resilience in the study area. The results indicate that (1) the high level of flood resilience in the study area is positively correlated with the points prone to waterlogging; the more an area is prone to waterlogging, the lower the flood resilience value. (2) The flood resilience index in most areas shows a significant local spatial clustering effect, the number of areas with nonsignificant local spatial clustering accounting for 46% of the total. The urban flood resilience assessment system constructed in this study provides a reference for assessing the urban flood resilience of other cities, thus facilitating the decision-making process of urban planning and disaster mitigation. Highlights 4-nm-thick Pt nanosheets (Pt-NSs) are electrochemically grown on Ti substrates for hydrogen evolution reactions. Highly uniform Pt-NS surface coverage with an ultralow loading of 0.015 mgPt cm−2 is achieved. 99.5% catalyst savings and about 237-fold higher catalyst utilization are demonstrated.

ABSTRACT: Objectives: To evaluate the safety, immunogenicity, and lot-to-lot consistency of Sabin strain-based inactivated polio vaccine (sIPV) in a five-dose vial presentation. Methods: Stage I was an open-label safety observation, in which 72 healthy subjects (including 24 adults, children, and infants each) were given one or three doses of the five-dose vial sIPV; stage II was a randomized, blinded, and positive-control study, in which 1500 infants were randomized at the ratio of 1: 1: 1: 1: 1 into five groups to receive either three doses of the five-dose sIPV three lots, a conventional inactivated poliovirus vaccine, or a single-dose sIPV as controls, for primary immunization. Safety, immunogenicity, and lot-to-lot consistency were assessed. Results: Among 1456 subjects who completed the primary immunization, the geometric mean titer ratios of types 1, 2, and 3 of each pair of lots were all within the equivalence criteria margin (0.67-1.50). The seroconversion rates of types 1, 2, and 3 in the combined test group were 98.02%, 94.07%, and 98.77%, respectively, which were noninferior to both control groups. The overall incidence of adverse reactions was 29.68% and erythema was the most common adverse reaction with incidences of 10.47%,9.33%, and 9.73% in the combined test group and control groups (P >0.05). Conclusion: The five-dose sIPV demonstrated good safety, immunogenicity, and lot-to-lot consistency.

Abstract Background The emergence of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) attracted extensive attention. Information on CRKP from hospital wastewater (HWW) is limited. The aims of this study were to investigate the genomic characteristics and to evaluate the survivability characteristics of 11 CRKP from HWW in a Chinese teaching hospital in Fujian province. Results A total of 11 CRKP from HWW were recovered in this study. All CRKP from HWW were resistant to most antibiotics. Comparative genetic analysis demonstrated that all CRKP isolates were clustered into the three distinct phylogenetic clades and clade 2 and clade 3 were mixtures of samples collected from both HWW and clinical settings. Varieties of resistance genes, virulence genes and plasmid replicon types were detected in CRKP from HWW. In vitro transfer of bla KPC-2 was successful for 3 bla KPC-2-positive CRKP from HWW with high conjugation frequency. Our study demonstrated that the genetic environments of bla KPC−2 shared core structure with ISKpn27-bla KPC−2-ISKpn6. Group analysis showed that CRKP from HWW had a lower survivability in serum compared to clinical CRKP (p 005). Conclusions We analyzed the genomic and survivability characteristics of CRKP from HWW in a Chinese teaching hospital. These genomes represent a significant addition of genomic data from the genus and could serve as a valuable resource for future genomic studies about CRKP from HWW.

To address the multi-flexible integrated scheduling problem with setup times, a multi-flexible integrated scheduling algorithm is put forward. First, the operation optimization allocation strategy, based on the principle of the relatively long subsequent path, is proposed to assign the operations to idle machines. Second, the parallel optimization strategy is proposed to adjust the scheduling of the planned operations and machines to make the processing as parallel as possible and reduce the no-load machines. Then, the flexible operation determination strategy is combined with the above two strategies to determine the dynamic selection of the flexible operations as the planned operations. Finally, a potential operation preemptive strategy is proposed to judge whether the planned operations will be interrupted by other operations during their processing. The results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively solve the multi-flexible integrated scheduling with setup times, and it can also better solve the flexible integrated scheduling problem.

To explore the feasibility of adjusting the photoperiod to regulate the life parameters and predation ability of Harmonia axyridis Pallas in greenhouses during the winter, life tables were constructed for H. axyridis under the three following photoperiods: 9L:15D (light/dark), 12L:12D, and 16L:8D at 15 °C, an average greenhouse temperature during the winter when aphids severely damage vegetables. The effects of photoperiods on predation by this ladybird were tested in both laboratory and greenhouse settings. The results showed that increased illumination promoted the development and reproduction of H. axyridis; under medium and long photoperiods, the pre-adult periods were 3.61 days and 4.34 days shorter than that under the short photoperiod, respectively, and the fecundity increased by 1.78 and 2.41 times. Population parameters r, λ, and R0 increased as illumination time increased, whereas T decreased. Increased illumination also increased the predation by third- and fourth-instar larvae and adults. The amounts of predation by fourth-instar larvae and adults increased by 22.16% and 75.09% under the medium photoperiod, and those under the long photoperiod increased by 71.96% and 89.64%, respectively. The numbers of Myzus persicae Sulzer predated by H. axyridis under the long photoperiod were higher than those under the short photoperiod in a greenhouse, and the predation parameters were influenced.

To improve the chemical regulation on the activity of cyclic dinucleotides (CDNs), we here designed a reduction-responsive dithioethanol (DTE)-based dCDN prodrug 9 (DTE-dCDN). Prodrug 9 improved the cell permeability with the intracellular levels peaking in 2 h in THP-1 cells. Under the reductive substance such as GSH or DTT, prodrug 9 could be quickly decomposed in 30 min to release the parent dCDN. In THP1-Lucia cells, prodrug 9 also retained a high bioactivity with the EC50 of 0.96 μM, which was 51-, 43-, and 3-fold more than the 2′,3′-cGAMP (EC50 = 48.6 μM), the parent compound 3′,3′-c-di-dAMP (EC50 = 41.3 μM), and ADU-S100 (EC50 = 2.9 μM). The high bioactivity of prodrug 9 was validated to be highly correlated with the activation of the STING signaling pathway. Furthermore, prodrug 9 could also improve the transcriptional expression levels of IFN-β, CXCL10, IL-6, and TNF-α in THP-1 cells. These results will be helpful to the development of chemically controllable CDN prodrugs with a high cellular permeability and potency.

This phase III clinical trial aimed to assess the safety and demonstrate the immunogenicity of a candidate freeze-dried purified Vero cell-based rabies vaccine (PVRV-WIBP) developed for human use. A cohort of 40 participants in stage 1 and 1956 subjects in stage 2 with an age range of 10–50 years were recruited for the phase III clinical trial. For safety analysis in stage 1, 20 participants received either 4-dose or 5-dose regimen of PVRV-WIBP. In stage 2, 1956 subjects were randomly divided into the 5-dose PVRV-WIBP, 5-dose PVRV-LNCD, and 4-dose PVRV-WIBP groups. The serum neutralizing antibody titer against rabies was determined on day 7 or 14 and day 35 or 42. Adverse reactions were recorded for more than 6 months. Most adverse reactions, which were mild and moderate in severity, occurred and resolved within 1 week after each injection in the PVRV-WIBP (4 and 5 doses) and PVRV-LNCD (5 doses) groups. All three groups achieved complete seroconversion 14 days after the initial dose and 14 days after completing the full vaccination schedule, the susceptible subjects in the PVRV-WIBP group (4-dose or 5-dose regimen) displayed higher neutralizing antibody titers against the rabies virus compared to those in the PVRV-LNCD group (5-dose regimen). PVRV-WIBP induced non-inferior immune responses versus PVRV-LNCD as assessed by seroconversion rate. PVRV-WIBP was well tolerated and non-inferior to PVRV-LNCD in healthy individuals aged 10–50 years. The results indicated that PVRV-WIBP (both 4- and 5-dose schedules) could be an alternative to rabies post-exposure prophylaxis.

Aiming at the existing flexible integrated scheduling algorithms that use unified rules to solve the conflicts between processes and equipment, and ignore the vertical and horizontal characteristics of the process relative positions in the process tree, a flexible integrated scheduling algorithm for dynamic determination processing equipment considering the Root-Subtree vertical and horizontal pre-scheduling (FISA-DEVH) is proposed. The process sorting strategy of the Root-Subtree vertical and horizontal pre-scheduling is proposed to sort the Root-Subtree processes of the same planned processing equipment in groups and load the Root-Subtree processes into the corresponding equipment queues, so as to fully explore the vertical and horizontal characteristics of the process. In order to give full play to the characteristics of the flexible equipment and realize the effective parallel processing between the processes, the flexible equipment optimal scheduling strategy of dynamically determining process is proposed to determine the final processing equipment of the process at each equipment driving moment and complete the production scheduling process from the Root-Subtree static pre-scheduling to dynamic fusion; The strategy uses the scheduling relationship between the unplanned processes and unplanned equipment to reduce the search scope of the combination scheme and improve the efficiency of the algorithm. The example tests show that FISA-DEVH has a better scheduling effect than the flexible integrated scheduling algorithm that processes the process tree with unified rules, and has universal significance for solving the flexible integrated scheduling problem.

Abstract The geographical environment of Yunnan Province in China and Han migration during the Ming Dynasty contributed to the development of the Biantun culture. Biantun toponyms (BTT) record the integration process between the Central Plains and native Yunnan cultures. The GIS analysis method of toponyms was used in this study to reproduce the settlement characteristics of BTT and the spatial development of the Biantun culture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In addition, we have developed a toponymical landscape index to represent the degree of spatial integration between the BTT and ethnic minority toponyms in Yunnan and explore the spatial characteristics of the integration of Han immigrants and local ethnic minorities. The results show that the spatial distribution of the BTT is consistent with the sites selection of the Tuntian (屯田) in Yunnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the centroids of BTT spread to outskirts and intermontane area from central towns. In the Dali, Kunming, Qujing and other regions, the distribution characteristics of the integrated of BTT and ethnic minority toponyms reflect a higher degree of Sinicization in the central urban areas. Exploring the evolution of Biantun cultural development through the spatial characteristics of toponymical landscapes can help adjust policies for the development and protection of Biantun cultural resources.

Abstract The emergence of cylindrical vector beam (CVB) multiplexing has opened new avenues for high-capacity optical communication. Although several configurations have been developed to couple/separate CVBs, the CVB multiplexer/demultiplexer remains elusive due to lack of effective off-axis polarization control technologies. Here we report a straightforward approach to realize off-axis polarization control for CVB multiplexing/demultiplexing based on a metal–dielectric–metal metasurface. We show that the left- and right-handed circularly polarized (LHCP/RHCP) components of CVBs are independently modulated via spin-to-orbit interactions by the properly designed metasurface, and then simultaneously multiplexed and demultiplexed due to the reversibility of light path and the conservation of vector mode. We also show that the proposed multiplexers/demultiplexers are broadband (from 1310 to 1625 nm) and compatible with wavelength-division-multiplexing. As a proof of concept, we successfully demonstrate a four-channel CVB multiplexing communication, combining wavelength-division-multiplexing and polarization-division-multiplexing with a transmission rate of 1.56 Tbit/s and a bit-error-rate of 10−6 at the receive power of −21.6 dBm. This study paves the way for CVB multiplexing/demultiplexing and may benefit high-capacity CVB communication.

Safe and effective vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 for children are urgently needed. Here we aimed to assess the safety and immunogenicity of an inactivated COVID-19 vaccine candidate, WIBP-CorV, in participants aged 3-17 years. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 1/2 clinical trial was conducted in Henan Province, China, in healthy children aged 3-17 years. 240 participants in phase 1 trial and 576 participants in phase 2 trial were randomly assigned to vaccine or control with an age de-escalation in three cohorts (3-5, 6-12 and 13-17 years) and dose-escalation in three groups (2.5, 5.0 and 10.0μg/dose), and received 3 intramuscular injections at day 0, 28, and 56. WIBP-CorV showed a promising safety profile with approximately 17% adverse reactions within 30 days after injection and no grade 3 or worse adverse events. The most common adverse reaction was injection site pain, followed by fever, which were mild and self-limiting. The geometric mean titers of neutralizing antibody ranged from 102.2 to 1065.5 in vaccinated participants at 28 days after the third vaccination, and maintained at a range of 14.3 to 218.2 at day 180 after the third vaccination. WIBP-CorV elicited significantly higher titers of neutralizing antibody in the cohort aged 3-5 years than the other two cohorts. There were no detectable antibody responses in all alum-only groups. Taken together, our data demonstrate that WIBP-CorV is safe and well tolerated at all tested doses in participants aged 3-17 years, and elicited robust humoral responses against SARS-CoV-2 lasted for at least 6 months after the third vaccination. In previous studies using night-time light (NTL) image in analyzing light pollution, most of the researchers focused on national or regional scale analysis. While in this article we focus on the perception of light pollution's influence to the environment of human settlement. We propose an analysis method mainly utilizing NTL images and a city's point of interest (POI) data to assess the light pollution from the aspect of its impact on the environment of city residents. The method quickly provides light pollution analysis at a fine spatial scale. We also address the POI data in a novel aggregating algorithm to better construct the area of interest, which can conquer the limitation of spatial resolution of NTL data in some extent. By doing the assessment in two Chinese medium-size cities, light pollution sources, the pollution level for each residence are found and analyzed. Furthermore, several light pollution patterns are discovered and interpreted. The result of the experiment demonstrates our assessment method provides a fast way to analyze light pollution patterns and can show the detailed light pollution situation in a city.

At present, the surveillance of river floating in China is labor-intensive, time-consuming, and may miss something, so a fast and accurate automatic detection method is necessary. The two-stage convolutional neural network models appear to have high detection accuracy, but it is hard to reach real-time detection, while on the other hand, the one-stage models are less time-consuming but have lower accuracy. In response to the above problems, we propose a one-stage object detection model EYOLOv3 to achieve real-time and high accuracy detection of floating objects in video streams. Firstly, we design a multi-scale feature extraction and fusion module to improve the feature extraction capability of the network. Secondly, a better clustering algorithm is used to analyze the size characteristics of floating objects to design the anchor box, enabling the network to detect objects more effectively. Then a focus loss function is proposed to make the network effectively overcome the sample imbalance problem, and finally, an improved NMS algorithm is proposed to solve the object suppressed problem. Experiments show that the proposed model is efficient in detection of river floating objects, and has better performance than the classical object detection method and the latest method, realizing real-time floating detection in video streams.

Chronic urticaria (CU) is a debilitating skin disease that lasts for more than 6 weeks with wheals and/or angioedema, including chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) and chronic inducible urticaria (CIndU). In China, the prevalence of this disease is high, more than 1%, and on the rise. CU has a major impact on the quality of life (QoL) of patients who frequently experience sleep disturbance, depression, and anxiety. Nearly one-third of patients with CSU, in China, are resistant to second-generation H1-antihistamines (sgAHs), even at a fourfold dose (second line; off-label). Omalizumab is approved for the treatment of CSU treatment in Europe and shows remarkable efficacy and safety. In China, regulatory approval for the use of omalizumab is pending, and its use in clinical practice varies widely. Consensus on omalizumab CU treatment in China is urgently needed. The aim of this article is to propose a practical omalizumab treatment algorithm for the management of antihistamine-resistant CSU and CIndU in adults and special population including children and adolescents, and pregnant or breast feeding women, to guide daily clinical practice in China. In the development of this consensus, an expert group including mainly dermatologists, allergists, but also pulmonologists, ENTs, immunologists, and pediatricians in Allergic Disease Prevention and Control Committee, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, reviewed the existing evidence and developed consensus on the use of omalizumab in CU patients from China. The goal of this consensus is to assist clinicians in making rational decisions in the management of refractory CU with omalizumab. The key clinical questions covered by the treatment algorithm are: 1) Omalizumab treatment routine strategy in both CSU and CIndU patients; 2) Recommended dose and treatment duration for different age stratification; 3) Treatment duration for CU patients with other allergic comorbidities; 4) Recommendation on omalizumab stopping strategy.

This study reviewed some simplified methods of finite element analysis (FEA) for connections in cold-formed steel (CFS) structure, and summarized eight simplified methods divided into three categories. Shear performance tests were performed for six groups of self-piercing riveted (SPR) connection in CFS. A constitutive model of shear behavior for SPR connections was proposed, which was simplified from the load–displacement curve of shear performance test results. The models of SPR connection were established in ABAQUS by the eight simplified methods, and then the FEA results and the test results were compared. The applicable scope of each simplified model was explored, and a simplified method of FEA that was most suitable for the shear behavior of the CFS-SPR connection was proposed. Moreover, the shear performance test of the CFS shear wall with SPR was conducted by considering the rivet spacing, and failure modes and load–deformation curves were obtained. On this basis, numerical models of the CFS-SPR connection shear wall were established. By comparing the test results and the FEA results for the CFS-SPR connection shear wall, the feasibility of a simplified method of FEA applied to the CFS-SPR connection was verified. The main failure modes of the CFS-SPR connection were that the rivet tail pulled out from the bottom sheet and the rivet head pulled over from the top sheet. The SPR connection of the CFS frame could be simplified with a pin or a fastener element, and the SPR connection between the steel frame and the sheathing could be simulated by a Cartesian connector or a Spring2 element. The FEA results were highly similar to the test results for the CFS-SPR shear wall.

The integrated scheduling problem is a classical combinatorial optimization problem. The existing integrated scheduling algorithms generally adopt the short-time scheduling strategy that does not fully consider the impact of the degree of process parallelism on scheduling results. In order to further optimize the total processing time of a product and the utilization rate of a device, an integrated scheduling algorithm based on a process end time-driven and the long-time scheduling strategy is proposed. The proposed integrated scheduling algorithm sets up a separate candidate process queue for each device and determines the scheduling order for each scheduling queue on the premise of satisfying the constraint conditions of the process tree. Driven by the process end time, the algorithm finds schedulable processes for each device. If the schedulable process is unique, it is scheduled. Otherwise, if the schedulable process is not unique, the process with long-path and long-time is scheduled. In particular, the scheduling strategies of the scheduling queues of different devices are symmetric, and the constraint relationships between the processes in different queues are asymmetric. The case analysis results show that the proposed integrated scheduling algorithm is better than some existing algorithms in terms of the total processing time of a product and the average utilization rate of devices. Therefore, the proposed algorithm provides a new idea for processing the scheduling of a single complex product.

Complex products with a tree-like structure usually have an asymmetric structure. Therefore, in order to avoid the separation of equipment and operation correlation during the scheduling, the structural attributes of products and the use of equipment resources should be fully considered. However, this feature is ignored in the current research works on the scheduling of multi-variety and small batch products. This leads to increased idle time for equipment and an extended makespan for products. To avoid this situation, a heuristic integrated scheduling algorithm via processing characteristics of various machines (HIS-PCVM) is proposed. In the integrated scheduling, the algorithm first divides the equipment into two categories: the special equipment and the general equipment according to the resources of the production scheduling system. Then, different scheduling methods are designed according to the equipment categories. The makespan of the product is further optimized through various combination methods. Moreover, the constraint audit strategy to guarantee the constraint relationship between the operations is optimized. The earliest scheduling time strategy is proposed to improve the parallelism and serial tightness of the operations. These strategies reduce the idle time of equipment effectively. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a better application effect in reducing the makespan of complex products, both with asymmetric structures and symmetric structures. This also shows that the algorithm is effective in improving the utilization rate of equipment.

Background: We aimed to assess the safety and immunogenicity of an inactivated vaccine against COVID-19 in Chinese adults aged ≥18 years. Methods: This is an ongoing randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 1/2 clinical trial among healthy adults aged ≥18 years in Henan Province, China. Participants (n = 336 in 18–59 age group and n = 336 in ≥60 age group) were enrolled between April 12 and May 17 2020, and were equally randomized to receive vaccine or placebo (aluminum hydroxide adjuvant) in a three-dose schedule of 2·5, 5, or 10 µg on days 0, 28, and 56. Another 448 adults aged 18–59 years were equally allocated to four groups (a one-dose schedule of 10 µg, and two-dose schedules of 5 µg on days 0 and 14/21/28) and received vaccine or placebo (ratio 3:1 within each group). The primary outcomes were 7-day post-injection adverse reactions and neutralizing antibody titres on days 28 and 90 after the whole-course vaccination. Trial registration: www.chictr.org.cn #ChiCTR2000031809. Findings: The 7-day adverse reactions occurred in 4·8% to 32·1% of the participants in various groups, and most adverse reactions were mild, transient, and self-limiting. Twenty participants reported 68 serious adverse events which were judged to be unrelated to the vaccine. The 90-day post-injection geometric mean titres of neutralizing antibody ranged between 87 (95% CI: 61–125) and 129 (99–169) for three-dose schedule among younger and older adults; 20 (14–27), 53 (38–75), and 44 (32–61) in 5 µg days 0 and 14/21/28 groups, respectively, and 7 (6–9) in one-dose 10 µg group. There were no detectable antibody responses in all placebo groups. Interpretation: The inactivated vaccine against COVID-19 was well tolerated and immunogenic in both younger and older adults. The two-dose schedule of 5 µg on days 0 and 21/28 and three-dose schedules on days 0, 28, and 56 could be further evaluated for long-term safety and efficacy in the phase 3 trials. This paper studied a class of coupling problems of material assignment, part nesting, kit delivery and parallel machine scheduling. The aim of this paper was to solve the scheduling problem of metal structural part processing and welding assembly with eligibility constraints. A two-stage mixed-integer programming model was constructed. The eligibility constraints took into account the material type of parts and nesting. The objectives were to minimize the makespan, maximize material utilization and minimize the kit delivery metrics (kitting time and numbers of earliness and tardiness of kits). A hierarchical optimization approach was proposed. The scheduling model was solved by using the Gurobi solver in the first stage, and the results were used to constrain the second stage. The second stage of the scheduling model was solved using an improved multi-objective genetic algorithm. Due to the strong coupling relationships among the sorting of parts, the sorting of each profile and the sorting of each material, a hybrid encoding and decoding mode was designed for part sorting with eligibility constraints. Finally, the proposed scheduling approach was applied to actual production cases. The data showed that when the number of components exceeded 300 (the number of parts was about 1500), the material utilization reached 95%. Choosing a suitable number of machines, machine utilization reached 90%. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed scheduling model and algorithm.

Realizing autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) inspection is of great significance for power line maintenance. This paper introduces a scheme of using the structure of a tower to realize visual geographical positioning of UAV for tower inspection and presents a monocular semantic simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) framework termed PTI-SLAM (power tower inspection SLAM) to cope with the challenge of a tower inspection scene. The proposed scheme utilizes prior knowledge of tower component geolocation and regards geographical positioning as the estimation of transformation between SLAM and the geographic coordinates. To accomplish the robust positioning and semi-dense semantic mapping with limited computing power, PTI-SLAM combines the feature-based SLAM method with a fusion-based direct method and conveys a loosely coupled architecture of a semantic task and a SLAM task. The fusion-based direct method is specially designed to overcome the fragility of the direct method against adverse conditions concerning the inspection scene. Experiment results show that PTI-SLAM inherits the robustness advantage of the feature-based method and the semi-dense mapping ability of the direct method and achieves decimeter-level real-time positioning in the airborne system. The experiment concerning geographical positioning indicates more competitive accuracy compared to the previous visual approach and artificial UAV operating, demonstrating the potential of PTI-SLAM.

The study was to evaluate the safety, immunogenicity and lot-to-lot consistency of live attenuated varicella vaccine in Chinese population aged 1–3 years. The double-blind, randomized phase III trial was conducted in Henan Province, China. In total, 1197 subjects were included in this study. Subjects were randomly assigned into four groups in a 2:2:2:1 ratio to receive one of the three lots of commercial scale (CS) vaccine or the licensed pilot scale (LPS) vaccine. Seroconversion rate and neutralizing antibody titers (NATb) were assessed at day 0 pre-vaccination and at day 30 post-vaccination. Safety data were recorded for 30 days post-vaccination. After vaccination, the geometric mean titers (GMTs) of the three CS groups were 25.04 (95% confidence interval [CI], 22.85 to 27.44), 24.47 (95% CI, 22.35 to 26.78) and 25.88 (95% CI, 23.61 to 28.36), respectively (P= 0.6928). The ratio of GMTs adjusted for covariates of each pair of lots were all between 0.67 to 1.50 in susceptible subjects. The difference of seroconversion rate between pooled CS group and LPS group was 3.82 (95% CI, 0.55 to 8.81). Meanwhile, the percentage of solicited local, systemic and unsolicited adverse reactions showed no difference across the four groups, and most of the adverse reactions were mild or moderate in intensity. The CS group was comparable to the LPS group in safety and immunogenicity. The consistency of three consecutive CS lots was reliable. Moreover, the CS group was non-inferior to the LPS group.

Singular beams with spatially variant field distributions have various fantastic applications. However, one of the significant challenges that hinder the wide application of singular beams is how to effectively identify the topological charge and the polarization order of arbitrary singular beams. We found that when a light beam with arbitrary polarization state illuminates a polarization-sensitive blazed-grating, the horizontal and vertical component can be separated from the incident beam. Based on this phenomenon, an effective method is proposed to probe the integral topological charge and polarization order of arbitrary singular beams. With this detection method, the vortex beam, cylindrical vector beam and cylindrical vector vortex beam with different topological charges and polarization orders have been experimentally identified. This effective detection method can be widely used to measure the topological charge and polarization order of arbitrary singular beams.

Aim: To evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of a booster dose of live attenuated varicella vaccine (VarV) manufactured by Sinovac (Dalian) Vaccine Technology Co. Ltd., and the immune persistence of a primary dose in 2- to 6-year-old children. Methods: A phase IV, open-label study was conducted in China. Children previously vaccinated with a single dose of VarV at 1~3 years old received one dose of homologous VarV in the first year, the second year, or the third year after the primary immunization as booster immunization. Immune persistence was evaluated in an immune persistence analysis set, while immunogenicity was evaluated in a per-protocol analysis set, and safety was evaluated in a safety analysis set. The primary endpoint was the seropositive rate and the seroconversion rate of VarV antibody. The trial was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT02981836). Results: From July 2018 to August 2020, a total of 849 vaccinated children received the booster vaccination of VarV, one booster dose for each child (301 vaccinated in the first year after primary immunization (Group 1), 276 vaccinated in the second year after primary immunization (Group 2), 272 vaccinated in the third year after primary immunization (Group 3)). The seropositive rates were 99.34%, 97.83%, and 98.16% in Groups 1–3, with GMTs of 1:22.56, 1:18.49, and 1:18.45, respectively. Thirty days after the vaccine booster dose, the seropositive rates of the three groups were all 100% and the seroconversion rates were 52.54%, 67.46%, and 66.67%, with GMTs of 1:68.49, 1:76.32 and 1:78.34, respectively. The seroconversion rates in Groups 2 and 3 were both higher than that in Group 1 (p = 0.0005 and p = 0.0008). The overall incidence of adverse reactions was 7.77%, with 7.64%, 8.33%, and 7.35% in Groups 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The main symptom among adverse reactions was fever, the incidence of which ranged from 5.07% to 6.64% in each group, and no vaccine-related serious adverse events occurred. Conclusions: VarV had good immune persistence in 1~3 years after primary immunization. A vaccine booster dose for children aged 1~3 years after primary immunization recalled specific immune response to varicella-zoster virus, with no safety concerns increased.

The development of high-speed optical communication calls for compatible multiplexing dimensions to enlarge transmission capacity and process optical information. Although vortex beam multiplexing has been previously demonstrated by exploiting the orthogonality of orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes, the multidimensional demultiplexer remains elusive due to the limited phase and polarization manipulation capability. We introduce dielectric propagation phase metasurface based demultiplexers and investigate their application in simultaneously demultiplexing OAM and orthogonal linear polarization (OLP) channels. Utilizing the size-dependent anisotropy of dielectric rectangular nano-pillars, we reveal that the multimode fork grating phase masks with different off-axis phase items can be integrated on the same substrate with polarization selectivity, which allows simultaneously demultiplexing OAM and OLP channels. The demultiplexed position and the number of channels depend on its off-axis phase items, and a 16-channel (8-OAM modes and 2-polarization states) demultiplexer is demonstrated. The vortex beams with different OAM modes and OLP states are successfully demultiplexed with the maximum crosstalk is below −9.2 dB. Changing the number of superimposed complex amplitudes and the off-axis phase items in multimode fork grating phase masks, we further present two 12-channel demultiplexers with different channel distributions. Our results provide an approach that breaks the polarization-insensitive in manipulating OAM modes, introducing demultiplexers that apply to OAM mode and OLP states simultaneously.

Aiming at the existing intelligent optimization algorithms for solving the integrated scheduling problem of complex products with tree structure, there are problems of missing optimal solutions when designing encoding methods or generating infeasible offspring while designing evolutionary operators, an integrated scheduling algorithm based on the priority constraint table is proposed in this paper. A novel encoding method based on the dynamic priority constraint table is developed, which can guarantee the feasibility and completeness of the initial population individuals. For the legitimacy of the generated offspring individuals, two new different crossover and mutation methods are designed separately. The introduced evolutionary operators can avoid the detection and repairment of the infeasible individuals. An insertion-based greedy decoding method is also developed. In addition, based on the critical operations, a local search strategy is presented to enhance the search ability for the superior solutions. The feasibility and superiority of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparative experiments.

Using toponym data, population data, and night-time light data, we visualized the development index of the Yi, Wa, Zhuang, Naxi, Hani, and Dai ethnic groups on ArcGIS as well as the distribution of 25 ethnic minorities in the study area. First, we extracted the toponym data of 25 ethnic minorities in the study area, combined with night-time light data and the population proportion data of each ethnic group, then we obtained the development index of each ethnic group in the study area. We compared the development indexes of the Yi, Wa, Zhuang, Naxi, Hani, and Dai ethnic groups with higher development indexes. The results show that the Yi nationality’s development index was the highest, reaching 28.86 (with two decimal places), and the Dai nationality’s development index was the lowest (15.22). The areas with the highest minority development index were concentrated in the core area of the minority development, and the size varied with the minority’s distance. According to the distribution of ethnic minorities, we found that the Yi ethnic group was distributed in almost the entire study area, while other ethnic minorities had obvious geographical distribution characteristics, and there were multiple ethnic minorities living together. This research is of great significance to the cultural protection of ethnic minorities, the development of ethnic minorities, and the remote sensing mapping of lights at night.

Cylindrical vector vortex (CVV) beam, which possesses both helical phase front and spatially inhomogeneous polarization, is a promising structured light for its various applications ranging from optical communication to optical field manipulation and optical microscopy. However, approaches to generate CVV beams with switchable and tunable polarization order and topological charge are still immature, which hinders the wide application of CVV beams. In this paper, we have experimentally demonstrated that order-controllable CVV beams can be produced by using spatial light modulator (SLM) and equivalent q-plate system at wavelength of 1550.8 nm. It is shown that the topological charge of the CVV beam can be switched by directly programming the SLM. We have also demonstrated that the polarization order of the CVV beam can be tuned to as high as eight by employing an equivalent q -plate system, which consists of two cascaded metasurfaces and a half-wave plate. To further verify the helical phase of the CVV beam, we have proposed a novel measurement method based on first removing the vector property and then interfering the remaining helical phase with plane wave or spherical wave.

Objective This study aimed to examine the predictive value of a routine urine test for premature rupture of the fetal membranes. Methods Routine urine test data of 100 patients with preterm premature rupture of the membranes (PPROM) and 100 patients with full-term premature rupture of the membranes (PROM) were collected by the case-based method. Additionally, 100 healthy pregnant women and 100 nonpregnant adult healthy women were selected as the negative control group and blank control group, respectively. A receiver operating characteristic curve was established after identifying the different parameters. Results We found that occult blood, glucose, ketone bodies, urine specific gravity, red blood cell count, epithelial cell count, bacteria, yeast, crystals, and electrical conductivity were significantly different between the PPROM and PROM groups. There were significant differences in occult blood, protein, glucose, ketone bodies, pH, red blood cell count, bacteria, urine specific gravity, crystals, and electrical conductivity between the PPROM and full-term groups. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed that when the cut-off for bacteria was 130.15, it had the largest area under the curve value of 0.696. Conclusion A routine urine test, especially for bacterial counts, has certain predictive value for PROM.

To solve the problem of the deadline-constrained task scheduling in the cloud computing system, this paper proposes a deadline-constrained scheduling algorithm for cloud computing based on the driver of dynamic essential path (Deadline-DDEP). According to the changes of the dynamic essential path of each task node in the scheduling process, the dynamic sub-deadline strategy is proposed. The strategy assigns different sub-deadline values to every task node to meet the constraint relations among task nodes and the user's defined deadline. The strategy fully considers the dynamic sub-deadline affected by the dynamic essential path of task node in the scheduling process. The paper proposed the quality assessment of optimization cost strategy to solve the problem of selecting server for each task node. Based on the sub-deadline urgency and the relative execution cost in the scheduling process, the strategy selects the server that not only meets the sub-deadline but also obtains much lower execution cost. In this way, the proposed algorithm will make the task graph complete within its deadline, and minimize its total execution cost. Finally, we demonstrate the proposed algorithm via the simulation experiments using Matlab tools. The experimental results show that, the proposed algorithm produces remarkable performance improvement rate on the total execution cost that ranges between 10.3% and 30.8% under meeting the deadline constraint. In view of the experimental results, the proposed algorithm provides better-quality scheduling solution that is suitable for scientific application task execution in the cloud computing environment than IC-PCP, DCCP and CD-PCP.

Aiming at the problem that the estimation of electric power consumption (EPC) by using night-time light (NTL) data is mostly concentrated in large areas, a method for estimating EPC in rural areas is proposed. Rural electric power consumption (REPC) is a key indicator of the national socio-economic development. Despite an improved quality of life in rural areas, there is still a big gap between electricity consumption between rural residents and urban residents in China. The experiment takes REPC as the research target, selects Dehong (DH) Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province as an example, and uses the NTL data from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Day–Night Band (DNB) carried by the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (NPP) Satellite from 2012 to 2017, toponym and points-of-interest (POI) data as the main data source. By performing kernel density estimation to extract the urban center and rural area boundaries in the prefecture, and combining the county-level boundary data and electric power data, a linear regression model of the total rural NTL intensity and REPC is estimated. Finally, according to the model, the EPC in ethnic minority rural areas is estimated at a 1-km spatial resolution. The results show that the NPP-REPC model can simulate REPC within a small average error (17.8%). Additionally, there are distinct spatial differences of REPC in ethnic minority areas.

As a symbol language, toponyms have inherited the unique local historical culture in the long process of historical development. As the birthplace of Manchu, there are many toponyms originated from multi-ethnic groups (e.g., Manchu, Mongol, Korean, Hui, and Xibe) in Northeast China which possess unique cultural connotations. This study aimed to (1) establish a spatial-temporal database of toponyms in Northeast China using a multi-source data set, and identify their ethnic types and origin times; and (2) explore the geographical distribution characteristics of ethnic toponyms and the evolution of rural settlements by comparing the spatial analysis and spatial information entropy methods. The results found that toponyms reflect not only the spatial distribution characteristics of the density and direction of ethnic groups, but also the migration law of rural settlements. Results also confirm that toponyms contain unique cultural connotations and provide a theoretical basis for the protection and promotion of the cultural connotations of toponyms. This research provides an entropic perspective and method for exploring the spatial-temporal evolutionary characteristics of ethnic groups and toponym mapping.

The zero-dimensional Gröbner basis construction is a crucial step in Gröbner basis cryptanalysis on AES-256. In this paper, after performing an in-depth study on the linear transformation and the system of multivariate polynomial equations of AES-256, the zero-dimensional Gröbner basis construction method is proposed by choosing suitable term order and variable order. After giving a detailed construction process of the zero-dimensional Gröbner basis, the necessary theoretical proof is presented. Based on this, an algebraic cryptanalysis scheme of AES-256 using Gröbner basis is proposed. Analysis shows that the complexity of our scheme is lower than that of the exhaustive attack.

By using optical heterodyne technique, we demonstrated the stable emission of sub-terahertz wave with the frequency ranging from 88 GHz to 101 GHz, which can operate as microwave source for nonlinear response measurement system. Mutual frequency beating of two well-separated sideband signals at a 0.1 THz photo-detector (PD) allows for the generation of sub-terahertz signal. Based on this approach, we have achieved the radiation of 0.1 THz wave with power up to 4 mW. By transmittance measurement, two-dimensional nanomaterial topological insulator (TI: Bi2Te3) shows saturable absorption behaviors with normalized modulation depth of 47% at 0.1 THz. Our results show that optical heterodyne technique could be developed as an effective microwave source generation for nonlinear measurement at sub-terahertz, even terahertz band.

To solve the problem of task scheduling in the cloud computing system, this paper proposes a scheduling algorithm for cloud computing based on the driver of dynamic essential path (DDEP). This algorithm applies a predecessor-task layer priority strategy to solve the problem of constraint relations among task nodes. The strategy assigns different priority values to every task node based on the scheduling order of task node as affected by the constraint relations among task nodes, and the task node list is generated by the different priority value. To address the scheduling order problem in which task nodes have the same priority value, the dynamic essential long path strategy is proposed. This strategy computes the dynamic essential path of the pre-scheduling task nodes based on the actual computation cost and communication cost of task node in the scheduling process. The task node that has the longest dynamic essential path is scheduled first as the completion time of task graph is indirectly influenced by the finishing time of task nodes in the longest dynamic essential path. Finally, we demonstrate the proposed algorithm via simulation experiments using Matlab tools. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the task Makespan in most cases and meet a high quality performance objective.

Nanoporous copper is fabricated by dealloying the amorphous Ti2Cu alloy in 0.03 M HF electrolyte. The pore and ligament sizes of the nanoporous copper can be readily tailored by controlling the dealloying time. The as-prepared nanoporous copper provides fine and uniform nanoflowerpots to grow highly dispersed Au nanoflowers. The blooming Au nanoflowers in the nanoporous copper flowerpots exhibit both high catalytic activity and stability towards the oxidation of glucose, indicating that the amorphous alloys are ideal precursors to form nanoflowerpot which can grow functional nanoflowers.
